I've tried my fair share of espresso martinis around Denver, and Devil's Drink is easily the best one I've had so far. The balances are always perfect. They aren't overly sweet, especially considering all the fun flavors they have! The espresso flavor came through, and it actually tasted like a well-made cocktail instead of just a sugary coffee drink. It's clear they put thought into getting the flavors right. I've been on a mission to try as many espresso martinis in Denver as I can, and this one is currently at the top of my list. If you're an espresso martini fan, this is definitely one I'd recommend trying. We had the most wonderful night at the Devils Drink. Sophia was a wonderful hostess who checked up on us consistently, even on a busy night. All the possible Espresso Martinis you could imagine and surprising us with a 666 shot for our anniversary was so nice! Also hope they bring the espresso Brûlée back!! It's discreetly marked on the street too, so not a place tourists will just walk by and pop into. The drinks were all so unique and craft, i had the "don't text your ex" and it was delicious!! The Devil's Drink recently relocated to 1553 Platte St. and it's such a vibe. Not only are the cocktails just as good as their old location, but now they have food and it's legit. From deviled eggs to oysters to caviar, everything I tried was a hit. My favorite drink of the night was Santa Maria's Last Prayer (tequila + horchata vibes = dangerous in the best way). It legit tasted like horchata and I could have had 19. Their espresso martini variations and other creative cocktails are reason enough to go back again soon. Such a neat concept for a cocktail bar. I absolutely love this place! The best spot in Denver for espresso martinis. Perfect for girls night! I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time, as this spot gets busy quickly and it isn't a large bar. Despite being so busy, drink times were great. The decor is so fitting and I love the dim lighting. Staff is super friendly! The only potential downside is that you can't pay separately- so if you plan to come with a group of friends, they will tell you that they can't split checks. I thought it was a little ridiculous, but we just Venmo/Apple Pay the person who covered the whole check, so not a huge deal. Just something to be aware of before coming with a group! read more

The biggest thing was because they were busy, it took forever to get our drinks as we joined a big group later. Made a reservation for Halloween to finally check out The Devil's Drink. We came early, before what I am assuming was a rush. First the hostess was so nice it was such a nice welcome. Our server was just ok, he did send me the wrong drink at one point and didn't put an order for a bite that I had ordered and wasn't the friendliest at first. The drinks were good. But, the bites by Naughty Cooking Co. were amazing!! I wish I got a pic of the white fish crudo before I devoured it but it was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The tempura artichokes were amazing as well. I will def be coming back for the bites for sure! Overall I loved the red lighting and the vibe. I look forward to trying it again. read more

That started with the incredible staff, including a couple of solid drinks (Boulevardier, Apple Jack the Ripper) and fries that were elevated for such a simple side. Cool bar and loved the Christmas decorations! Lots of options for espresso martinis which I thought was fun. The cookies and cream espresso martini and the tiramisu espresso martini were both good. I liked the cookies and cream one more. The tiramisu one didn't really taste like tiramisu. It was perfectly cold though. I also tried the peppermint hot chocolate. Wish it was hotter and that there was more peppermint flavor because I couldn't taste any. We got there on Saturday night probably around 9:30. Gotta love a theme. This is a fantastic bar near the Highlands in Denver. Tiny place that may only seat about 25, but can be great for bigger parties if you let them know ahead of time. They are known for their espresso martinis and the variety of names they have come up with based on the masterpiece concoctions is what makes this place unique. I tried the "Killing me Smalls" espresso martini - an homage to The Sandlot and summer smores - quite tasty! I also tried the "But Is It Made With Real Girl Scouts," Wednesday Addams would be proud. Both were made with great detail from the amazing bartender, Michelle. There is a reason this was listed on Westword's 100 Bars for 2025. The entire experience was elevated by the amazing service from Kristi, who was attentive, friendly, and truly made our night special. The bar boasts a super fun goth vibe that's perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit, or just taking a well-deserved break from binging True Blood. While the aesthetic is a bit cleaner than the grungier charm of their previous location (as we've heard), it's still highly stylized with fun signage and great photo ops everywhere you look. Our group of five stopped here on a Friday night and it was fairly quiet, but it's in an off the beaten path location so maybe that's why. The vibe is definitely not something I'm super into but I imagine it appeals to others (dark interior, club-like lighting, random posh coffin for photo ops and death paraphernalia everywhere like skulls). The servers were all very kind and attentive with us and we were served fairly quickly. Reading the reviews after I had been there, we probably should've tried a specialty cocktail. We all ordered off the happy hour menu which was a little pricey for happy hour and didn't have any stellar sounding cocktails - three of us got old fashioneds which were solid but nothing memorable. I'm a little late giving this review. We had a hell of good time at the Devil's Drink on Halloween! The whole vibe was spot-on spooky fun without trying too hard. One of the highlights was the Nightfall Interviews--so engaging and perfectly timed to keep things lively without dragging on. The servers were fantastic, attentive, and added to the experience. This is a great spot for a couples or a group of four to catch a drink together. Probably a little tough for any groups larger than that. The drinks were the real stars, though! The espresso martinis were worth every penny at $16--absolutely delicious and well-crafted. We got a kick out of the $6.66 shots on the menu and, of course, ordered a round. The flat-rate pricing made the choices easy and added to the no-hassle, chill atmosphere. All in all, a great Halloween night out with just the right mix of creepy, funny, and cozy. We visited Devils Drink during the holidays for their pop up bar. The drinks were pretty good, the service was a little slow although it seemed they sweet under staffed. Unfortunately at the end we paid in cash and left, as we were entering our car outside we were accused of not paying. Had a girls night Saturday and saw the devils drink on TikTok and was so excited to try their espresso martini's. We walked in and stood for a few minutes waiting for service to check in for our reservation and didn't get any. So we found an empty table in the back, we sat there for 10 minutes and no one came. I walked to the bar the see if we can order and saw the bartender taking drinks straight from the bottle, so I figured they weren't much of help. I then saw the waitress sitting at another table with a group of people talking and obviously not walking around taking orders, obviously was sitting with friends or something. My friend did snag a seasonal special and now I regret that I didn't catch the name because it was literally a boozy pumpkin spice dream. We really enjoyed both our drinks. And we'll be back! I loved that this spot had speakeasy vibes with all the curtained windows but it wasn't pretentious. We didn't have to provide some password or book way in advance. It was just an unassuming little spot at the bottom of an apartment complex. Now for the service -- We were greeted immediately and I thought that they were really smart to let us know about how they were short staffed, and how there would be a private party.
