It's discreetly marked on the street too, so not a place tourists will just walk by and pop into. The drinks were all so unique and craft, i had the "don't text your ex" and it was delicious!! The Devil's Drink recently relocated to 1553 Platte St. and it's such a vibe. Not only are the cocktails just as good as their old location, but now they have food and it's legit. From deviled eggs to oysters to caviar, everything I tried was a hit. My favorite drink of the night was Santa Maria's Last Prayer (tequila + horchata vibes = dangerous in the best way). It legit tasted like horchata and I could have had 19. Their espresso martini variations and other creative cocktails are reason enough to go back again soon. Such a neat concept for a cocktail bar. I absolutely love this place! The best spot in Denver for espresso martinis. Perfect for girls night! I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time, as this spot gets busy quickly and it isn't a large bar. Despite being so busy, drink times were great. The decor is so fitting and I love the dim lighting. Staff is super friendly! The only potential downside is that you can't pay separately- so if you plan to come with a group of friends, they will tell you that they can't split checks. I thought it was a little ridiculous, but we just Venmo/Apple Pay the person who covered the whole check, so not a huge deal. Just something to be aware of before coming with a group! read more

The Devil's Drink has new digs! Larger space to accommodate more people. I did like the old place, but I do get the need to expand. They still have the same fun espresso Martini cocktails, the same fantastic bartender. They are moving the decor over with neon signs and transitioning to a holiday theme, since it is December. That started with the incredible staff, including a couple of solid drinks (Boulevardier, Apple Jack the Ripper) and fries that were elevated for such a simple side. The biggest thing was because they were busy, it took forever to get our drinks as we joined a big group later. Made a reservation for Halloween to finally check out The Devil's Drink. We came early, before what I am assuming was a rush. First the hostess was so nice it was such a nice welcome. Our server was just ok, he did send me the wrong drink at one point and didn't put an order for a bite that I had ordered and wasn't the friendliest at first. The drinks were good. But, the bites by Naughty Cooking Co. were amazing!! I wish I got a pic of the white fish crudo before I devoured it but it was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I liked the cookies and cream one more. The tiramisu one didn't really taste like tiramisu. It was perfectly cold though. I also tried the peppermint hot chocolate. Wish it was hotter and that there was more peppermint flavor because I couldn't taste any. We got there on Saturday night probably around 9:30. Found this spot to celebrate a 21st birthday during the week. A neat little neighborhood treasure! Walking in, it is very dark (but nice and cool) and lit with red accents. Gotta love a theme. This is a fantastic bar near the Highlands in Denver. Tiny place that may only seat about 25, but can be great for bigger parties if you let them know ahead of time. They are known for their espresso martinis and the variety of names they have come up with based on the masterpiece concoctions is what makes this place unique. I tried the "Killing me Smalls" espresso martini - an homage to The Sandlot and summer smores - quite tasty! I also tried the "But Is It Made With Real Girl Scouts," Wednesday Addams would be proud. Both were made with great detail from the amazing bartender, Michelle. There is a reason this was listed on Westword's 100 Bars for 2025. The Devil's Drink is an absolute must-visit destination in Denver. We had an incredible time and can't recommend this place enough! The entire experience was elevated by the amazing service from Kristi, who was attentive, friendly, and truly made our night special. The bar boasts a super fun goth vibe that's perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit, or just taking a well-deserved break from binging True Blood. While the aesthetic is a bit cleaner than the grungier charm of their previous location (as we've heard), it's still highly stylized with fun signage and great photo ops everywhere you look. Most importantly, the drinks were delicious. They clearly know how to mix a cocktail here. We highly encourage the "666 Shots"--they are fantastic and a perfect fit for the bar's theme! The vibe is definitely not something I'm super into but I imagine it appeals to others (dark interior, club-like lighting, random posh coffin for photo ops and death paraphernalia everywhere like skulls). I'm a little late giving this review. We had a hell of good time at the Devil's Drink on Halloween! The whole vibe was spot-on spooky fun without trying too hard. One of the highlights was the Nightfall Interviews--so engaging and perfectly timed to keep things lively without dragging on. The servers were fantastic, attentive, and added to the experience. This is a great spot for a couples or a group of four to catch a drink together. Probably a little tough for any groups larger than that. The drinks were the real stars, though! The espresso martinis were worth every penny at $16--absolutely delicious and well-crafted. We got a kick out of the $6.66 shots on the menu and, of course, ordered a round. The flat-rate pricing made the choices easy and added to the no-hassle, chill atmosphere. All in all, a great Halloween night out with just the right mix of creepy, funny, and cozy. We visited Devils Drink during the holidays for their pop up bar. The drinks were pretty good, the service was a little slow although it seemed they sweet under staffed. Unfortunately at the end we paid in cash and left, as we were entering our car outside we were accused of not paying. Had a girls night Saturday and saw the devils drink on TikTok and was so excited to try their espresso martini's. We walked in and stood for a few minutes waiting for service to check in for our reservation and didn't get any. So we found an empty table in the back, we sat there for 10 minutes and no one came. I walked to the bar the see if we can order and saw the bartender taking drinks straight from the bottle, so I figured they weren't much of help. I then saw the waitress sitting at another table with a group of people talking and obviously not walking around taking orders, obviously was sitting with friends or something. My friend did snag a seasonal special and now I regret that I didn't catch the name because it was literally a boozy pumpkin spice dream. We really enjoyed both our drinks. And we'll be back! I loved that this spot had speakeasy vibes with all the curtained windows but it wasn't pretentious. We didn't have to provide some password or book way in advance. It was just an unassuming little spot at the bottom of an apartment complex. Now for the service -- We were greeted immediately and I thought that they were really smart to let us know about how they were short staffed, and how there would be a private party. To which I replied "Us?? Yes we did!" remembering how annoyed I was that 20% gratuity was automatically included with our $100 bill considering we had awful service all night. I would have no issue tipping my server but after our Saturday 6:30pm reservation wasn't honored because of a "tech issue" that affected 4 other groups as well, we were sat in the pool room. This room obviously doesn't have the same ambiance as the main bar room we wanted to sit in, our drinks took 25 minutes to come out to us, and the staff tried to charge us twice for pool, once included in the bill we paid, and then again when my friend finally found the employee who had her ID as collateral for the game of pool. After all that, we definitely would not have tipped 20%. We were already leaving in an annoyed mood when the hostess yelled at us, ironically with Halloween face makeup of a clown, and when we rebutted she said she was going to check with the server. We waited about 15 seconds for her to come back outside to tell us she was wrong...but she didn't. Instead my group had to walk back into the building to find her at the hostess stand again acting as if nothing happened. She quickly tried to excuse herself of the scene she caused by saying we were the wrong group and she got us mixed up. To that I say DO BETTER DEVIL'S DRINK and your clown of a hostess.
