Sapporo Sushi - Menifee We had such a nice family dinner at Sapporo Sushi! We ordered the kids' chicken teriyaki meals and the all-you-can-eat sushi, and everyone enjoyed their food. We were seated right away, which was a huge plus with kids. While we waited, the kids were given crayons and paper to draw, which was such a thoughtful touch and kept them happily entertained. The restaurant is one large open room and was very clean. It has a casual, family-friendly atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy our meal together. Parking was also very convenient with plenty of spaces available. Overall, we had a great experience -- friendly, quick seating, good food options for both kids and adults, and a fun place to enjoy sushi as a family. We'll definitely be back! They offer all-you-can-eat specials and other menu options. Check their current hours and specials before visiting since they may change. read more

Exceeded my expectations! I don't think I've ever seen a sushi place that offers as big a menu as this place. There are so many different flavors and options to choose from, so you're definitely bound to find something that you like. I'm not an expert when it comes to sushi, and I don't eat it as often as I'd like, yet I think that they provide decent quality rolls and ingredients. I highly recommend trying out their tempura or baked rolls if you're not sure what to get. The prices are pretty standard to other sushi places, but I think they dress the rolls with more toppings here. * Golden Roll: 10/10 - so tasty and generously sauced * Fire House Roll: 10/10 - perfect level of spice * Calamari Roll: 9/10 - comes with deep-fried calamari and crispy flakes We came during brunch time and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our rolls to come. The interior is actually quite spacious with plenty of tables and seating options to choose from. It's located in a pretty large plaza with other shops and restaurants, but finding parking should be relatively easy as it rarely gets crowded. Can't wait to come back! read more

This was a decent experience overall. The ambiance was pretty casual and comfortable, nothing too over the top, but nice enough for a sushi dinner. We did the AYCE while the food itself was great, the selection felt a little limited compared to other AYCE sushi places nearby. There was no sashimi included on the AYCE menu, and the appetizer choices were also on the smaller side. The menu was also a bit confusing, so I think it could be clearer about what is included and how everything works. Service was great, though, and that helped a lot. The staff was attentive, and the food we received was good quality. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience at all. I just think the AYCE menu could use a little more variety and clarity. read more

The owners daughter is extremely rude and looks miserable. She should not be serving if she's going to ruin everyone's experience. Will not be back. Sushi is just okay. read more

I have been craving sushi for a while so my family and I gave this spot a try while shopping in the area. As soon as we walked in, I noticed it was very compact. There wasn't a lot of space. Most of the tables were about one to two and a half feet away from each other. I thought to myself, "we should eat somewhere else", but I was really hungry and didn't want to look for another place to eat. We ordered two chicken teriyaki bowls for the kids which they loved, two Out of Control rolls, one Popcorn Lobster roll, garlic edamame, and calamari tempura. Overall, my family thought the food was good. I personally thought it was okay, and for the amount we paid (~$120) believed we would have been better off going somewhere more "worth it". Our waitress was kind, but not very attentive. A lot of other diners seemed to be enjoying their food, so maybe it was just me having an off day. Perhaps I was thrown off by the tightness of the space. Overall, due to the space and service, I personally wouldn't return. The environment is an important factor to me aside from the food and service, and unfortunately neither really delivered. read more

Hands down my favorite sushi spot! The fish always tastes so fresh and the service is always so quick. This location is big. Bigger than the Murrieta location. My favorite rolls that I get every time is the Hawaiian Roll and the Burning roll. A must try! read more

I always order my raspberry ice tea before I order my food...I got the california roll just for a snack before my garlic Edamame. Lol.. I had the imperial roll which was good.. The service was very nice when i ordered my food and they was polite about the refills and ask if I was ordering anything else. The table was clean and they also had all the sports playing specially the baseball game. But overall I had a good experience at my table when people started to chat with about the food and area read more

Sapporo Sushi has become our go-to local spot for sushi and Japanese food. It's one of those places we keep coming back to because the food and service are consistently solid every time. My husband ordered the all-you-can-eat sushi, and I went with the mixed tempura combo. I love that you can choose two or three items -- I went with the three-item option and added chicken teriyaki and a four-piece California roll. Everything was delicious, as usual. The tempura was perfectly crispy, the portions were generous, and the price was reasonable, which makes it an easy choice. Another standout is that their sushi doesn't overload on rice. There's a great balance with a good amount of filling and just enough rice, so each bite feels lighter and more flavorful. The sushi tasted fresh and came out quickly. We also really appreciate that not everyone at the table is required to order all-you-can-eat. Being able to mix and match between AYCE and regular menu items is a huge plus, especially when dining with different appetites. Service is always on point -- friendly, attentive, and efficient. No complaints here. We'll definitely continue coming back. read more

Way too expensive for AYCE!! Food is okay not great, and needs better customer service.

Outstanding service and Sushi at Sapporo! We stop here every time we're in town. The lunch specials are amazing and very fresh. I had the 3 half roll lunch and my husband had the sushi/sashimi lunch. Both were so good and more important fresh! The service here is the BEST! Sam and Jodi are super friendly and attentive. They always greet you with a smile! Thank you for your outstanding service! This is a somewhat Americanised place to get rolls mainly. This could be a really good thing for someone or not so great for others. Just know what you are getting yourself into. An all you can eat price is $42 and you will mainly eat rolls. You can definitely find a roll to your liking since there are maybe 50 rolls ( if not more) to choose from. I ordered a round of sushi but would not get it again most likely. If you are looking for a rather authentic Japanese food you might be disappointed, but if huge rolls is your thing then you'll find it to be a paradise. PS: yes, rolls are huge. read more

We came here for Valentine's Day expecting a nice dinner, and it was honestly such a disappointment. We were told the wait time would be 10 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour. If you know it's going to be that long, just be honest with your customers!! To make matters worse, once we were finally seated and already had our food at the table, the waiter made us get up and change tables. That was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional, especially in the middle of eating. The food was even worse!!The sushi was not fresh at all. The nigiri had way too much rice compared to the fish, and the fish itself had a very nasty, overly fishy taste which is a huge red flag for sushi. Fresh sushi should never taste like that. For a special occasion like Valentine's Day, this experience was extremely disappointing. We definitely won't be coming back. read more

First time here and definitely my last. I came in for the all-you-can-eat and asked for baked mussels -- a pretty standard item at sushi spots. I was told they're no longer included because they only serve them as a 5-piece now. That's a weak excuse and feels like a way to cut corners. The server was completely dismissive -- no explanation, no apology, no alternative offered. Just a cold "we don't do that anymore." The customer service is terrible. On top of that, the menu has zero pictures of the food, so you're left guessing what you're actually ordering. That, paired with the attitude and lack of basic items, made for an all-around bad experience. Not worth it. Won't be back. read more

Walked in 3 minutes after 8pm and they denied us all you can eat. Very disappointed with their customer service

This isn't our first time here. I was never a huge sushi fan, but my daughter is, and she got me into it. Over time this became our go-to spot, and in the past we've always had good service. Today was a completely different story. We ordered two all-you-can-eats and multiple times parts of our order were forgotten. My daughter ordered nigiri, and the rice portion under her fish was almost nonexistent, while the table next to us received properly balanced nigiri. We saw multiple tables around us also complaining, and even witnessed a family pay and walk out out of frustration. Only after we had the look of frustration and I kept checking my phone because I was ready to leave did one waitress finally come by to try and help. By then, the damage was done. The service felt careless and the attitude we received made the experience even worse. In the end, our visit was simply not worth the $93.58 we paid. Very unfortunate for what used to be our go-to spot, but after today we won't be coming back. read more

Always a good experience. I love the Cajun nigiri so good my favorite. I love how the fish just melts in your mouth.

1 muscle is ridiculous and the rice is popping out from under the sushi ! the sushi rice had zero flavor nothing was fried to a crisp and if it was it took way to long to get to our table I paid around 104 bucks for two why anyone would pay 40+ bucks for this place has never tasted good sushi this place is not the business read more

Hubby and I went here after learning that they have AYCE. Price is not too bad $38.99/person with so many selection. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. The sushi rolls are hit and miss. I definitely don't find appealing those with crushed fish inside. The best sushi rolls for us are the Three Amigos, Cajun Albacore, Fuji, and Baked Lobster roll. Not a bad spot for sushi. read more

Who puts corn in fried rice!!??? I was totally on the fence about this place and I see why. I originally wanted Osaka House but didnt want to drive to Hemet. Definitely should have because this was a waste of $40 bucks. I ordered a crab mania roll and shrimp fried rice. Every roll that has imitation crab mentions it on the menu but this roll in particular did not say that it was made with imitation, thats why I ordered it but to my surprise, fake crab meat. How is it crab mania with no real crab!!??? The fried rice was some of the worst Ive ever had. Why is there corn in it? It tastes like they just scooped rice out of a pot and stirred in veggies and shrimp. Horrible. Will never order again. Wish I would have ordered through doordash. At least I could get my money back. read more

I gave this place three chances before writing this, because I'm an optimist... or maybe just a glutton for punishment. AYCE sushi feels like it's slowly dying out, and Sapporo is a grim sign of the apocalypse. For $43 a person, you get rolls stuffed to the brim with rice, fake crab, and maybe a tiny cameo from what was once Nemo. Each roll tastes like it went to the same flavor boot camp: bland, uniform, and sad. Sauces? Forget it. Everything on the menu looked like it was cloned in some sad sushi lab--identical, lifeless, soul-sucking. And the waiter... oh, the waiter. I swear he prioritized his own bathroom schedule over our drinks and food orders. Water? Nope. Drinks? Nope. Smiles? Nonexistent. Attitude? Toxic. Energy? Murdered our vibe before we even got a bite. If you want sushi that tastes like cardboard, rolls that all taste the same, and service from someone auditioning for Grumpiest Human Alive, congratulations--Sapporo's got you. Otherwise, maybe just feed Nemo back to the ocean where he belongs. read more

Finally, I had a chance to try this spot! We tried the Bento Box with beef teriyaki & the pork katsu don bowl. The bento box comes with miso soup, rice, 5 veggie tempuras, 1 shrimp tempura, salad, 2 fried gyozas, and your choice of cali roll or spicy tuna roll. Both orders were delicious, made to order, and both came out to us pretty quickly. The portions are good and fair for the price. The place is kept clean, and it is spacious inside. I have to give a shout out to the wait staff here. They are all so friendly and efficient. Especially Mai! (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) She anticipates everything that we needed. We brought our toddler and baby here, and she was a big help! She gave our toddler his own styrofoam water cup, provided ice along with miso soup, a small bowl and spoon, and kept checking in on us to make sure our party had everything we needed. It's the little things that stood out for me. I appreciate the efforts she made, and it made us feel like we were taken care of. The service alone deserves the extra star even before we tasted the food. read more

I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt after a bad experience last time, blaming it on high customer volume. Unfortunately, I should have learned my lesson. Sapporo is easily the best sushi in Menifee. I've eaten a lot of sushi and this is one of the best places I've ever been. Sushi is always fresh, service is top notch and the vibe is right. NOT FRESH. Just came to this location yesterday., and it was so disappointing. My friend ended up getting food poisoning. Has been in pain with stomach ache and upset stomach since trying some of their fish. That was the only thing they ate yesterday. Everything tasted off and weird. The whole atmosphere was weird. It's like sitting in a lunch cafeteria. Everything is echoed. I could hear children's sneezing and coughing throughout the entire restaurant. If you care about your body whatsoever. Please do not come here. read more

One of the best AYCE sushi deals I've ever had, Not only are the rules spelled out clearly (3 rounds, order as much as you want each round, any food including leftover rice incurs an additional charge), but the portions are also super generous. But the best attraction is the nigiri itself. Amazing. A++. I would definitely go back again for this same deal. This place rocks. read more

The food is excellent!!! This restaurant is giving other ones cause for concern. The service is good, the menu is varied enough to suit various palates, and has fast service. Food is great. Service is excellent. Best AYCE around. My family's go to spot for sushi.

Food was great, huge sushi rolls, service was decent as they were very busy. Sushi is worth the price

I used to live about 5 minutes away from here and finally went to it when i went to eat out with some college friends who lived closed to the area. I was pleasantly surprised because the reviews are pretty bad for the place for a sushi spot in my opinion. The baked mussels were good and tasted like the average ones do; nothing too crazy. The baked lobster roll was definitely very disappointing and fell apart when we were trying to eat it. Tasted okay. The Steelers roll was very good and fresh tasting from the lemon and the Cajun tuna roll was definitely my favorite. It had a little kick to it and it tastes fresh for Menifee area lol Honestly i was surprised with how good the 2 fresh rolls were that I'd honestly come again to try other fresh rolls :) read more
