Sadly we moved away from the area for a few years, but now we are back. We tried searching for another sushi place to live up to Sushi Camp, but couldn't find anything, and were always lamenting the decision. We recently moved back to the area and made it a priority to return to Sushi Camp. We were greeted by their friendly staff as if we had never left, they even remembered our favorite menu items! This is a very cute sushi restaurant. It's small but the menu is huge! The menu offers lots of traditional rolls but also some very unique ones! And I love the fun names they have for their rolls. I ordered the caterpillar roll, the Diana (a baked roll with scallops) and a Philadelphia roll for my husband and I to share. I've never had baked rolls but the description just sounded so amazing I had to try it!!! The waitress, who was super friendly, told me is very filling and she was right!!! The one roll was enough to fill me up!! The flavor was a combination of creamy mayo, seared scallops, rice and crab. It was delicious!! For people who don't like sushi, they have a lot of other options. My husband who is not a big sushi fan also ordered the chicken bowl and he loved it!! read more

My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a strip mall, Sushi camp has about what you would expect in a general Japanese restaurant. There's a long sushi bar area, assorted tables, and a few decorations here and there. Neither traditional nor trendy, it's about what you would expect in suburbia. It's also very clean, but lacks real character. 1/2 Star. Service - Sushi Camp is great in this area. We had multiple servers in our party of 8, and we had no issues. They were nice, very helpful, and the since my sister is a big fan of Sushi Camp, she could literally yell out orders to him. Hard to beat that kind of personal service. 1 Star. Food - The sushi here is par for the course. Sashimi is fresh and the rolls are good. I was a little disappointed in the lobster roll's presentation as it was well spoken of in other reviews. Udon was a bit "busy". There were several items in the broth (those sliced fishcakes) that seemed a bit unnecessary. Hamachi Kama had good portions of meat. It was a bit dry to be sure you use the sauce. Overall a good meal but not a great one. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only if my sister wants too. My sister loves Sushi Camp and goes here exclusively. Great experience at sushi camp! The second we walked in we were greeted by a friendly server and one of the sushi chefs. We are at the bar and ordered the Tuna Tataki and crunch roll. The chef was fantastic! He listened to our orders and allowed us to customize how we like them. He was warm and very kind. We ordered beers and the server told is about a special they were having on beers. 2 smalls for $5 or 2 larges for $10. A we did the two large Saporros. We were in there before closing time and they didn't rush us at all and told us to take our time and enjoy ourselves. Alex, our sushi chef was great! He even made us a special sushi salad that was amazing! We will drfinately be back to Sushi Camp. read more

We were passing thru town and stopped here for a bite to eat by chance. It's a small place kind of cramped and VERY NOISY. No one greets you upon entering so we walked up only to be told to seat ourselves. We opted for outdoor seating. The food was very good and extremely fresh hence the 4 stars. Unfortunately once they served us we were forgotten. We asked for plates for the appetizers and the plates came well after the food was gone. Other patrons left because of the wait. The waitress that brought our food was not friendly and appeared extremely bothered. If you dont mind poor service this place does have great food. Recommendation to management. I've been here about 5x, customer service is very good, sushi chefs are good, and the food is good. I usually order the lemon drop roll which has a slice of lemon on top. It's a specialty roll and comes in a boat, and also includes some salmon and tuna slices on the side. Can't go wrong with the crunch roll. Only word I can use to describe this place is TRASH! We decided to try this place out tonight and were very disappointed. I wish they would put on their menu that their $10 TNT roll was only 4 pieces. If I've learned anything from my years of being a heffer and eating at every sushi place in sight, you normally right (4pc) next to a roll that's 4 pieces!!! I also had a California roll and each piece of that roll had brown avocado in it. We ordered a chicken salad and asked the lady over the phone if it would be a large enough entree for an adult. HA! What a joke! A toddler would be the only one satisfied with it and I personally think that they wouldn't eat it either because it was wilted as can be. This was a very pleasant place to go. The atmosphere was intimate and clean. The sushi was good and the waitress (owner?) was willing to add cream cheese to one of the rolls we had in question. Some rolls they overdid it with a sweet mayo sauce. It looks like icing on a Cinnabon roll. It was a bit too sweet, for my liking. Next time I go, I'll ask to hold the icing sauce lol. Our first visit to Sushi Camp a few months ago was adequate. The service was OK and the quality of the bento box (steak) was very average. After a long 16 mile hike, we decided to give Sushi Camp another try but again then totally disappoint. I have to say that our male server on 6/11/2022 around 8pm, was very good at taking the order but not on following up. This is because another table was seated 15+ minutes after us and got all of their food before we did. I had to ask about it and 5 minutes later is was brought to the table. It looked tragic and tasted just as bad. Like they couldn't afford quality ingredients so they went with the cheapest they could find. Came here with my husband on a weekend. Everyone was really friendly and got seated promptly. It's a cute little place! We ordered 4 rolls. The presentation was amazing and the food was delicious!! We usually go to One Sushi in Murrieta or Shogun in Temecula, but this one was by far the tastiest! We would definitely come again. The only thing was the price for each roll was at least $18. On my most recent visit I had the Heart Attack & the Pechanga Roll. The Heart Attack is a deep fried roll with spicy tuna, cream cheese & jalapenos. Sometimes it can be quite spicy, if you are not accustomed to jalapenos this is not the roll for you! The Pechanga Roll is lightly deep fried, with all sorts of different fish & a dollop of cream cheese. This roll also has a spicy element to it. The Pechanga Roll is large, perfect for sharing.
