    We joined the waitlist at 10:00am before leaving the house and weren't seated until 1:30pm. It's worth noting, there's no estimated wait time. You are instead given a place in line and it ticks down. Other places must turn tables faster or have more seating. Had we known it would be 3 hours, we would have gone elsewhere. On the plus side, you can watch your place in line on the OpenTable app. It lets you walk around so we made the most of it. Walked the neighborhood, grabbed drinks at another bar, and even checked out an open house before coming back. Overall it was a fun morning for our group but we were tired and so hungry by the time we got seated. The food and service were good, but fairly average overall. It felt on par with places like Jelly or Snooze. I'm glad they're doing well but don't be afraid to go elsewhere if the line is crazy. You're not really missing out.

    I appreciate they have a waitlist option but it was very daunting to see that I was close to number 60 on the list around 11 am. It's prime time for brunch so be advised the wait can be quite long. We were very lucky and snagged two seats at the bar which are open seating - there are only 6! The brunch gods were smiling down at us. The menu has some unique and tasty options. We got the passion fruit lemonade (refreshing), an ice coffee with oat milk (they give you the oat milk to add in to your liking), a spritzer type cocktail, an unsmothered burrito, a side of pancakes, a tater tot, and a traditional breakfast. The pancakes were probably my favorite item as they were nice and sweet and fluffy. The staff was quite nice, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy on a great spring day, super busy on a Saturday and I expect the same on a Sunday.

    Cute brunch spot in highlands with a 20% service charge included. I ordered a spring menu special - spicy chicken biscuit, but it was too Asian tasting sweet, and I sent it back. They graciously offered me a replacement, and I ordered the standard breakfast. They removed the charge for the other item. Hated being that guy but they made me feel better about. I also got an iced cereal matcha with lucky charms (Who couldn't like that), and a nice strong passion fruit adult bevvy on the spring menu. Overall, good. I'll be back.

    Everything from the atmosphere, service, and food was incredible! So flavorful with great options to choose from. Tried a variety and loved everything! Such a cute brunch/lunch place! They also have a waitlist you can get on easily online but plenty of seating outside while you wait too. Goes quickly. Will be back for sure!

    Stopped by on a Monday afternoon for our brunch fix and stumbled upon this cute and fun spot. They took time to explain their service fee included concept and their hot sauce wall with so many options. We ended up getting the deconstructed Big Mac omelet with fries and a build your own omelet (only chose to get mushrooms and bacon inside) with a side of potatoes. The Big Mac omelet was flavorful if craving a burger but had to get used to having ground beef with the eggs. Otherwise, loved the concept! The BYO omelet was as a bit underwhelming but I wasn't expecting much from my basic order. I was hoping the potatoes would have more crisp texture on the outside and some more flavor though.

    I can see why this place is popular! The vibes are so chill and I love the hot sauce wall they have where you can just pick out something to try. The coffee was really good and the portion sizes were great. The servers were all really helpful and nice. The peanut butter in the french toast was really gritty. I probably wouldn't get that again but maybe the Big Mac omelette

    Throughly enjoyed brunch at Fox and the Hen! We waited about 20 minutes for a table around 10:00 on a Monday. 20% gratuity is added to your bill. Breakfast burrito: 4.5/5 (recommend getting the sauce on the side so it's easier to eat and doesn't get soggy) Biscuits: 5/5 Chicken sausage: 3.5/5 Fun bright restaurant! Outdoor patio as well. Love the seasonal menu items! Kind server!

    We came at 8:30am on a Saturday and the place was packed! Even with a reservation, we ended up sitting at the community table with a larger party. They were friendly so it was great. The host did give us the option of waiting a little longer. They have a heated patio to extend the space a bit, but it was so cold it wasn't open today. The food was stellar. So impressed with everything- the chef really knows how to play with texture. We did the foxy burrito, which was perfectly spicy and had fried potatoes in it for a little crunch. We tried some of the hot sauces but it really didn't need it. The hot sauce wall with local hot sauces was a great touch though. We also had the pb&j French toast- it tasted more like a pb&j sandwich than French toast, which was good but not quite what I was expecting. I think next time I will try the pumpkin-less spice French toast, the huevos rancheros or the tacos. Other people at the table had them and I want to try them- not because our food was bad (it was excellent) but because there are so many good items on the menu that I want to come back and try them all. I was uber impressed with our coffee as well. We got the "not my gumdrop buttons" latte, which was a gingerbread latte with a little gingerbread cookie. First off, I'm a sucker for a good Shrek reference. Plus the latte was perfection- not too sweet, all the flavors were distinct. Plus it was served in the sweetest cup with a little fox that revealed himself as we drank it. Christine, our server, was upbeat and on it- fabulous service, even while running a 10 top at the same time. Highly highly recommend. Will absolutely be back

    If you like potatoes (and who doesn't?) go here! I loved the apps we had with egg salad on hashbrowns. The the salmon toast was so good. And appreciated that they had sparking rose by the bottle. Make sure you check out their hot sauce wall!

    This place is so cute!!! There always seem to be a long wait, even on the weekdays, but my friends and I managed to get seats inside for brunch. I can't imagine how crazy it gets on the weekend. I ordered the French Toast with a side of bacon. Sooo unique-looking and tasty! Honestly it was a quick visit in the middle of the workday so I couldn't drink but would love to leisurely come here early one day again and try more things on their menu.

    Little hole in the wall that I thought was great. Amazing tasting food paired with great service. Everything was great however although they do let you know up front their will be a 20% automatic gratuity for BOH & FOH fees I thought that was a bit steep knowing at times not everyone is deserving of that. Side note I do give that on a normal basis but to just know it's automatically included when dinning in I thought that was interesting. Besides that everything was great and I for sure would comeback.

    Such a cute brunch spot! Parking can be a little tricky since it's all street parking, but thankfully it's free. Totally worth it once you're inside, you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I'm a big fan of their simple breakfast, and I'm completely obsessed with their hot sauce bar. If you're a hot sauce lover, this place is a must! Service is friendly and efficient, but be prepared, it's almost always packed on weekends. They only take reservations for large parties, so I'd recommend going early to beat the rush. Cozy vibes, great food, and tons of flavor, definitely one of my favorite brunch finds!

    Well, I have visited this restaurant 3 times. All 3 times have been for a holiday brunch or…read moredinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

    During the last few Denver Restaurant Week events, I've tried to take the offerings as an…read moreopportunity to sample restaurants that I haven't tried, or otherwise may not try, and see if I can add to my list of favorites. I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.
