Hana Sushi is always our go to spot for a fresh sushi dinner. Their rolls are delicious and you can taste the freshness of the fish. The sunset roll is a must order every visit. The fresh slices of lemon on top, give each bite a fresh citrus explosion and complements the fish. Their rolls sunset princess roll is fresh and topped with creamy avocado. Each time we walk in, we're greeted and seated right away. Whether you're going to enjoy family dinner or date night, Hana is the place to be!

I've always been a fan of this place. Conveniently located and high quality with excellent service , what more could one ask for? They were 5 stars in the past and now just blah. Not sure if they don't realize their regulars see evidence of shrinkflation but they raise their prices and at the same time decrease their quality? Here's a great example of the chirashi bowl in the past and present. Had some for the best in the area in the past with several parts of squid, salmon, yellowtail and even salmon roe. Now they raise their prices and sub it a lot of it with giant pieces of ahi tuna ? That's not even sashimi and it's gross. It's hot mess and I hope they get back to their former quality soon

Some of the sushi were really good and some were extremely not for me (the ones that had lemons) were too lemony amd sour that overpowered the flavor of the sushi. Also a really big turn off for me was their table cleaning splution that smelled sooo strong that it overpowers the smell of the food. Each time i take a sip of my soup and take a bit of my food, all I smell is the chlorine. I hope they can tone it down.

Take a gander at the quality from my 5 star 2015 review to tonight March 2026. Absolutely garbage. To boot, the server secured me about the two roll 25.00 deal being dine in only after I sat down. Said she was doing me a favor and not charging me full price.

My friend and I stopped in here on our way back to her house, since we both had been craving sushi. They have a lunch special posted on their door and menus at the tables that includes two rolls for $22. Since the rolls range from $11-$19, we decided to go for the lunch special. I ordered a miso soup, and then the I love salmon roll and the future girlfriend no-rice roll. Both were really good and tasted fresh! The servers were so nice and attentive. I might have to check out their happy hour next time I am in!

I called because I got a door dash order. No chop sticks anything to eat it with. It's our fault because we didn't say we needed something to eat it with. We are staying in a hotel they Delivered to us. Okay fine we can eat the sushi with our fingers. We also got two kids chicken teriyaki. No sause on either one. The chef says he put it on. Got pictures no sauce anywhere. I don't mind having to eat our meals with our fingers. But the kids don't have to eat dry rice and chicken for over 80 dollars.

Now THIS is good sushi. Quality fish and fun rolls - What more can you ask for? I've driven an hour to this sushi spot on multiple occasions because it's just that good. I typically mix it up with one roll but for my second roll I ALWAYS get the Amber Roll. Simple but something about it is oh so tasty. The service and restaurant itself is pretty no frills but that's not a con for me. Great for lunch too.

Got 2 dragon rolls, and they were riddled with small bones. Liked the other rolls, but I wish these were prepared better

Very nice place, easy to find, very clean and presents well. Inside and outside seating. Wasabi tray came with a small cucumber salad that was wonderful, slightly sweeter than vinegar. Hot tea was piping hot and rice was perfect. Sushi was fresh and well put together.

Do you have gluten free soy sauce & gluten free roll options?

    Absolutely@ we do have both

Does the protein roll have imitation crab?

It does have imitation crab along with spicy tuna on the inside. You can pay an up charge for real crab if you don't like imitation crab.

    Do they do sushi platters?

Yes! There are smaller portions that serve 1-2 people or even party trays that can serve more people.

Seems like the new owner is serving smaller portions, I've noticed it's not crowded like it used to be. Thoughts? We eat there a lot, but the last month or so, I think they are going lower quality and quantity ?

This time, I specifically tried some dishes I hadn't tried before. The omelet rice had a very soft egg crepe, and the rice inside was incredibly fragrant; it was a perfect match with ketchup. The grilled fish and fried shrimp heads were also delicious, fried to a crisp, and made a great side dish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and give it a five-star rating! The sushi itself was mediocre. The fish was ok, kids said they liked their rolls but you can't go wrong with rolls, right? The amount of ginger and wasabi they provided was ridiculous. Price for the quality is ridiculous. It was a Saturday night at 6pm and the place was empty. This place used to be so busy! That should've been a red flag when we walked in. A few rolls, 6 pieces of sushi, and 2 handrolls...we paid $150 including tip, no alcohol. We'll def be finding a new sushi spot in Temecula.

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

Even without teriyaki sauce the salmon was seasoned and cooked well. The garlic chicken was another story. The chicken texture was off putting as well as the flavor. When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.
