My 1st time at Yoshiharu Ramen. I moved to Menifee in April 2025 from Orange County and I have tried NUMEROUS sushi places trying to find one that I like as much as my favorite local sushi place in Garden Grove. So far, I haven't found it. Typically I order Bento Box Combinations, and sometimes specialty rolls. Sushi is a matter of personal taste, and I gave Yoshiharu Ramen a three overall for "OKAY". Don't get me wrong, I ate everything they served me, and it was all right. It just didn't WOW me. The restaurant is clean and looks nice. The service was good and my food was okay. There were a few minor things that annoyed me, but isn't it the little things that differentiate places that are great versus ones that are just good or okay? I ordered a diet coke, and they had no diet available. The miso soup (not pictured) that came with the meal was piping hot, but the flavor was not as good as others I have had. When they brought my chicken bento box, which included California Roll, there was no wasabi or ginger. I had to ask the waitress for wasabi, and then she said, "You want wasabi?" as if that was something unusual. Finally, my favorite sushi places have a list of items to choose from for their bento box. They may list 8 or 10 items and ask you to pick 2 or 3. At my other places I might choose, chicken and beef and a spicy tuna roll (vs California roll). Then you get those plus the soup, salad, etc. At Yoshiharu Ramen, it is a set list of items. You only get to pick a meat in the bento box (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, etc.) Their other sushi or ramen may be terrific. So if you are nearby and want sushi or ramen, don't let me dissuade you. The reason I take the time to write a detailed review is so readers can understand MY criteria and why for me, this restaurant is okay, just not a 4 or 5 on my chart. read more

Really wanted to love this place. I didn't find my tonkotsu ramen very flavorful. With tonkotsu being pork-based broth, it should be bursting with flavor. But it was bland and watered down compared to other tonkotsu ramens. I regret not taking a pic of the ramen, but l sadly wouldn't come back due to the lack of flavors. The edamame was fine, and their chicken karrage was good. Husband said the sushi roll was fresh. I liked the ambiance, it's casual but still cozy to stay for awhile and enjoy good company. Service: The waitress was very friendly and outgoing. She was accommodating to our needs. They should give her a raise. Food: 1.) Karaage Chicken (4/5) - served with sweet chili sauce, the texture and look resembles small pieces of fish and chips. It could have used more seasoning. 2.) Takoyaki (5/5) - the taste and shape were spot-on and I would have no issues eating the wheat flour batter again. 3.) Lobster Ramen (3/5) - the noodles were made well, but the other ingredients were not up to par. The lobster tasted bland and the squid was not easy to chew. Located on Newport Rd. and Calle Tomas in the Olive Garden shopping center, next to Urbane Cafe with plenty of parking. Tonight, I had their 'Seaweed Salad' to start and their 'Rib Eye Beef Bowl'. The Seaweed Salad was delicious! The Rib Eye was so tender and tasted perfectly. We also ordered their 'Chicken Bento' which is a platter with Chicken, Rice, California rolls, Shrimp Tempura, Wonton, a Veggie roll, and we added 'Curry'. Such a great meal choice! Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the service is excellent. Every staff member we encountered was very welcoming. Shout out to 'Roberta' and 'Suki'. They were both friendly and helpful with the menu. They made sure we had a positive experience. The restaurant is clean with a really good atmosphere. Amazing flavors and even better service! The ramen was rich, savory, and perfectly balanced--the kind of broth you keep sipping long after the noodles are gone. Everything came out fast and piping hot, which was awesome. What really made this visit special was the chef (maybe also the owner?). He was smiling, polite, super efficient, and just had this really cool energy. I made a last-minute request to add garlic after my order was placed, and instead of making it an issue, he handled it with total grace and a warm attitude that made me feel right at home. Went here during the week right when they open. I like that it was empty. We're kind of like the first sets of people in the door. The food didn't take long to get to our table. The sign on the door said they were out of eggs. So I would think they would add a little something more to the soup if they were out of something. So it doesn't look so empty. Like throw a little extra noodles in there since it is $20 a bowl. It's our first time coming here, it's not bad but I wouldn't be coming here that often. My husband asks me if I had to choose between this or pho, I mean I would choose pho. The food was 3.5/5. I can eat here again, we got 2 bowls of noodles 2 plate of sushi everything came out to be $75 ish. Maybe I haven't been out in awhile but $75 for a lunch outing is pretty pricy. The place is nice and clean, I'm glad the seats aren't that close to each other. You can hear everyone's conversations still but it's not too bad. I came awhile ago I think when they first started and gave a so so review. I havnt been back til today! I started my review last time ordering out so I decided I need to do the same thing today before eating in. The place was really clean and nice when I walked in. The service was immediate! Also the waitress was informative and explained items on the menu to make sure I knew what I was getting. Don't hate Mr but I forgot pictures of this experience! Ill add some when I go back because i was impressed this time. I ordered 5 meals to go all came hot and neatly packaged with tons of condiments and silverware! I ordered teriyaki chicken Bentonville! Hubby & I stopped by this establishment for the first time. We weren't aware of the Yoshiharu chain. Apparently, this is the best of them at this location. The service was expeditious, server polite and helpful. The food was awesome. Hubby said it was the best ramen he's had in the US and he's tried ramen all over the place. He ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. I had a sashimi salad bowl. We shared a mango sushi roll. It was delicious! The place has a bar and dining room, all of which was clean. Meat from bento box was supposed to be on bed of cabbage which it wasn't. It was in a measly bed of spring mix lettuce which was wilted by the time we got home. In fact, our appetizers were on a bed of spring mix too which was wilted as well. It was not appetizing. They Gave us the wrong soup. We just dealt with the mishaps because we did an order pick up and noticed when we got home. We're not going back. However, when we picked up our order, they told us at the register they were out of the 3 spam masubi, so we switched it for a roll. They accommodated us with that, plus a free California roll for the inconvenience. In general, customer service is good. Ordering on the phone was easy, we called around 4pm. As far as flavor, the spicy beef is good. The egg rolls are stuffed full of nothing; flavor seems generic and bland, not crispy. Potato fried shrimp was also a bust, almost no shrimp; bland and oily and not crispy. California rolls are packed with a lot of crabmeat, those were okay but falling apart and bland. The ramen, I'm sorry, it's just not good. Broth tasted bland, like water and a funky smell; same with noodles. Kids didn't eat the ramen soup and they have good flavor pallets. We of course noticed it too, obviously. For $94, overall, we won't be back because the flavors weren't there, not the best ingredients maybe? Don't know. If I do go back, it would be for the spicy beef bowl, (and spicy pork bowl or pork fried rice, from another day we ordered which is why we went back. We've been there 2x) Thanks you. read more

My family and I stopped by for lunch around noon as a party of 6, and we were surprisingly seated very quickly. We were told to go ahead and put tables together as needed and moved two together so we could all be seated. The restaurant was very clean and inviting, which was nice. It was also very nice that our server went out of our way to give us the chopsticks trainers and a fork for our toddler in the group without us asking. We ordered edamame and calamari as a starter while waiting, but our food came out fast enough that we may not have even needed it. My husband got the spicy miso level 2, and he really enjoyed the heat level. He loves spice and usually handles hotter levels, and he said that spice had some good flavor while still having a strong enough spice. He said he's looking forward to trying level 3 next time. I had the miso tonkotsu, and I really enjoyed the deep flavor of the broth. I'm also a big fan of ramen that has some springiness and chew to it, making their ramen perfect. There is also a nice umami flavor to the broth, and the pork chashu is incredibly fatty and melt-in-your-mouth. So yummy! I did not personally taste the bento, but my dad mentioned that he really enjoyed the crunchiness of the katsu. We also had a poke bowl, which tasted nice and fresh, but the only complaint was that there was a lot of rice in ratio with the fish. The chicken in my chicken ramen was dry and tough to chew, however the al dente noodles and flavorful broth made up for it. I was expecting more given the price. I would give the place 4 stars if just for the food. The server brought me the check when I was still eating, and made me feel rushed. She asked first if I wanted a box, to which I said no and I was still working on it, and then she asked me if I'm finished eating, so I reiterated that I am still working on it. We had the black tonkatsu ramen, the rib eye bento and the spicy garlic edamame. The ramen(4 stars) was pretty good but It didn't wow me. The rib eye bento(3 stars)was quite disappointing. I believe it was one of the higher priced bentos and there was barely any ribeye and what was there was very fatty and was hidden in a veggie mix that wasn't making it any better. The best part of the bento was the California roll and the tempura shrimp. I don't think d order this again. The spicy garlic edamame (3 stars)tasted like they just put some chili paste on top and it was disappointing as well. They've only been open about a month and seemed like they were training new staff so I'm sure that will get better. I'd go back but probably just to try some of the other ramen options. read more

So there is 6 of us 3 Ramen bowls and chicken katsu with rice. The chicken was fried to death. The crunch roll was deep fried in old nasty oil could not even eat it. An interesting place full of disappointment. This restaurant is new in our area and our neighbors too us all about it. We sat down inside and checked out the menu, rather extensive with some sushi, some ramen, and some kids selections. The inside is a bit dark but they have two great TVs running food videos which makes you hungry! My wife ordered the beef bento box and I ordered the chicken katsu curry. The wait for the food took quite a while and the server disappeared so much so we couldn't find her to get water refills. When the food finally came we had to wait for the current and they put the salad on the chicken katsu plate not separately, which was a bit odd. About ten minutes later they finally brought the curry sauce, which was odd since I've eaten chicken katsu curry for years and it always is a part of the dish together. The curry they brought out was not hot, and it was watery like soup; I've never seen curry like that before. It was not flavorful and was a joke of curry, the chicken katsu was also tough on the outside skin, I think it was over cooked. The bento box was fine but not dipping sauce for the egg roll was odd. It then took ages for someone to be flagged down to bring our bill. I wouldn't recommend coming here overall. They seem short staffed, the food especially the chicken katsu curry was awful (never eat watery curry!), and the service overall was subpar. Soon after, the place filled up and a line started.
