Had coworkers visiting from out of town, so took them to Thirsty Lion because it never disappoints. Had an exceptional lunch as usual, highlighted by our fantastic server Charlotte! read more

Sami was the best server of all time. Good vibes all around, manager was very friendly and helpful.

Food was great, our server Sami was fantastic and was on top of things. overall had a great time

I'm shocked by this place's lower yelp rating, this was my favorite meal I had in Denver! Thirsty Lion is a scratch kitchen, so all of the dishes tasted very fresh. We ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl & mediterranean chopped salad and both were delicious. I loved the varied and unique menu. Even the Teriyaki chicken bowl had a fun twist with mango, apple, and edamame. Portion sizes were generous, healthy entree options were readily available, and the ingredient combinations were creative. I will be thinking about both of these bowls for the foreseeable future. read more

Never heard of this place. Wanted to give it a try so I ordered the Green chili Chicken & Avocado. I don't give 4 starts but hot damn this was fantastic. It was like an orgy of flavor in my mouth. In a good way so don't take that as a knock on this food.. There was so much flavor. The green chilli was excellent and hit the spot. The sourdough was crunchy and a little chewy. Everything was amazing. I would like to try something else next time but I think it might be hard. Heat 2/5 but remember I live a saucy sandwich and my heat scale is probably higher than your tolerance. Give this sandwich a try!! read more

Terrific visit to Thirsty Lion in Denver last week. We were in town from Oregon for a bucket list check off...Red Rocks. It was tremendous by the way. Whitney was our server and she was timely and so efficient. The food was also perfect. We had the Artichoke and Spinach Dip and the Cheese Curds as appetizers. I also had the Reuben and it was all prepared excellently. When I come back the area, I will definitely return to the Thirsty Lion. read more

I can't knock the Thirsty Lion, the food is pretty good here for being such a commercialized establishment, especially! They do also have a happy hour, but the prices are just moderately happy, I'd call it. The Gochujang bbq pork rice is probably the best thing I've had here. And I like their classic bloody mary pretty well. I'm not typically a dessert person, but last visit it was so hot and I wanted something that hit the spot. But, the whiskey apple dessert didn't hit it for me. There was not enough ice cream--it needs a lot more to be able to eat with the apples. The dessert itself was just ok, the flavor could've been better, the crumble could've been better or more of a crust maybe instead? Idk it just was not a home run and I've had much better apple desserts such as pies and crisps. read more

This place slaps! Been here for brunch, lunch and dinner and always leaving feeling full and happy! Staff is pretty knowledgeable about diet and allergy restrictions and they know a lot about the ingredients that are being used. Highly recommended to check this place out. Bring everyone because this place is casual and upscale all in one. I really enjoy their seasonal menu. read more

Ian is a rock star. Makes the best passion fruit mojito on this side of the Mississippi!

Service was average, food was good, but not that special. Overall, lunch for 3 people: no appetizers, 1 salad, 1 chxn Mac & cheese, and 1 spicy fried chicken sandwich. 1 dessert: burnt chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. $144 tip included. read more

My husband and I both had salmon and the meals were wonderful! Fresh veggies on the side and tasty salmon and rice. Our server Abbi was very attentive, friendly and helpful! Thanks for a great night read more

We came here as it was the meeting spot for our bus to Red Rocks. Service was incredible our service was excellent with timing and explaining the offerings with the bus. Spinach dip was pretty good. Fried chicken was in a jalapeño buttermilk and I was worried about spice but it was very very mild and really good. The mac and cheese was not really a cream sauce it was more just melted cheese with all just cheese pull after cheese pull so was very heavy and just not my preference. Place was very nice, great spot to have a drink and food before you head to concert or home after work. read more

The food was very tasty, the portions are nice and large. The server was kinda absent for most of our time there. The interior is what you'd expect for an upscale sports grill. Nothing out of the ordinary, but the food is good. read more

The food was delicious and Andrea was amazing! Definitely recommend her and this restaurant!

My company hosted a few happy hour networking events here and were generally satisfied. If anyone reading this is thinking of doing the same thing, I would recommend it but they do not have private rooms just FYI. The location really can't be beat. It's in the heart of downtown steps away from Union Station. Again, great for getting people to come to your networking event. The food and drinks are all really tasty and well made. Prices during happy hour are very reasonable and selection during that time is also good with plenty to choose from. To complement the food and drinks, service has always been perfect. Huge kudos to the bartender that helped me the last time I was there. I would come back just to get served by her again. The one downfall I would say about Thirsty Lion is that the appointment booking process was very difficult and convoluted with different people saying different things. read more

Gochujang BBQ Pork and Kimchi Fried Rice (3/5): The fried rice part was good (although the kimchi was very mild) but it was a weird dish because the pork tasted like American style bbq burnt ends. I didn't like the sauce at all. I did appreciate the kitchen being willing to split the dish and plate it separately (for a very small upcharge). RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this) read more

Friendly bar tender. Decent drink specials. This might be unfair, but I am giving this location an average rating as the ambiance is killed by a stiflingly non-inclusive homogeneous group of clientele. Can't say that I felt comfortable here. Very likely a fun spot for those who are regulars. I can't say this bar is anything special, but it is big. read more

Solid food, but the very low IQ bartenders seem more interested in discussing their personal lives behind the bar than actually doing work. Recommendation: sit at a table. read more

The service was really nice and apologetic because it was a busy night. Food did take a long time so I'm happy we didn't go hungry because that wouldn't have been good. Some of us liked our food, some of us didn't. I shared the ribeye and it was not good, one of the worse steaks I've had. It was thin, overcooked, and not fatty for a ribeye. Ambiance we loved because it was playing all the football games. Thirsty lion as a chain is mid in my opinion. read more

Irene was amazing. I can't wait until I'm back in Denver for another visit. Food was so delicious and fresh.

We decided to eat and drink here while waiting for our bus to leave for Red Rocks. We sat at the bar, and were greeted immediately by our bartender who let us know it was happy hour. Definitely recommend: raspberry drop martini, deep fried cheese curds and bacon wrapped shrimp. We didn't have room for dessert so we'll have to stop back next time we're in Denver - super easy, as it's right next to Union Station. read more

We stopped in here ahead of boarding the shuttle for Red Rocks. It honestly has a Yard House vibe but I'm not mad about it. We only had drinks and I appreciate that they had a couple of options - drinks to have for here as well as drinks to take to-go on the shuttle. Service was as quick as they could possibly be and then we were on our way on the shuttles to Red Rocks! read more

Food was excellent! We had burger sliders and the French dip sandwich. Both tasted great and came out as we expected. The food was fresh. Service was great as well. Sadly, I didn't note her name but she was very pleasant and not pushy. Ambiance is nice inside, open, clean and enough lighting to see what we were eating but not so much as to be bright and harsh. We will eat there again on our next visit to Denver. Highly recommend. read more

My wife Marci and I dropped into Thirsty Lion not really knowing what to expect, but we walked out full and happy. I had the cheeseburger--it was pretty damn good, I must say. Marci went for the cheese curds and the fish, London-style. Crunchy, flaky, and fried just right. But the real standout? Chanterelle. She was the kind of server who doesn't just bring your food--she brings the vibe. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. She made us feel welcome from the jump. We'll definitely be back. Might even make it our regular spot. read more

Came here to eat quick before catching our Red Rocks shuttle. A busy night with other concert goers in attendance but Allison made our experience easy by expediting our food quickly. Great food, great service! thanks to Andrea our server - she was awesome. convenient location and nice to sit outside.

Wow. Tried to go here with my husband after a Rockies game. The female bar back refused to serve me and my husband. It's late, but it was only 9:30pm. She was rude. Wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I know we came in when they were busy, but the service was awful. We sat at the bar and we were not even acknowledged. After about 20 minutes we had to flag someone down just to get menus. Our server was not very friendly either. I ordered the Ruben and it was just okay. The meat seemed like it was deli meat and not fresh corned beef . It was so loud in there I couldn't even hear my girlfriend next to me. I really don't think I will be back. read more

52 beers on tap, big appetizer and food selection and plenty of TVs with sports to watch. What's not to like? Happy hour everyday from 10pm-close with some apps at $3.95-$5.95. Our Server Samantha was amazing. She greeted us with a smile and asked if we had been here before. We told her we had not and she proceeded to tell us about the restaurant, what her favorite dish was (Spanish Chilaquiles, which I tried and was delightfully tasty). She made sure our drinks were always full, checked back on us and how we were liking our food more than once and even offered us some To-Go cups for the road.
