Can't say much about the food since we didn't end up ordering. We stopped in because the photos looked appetizing, but after looking over the menu, the options felt very limited. They do offer teriyaki bowls if you're not looking for sushi, but I was hoping for some sashimi choices. Overall, it seems more like a fast-casual sushi spot, with spanish music on speakers, and a couple of tvs. One thing that stood out was the lack of greeting when we entered. We sat for about five minute, looking over the menu, without acknowledgment. Btw: you do order at the counter, but with only one other group there, it made the lack of interaction more noticeable. And gave the impression they didn't care. In the end, we decided to leave without ordering. We did notice that the scent coming from the kitchen didn't smell particularly fresh or appetizing, which also influenced our decision to go to another spot. read more

We saw the high rating and thought "Why not give it a try?!" Well that was a mistake! Very subpar sushi and teriyaki. No where near the high rating we thought we'd experience as indicated by the Yelp score. How or why it is so high is baffling! Sure the portions are ample but when the food is subpar at best, then it's just more helpings of the same poor food! They try to present a good meal but it's immediately disappointing when you taste it. The rolls have orange colored imitation crab when feels like you're eating plastic. The salmon and shrimp serving size are small compared to the rice and crab portions. Even the soy sauce was off putting. The teriyaki combo was bland, no flavor in the chicken or the beef... which wouldn't be so bad if the sauce was good - it's not, very generic. The shrimp tempura is the store-bought frozen kind that was reheated or fried. We asked for garlic edamame which was just regular edamame with garlic powder dumped on it. Normally at well reviewed sushi restaurants you get a fresh garlic base/sauce that is cooked with the edamame... not here! Just pour powder all over it! We did get free gyoza because we spent over $60 - these were not too bad. Service was weird. Tried to get Pepsi from the machine but saw that the mix was low. The cashier said "Oh it is?", then confirmed but didn't offer any explanation or alternative. Just went back to stocking sauces. I asked if it would be replenished and she said they don't have any more syrup... I had to ask for a replacement of some sort - the machine had other options that were out of service too... so I asked for a bottle of water instead which she did provide. It was a weird exchange but I did get a drink. Suffice it to say we'll never eat there again. Well below average sushi and teriyaki. Don't waste your time and money here despite what the rating is! Really enjoy this restaurant. Sushi is always tasty and fresh. Ambience is casual. The portions are great. I like to order ahead of time via phone and then they tell me what time to come by usually 15-25 minutes depending on how large the order is. (Accurate). The miso soup is a hit or miss though, sometimes it's waaay too salty but sometimes it's just right lol so I order it every time! They have cool perks like if you order past a certain $$ amount, you get a free soda or free gyoza. Would highly recommend! read more

First off I have no idea how this place gets 4 star rating at all especially other food it's so not authentic and it's gross .. .only great thing is their customer service the Thicker Gal those was the cashier/ host was amazing as the girl seeking next to her was eating her food on the front counter .. Visited this location in perris and ordered the chicken teriyaki plate. The place itself looked clean and well maintained which was nice. The food gave a mixed bag as it came out fairly quick and looked good upon receiving it. The chicken gave an oddly fake taste like it was overly processed or not the freshest which gave a rubbery texture with a weird artificial flavor. The rice was far too soggy and mushy which added to the odd taste i was getting so i wasn't able to finish my meal. Definitely not something would wanna reheat. The service at the register was average and prices was reasonable so no a terrible experience. I personally wouldn't get what i got again but i would like to try some other things in their menu. read more

Been told the last 4 times that they just ran out of the Vegetable Tempura. Since ordering the Bento Box, they did not have Vegetable Tempura, they asked if we want to replace it with Sushi, we said yes. When I went to pick it up, they had replaced the Sushi with Gyoza. Why bother asking, if you are going to give us whatever you want! Also, the Shrimp Tempura isn't fresh, looks like a reheated frozen shrimp. I'm not going to lie, I've been to this place many times and I've been satisfied. Pretty good but it never gave me the urge to write a raving review or even for me to take photos. Although that's mostly because I have only ordered To-go. But my o my has that changed. I tried the Avocado salad a few weeks ago and my life changed. I kept thinking about that salad basically every day. Finally I was able to get it again and take a photo of this glorious salad. I don't know if I've just been deprived of good salads my whole life or if this is just extra delicious, either way I will return for this. Like I said the sushi is good, nothing to really complain about but if they ever change the salad in anyway I probably won't return Service wise they are pretty good, they are pretty diligent in making sure they get the order correct.
