Great bar! Came solo to grab a drink and defrost from the weather lol. Love the ambiance. Friendly staff , drinks are on par and it's a nice little vibe inside.

One of my FAVORITE SPOTS!!! The craft cocktails , to dieeee for!!! You walk back in time to like the prohibition era, loved the vibe of the place. The bartenders are experts at their craft !!! Every freaking cocktail was done to perfection. The service, SUPERB!!! Yes , yes, yes.... Obsessed with this place !!!

Such a great bar with a hip vibe! It's small and crowded but that's because the drinks are highly creative and perfectly crafted. I had a whiskey mint julep, my friends had a gin fizz & oops I forgot the name but it was delicious. I loved mine, very whisky forward, the gin fizz has this delightful foam. Best Gin Fizz I have ever tasted. Excellent service and a great choice for a fun drink!

I found my perfect nightcap in Denver- time to shake and stir! The history and the spirit of the truly crafted cocktail are celebrated here. Do take time to enjoy the menu and learn about how every useful American invention somehow got implemented into the cocktail. I had the bijou, which was a very happy marriage of gin, orange bitters, herbal liquor and vermouth. Service was excellent, and watching barkeep Hayden was like a magic show! The scene got to be pretty poppin late on a Tuesday night, so I'd recommend to embrace the fine art of day drinking and come here earlier in the day, if you really want to "speak easy"

Union Lodge is a fantastic cocktail bar with rich history. The bartender explained much of it during our visit. I was HIGHLY impressed by the skill and creativity of the mixologist (forgot his name). Each cocktail was crafted beautifully and was inviting. Indoors is an industrial vibe mixed with rustic. It's a cozy place, but we managed to snag a seat at the bar. If you're in Denver, you absolutely must check it out!

This place is incredible, truly an experience of a lifetime. We were served by Micah and Josiah tonight, they have definitely mastered their craft. My friend and I visited on a Monday night, it was busy but not too busy. The service was attentive and precise, the drinks were PHENOMENAL. I had classic drinks (which is what they specialize in), both the Old Fashioned and Mint Julep. The techniques that they use to craft your drinks allow for the authenticity in taste. The Old Fashioned was poignant and not too sweet, after the first few sips you're longing for more! Highly recommend this bar not only for the drinks but the ambiance. The music, lighting, experience is truly once in a lifetime. 10/10 recommend!

    Gin fizz, Manhattan

The drinks are over the top delicious and every one of them is made with care and precision. I've been coming here for years and never had a bad cocktail! Had the gin fizz (tastes like key lime pie if you're feeling desserty), and a perfect Manhattan. Love love love!

    Red, White & Blue Blazer!

Micah is a fantastic craft cocktail bartender who knows his stuff inside out. He genuinely cares about the details behind what he's making. It's really rare to find someone like him!! If you're visiting and want a proper craft cocktail experience, definitely check it out!!

We were walking around the downtown Denver area and stumbled upon this cocktail bar. Very fancy and the bartenders were amazing. The drinks were one of a kind and very upscale. We stayed for one beverage, but it was quite an experience. If you are looking for a quaint bar with excellent service, please try this place. Would love to return again.

All-around 10/10 experience. Was here 12/6- the drinks were phenomenal and the bartender was a true artist. For sure a weird location downtown but worth the journey.

    Mocktail!
    Ariel C.

Astounding flavors! Came on a random weekday night and was really glad to be able to get a spot. It wasn't too crowded and the bartender wasn't overly inundated. I asked for 2 different kinds of mocktails and the bartender came through! Got a traditional fruity one, tasted like pineapple and coconut and everything a tiki bar would serve. Then I asked for a floral one. And I was so pleasantly surprised! A lot of mocktails taste bitter or disappointing but not here! My husband got something off their seasonal menu and was super pleased with his drink. You can also order off the menu, as many people did and the bartender will make it delicious. Decor in here is astoundingly cool. Historic flag, antique cash register, the entire vibe was so amazing for a cocktail bar. 100% recommend if you're downtown, looking for a night with delicious drinks, or just in the area of the opera house.

    Ally C.

Such a fun place! The bartenders put on a good show when they're making the fancy drinks. It's a small space & gets hot fast. Drinks were good. Average pricing for Denver.

Do you have an Happy Hour?

No mention of Happy Hour that I can see but that should not determine if you visit here. Cocktails are worth the price.

Are there any nonalcoholic options, particularly mocktails etc?

Not on the menu like our sister bar Tatarian, however we love making NA bartender's choices and have extensive ingredients to keep them coming.

Do they accept reservations or walk in only?

We operate as a first come first serve bar. During peak hours there may be a short wait but, we try to keep the line moving as fast as possible. We hope to see you soon Jasmine.

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Cozy spot for some classy bites and cocktails. I think I probably got off on the wrong foot when I asked for sparkling water instead of flat and found out it was $7 per personal mini bottle (and they don't have club soda). My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.
