Surprisingly good Korean BBQ spot in Temecula. Came here with my date to get some protein in us with some pretty good cuts of beef, pork belly, and lots of choices with the ban chans. It's an incredibly busy place, but depending on when you come in, you'll get seated fairly quickly. The seats are pretty comfortable, at least in the booth seats. The noise level is at a very high decibel most of the time, as there's lots of families, kids, groups, couples, and more. If you're looking for a quiet place to dine, do not come here lol. But do come here for the BBQ! Restrooms were fairly clean also. There's plenty of parking around the lot, but again, the restaurant does get pretty packed. read more

I've been to 2N1 Korean BBQ two or three times now, mainly because I wanted to give it a fair chance and understand why it's so popular with Temecula locals. Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming for me. The service, on the other hand, has always been excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and that's easily the strongest part of my experiences here. That said, I've also been given utensils and plates that were visibly dirty on multiple visits and had to ask for replacements both times. The floors have also felt noticeably greasy. I understand that KBBQ restaurants deal with oil, smoke, and grease from tabletop grilling, but plenty of other KBBQ spots seem to manage those same challenges without the dining area feeling this way. I think 2N1 could do a much better job with that aspect of the experience. The meats themselves are fine, but Korean BBQ is about much more than just the meat. Banchan and the accompanying dishes are an important part of a traditional Korean meal, and that's where 2N1 falls short for me. The Steamed Egg has arrived flat rather than light and fluffy, and the Cucumber Kimchi hasn't been very memorable. They also only give you about three small cucumber slices at a time, which feels oddly skimpy for a side dish at an AYCE restaurant. I've gone back more than once hoping I'd feel differently, but the food still doesn't compare to the KBBQ I've had throughout OC, the Bay, and SD. If you mainly want AYCE meat and prefer a more casual, less traditional KBBQ experience, I can see the appeal. It's difficult to rate 2N1 poorly because the staff has been so great every time, but between the food and recurring cleanliness issues, it just hasn't been strong enough for me to want to return. read more

The main reason I'm finally posting is because I had a bad experience at another Korean all-you-can-eat BBQ spot on Jefferson Ave, so I wanted to show some love here. I stopped by on a Friday night around 7 PM, and the place was packed. I added my name to the waitlist, and a few minutes later the manager called me up. He mentioned there's usually a two-person minimum when it gets busy, but still got me seated right away--which I really appreciated. That's solid customer service. I'd definitely recommend it, but for $35, it could've been better. I go to another place for $23 per person, a lot of variety with sides and such and it makes this place hard to favor. The brisket, beef steak, and beef chop steak were phenomenal and definitely the stars of the meal. Those cuts were really well done. The pickled radish was amazing, but the thin radish wrap didn't have that tangy pickled taste at all, which was a little disappointing. The kimchi was average -- I've had much more delicious versions elsewhere. The iced green tea also tasted very watered down -- the color in my cup was practically clear with only the slightest tint of green if you looked carefully, which says a lot. They have 3 different prices. We went for the most basic AYCE meal...the regular menu. It's about $35 per person. I'm sorry this place is just mediocre because the selection of meat in the regular menu is ok not much options. The brisket is brought out frozen. The bulgogi beef and chicken were pretty good. My complaint is the grill keeps sliding out and the table is too small to fit any plates on. Service was pretty good. The food is really great, Service is OK, but they are working hard. My gripe is with the fact that if you are alone or are only a party of one, you won't be seated. They say it's because of how busy it is, and I feel like that's just a terrible excuse, mainly because what've you've just essentially said is that I as a single customer aren't worthy of a table. I had a bad day and wanted some comfort food to make me happy... turning people away because their party isn't big enough is insane. I have money, I want to give you money so that I can eat your good food... The fact that I am alone is irrelevant if I can pay, that's ridiculous! I see this place recommended a lot and this week I was temecula for work and knew I had to stop in. Now it's become an absolute must visit every time i'm in the area - so good, and reasonably priced! (cheap lunch specials at both locations) Food (5/5) - took some coworkers here for a work lunch and even just the lowest tier menu was great in price and taste. Great sides like corn cheese and fried chicken, and great quality meats like the beef belly and flavorful bulgogi had us eating until we gained a few extra pounds. need to come back for the premium menus. service (5/5) - i guess they usually have a tablet system to order, but it wasn't working today so they had servers taking orders. I went to 2N1 KBBQ in Temecula with my friends. It wasn't busy, so we were able to get seated right away while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We wanted to get started on ordering and cooking so they could eat as soon as they got there. Unfortunately, our grill ran into some issues and wasn't able to keep a fire going. The server called for manager assistance to fix it. It did take a little time, but since we were still waiting on our group, it wasn't a huge deal. Once it was resolved, everything moved smoothly. We ordered brisket and a few other items, and the meats were pretty standard but still enjoyable. Nothing super standout, but solid for a KBBQ spot. The soju bombs were reasonably priced, and we ended up getting three bottles of soju, which made the experience more fun for the group. Overall, the restaurant felt like your typical KBBQ spot--casual, lively, and easy to enjoy with friends. What really stood out to me was the pricing. Compared to what I'm used to in the Bay Area, everything here felt significantly more affordable for the same kind of experience. Quick wait time and comfortable seating. I love my corner table all the way to the back! Background music keeps the ambiance alive for a casual ambiance and atmosphere. This is my first Korean bbq experience and it was great. I never cared to try it because I really did not care to cook my own food. We were a party of 3 and came here on a Sunday afternoon. It's not too far from the AMC theatres. There's a lot of parking and the restaurant is towards the back of the mall. It was pretty busy so we signed up on the wait list and waited maybe less than 10 mins. Our server was Jocelyn. She was very attentive, thorough, helpful and answered all my questions. This being my first time, I had a ton of questions. We all did the $34 pp lunch with unlimited sides. We were able to order 4 meats at the most every time. All of them were good. Bulgogi, beef/pork belly, Hawaiian beef, beef brisket. There's a robot that goes around with meats too but I did not see how that worked. It never stopped over to us, which was ok because I would not have known what to do. Jocelyn made sure we were always ok. She was kind and had great recommendations. She was always on top of switching out grills. All of these things helped me get through my rookie experience. The food was amazing, portions were huge, and pricing was great. First off the service was completely TERRIBLE!!!!!! We literally waited 15 minutes from being seated down and didn't even get greeted or anything and we had to flag down someone and ask can we order?! The next thing that we did not like was literally getting three different orders that we didn't even order and they kept messing up and bringing us different dishes that we weren't even ordering, which is seriously ridiculous!! oh and I forgot that I ordered brisket sauce and the lady didn't even come back and give me the brisket sauce and we ordered another plate of brisket and it didn't even come!!!! We were a party of four but we're able to get a table easily as we arrived before 6pm. It got packed afterwards though. They have three meat options available standard, premium A, or B. Tip: it gets insanely smoky, because there are hoods but they are useless. Wear clothes that you don't plan on wearing the rest of the evening. Tucked into the shopping center in Temecula, this Korean BBQ is well and through with a nice open layout, front entrance access and plenty of parking in nearby parking lots among the rest of the shopping stores here. It was our first time trying out the KBBQ here and the selection for the regular on a weekend was pretty good. There are plenty of tables and booths alike. I didn't completely count but most tables can seat up to 4 chairs. All of the grills are at each table in the middle and you can't just move tables together if you have a big party. We came in with a party to three so seating was just less than 5 minutes while we saw a party of 8 was waiting before we got there and still saw them waiting after we got half way through our food. The choice selections are your typical but they have a premium menu that is about $59 while the lunch and regular menu is $29 and $33. Additionally, drinks and sodas are about 2.99 and upwards. The staple selections we tried were the briskets, bulgogi, pork belly and steak. Sides are selected via their menu which they actually have quite a lot. You can order those side dishes as much as you can. So many variety of selections from 3 versions of the kimchi to rice paper and other veggies. Only sad worst they didn't have was the potato salad. The grill was a bit tricker, at least in our table as it kept moving and tilting around. Even after they replaced the grilled, it was still loving; not a show stopper for sure. Had such a great time here. Everything we tried was on point, especially the Wagyu, which was so tender and flavorful, and the bulgogi was perfectly marinated with that sweet/savory balance you want. Not here to bash the restaurant. Just sharing my experience. I guess there's an unspoken rule that KBBQ places here don't serve solo diners on weekends. I got there. Added myself to the waitlist. Waited 20-25 minutes. Got called up only for them to tell me that the don't serve solo diners on weekends. Sorry, I have no choice but to be solo bc my husband is deployed. That was irksome and so inconvenient considering the time wasted waiting for nothing. Silver lining, and the real reason I am posting...as I was walking out, a man heard me get rejected for dining and the guy went after me to ask if I wanted to sit with him and his group. I just wanted to thank him for his kindness and I apologize if I walked away quickly. I was a bit embarrassed waiting that long only to be denied service. We called and they said 10 min late. Not 5 mins later, we get there it a 30-40 min wait. (you sign in with your number on a tablet and it send check you in) it sends a link to follow what place in line you are. Food review: food is good. I like the options. The basic menu plan has everything you would want/need. My personal fav is the spicy bulgogi pork. I do appreciate all the sides. They have just about everything. Service: it was good. Our server was kind. I did have to seek out a high chair and the strap was broken. They did check on us a good amount of times and also did grill changes without asking. They did miss a few things but nothing major. We didn't get served by the robot this time...sad Ambiance: basic but does that job. it is loud and it was very cold inside. Everytime someone opens the door you feel it throughout the restaurant. I appreciate the signs that say slippery floor caution. I wish there was something they could do about this, I was slipping and sliding! The chairs are ok, wish they were a tad more comfortable. I'd give it a 4.5. My niece who is 11, gave it a 4. I have no clue how I missed this establishment for the three years it's been around, but I finally got to visit for lunch today. The place is pretty big and fancy inside, you definitely can't tell how large it is from the outside. They are also currently doing construction/remodeling which was a little loud and odd during business hours. The hostess was really sweet about making sure we had a big booth away from other patrons as we came in with my friend's son with special needs. The service was outstanding, $24.99 lunch special for all you can eat. There is a decently large selection of meats (beef, pork, chicken) and also unlimited sides which they also had so many to choose from. I only deducted a star because it was my first visit and we weren't aware about some of the dishes (sides) brought out uncooked (Tteok-bokki and sweet potatoes for example, I was expecting gamja jorim instead of raw sliced potatoes I had to throw on the grill) and each time I had to stop someone and ask because the servers just dumped them on the table without a word. Every employee we flagged down to ask questions were all super helpful and polite about it. The bibimbap side was a bowl of rice and salad with pickled veggies and gochujang which I was confused until I realized you had to build your own with the meats and that it was not an actual traditional bibimbap. I enjoyed mostly everything, a couple of the sides we didn't care for, but other than that ... I would highly recommend and would definitely return. Bring your appetites because the meat servings are huge! We went through almost 8 orders of meat and at least a dozen sides in an hour. I've eaten here multiple times before, but my experience today was really disappointing. Yes, we came in later than usual. By the time our name was called and we were seated, it was around 9:00 p.m. What upset me was that we then waited almost 15 minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. When she finally came over, the first thing she said was, "Just so you know, last call is at 9:30." That was incredibly frustrating. If last call is at 9:30, why were we left waiting for nearly 15 minutes before anyone even took our order? During that entire time, our waitress was in our section helping other tables, but never once acknowledged us or let us know she'd be with us shortly. We were left wondering who our server even was. I completely understand that restaurants have a last call, and I respect that. My issue isn't with the policy it's with the lack of timely service. If we had been helped when we were seated, we would have had plenty of time to order before last call. Instead, we lost valuable time because we were ignored, which made the whole experience feel frustrating and disappointing. This keeps the focus on the service issue rather than the restaurant's last-call policy, making the complaint clearer and more constructive. read more

This is favorite spot to go to when I really dont want to go all all the way out to OC and that like.. all the time being in San Jacinto I've been here a few times and it already beats all its local competitors. I'm not one to eat hot prepared food from kbbq places bc had a back experience at gen but I tried the fried chicken, corn cheese, and japchae and it's SO GOOD. The meats dont taste frozen at all and taste really good with the dipping condiments provided. The place is VERY clean and welcoming from the get go. The waiters are always SO FRIENDLY and service is always fast. They make things nice and easy for you if its your time there.
