I'm not sure why this Yard House has such poor reviews because my family and I had a great experience! Our waitress was great. She was sweet, friendly, and efficient. I love restaurants with a large menu that offers different types of food. It's perfect when people don't want the same things or for those who want to taste several unique dishes. Our family ordered: Three Cheese Pizza - Although it sounds boring, this pizza was SO GOOD! I do not like cheese pizza and never would order a cheese pizza because it's just simple. I like my pizza with meat and toppings! HOWEVER, this pizza was exquisite! I was surprised that I liked it. My husband said it may be one of the best cheese pizzas he has ever had. Mediterranean Salmon - I love this entree! If you look at the ingredients closely, this meal has fresh whole foods that are perfectly balanced. You have great carbs and fiber from the quinoa, protein and healthy fats from the salmon and the total calorie is great. Although this is considered a healthy choice on the menu, the flavors are ALL there! The meal may not be as appealing compared to maybe a cheeseburger or pasta, but don't sleep on it! Cali Roll Stack - This was phenomenal! The flavors were divine and after finishing it, I wanted more. This was basically a giant sushi roll. The size is huge that you can even order this appetizer as a meal. If you do order it as an appetizer, you will be fighting for the last bite. I don't eat at Yard House often, but maybe I should! The location of the restaurant is nice. Right at the corner and attached to the Sheraton Hotel. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good. I ordered the Double Decker BLT with fries. The sandwich comes with Boston lettuce which didn't really have that crunch factor for the sandwich for me. I did take the middle bread out which I preferred. The fries were crisp and hot. For a tourist chain, Yard House was surprisingly good. Jayla showed me to my seat kindly. The restaurant was not too crowded or loud. I had the whiskey glaze burger with a veggie patty and sweet potato fries plus a sparkling passion fruit drink. The food was delicious and came out hot. Things had started off slow however. My server was Shannon, and it took him 20 minutes to return with the single water I had ordered when I first showed up. After a long day of exploring Colorado, my friends and I didn't want to to put much effort into researching places to eat and looked for something close to our hotel. We were staying at the Hyatt Regency close by and decided to come here because it was walking distance. One of my rules of traveling is usually to steer away from chain restaurants, but we picked convenience and honestly, Yard House usually always hits the spot. This location is attached to the Sheraton in downtown Denver. We walked over so I can't speak on the parking situation. I got on the waitlist prior to heading over so we were seated right away. Bri was our server and she did a really great job taking care of us from start to finish. We started off with some cold drinks. One of the things I love about Yard House is that they have a really nice draft beer selection with their own stuff as well as a bunch of other local and domestic beers. They also have cocktails and wines. For an appetizer, I went the the calamari. It's one of my go to choices anywhere that has it and they did it right here. I treated myself with my entree and went with the 20 oz. Bone in Ribeye and Shrimp. The steak came out perfectly cooked to my liking and was seasoned just right. No sauce was needed. The shrimp was also cooked just right and a great addition to the steak. Not to be outdone by the proteins, the side of parmesan mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini were very good. Though we had great service, with the restaurant being so busy, we did have to wait a while to close out. No biggie when amongst great company. Denver is one my favorite cities to repeat visit so I am sure I will be back here at some point. read more

Enjoyed a late dinner here and loved the vibe! It's a busy, well maintained restaurant. At the time of my visit, the hotel was hosting a conference so the restaurant was completely packed. That didn't prevent our server from checking on our group often and keeping our drinks full. Our food and drinks arrived fairly quickly after ordering as well. A little hard to have a conversation across the table. However, the food was wonderful. We arrived late in the afternoon on a Sunday & they were relatively busy. Yard House has been around for 30 years with tons of locations all over the U.S. This location is in the downtown Sheraton Hotel & of course being downtown parking can be a challenge. Yard House doesn't take reservations but they do have a Waitlist. Service was great...we were seated immediately & greeted by our friendly & attentive Server. Drinks & Apps came fast. We had the Fried Calamari & Miguel's Queso Dip to start. The crispy Calamari was nice & tender - served with two yummy sauces, a Spicy Tomato & a Roasted Jalapeño Tarter. The Queso Dip was good as well but we needed more of everything - dip, tortillas & chips. We had a couple of entrees. First, was a 20 oz Bone-in Korean Rib Eye with Grilled Shrimp & Chili Garlic Fries. This was a huge plate of deliciousness. The steak was cooked perfectly & marinated in a strong soy ginger marinade which I enjoyed. The Grilled Shrimp were a nice compliment & the Fries were spicy. In hindsight I should have chosen the Parmesan Mashed Potatoes as my side to balance out the dish better. Walking the downtown streets of Denver, we got a little disoriented searching for a local taco shop we had looked for. For some reason our GPS would get reversed so as we thought we were walking to the taco shop we were actually walking away from it. Turned out for the best - we love the Yard House and a few of their offerings. Ironically, we only go to the Yard House when we are out of town. We have never been to one in Arizona. We were greeted immediately and had fun bantering with our host and another man who turned out to be a potential employee awaiting his interview. We were seated and met our server; a young man whose name currently escapes me. He was super friendly and got our drinks right out. We then placed our orders - my wife with some street tacos and me with my Two Pepper Jack burger and fries. It was relaxing and warm inside, so we enjoyed a brief break from the cold and the wind outside. Before we knew it our entrees were in front of us and some drink refills as well. Fantastic service and all of our food was delicious. We were able to get free from all of the noise of our convention and the sights of the city to actually relax and talk some future business and plan out the rest of our stay in Denver. After we stopped in here for dinner, neither Diane nor I was impressed with the menu offerings. But we selected Fried Calamari as an appetizer, which was pretty crisp. And the Spicy Tomato Sauce with Horseradish accompanying it initially literally took my breath away. Sesame Shrimp Noodles mixed with Broccolini and disk-shaped Carrots were also spicy. Diane's Fish & Chips were pretty dark but she liked them. Coleslaw was rather grossly cut but just creamy enough. I had also ordered a Poke Salad but the server forgot to bring it. Because it was late, I let the matter drop. The men's restroom was out of toilet paper and messy, with tissues littering the floor. Listen, as a retired industry veteran myself, Laura and Brendan were two of the best I've seen behind the bar in a long time. They were gracious, hilarious, and just genuinely hospitable. Laura is one of the best bartenders I've seen in a while. She really made our day. We travel for work quite often and are constantly trying to figure out where to eat. It's always Yard House. They didn't miss a step. Between running side work and taking care of guests needs I was extremely impressed. I would let them both bartend any event I ever held. The food was delicious. Had to walk in here because it suddenly started raining outside. I've been a handful of times before but I typically avoid it because it's commercialism hell. I walked in to the first seat at the bar and almost immediately I am asked to move and totally ushered out of the way as if I have NO RIGHTS. Where I initially sat has empty seats all around, at least 2 seats empty to the right, 2 seats empty to the left. But, for some reason I was asked to move. And they didn't move me a few seats over, like 5-7 seats over, that bartender moved me about 20 seats over and around the corner. I was very confused. So, I asked him, "What was that all about?" and he says back "Oh there was a really drunk guy over there and we needed to get him out and I didn't want you to have to 'deal with that'". So, as a female you accept that answer, right. "Oh, he's 'protecting meeee'". Then as I ordered a drink and a bite to eat, and I look over wondering about this said "drunk person", this drunk man, who was SUCH a problem yet invisible multiple seats to either side from where I wanted to sit down, and I see absolutely no one. I see zero commotion. Those seats, my seat, remained empty 95% of the time I was there. Of course until shortly before I left and an older MAN sat in my exact seat but was allowed to remain and left alone to order as he saw fit. The couple 3 seats over in the corner where I first sat, no upset reaction, they didn't "have to move". No commotion. No drunk guy. What is going on here?? I think I was gaslighted. I think that bartender didn't want the front view blocked because they're putting their own personal, selfish preferences ahead of any customer (especially female) who walks in the front door. They just wanna people watch? Gawkers? They wanna save the front bar seats for the MEN as their #1 customers?! Really!?! If any person, or any female, is more comfortable near the door -- then you LET HER BE. Leave her alone! I swear I just wanna go back now for ONE drink every time I pass by it just to say, "NO, I'm not moving from my seat". And for what reason do I need to move, I'll ask. I've never been anyplace who's been so aggressive about my seat choice. I want to be where I felt most comfortable. I'd rather walk backwards next time I get rained on than to ever step another foot in this horrific establishment. But now there might be a new challenge and mission that forces me back. Also... french fries, you might think are impossible to screw up, but they did screw up the fries. They were sitting a LONG TIME before they ever arrived in front of me... grossly dried out and cold. Clearly premade and allowed to sit ad get disgusting before service. Like as commercial as this place is, you can't even make "fresh" oil-dropped french fries?? I never got a chance to tell my gaslighter server about the dried out chewy fries, because he seemed to be SOOOOOOOO busy moving food, people, and drinks around, or I would have. And when I asked for my check, the server *refused* to give me my check first and told me I *had* to pay first, unable to see the check. Usually I insist, as this is fair to get your check prior to payment, so why was I passive tonight, I do not know. We need to be able to say "I WANT MY PAPER CHECK FIRST". We have every right to review our bill before being charged for it. Servers & bartenders get paid at some of the highest hourly rates in Denver, comparable to the highest tech cities in the entire United States of America. It's insane. And they are some of the worst service experiences. On top of it he took my card up front! Then I had to rescan my card to pay, anyway. So why take my card from the start if you are going to make me take my card back out to pay anyway? Makes ZERO sense. Something, a lotta things, are REALLY wrong at Yardhouse. And let me say one last thing. Rather than call me a pet name like "honey, sweetie, love, darling" -- blah blah, yada yada -- just DON'T. When you're gonna screw me over. I'd rather be treated with RESPECT and given proper, professional treatment, consideration, and service and *NOT* called these stupid, presumptuous, fake, pet names. I was in town for work and had to have a cheeseburger, for #nationalcheesebirgerday! It was Thursday Night Football so it was a bit crowded, but we were able to get a hi-top table in the bar. Our bartender/server, Sean, was AMAZING! Our drinks were great...Strawberry Mule was so refreshing. We started with the Calamari which was disappointing. It was the smallest calamari I've ever seen, which I'm sure was why it was quite tough. Our server immediately took it off our bill. The Fish & Chips were delish. The star of the day....the Burger was soooooo good and the Sweet Potato Fries (crispy of course) hit the spot. This Yard House is accessible from both the street and the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel. As many others have mentioned, it is VERY loud inside. We visited twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times our small group had to yell at one another to be heard. Two members of our group appreciated the "gluten" menu. While this is pretty common in most Yard House locations, this one has a printed menu as well (not just on the table top mini kiosk). All of our meals were pretty standard for a Yard House. The one item that was not good was the chicken on the cobb salad. It was extremely dry and tough. Shout out to our dinner server, Connor! I came here twice while in town for a conference. The first time was for a meet up event and our party had used the back room. I was late attended the event due to air travel so hit the very end and everyone was getting kicked out. I had just ordered a cider as the back room was told to clear out a minute afterwards. If you love sundried tomatoes like I do, they take this sandwich to another level--seriously, dip it in the bisque and OMG. Comfort food perfection! For dessert, my friend had the bread pudding, and I tried the cheesecake crème brûlée. I was a little skeptical since I'm used to the traditional custard-style crème brûlée, but I'm officially a fan! Had lunch here with a couple coworkers and it was pleasantly good, we had the ahi tuna and the giant Bavarian pretzel appetizer, both were delicious and I had the ahi tuna crunchy salad, my coworkers had the jambalaya and the other had a grilled chicken dish that looked really good. Service overall was decent, the only draw back is the music was way to loud, could hardly hear each other while we talked. Had lunch at Yard House located inside the Sheraton in Downtown Denver, where we stayed at during our trip here. Though we entered from the Sheraton's lobby, we had to go to the actual entrance on 16th Street Mall to receive service and get a table. It was a Thursday afternoon so it wasn't too busy, except for a few people here and there attending some kind of forum that was taking place at the hotel. We sat at a booth next to one of the windows, where we were given a food and drink menu to look over. I usually have a beer whenever I'm at Yard House, but I decided to try something different and ordered one of their cocktails. I ordered a Pink Dragon cocktail and my parents both ordered a Tangerine Cream Ale from Station 26 Brewing, which is one of their favorite beers that's brewed in Denver. Our appetizer was a huge plate of chicken nachos, which was topped with jalapeños, diced tomatoes, cilantro, melted cheese, and a dollop of sour cream and avocado. If you order this appetizer, I recommend picking the nachos up with a fork because it can get a little messy! It was big enough for the three of us to share together. For our entrees, I ordered a margherita pizza, my mom ordered an ahi tuna salad, and my dad ordered a chicken salad. It's been a long time since I ordered a pizza from Yard House and it was absolutely delicious. My parents enjoyed their salads, but both were too big for them to finish it. These entrees also paired perfectly with our drinks, and I do regret not ordering the Tangerine Cream Ale, because this is also one of my favorite beers.
