They have great breakfast drinks, I had a blackberry mimosa and hubby did the morning margarita and we both enjoyed those. They have a small but distinguished menu and the food was super fresh. This is a great place to grab some brunch before heading to Bruz for a craft beer. The food here is fantastic! It's pricey for breakfast food, but very delicious. The Chicken Fried Chicken and the Biscuit were especially good. There's not usually any available street parking. But, there is a free parking lot behind the restaurant. That is usually pretty full, too, but we have always been able to find a spot. read more

-Celiac- Gluten-free review- Early Bird!! You did that. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, everything was A1 son. The vibe is cozy and local, and every interaction we had with staff was friendly and warm. The drip coffee was sooooooo good. I could have put an entire carafe away on flavor alone. The cocktail menu had some unique drinks on it, didn't partake during this visit but definitely would try them on a future visit. The owner's daughter has celiac disease, so they take great precautions with cross-contact and most of the menu can be made gluten free. No pancakes or biscuits, but the fryer is dedicated and they have a dedicated waffle maker. I got the chicken fried chicken and my wife got the chicken and waffles. Yall. YALL. YALLLLLLLLLLL!!! Where tf do I even begin. Chicken was perfectly crispy and tender tender. I could bathe in that white gravy and die happy. Potatoes cooked perfectly. Gf bread toasted perfectly. Arugula fresh. Shishito pepper perfectly charred. Idk what yall use for hot sauce, but that joint was GOOD. And I know this is a small footnote, but this plate also came with tomato. When eating out and there's a veggie 'garnish' it's typically served some nothing-burger, tasteless, it's just there for a pop of color tomato. But even the tomato on this plate was so subtly good. And that tells me a lottttt about the kitchen here. When you care about every detail, it shows, and this plate was a home run for me. One of the best breakfasts I've had out to eat hands down. I cleaned that plate. My wife's chicken and waffles were incredibly good. The waffles were thick, but crispy and soft in all the right spots, and the flavor was so good that they could stand completely by themselves- no butter, no syrup, no nothiiiing. Hers came with a small trough of that sweet ass white gravy that basically rendered her side of syrup useless. We have syrup at home! Her chicken was perfectly cooked as well. We didn't want for water or coffee refills at all. I believe our server's name was Ashley and she was on it. Beverage: large in size, tasty lattes, but I do not recommend the Chai. Service: expect a more European experience - slower than you'd expect. We were day and it took about 10 minutes for our server to come take drink orders, another 15 or so until he was back to take our food orders. I get that this may be to allow the kitchen to keep up with pacing but it's something we noticed on both visits. Getting our check was challenging as well - we had to ask someone other than our server. Environment: noisy! And the doors open frequently, without any buffer from chilly air. Lots of unique menu options, I went with the egg stir and my partner had the la jefa. Many lovely flavors - the crispy brussel sprouts with toasty chickpeas in a delicious dressing and the bacon-wrapped dates were highlights amidst the fresh avocado, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, and generous helpings of rice and quinoa. They have an outside area for warmer days, a small bar area that is cool, some nice merchandise, and fun dance music in the background. I was between the La Jefa and Landmark and got the La Jefa. Unique and delicious. Waffles, corn, egg, etc. I decided to not do the maple syrup and chose their house made hot sauce and Hollandaise instead. Liked my choice, but I am sure the syrup would have been legit too. Wife had an Orange Julius drink that was tasty and I had a Session draft. They have a happy hour where everything is $5 on alcoholic drinks that is worth checking out. It is in the passbook and that is why we checked it out. We will be back, and I will make sure to get the delicious looking Landmark omelette. They get a 4 in my book for one reason. Every single drink was the same price at $9.75. No separation. This is the neighborhood breakfast cafe that I dream of being able to walk to from my home on a weekend morning. I was surprised that there wasn't a wait and we were seated immediately at a high-top near the door. Inside, it's a "farmhouse chic vibe"; the staff was welcoming and chatty, perfect for our relaxed mood. We started with coffee and smoothies -- and the smoothies came in plastic to-go cups, which I found a little strange, but then I saved half my smoothy for the ride home... so #winner! I wanted something simple that included their fabled potatoes, so I got Eggs Your Way, over medium, and OMG, those potatoes are something else! My wife and I were looking for a place to have breakfast and having started our day a little later than usual, we knew the usual local metro haunts would be filled to the gills with patrons and long wait lists, so we went outside of our usual zone and ended up at Early Bird - Midtown. I'm glad we did as the ambience was right, the staff friendly and attentive and the food quite good. Eggs cooked well and potatoes, mmmmm. We were sat right away at a table near the host station but weren't once disturbed by the incoming or outgoing traffic. The place seems to be steady but we didn't notice a back up or crazy line at any point that we were there. Would we return? If we're ever running late and want a good sit down restaurant without a crazy wait, we most certainly will! read more

Took about 30-40 minutes to get food, even though restaurant was empty. Server brought the food, and never checked back in, not even to refill drinks or ask how our meal was. Finally after about 20 minutes of waiting for someone to come by, the hostess drops off the check, says nothing, and doesn't even clear dishes or refill drinks.
