The staff was attentive, and most of the food we tried was fresh and enjoyable. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the biggest disappointment was the lack of crab legs. Let's be real--at a seafood buffet, crab legs are one of the main things many customers look forward to! Unfortunately, they just weren't being replenished often enough, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. For most of my visit, I wasn't able to get any crab legs at all. Eventually, I stood near the station for almost 10 minutes waiting for a fresh batch to come out. As soon as they were brought out, everyone was waiting for them, which made it pretty obvious that the demand was there. On a busy day, I think the restaurant should anticipate this and make replenishing popular items like crab legs a higher priority. If something is consistently disappearing as soon as it hits the buffet, that's a good indication it needs to come out more frequently. Other than that, everything else was great. The restaurant was clean, the service was really good, and we enjoyed the rest of the food. 1st time to Temecula for wine tasting and checked to see what dining options were available under the AAdvantage dining program and this one was newly added. Lots of choices but it seems a bit misleading regarding the types of cuisine when you google this place. Inside you see all these different countries flags and think to yourself that it is going to be an international buffet; however, the sign outside the bidg states "seafood & Asian food". Food was mediocre with nothing outstanding. I didn't care that most of their food was fried. Crab legs are offered on the weekend (but hog attacked) since the pricing is 27.95 per person (if you must try, I'd stick to lunch during the week as it is almost half the price). The salad bar is a joke with not much to choose from; however, their fruit bar was more pleasing. I didn't care for their sushi bar as it seemed dry and not very fresh. Beer and wine is available so we had a couple glasses of cab and it was not bad for the price (5.49/glass). Overall, I would not come back here again unless it was during the week with the as advertised lower pricing. Staff was friendly and the service was very good though. read more

Another day, another Chinese seafood buffet. I walked into Hibachi today not expecting much. I'd been disappointed by similar restaurants in the past, including one not too many weeks ago. Usually not all the entrees are fresh, the seafood high-ticket items get picked apart first by a ravenous crowd, and I just don't find too many options of actual variety and quality. Hibachi actually had some decent spare ribs, wings, and the salmon wasn't terrible, albeit having sat in the warmer a little too long. The Mongolian bbq station was quality too. It was just missing a few veggies I normally get like carrots, green onions, and bell peppers. It did have shrimp, imitation crab, and many beef and chicken options, which was nice. I didn't see any lamb or goat choices, which is another meat I normally employ in my Mongolian BBQ construction. The service was great. The servers were refilling and clearing debris like plates and napkins often before I had even started to consider calling someone over. That's the kind of service you always want, one that anticipates needs. The ambiance was good too. I was a little disappointed we didn't get the booth we requested, but that was a minor quibble. Otherwise, the layout was spacious and relaxed, as much as it can be in a buffet environment. I would definitely not mind eating at this spot again on a quieter afternoon or evening. All in all, Hibachi managed to be a pleasant surprise and I give it better marks walking out of it than I anticipated when I first walked in. We recently visited Hibachi Buffet and were really impressed by the huge selection. If you love seafood, there are plenty of options, including crab legs, shrimp, fish, oysters, and fresh sushi. My favorite part was the Mongolian barbecue. I loved being able to create my own plate with exactly what I wanted, and my son had so much fun watching them cook everything right in front of us. We went during a weeknight but they said on Fridays-weekends they serve crab legs so I gotta go back to try that! The buffet just got renovated and it looks pretty nice. They got rid of the spoons and forks at the end of the buffet line and its pretty organized. They have a soup station, a sweets section and a tiny sushi section. The mongolian station is also very decent. Beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. You have many options and the quality is above average. I read a review of people being sick but thats ludacris bc they make their food fresh daily. Have people seen where waste really goes?? They cant re-use the same food. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! The TikTok and Instagram videos about the crab are misleading! I went here with my mom for her birthday. She really wanted crab, and while I wasn't expecting anything amazing, I honestly couldn't believe how disappointing the experience was. You'd be lucky if they brought out crab every 30 minutes. When they did, there might only be enough for 4 portions. There are signs asking guests to be respectful and only take a few pieces, but I personally watched two tables walk up and take practically an entire tray while everyone else stood there waiting. At one point, after we had already waited over an hour, our server and another gentleman offered to go into the back and get us crab legs. My question is: Why isn't the crab available on the buffet line in the first place? I wasn't going to be that person who grabbed an entire tray of crab legs while 80 other people were waiting, especially after I had already been standing there for over an hour. We were eventually told, "You should have asked." But why should I have to ask? That's not really how a buffet is supposed to work. If I wanted sit-down seafood service where I had to specifically request my food, I would have gone somewhere like Bluewater. My mom ended up picking at a salad because she wasn't enjoying much else and, despite everything, we were still charged for one meal. The gentleman had offered us a free meal, which I initially declined. Once I realized we had still been charged, I decided to take him up on the offer. Unfortunately, they quickly recanted and instead just removed the charge from my card. I understand that restaurants get busy, and I tried to be patient. Before leaving, I even asked when the best time would be to come back so we could actually get some crab. The woman who appeared to be the owner simply told me, "It's always like this." Well, I guess that answers my question. Save yourself the trip if you're specifically coming for the crab. The social media hype does NOT match the actual experience.
