I would call it "upscale international fusion with some American classics." I ordered the Korean Beef Bibimbap and my friend ordered the Cajun Blackened Chicken. The bibimbap was served hot in a stone bowl and I was instructed that I could let it cook longer for crispiness, or mix right away. I chose to wait a bit and was rewarded with indeed a nice crispy bite when I scraped up the rice. Both dishes were satisfyingly filling on their own, real entree sizes. But, I didn't think it was worth the cost of entry, especially with pricy mocktails and $7 sparkling water. It's definitely a place to have a conversation since plates did take a while to come out. Funnily enough I had some colleagues sitting nearby that really raved over the honey glazed tomahawk pork chop. So I'd recommend that for a special occasion, if you've got a bigger wallet than I do. After my previous experience, I was hesitant to come back to Earl's when someone suggested it for lunch last week. We also came here again today for lunch. Both times we were all served really great food!! He had good experience here in the past but hasn't been back in years...the food was okay/good, nothing to write home about but nothing bad either. Our friend had recommended this restaurant and I had made reservations for 6 at 6:45pm for Friday evening, days prior. A small group of us came in for dinner on a weeknight. We made reservations, which is a good thing as they were quite busy when we arrived. Our server, Linda was FABULOUS! Actually, just returned from a couple of weeks in Italy recently and the flavors of this pasta rivaled some of the better pasta dishes I had there! I got it with the add-on of chicken and at Linda's suggestion, I tried it blackened. I didn't think the flavors would work with the Calabrian pasta's sauce, but they totally worked great together! And that chicken was easily the most tender, moist chicken breast I've ever had at a restaurant! Most of the time restaurant's chicken breast add-ons are dry and flavorless, but not this one! My wife got the Shrimp and Scallop Spaghettini and those the pasta and sauce were fabulous, she said the shrimp and scallops were not good at all, they were over-cooked. She didn't complain about this, because she enjoyed the pasta so much and was full from eating just it. They have a nice wine and cocktail list as well and we enjoyed items from it during our stay. Save room for dessert, their Key Lime pie is excellent! It's definitely better than most restaurants I've had it at. It was $23.75 and it was an extra $3.00 for broccolini as my side of which I only received a couple pieces (making it $26.75). We were seated outside and immediately we were given our waters and asked for our summery cocktails. I told our server about a difficult allergy and he came right out with an allergen menu. Unfortunately it did not have my specific allergy so he brought out someone more informed on the menu and ingredients. This waitress or potentially manager was so fantastic and provided insights to the menu, she even let me do free add ons. Unfortunately being outside and all I was stung by a wasp. This was 100% out of anyone's control. Immediately I was helped with this small problem and the female server was so accommodating and helpful. She offered us the entire meal comped. We declined as that was not the restaurants fault. She then offered to comp our drinks to which we accepted. We ordered another assuming these would be comped. Which again we were so grateful! The food came out and it was so light and fresh. I was very happy with my meal. My partner enjoyed his as well but said he would order something else next time. The only thing brining this experience down one star was that neither drinks were comped. We would not expect them to as that is something so out of their control we just probably would not have ordered another round as our bill was very expensive.
