I came here with cousin after Summer Dog Days and really enjoyed it! You have to go down the stairs to get to the bar and it's super dark inside (very speakeasy-vibes). The interior decor is awesome though, lots of tall and cool-looking exotic plants. And the bathroom (very clean btw) is easy to miss but keep an eye on the red carpet and it'll take you there. When we got to the bartender, she let us know that the rotating menu was just about to get swapped out. My cousin ordered one, and then I told her to surprise me. I wanted something with absinthe. Our drinks were absolutely delicious, and although we came during the afternoon, I can totally see it being a popping vibe in the evening.
This bar has caught my eye many times as I walked around Laver Street, there's always music bumping, and you can see the neon life leading you downstairs, underground, enticing. I grabbed some dinner next-door and decided to pop in and see what it looks like. The vibe was great, several rooms with the swampy decor and atmosphere, the menu is seasonal, and the cocktails are constantly changing, I can't remember which one I tried, but it was good, I recall it not being exactly what I expected but good. It was a Friday night around eight and was starting to get busy, when I turned around there was 10 people in line at the bar. Seating is plenty full, but since the bar was packed, it was limited, but we were able to rearrange some chairs and make a little space for ourselves. Definitely a good place to stop with friends on the way to something else, maybe not somewhere I'd spend the whole night as the cocktails are a little pricey for that and it starts and noisy, but definitely a smooth vibe
**DRINK HERE**We stumbled upon this bar while walking down the street. It had a mysterious but intriguing neon, "cocktails", sign above their basement door. It is located under Larimer Square below street level. Upon walking in we were floored at how cute it was, Its giving Tiki Bar underground, lounge. There were so many cute tucked away places to sit. It had a secret vibe to it. Kind of like a Speakeasy. The bartenders were so nice and cared alot about our satisfaction which you dont get at places like this. The music was seriously ridiculously loud in one section but we had plenty of choices to sit away from the music. The lighting is soo vibey and lounge like with colorful up lighting. You feel like you are inside of a Disney ride. There is a cute little photo booth too. The speciality drink cocktail menu is vast but you can always get whatever drink you want. We didnt order food but they do have late night bites available. The dress is a wide range from totally casual to dressy.
We found this place while waiting to eat next door, it is a cute little speakeasy vibe. We were greeted immediately when we walked in with a friendly bartender. The vibe in the bar is really cute and welcoming. Reminds me of a jungle room. We were lucky enough to be here for happy hour. Their drinks were fast and delicious. If you are looking for something chill with a fun cozy vibe and good drinks then this is your place. We will be back.
Emerald Eye is a cute cocktail bar located in Larimer Square. You take a staircase down to this cool and sleek spot. Its motif is an eye and can be found all over. I ordered a Mangonada and it was delicious. The bartender was nice and vibe was great. Loved the quick drink here for their happy hour.
We came in between Christmas and New Year's on a Friday night. So the crowd was thin. They had one of the rooms shut off. So it was a small venue on this night. We ended up paying for the little booth photos twice and we didn't fully fit in the frame of the photos so they were probably the worst photos we've taken in a booth, our entire relationship, but funny nonetheless. One of the bartenders was pretty legalistic and wanted to be a little snarky about ordering at the bar where to sit what we could and could not do. Another bartender actually took our order and opened our tab. We sat down and checked out the crowd. The music was great. We enjoyed the vibe. The cocktails were delicious. No complaints There. The door guy was very hospitable. I would go back. I'll probably try it after the holidays.
Our server was very fun, he did some flipping of bottles and talked about the methods behind the art, and was very steadfast about the issues that he had. I loved the interior, with its jungle feel. My favorite drink was the clarified punch, which our bar tender nicely explained the background of, and the flavor was great. Highly recommend.
Cute cocktail bar! Came here after dinner on a girls night and it was so cozy and vibey. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. If you like an espresso martini or a cold brew and want a drink with a similar taste but with a little twist to it, I would definitely recommend the Carajillo. It is very good and will hit all of the tastebuds.
We were wandering down Larimer street and we were planning to grab a Lyft at the end of the road. Before we ordered it, we saw a red neon sign that read "cocktail lounge". We headed towards it and decided to walk down the stairway with the mint green painted walls. I'm so glad we did. I had the clarified punch and it was one of the best cocktails I've had recently. So delicious. The other cocktail we tried was also good even thought I don't like mescal as much as other spirits, it was still well balanced. My partner said he enjoyed it. Service was attentive and swift. This place had a really chill, tropical vibe with beautiful mood lighting. I very much enjoyed relaxing over a delicious drink in the Emerald Eye lounge and will definitely go back to try other cocktails next time we are in Denver.
This place was very dark, I could barely find my ID to show the bouncer. The staff seemed nice and helpful when we were looking for a place to sit. For the first round we did a Prosecco and an old fashioned. Prices were on the cheaper side for a cocktail bar ($25 total) and I would say the quality matched. The second round I switched from Prosecco to a mocktail. I appreciated the options they had for that as some places don't have any on the menu. We might go back. I like the location and its proximity to sports venues / restaurants
Hidden gem! This place is so cool - their drinks are top notch, such a great variety of cocktails. We loved our drinks, so good. Our friends joined us later and they got the mangonadas and that was so good too. Service was great! Ambiance is lovely and I highly recommend.
A new (to me) fav cocktail bar! Underground and located inside a former prohibition bar, this place is such a good spot for a date or girls night. Great music and drinks. Bartenders were amazing too! I will definitely be back

A bartender from another business recommended this spot to us as one of their favorites. It did not disappoint! Located in Larimer Square downstairs you will find this tropical-themed bar that is going for an oasis feeling. Could be easy to miss if you aren't looking, although during our visit they had a sign out on the sidewalk so not completely speakeasy. They had a good amount of plants, good music playing and just chill and inviting vibes overall. Bartender greeted us right away despite being busy making drinks. Mentioning we could sit anywhere then coming up to order. They have the bar area with some seating in that room as well as additional seating in another area to the side too. By far one of the nicer bartenders we encountered, with who we had a great chat with. On top of that the bartender threw in some flair with his drink making throwing the shakers and such, turning it into more of a show. My wife got their Woah Blackberry, gin based fruit forward drink with great flavor. I got the Spicy Margarita that brought just the right amount of heat to it! Expertly crafted drinks in a tropical vibe that can be a perfect spot for that first drink of the night or as your nightcap drink, either works! Check it out. read more

The vibes and decor here are great, feels like being at a cocktail lounge in the rain forest. The bartender that served me had great showmanship and was clearly very passionate about putting on a show! I had the spicy margarita and it was delicious. read more

Started our night off here and wished we could have stayed longer! This place has such a cool feel, the dark tiki aesthetic with the jungle vibes is on point. Staff was quick to greet us, attentive and happy to offer suggestions. The cocktails we ordered were amazing - very flavorful and perfect for sipping. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Just happened to walk by this bar and saw the foliage and the cocktails sign... friends, this is the CUTEST basement bar. Such great vibes and music. Staff were so kind! The pumpkin cocktail was a basic b*tch's dream. I absolutely love this place. read more
Found this little gem after going to dinner. This small bar is underground with a cool atmosphere. There are two entrances, one off of 14th and the other off of Larimer. There is a Caribbean vibe with palm tree wallpaper and murals of palm fronds with eyes. Friendly service of bartenders that double as wait staff. Happy Hour is generous with hours daily 4-7pm. I have been wanting to try a carajillo cocktail and the one at the Emerald Eye was masterfully done. A perfect blend of cold brew, Licor 43, and brandy. This gem will be celebrating it's one year anniversary in July. read more

Good vibes ONLY. No, seriously. The vibes are great. The service is leaving much to be desired. With no servers, you're forced to stand in line at the bar for, at one point, over TWENTY MINUTES! Tables were left unbussed for extended amounts of time as well. The drinks were pretty good. But the service won't have us coming back unless something changes. read more

Chill music, ambiance all the way, tropical and unique drinks all combine to make a one of a kind bar that cannot be missed (you just have to look for the entrance ). Our server next door recommended this place. We walked in and initially thought it looked great. There are no servers, order at the bar, which is fine, but took about 20 minutes of standing to get a drink. All the prices on the menu are approx $15, wine is just "wine" $9, no wine list, also fine, it's not a wine bar....but, we ordered 2 martinis, the bill was $60, $30 each?? $70 for 2 drinks with tips, also MAYBE understandable if this was a high end establishment, but when your wine list is "Wine - Red, White, Rosé $9" and provide no servers, yet you charge $30 for a martini there is a disconnect, the worst part, the martini wasn't even very good. Had I just had a $9 I probably would have thought the place was amazing. We left feeling totally scammed. read more
Emerald Eye is definitely a spot you need to keep your eye on! I was lucky enough to attend the soft opening and enjoyed every bit of this spot. Being right in Larimer Square, this location is perfect for your night out. When you walk in you walk down a set of stairs into the space, you're immediately welcomed into a different space. The decor was perfect with the furniture and paintings. Bartenders were really nice and welcoming. I love being able to hold conversations with bartenders while watching them do their craft. Drinks were great! We got to try a few drinks. My favorite was the 'thelema' Emerald Eye offers a lot of different style drinks with what's going to be an awesome timed happy hour. Perfect happy hour spot if you're headed out to a show or an event with timing. 6-8pm on weekdays Excited for the full opening!! read more

This place is a trick to find. Not a speakeasy, per say but easy to miss. It's downstairs under a lit up leaf sign in Larimer Square. (If you are a local, you may remember an old jazz club here.) It's a super fun decor inside. Giving upscale dark jungle, voodoo, safari-mystery, Caribbean vibes. Cocktails are $15, which feels steep but they are unique, expertly made and delicious. Bar service is quick. There weren't many guests on a Saturday night around 10:30-11pm to our surprise. But the tables of people there, were having a great time. This is a good spot for an after dinner cocktail, a birthday celebration, or date night. We will definitely be back! read more

The inside is aesthetically very nice and the drinks are good (I got a Whoa Blackberry), but ordering here is a mess. Lots of beautiful & fun seating, but you can only order at the bar & it isn't clear where you should order. At any given time there was about 20 people hovering all along the bar. For a second round of drinks, my husband was up there for more than 10 minutes just to order! There's no line so anyone can sneak ahead, but then the bartenders can't take other orders because they're too busy making all the drinks. Not placing the blame on them, but the "only order at the bar" system I think really hurts this place. We spent way longer in here than intended just because we were waiting to order. I got a Manhattan the 2nd time and it was... Not good. I didn't see, but my husband came back saying the bartenders kept dropping glasses, shakers, and fruit. Might have been a bad night for them with the clumsiness but it also contributed to long wait times. This place has the potential to be very fun to return too but it was missing the mark tonight. read more
I am here on a Friday at 10pm. There are approx 20 people here, the DJ is decent but not really setting much of a mood bc nobody is dancing. But the real kicker is that it took over 15 mins to get a drink at an empty bar. The lights aren't even dim and it's not loud and I ordered a simple drink to try to make it easy on the bartender, but she brought me the wrong drink, tried to put me on the same tab as the couple next to me, and then said it was on the house bc that was literally horrible service by any standard. read more
