Chirashi sushi
Kim M.

This is a standard Japanese sushi restaurant in a row of other little food venues. Customer service was standard. The two individuals who appeared to be the owners gave off a frenetic vibe and not interactive with customers. The taste of the fish was good, but the cuts were too thick. When I mentioned that my tuna was too dry and bland, the server returned with a plate of four slices of two cuts of tuna. It was better, and I really appreciated the effort. The eel was almost burned. The plating of my chirashi sushi was unusual. I didn't notice the rice, hidden in the bottom half of the plate under the greens. The miso soup was sub-par, having almost no flavor. The Alaska roll was very good; the California roll had too much crab mix and not enough avocado.

Me and my husband were a bit hesitant about trying this place because we were not sure how authentic it was but, this place really surprised us and in a GOOD way! First: We were greeted by a very cute waitress Lydia. She made us feel very welcomed and even helped me decide on a sushi roll. HUBBY ordered the Steak bento and I kept STEALING some of his TEMPURA because it was so good! I told Lydia that I liked seared salmon and she recommended the LION KING roll which was also one of my favorite movies! Interlude: It's the CIRCLE of LIFE and it moves us all! And now back to our regularly scheduled YELP REVIEW. So after eating the steak bento and lion king roll we thought we'd like to try something else too so we ordered the Tempura UDON! I really liked it. I usually eat foods on the salty side so I just added some soy sauce and that really hit the spot for me! Plus the chili flakes :) Thanks so much to Lydia's great service and Sushi Camp's delicious foods. We will be back to try more items :) Cheers!!

Sweet potato shrimp tempura (5 pieces, we ate 3 :D)

I was surprised to discover that this restaurant serves great sushi! Don't be fooled by the modest name, lol. We ordered The X-Men, Crunch Roll, the roll with the baked salmon (forgot the name), raw salmon roll, and side of sweet potato shrimp tempura. Everything was delicious! We are temporarily living right across the street, so we'll be coming back again soon! Free parking on the lot. Easy access.

We've been to most of the restaurants in this center. Somehow we overlooked Sushi Camp. They've been here at least 15 years. Busy place on Friday night. We walked im at the right time and got a table for four right away. We started off with yellow fin which was the best ever. Went on to a dragon roll which was good also. Our friends had a lobster roll and a dynamite roll. We ended with a mixed tempura. Good service and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back to try out some more.

Priciest yet AVERAGE sushi in town! Ordered: 1x I love Lobster Roll 1x Caterpillar Roll 1x Philadelphia Roll 1x Seaweed salad 2x fried rice (single serving) Total: $90.20 (Not including tip) Got it inflation. Serving sizes need to be a little bigger for that kind of money. Taste was standard for the rolls I ordered. Nothing amazing.

Don't bother coming to this place. They have their regulars and they will service them while ignoring you.

What makes a Five Star rating? Well, here it is... Chef K. We blew into Temecula from Northern…read moreCalifornia and found ourselves craving and searching for Chinese food. My Daughter suggested Chef K due to their 4+ star rating, even though she had never eaten there before. Hidden in an outdoor mall it just looks like a glass front suite, but enter the doors and the interior is beautiful and clean with comfy upholstered booths and chairs. The young server greeted us with a strong Asian accent and took us to our seats immediately. We were the only customers in the room which made me a little nervous, but is was 2pm on a Thursday after all. We were presented with a hardbound colorful book of their offerings... pretty cool. We ordered and were quickly presented with: Spicy Pepper Beef: A medium spice level with a savory dark soy sauce, bathing ultra tender beef slices, married with thin sliced jalapeño and diced red and green bell peppers. Unbelievably delicious. Walnut Honey Shrimp: Mega large butterflied prawns quickly fried with walnuts and sweet glaze, crispy and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tangerine Chicken: Large delicate and tender chicken breast pieces deep fried in a fluffy batter and glazed with a perfectly sweet and tart tangerine sauce. Our meal came with individual bowls of perfectly cooked jasmine rice. Enough food to feed 3 hungry adults and still have leftovers. $63 Why 5 stars? Without a doubt, the best, cleanest tasting Chinese dishes I have ever experienced. More to come from this place I'm sure. If you are anywhere near Temecula, get off the freeway and reward yourself.

Not greasy, not overly salty--just really well done. Service was friendly and fast, and the whole place felt clean and chill. Nothing fancy, just a really good, reliable spot. Definitely coming back next time :)

Really friendly staff, and delicious food!…read more We always order rolls and different quality of sashimi and the Toro, yellowtail belly and salmon are so so good!

To be clear, this is NOT a review on the food. The portion of fish is amazing, the quality so…read moreyummy. I have a problem with the service. This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

You cant find sushi as fresh and as tender as they serve here everyday. Every cut, every roll, every slice is portioned generously and is succulently delectable. Sake Sushi is a special local gem holding its own among all of the overly hyped franchise chains that populate the area. Tony and his team of chefs here have things down to an art, and a special thanks from me goes out to Kevin! The waitresses here are always kind and helpful and Ava made my last visit here a true delight. I cant get enough of this place and the prices are truly modest for what is served. A+++

I got the teriyaki sauce on the side. The lunch came with a salad, miso soup, a side of rice and 2 gyoza. I was impressed with the sushi as well as the salmon. Even without teriyaki sauce the salmon was seasoned and cooked well. The garlic chicken was another story. The chicken texture was off putting as well as the flavor. It had no hint of garlic and was odd slices of chicken with undercooked sliced onions. The miso soup was flavorful but had nothing else in it except two tiny squares of tofu. The salad was just a small, average Japanese salad. The dressing was a little bland. It's a very small little place but it's clean inside. I would recommend it if you are just going to have sushi. If you plan on a bento box type meal I would skip it.
