Egg breakfast - A breakfast plate featuring scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, roasted diced potatoes, and a slice of toasted bread.

Came back here because the food is the bomb. Service on point , music righteous with flavor. Gets crowded after 10:30am so try to make reservations before coming Food very flavorful and black owned which makes the community heritage even more special. This area has a lot of rich heritage and pride so I will always be coming for breakfast lunch or dinner Thanks staff and ownership

Had breakfast here on a snowy Friday morning and it hit the spot. We didn't have a reservation and it was pretty busy around 10:30am so they said it would be about a 40 minute wait - yikes. We were about to go someplace else, but then the host offered the counter so our group of 4 sat there. Definitely make a reservation as the place is a bit on the smaller side and gets pretty busy. They've got a great menu, with some classics and some southern-inspired dishes. Our group ordered a round of mimosas and Bellinis to start which were good. I had the Welton omelet with a side of sourdough toast and it was delicious. One of the better omelets I've had (loved the roasted peppers). The potatoes were nice and crispy and seasoned well. My husband got the breakfast skillet and we shared a biscuit with gravy. I tried his meal and it was also really good. We ate every last bite. The gravy could have had a bit more flavor but it paired well with the crispy, salty biscuit. Prices are reasonable for Denver and the food is worth it. I'd absolutely come back.

My friend and I were visiting Denver and she suggested we try this place. It was easy to make a reservation (which is a good idea because it's not very big inside). I knew we were in for a treat when I asked the waiter what he recommended and most of the menu was on his list. I decided on the shrimp and grits which I thoroughly enjoyed. If you're super hungry you might like a side with it, but it was enough for me to be satisfied. I tried some of my friend's dad's eggs as well and they were delicious! I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again. Something tells me the rest of the menu wouldn't disappoint.

This place is super cute on the inside and they have all day happy hour drink and food specials on Tuesdays! I love the concept of this restaurant, which is pretty much brunch all day. My friend and I both ordered dishes and drinks off of the happy hour menu, and it ended up being such a great value. I would absolutely recommend if you find yourself in the area.

My bf and I were in town visiting and heard great things about this restaurant for brunch! So happy that we decided to give it a try. Staff were all sweet and welcoming, the vibes were so much fun, the decor was awesome, and food delicious!! It's also in a very walkable area as well, which we loved! They had an area on the menu with a HH with great deals and prices! Food review: Mimosa flights: (3/5) Super strong! The grapefruit wasn't my favorite. The other flavors were tasty and strong! Gave me a good buzz. Haha Beignets: (4.5/5) These were delicious! Soft and airy with powdered sugar! Fried green tomatoes: (5/5) OMG. I was surprised how much I enjoyed these! The dipping sauce was delicious. Steak and eggs: (4/5) Love a simple breakfast. The steak was cooked perfectly and was good portion. Chicken and waffles: (4/5) These were pretty tasty, but portion and very filling.

French toast... AMAZING!! - A plate of French toast garnished with mixed berries, powdered sugar, and syrup, accompanied by whipped cream and a small pitcher of syrup.

This was such a great find! Not only is the name perfect but the inside is so adorably decorated. You walk in and instantly just saw cute! Ben's Mom loved it. I loved the different Mimosa options and of course I got the Coconut. Can't say I am have that flavor before. The menu had so many tasty options that it was difficult to choose but I ended up getting the berry French toast, which could be named something else, can't really remember. But man it was amazing. I am normally the person who never finishes her plate but aside with sharing a bite, I finished it clean. Ben was in shock but it was that good. When in Denver, I will definitely go back!! Thanks for the great meal!

Was in town with some family to hangout and celebrate a couple of birthdays. Decided to stop in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was great! Very welcoming and inviting. The art in the restaurant turns head. This uniquely designed spot gives a nice vibe. The food came out fast and it was GOOD! The shrimp and grits with chicken sausage was amazing. I wasn't too fond of the portion size but I was warned by the waiter. For how good the shrimp and grits were I wanted more. The chicken was cooked to perfection! Waffle was good and soft inside with the crispy edges. I highly recommend trying this place if you're in or around downtown Denver. You will not be disappointed.

An adorable spot for brunch with great menu options. I liked the decor and the food was so good!

Sheesh!!! I was not expecting this food to be this good. We were at Spangalang (GOOD VIBES) for some Sunday shenanigans and we ordered from Mimosas. I had heard mixed reviews but I am one to go and try for myself. THEY did not disappoint I ordered Dads Eggs (probably not the name) and it was so fire! Or as these kids say "Bussin" the waffle was fluffy, the eggs with the hot sauce (chefs kiss) Overall 10/10 recommend !

This is a cute decorated restaurant. They have lemons and black art on the walls. The waiters are very friendly and nice. The food was mostly good. The Crab Benedict was very good and so were the mimosas. My husband's steak was over cooked but everything else was a ok. They do add an extra state fee and when you check out they add a 20% gratuity to your bill...make sure to check the pay screen and add your own tip before you check out or you could stay with the 20%. I would go back they have good food and drinks specials.

Cute and quaint breakfast place in Five Points. A bit crowded but really lovely. Great food and good service, I would recommend making a reservation on weekends because it can get busy. My friend is a vegetarian and found several options that worked for her, and they have a variety of alternative milks for lattes. The oat milk latte was surprisingly solid (I don't always expect a lot for somewhere known more for food!) We split an omelette, some French toast and some beignets. The beignets seemed a bit more dense than I'm used to (reminded me of a brioche donut) but very good! Loved the lemon dipping sauce. The omelette was great, but the French toast was 10/10 my favorite! The servers were attentive, but just enough. Overall I would definitely return.

The neighborhood is transitional, 10 minutes from CBD, but definitely a hot area for restaurants, coffee shops and art. Why is it called Mimosas? That's their speciality, and almost everyone there has one in hand. The breakfast is great, with perfectly poached eggs (hard to find). The interior was a cross between miami south beach and art deco, with several murals. Service was friendly and I kept getting asked about another one? I've added menus so you can gauge the variety of offerings.

We were looking for a hearty meal, and were lucky to have this one within walking distance of our hotel. The food was more than enough, and very tasty! The meals were well served, and flavorful. Our server was amazing! He is there Fridays and Sundays (I'm sure more days but from what we remember) him and the staff were very friendly, and on top of our needs. I recommend the "chingon" and if you like Bloody Marys, they have a great one! The place is big; divided in 2, one side is the restaurant and the other is a bar, with opening seating (if available). Proves are very reasonable. This is a restaurant you must try!

Right in downtown, Sam's No. 3 definitely grabs your attention. Classic diner vibe with a modern twist, busy energy, and a menu that's massive. Seriously--this place has something for everyone, and then some. I came in knowing I had to get back to work, so the legendary "Kitchen Sink" was out (tempting... but no chance I'm surviving that before a meeting ). After going back and forth, I landed on the French Dip. It was good--solid, no complaints--but didn't quite hit that "wow" level I'm always chasing. A little more punch would've helped, and the creamy horseradish definitely should be part of the standard setup--it made a difference. Now my dining partner... he went big. He had the sMacdown Burrito, an oversized burrito loaded with mac & cheese, tots, eggs, and chorizo. He slid me a sample, and I've gotta say--that thing brought the flavor. Bold, fun, and exactly what you'd expect from a place like this. The Verdict: Sam's No. 3 is a fun, high-energy spot with an incredible menu and something for every appetite. My sandwich didn't steal the show, but there's enough here to make me want another run at it. Next time? I'm going all-in on breakfast--because let's be honest, breakfast anytime is never the wrong decision.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.
