Came here on the recommendation of our local family members. Took the RTD train downtown and walked about 1mile to this location. We were seated by the hostess at about 9:45 am and noticed that we missed the specials that ended at 9. No matter, Cody was pleasant as she interacted with us and got our beverages and gave us some time to decide on our meal. Many breakfast items and that is what we chose. A bit pricey, but large portions made up for it. Tasty and quickly served were highlights of our meal.

Wow super glad we stopped in for breakfast. This was a great diner style restaurant. Largest selection of food I've seen on any menu. Service was fast and attentive food came out quick. They also have a full bar and a wide variety of drink selection. I got the wild bill staker and got the hotty toddy , also got the fajita breakfast burrito and a burning expresso martini. Food and drinks were both great!!will definitely be coming back!

If you're looking for a true Denver diner experience, I highly recommend Sam's No 3. This place absolutely lived up to the hype! A family oriented spot that is a must stop. What stood out most was the staff. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Great service can make a meal memorable, and they definitely delivered. The food was equally impressive. One visit, I had the smothered pork chops, which were flavorful, comforting, and cooked perfectly. The next time, I went for one of their massive burritos, and "huge" doesn't even begin to describe it. Packed with flavor and enough for more than one meal, it was everything you want from a classic diner experience. Their menu is known for oversized burritos and green chili favorites, and it definitely did not disappoint. Between the incredible staff, generous portions, and delicious comfort food, Sam's No. 3 has earned a spot on my list of must-visit Denver restaurants. I can't wait to come back and work my way through more of the menu!

Had seen this place on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and wanted to give it a try. (Plus it was right across from our hotel). The food was solid and the service was great! I recommend the pancakes, they were delicious! Warning: portions are large! If you love a true diner atmosphere with a vast selection on the menu, I'd definitely recommend this spot.

This place was recognized on the show diners and dives , so it's got some cred. As a diner who loves diners and dives I can say this place is pretty great ! Service, loved it QR code menu and food runner for breakfast - love that! Place is super clean and the vibe is spot on! I do have a couple challenges- the silverware sucks ass! And with my food order the ham steak was overly thin and because of that , dry af ! But I will come back

Another business trip to Denver, another chance to check a spot off the list--and if Guy Fieri has been here, you know it's getting a visit. Right in downtown, Sam's No. 3 definitely grabs your attention. Classic diner vibe with a modern twist, busy energy, and a menu that's massive. Seriously--this place has something for everyone, and then some. I came in knowing I had to get back to work, so the legendary "Kitchen Sink" was out (tempting... but no chance I'm surviving that before a meeting ). After going back and forth, I landed on the French Dip. It was good--solid, no complaints--but didn't quite hit that "wow" level I'm always chasing. A little more punch would've helped, and the creamy horseradish definitely should be part of the standard setup--it made a difference. Now my dining partner... he went big. He had the sMacdown Burrito, an oversized burrito loaded with mac & cheese, tots, eggs, and chorizo. He slid me a sample, and I've gotta say--that thing brought the flavor. Bold, fun, and exactly what you'd expect from a place like this. The Verdict: Sam's No. 3 is a fun, high-energy spot with an incredible menu and something for every appetite. My sandwich didn't steal the show, but there's enough here to make me want another run at it. Next time? I'm going all-in on breakfast--because let's be honest, breakfast anytime is never the wrong decision.

The food was fabulous, tasty, and affordable with good portions. The service was FAST and she checked on me often. This was a place with locals and tourists. Lots of singles eating at the counters and families at the tables.

This place brings people on its own: no extra reviews are needed but will still write one because they were amazing! We were looking for a hearty meal, and were lucky to have this one within walking distance of our hotel. The food was more than enough, and very tasty! The meals were well served, and flavorful. Our server was amazing! He is there Fridays and Sundays (I'm sure more days but from what we remember) him and the staff were very friendly, and on top of our needs. I recommend the "chingon" and if you like Bloody Marys, they have a great one! The place is big; divided in 2, one side is the restaurant and the other is a bar, with opening seating (if available). Proves are very reasonable. This is a restaurant you must try!

Had dinner before the show. Andres was our server and he was personable and friendly. I ordered the hand rolled chile rellenos with eggs. Their serving sizes are large and filling. A side salad is huge. The rellenos were good. The green chile lovely mixed with the runny egg yolks. Toast to sop it up with. Hash browns so so. Nice unhurried dinner.

Eggs are one of my favorite foods so I'm happy to eat breakfast food for any meal. I walk by this location often during the work week and it's always busy, but service is super fast which is a rare treat in Denver. The location is pretty central downtown which is convenient, but not an area with a scenic view. You could say the people-watching here is interesting. I ordered the veggie stacker with eggs over easy - this is not a meal you eat with your eyes first, but if you're not shallow it's not bad. It tastes completely unseasoned but nothing a bit of salt and hot sauce can't fix. The portions are massive, I got 2 full meals out of mine.

I was so excited to see a Green Chile Mexi-Burger on the menu! There was a place in Eaton, Colorado that used to make them and I've been craving one for years. This one didn't disappoint.

This was fun! We showed up on a SUPER BUSY night. We sat at the bar. We got a couple drinks and asked what we needed to try, and the sever told us to get the chili. We got one of each, and it did NOT disappoint. Both were really really good. (I try chili everywhere I can.) The green chili was on DDD. They had bingo going. The atmosphere was fun and festive. The restaurant is a diner, so don't expect too much in terms of super clean and polished decor. The seats can be wobbly, the tables are squeezed together. But it's great! We also got the burger, didn't finish. Literally nothing to write home about. But, the server didn't suggest that, and we went against what he did suggest, so that's on us. Would 100% come back.

Very busy because of theater events. We were seated within the estimated time (20 minutes). Crowded, busy and noisy again because of theater event. Seating is spacious and plentiful. Prices are in keeping with traditional theater district prices. I ordered the meatloaf with two sides. I got tater tots and Mac and cheese. The food arrived quickly and hot. My partner had a beer gyro. Her meal arrived with mine. It was a generous d

Elevated Hospitality: A Masterclass in Event Execution at Tom's Watch Bar…read more I recently organized an event for 120 guests at Tom's Watch Bar in Denver, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial contract phase to the final onsite execution, the team proved they are true masters of high-stakes hospitality. The Vision & Planning Working with Joanna during the planning phase was a dream. She is a consummate professional with a sharp eye for detail. She understood exactly how to translate our brand into the space, creating a custom Denver-themed digital design featuring our logo that played across every large screen. The energy it brought to the room was palpable--our Immediate Past President was so impressed she's already requested the same "wow factor" for all our future events. The Spread The catering exceeded all expectations. We opted for a diverse package that catered beautifully to everyone, including our vegetarian and vegan guests. The Savory: The mac & cheese was a crowd favorite, and the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and moist. The loaded sliders and tater tot bar also kept the energy high throughout the evening. The Sweet: Do not miss the dessert bar. Specifically, there is a peanut butter bar with an incredible internal crunch that is absolutely addictive. The Atmosphere & Entertainment The venue layout is genius. We had a mix of indoor seating for both small and large group discussions, plus an incredible outdoor space with stunning stadium views. We brought in a third-party karaoke vendor, and the staff--Joanna, Zach and Matt--coordinated with them so seamlessly behind the scenes that I didn't have to worry about a single technical detail. Between the karaoke, Jenga, and cornhole, there was never a dull moment. The Service What truly sets this venue apart is the personal touch. Zach and Matt are absolute stars. Knowing I was busy managing the entrance and welcoming guests, they went out of their way to check in on me personally, ensuring I had food and a drink in hand. That level of care for an event organizer is rare and deeply appreciated. If you are looking for a venue that combines a high-energy atmosphere with white-glove professional service, Tom's Watch Bar is the place. Request Joanna, Zach, and Matt--you'll be in the best hands in Denver.

I sat there long enough without a menu that the CUSTOMER NEXT TO ME finally handed me one--shoutout to her for unexpectedly joining the waitstaff. Eventually, one of the two bartenders appeared and took my drink order. About 15 minutes later, the drink arrived. Food, however, remained an elusive concept because he never came back to take my order. To be fair, he was extremely busy. There were other customers to attend to, people to socialize with, a computer system to stare at in visible confusion, and--most importantly--limes to cut. I don't know what those limes had that I didn't, but they received a level of attention and commitment I could only dream of. Meanwhile, I watched other guests receive service while I sat there wondering whether I needed to submit a formal application to order lunch. As the lone Black woman dining by myself, the difference in attention was hard not to notice. I can't tell you what was in his head, but I can tell you what happened: other people were waited on, while another customer had to give me a menu and neither bartender bothered to take my food order. Eventually, I accepted that lunch was not part of my dining experience and left. One star for the drink. Five stars to the random customer who apparently recognized that restaurants traditionally provide menus and take food orders. And my sincerest congratulations to the limes--I hope they're very happy together.

Frankly, the pictures online look a lot better than the place in person but it is still nicely decorated. We only wanted drinks and a smallish snack so we ordered the Smoked Trout Dip and "Bagel Chips." The dip was good (likely mostly made of cream cheese) but the bagel "chips" consisted of three halves of an everything bagel stuck in the dip. The bagel halves were so hard, you could easily chip your teeth on them. Honestly, we should have sent them back but I almost never do that anywhere. We sort of gnawed on them to make them softer and, in fairness, we cleaned the plate. For drinks, we tried a tiki-themed cocktail and a mocktail. Both were good. Our service was good. It was mostly good, but with room for improvement. Starting with the good, the prime rib dinner was excellent. The rib was juicy and well prepared, the horseradish and au jus were up to the task and the duck-fat fried fries were pretty yummy. The creamed spinach was particularly good. It was a great meal. Our second meal, not so much. We had the lobster roll and pot pie. Even though they advertise the lobster as flown in fresh daily, it had obviously been frozen and indeed our server acknowledged that when we asked. It was OK, but nothing special. Likewise, the pot pie was merely OK. A large cheesy biscuit consumed most of the space in the bowl leaving little room for anything else. We only ate about half of it and sent the rest back. It was an OK meal, but paled in comparison to the prime rib the night before. At the bar one night we had the sticky chicken wings and Ceasar salad. The salad was particularly tasty with a good tangy dressing. The wings were a bit overcooked, but meaty and with a tasty sauce. And as advertised, the wings were really sticky and gooey. One needs to go find a place to wash up when finished. The bar is well stocked so getting your favorite libation is no problem. The food quality notwithstanding, the service was great. We enjoyed several different bar tenders and food servers during our stay and all were pleasant, friendly and good at their jobs. Kudos to them. Also great was the ambiance. The building dates back to the 1800s and oozes charm and character throughout. The bar and restaurant have a nautical theme, which one would not really expect in Denver. I read somewhere that one of the original owners had a model ship collection his wife didn't want in the house so it ended up in the restaurant. Nevertheless, it works. The walls are paneled in dark wood and the heavy tiled floors create a warm and comfortable environment. Overall, we loved the place and would happily return the next time we visit Denver. The bar was a friendly place, the drinks were good, the people were nice and our stay was pleasant.
