Great space for a large event. Friendly, helpful, professional are all words that can describe the staff at The Lobby . I had my first experience with the Lobby for a private birthday event over the past weekend and they know how to throw a party. The staff are on top of big events and they do a great job, down to the littlest details. Highlights of the food catered from the kitchen: Deviled Eggs, charcuterie board, and meatballs. Sliders were just ok - meat is a little overdone and the bread was a tad bit stale. They serve up a mean cocktail as well. Try out their Nitro Cold Brew Coffee (Queen City coffee) with maple whiskey, and cream--is amazing! Great venue - upstairs, downstairs, and outside on the patio and in the courtyard were all very nice. Hopefully the neighbors in the apartments that attach to The Lobby enjoyed the live band we hired!

Biscuits & grave with eggs & fried chicken strips

Sadly my favorite fried french toast was discontinued. So i had the regular french toast which was still pretty great ! Fried green tomato were Amazing!!! No pic since they lasted 2 seconds on the table ! Biscuit& grave with fried chicken was equally amazing! Steak wasn't a great cut so we threw half of it away . Still one of my favorite brunch spots downtown for sure !!

While in town, we got brunch at The Lobby. Our server was attentive and even pushed two of us to get the bottomless mimosas. For $20, it's a pretty good deal! Perfect for a girls brunch or get together. You have a 2 hour limit but can drink as many as you want. We don't have anything like that anymore in NC! We all enjoyed our food. We started off with fried pickles. The sauce they came with was delicious. I got the chicken and waffles and it was also very tasty! Highly recommend. Overall, if you're looking for a brunch spot in Denver near Laramie Square, this is a great option!

This is such a cute spot for brunch! There's a fun courtyard outside that I def was enjoying while taking a phone call after my meal. The interior is also super cute and I love all the hanging foliage. My cousin had recommended this place for bottomless mimosas and while I didn't do bottomless this time, next time I will! I got a breakfast burger (can't remember which one) with my eggs runny and it was absolutely delicious! They also have other great options on the menu for you to choose from. Come check it out!

Denver Omelette and Eggs Benedict

Bottomless mimosas in downtown Denver had me inebriated on a Wednesday morning. This restaurant has such a cute courtyard. Everyone chose to dine outside that morning. It was equally chilly both outside and inside though. We got brunch here, and it was delicious. I got the Denver Omelette, while my friend got the Eggs Benedict. It was very tasty, and the mimosas were so strong. The price was reasonable for the large portion size and ambience. The server was very friendly.

Went for lunch to preview the venue and later in the week for an event. The event manager was a pleasure to work with and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The space is nice, with both indoor and outdoor seating. When I had lunch, I opted for their special which was a burger topped with green chile, poblano peppers, and fried onion strings with a side salad. There was no option for how the burger was cooked as it was medium-well (I prefer mine more pink.) The chile had good flavor. Food for the event was selected from a tasting menu and was enjoyed by all as was evident by the many empty platters that kept getting refilled by staff. Nice venue for a memorable event.

Service here is terrible but the bottomless mimosas is hard to dis-acknowledge. Could be better if service also better.

We love a good mimosa!

Thank you, Mary, for recommending the mimosa! You were absolutely wonderful--so attentive and kind. You truly have a natural gift for being a great waitress.

I came here because it looked like it was a rooftop restaurant. But once we got there we were quickly shown to what felt like a bar like seat (hi seats) and we noticed there was no rooftop anything .... Im iffy about this place . Honestly, brunch was basic . The flavors didn't wow me. The bottomless mimosas weren't bad but they weren't good . The only thing that was pretty tasty was this cinnabun thing . I think because it was loaded with sugar . The staff was nice . Im from NYC tho - I just wasnt excited about anything we had . Would we come back ? Nope .... Back to syrup I guess ...

Came for my sister's birthday and I think quality here has gone downhill. Our waiter could have been new so trying to give him some grace here. We were greeted but then getting our water and drink orders in took longer than it should. My sister's water had foreign substances in it, as if the cup wasn't washed right. That wouldn't have bothered me as much but shortly after my mom got her coffee, we realized the spoons they gave us for the cream and sugar were not washed at all! There was an obvious mayonnaise substance on them as if those had not been washed at all. Next disappointing thing was the drink, the "pick me up". It was hard to drink. I could've sent it back but the waiter also took forever and we hardly saw him. I think this place is great if you're looking for an affordable bottomless mimosa special.

Chicken Sandwich was amazing! Fries galore. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu! Our server was Mara and couldn't have been more happy with the service! Our drinks kept coming at the suggestion of "having another" by Mara. We love that Mara! She also suggested we have the donut holes and those were a perfect ending to our Brunch/Lunch! We will be back again and again! Request Mara! She's fantastic!

Good spot for brunch/breakfast. Went on a Monday morning with friends and it wasn't busy. Nice patio seats if the weather is nice. Server was friendly and attentive. Whip-it waffles were pretty good. Hash browns are good too, they're the diced style with some peppers. Seemed like a small breakfast menu but still good.

This is a special spot. The food came out fast and the service is really spot on. The chicken and waffles were crispy and tender, and the spice blend was unique and tasty. The yogurt parfair was very satisfying, but the way it's served requires some deconstruction prior to enjoying since it comes in a tall glass that you can't eat from directly without overflowing it. I also wish there was a better description of the veggie chili on the menu, because it had onions and green peppers and that would have influenced my decision. I love the puns on the menu. The outdoor patio is shaded and private. Definitely recommend.

Well, I have visited this restaurant 3 times. All 3 times have been for a holiday brunch or…read moredinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

During the last few Denver Restaurant Week events, I've tried to take the offerings as an…read moreopportunity to sample restaurants that I haven't tried, or otherwise may not try, and see if I can add to my list of favorites. I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

SPACE: Located in the highlands, this place has become the new "it" spot when it comes to breakfast. It's easy to spot on the corner, has decent street parking options and cute as pie inside. Bright colors splash the walls, which are lined with booths and tables alike. Community seating is in the middle, which the girls and I were happy to dine at. The color scheme here is so fun and welcoming, creating a happy and fun vibe. SERVICE: We were greeted inside by a friendly host who explained they were on a small wait. MAKE A RESERVATION and you'll be able to skip the wait, like we did, as this place is popular and fills up fast! Our server, his name escapes me now, was SO fun. He had us laughing, excited about the various food and drink offerings and made us feel right at home. It was obvious he was outgoing and truly enjoyed his job, which made all the difference in service! SIPS: We all opted for various coffee and matcha drinks. I sipped on the iced cereal milk latte, while my sister sampled the fruity pebbles matcha and our cousin had the cortado. YUM! SUSTENANCE: Such fun and different food options - which had us craving both savory and sweet! We started with the sausage in a blanket and loaded hashbrown, which was so good! My sister opted for a benedict, cousin got the massive breakfast burrito, and I opted for the breakfast salad - which was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, salty with a runny egg on top. SERIOUSLY YUM! We also chose to try the buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, because why the heck not?! Everything came out in good time, was pretty in presentation and absolutely delicious! Portions are massive so come hungry! Here's to more breakfast dates at this new and fun spot!!
