Very cute boutique vibe restaurant with cute tabling space upstairs too. We were very fortunate to have seated upstairs. A bit tight space but super adorable dining experience. We tried blue butterfly bloom and snickersdoodles latte for drinks to start our brunch and bison hash & chicken fried eggs and shrimp & grits for our brunch. It was pretty delicious and service was pretty good.

As a girl from the south, I am always a little skeptical when I see a menu boasting southern cuisine. This was a pleasant surprise! The food was good, I enjoyed the breakfast poboy. I will say the gravy was a little too salty for my taste. I got a side of pimento cheese to go on my sandwich and that really was a delish pairing. Our server was incredibly friendly. I will def be back soon to try more of the menu!

Fresh Fruit, Granola, & Yogurt Parfait and excellent sausage.

This is a great place for brunch. Menu items were very creative. Fried green tomatoes eggs benedict. Crabcake eggs benedict with blackened shrimp. Lavander latte. Homemade sausage. Fresh made biegnets. All great. Service was friendly and attentive.

This place has a great vibe, especially sitting out in the patio. Maybe the best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten! Also liked the fried eggs, though not the corned beef hash that came with it. Their lemonade drinks were sweet and delicious, tho maybe too sweet. Regular beignets were okay. Decor was very cool and on point. Overall a great place!

This place was super cute! It reminds me of eating at my grandma's house. I like the decor and the vibes here. The service here was also super good! It was quick and super friendly. The food was also good! The only thing is that its on the more expensive side. Everything was pretty yummy, the fried pickles were super tart with a strong pickle flavor. The bison hash was interesting, but the texture was not the best in my opinion. The green tomatoe benedict was good too!

Wow wow wow!! Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere! Get there early because there is always a wait but it is sooooo worth it! If you go on a Sunday, there is a farmers market right out front that you can walk around while you wait. :) The stroganoff Mac and cheese is my favorite and you need to start off with the beignets

Sassafras is a cute brunch restaurant that is in an old home. The decor is very homey and warm with festive decorations. The wait staff were very friendly and gave great recommendations. I tried the fried green tomato's, crab Benedict, and chicken pimento biscuit. Everything was very tasty! I definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some Louisiana brunch.

OMG we wanted to get everything on the menu!! Amazing drink menu as well. So many Bloody Mary options. Service was fantastic. The restaurant is an old house and super cute! Highlight is the Shrimp and Grits! One of the best I've ever had! The sausage gravy is fantastic. The crab cake Benedict is awesome. The deviled eggs were good but I would say they are over the top. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

I want to be so for real with you- the last time we were here a couple years ago we gushed over the food and everything about it. I was less impressed this time. I came with the same friend with a gluten allergy, who lives and dies by the online menu. The menu in front of us was different than the menu online, which threw us both for a loop. She managed, but you go through the effort of reprinting menus, don't forget to post it online. I had the bison Benedict and the beignets. Both were nicely cooked and tasty, although the beignets had a ton of powdered sugar on them and were a bit messy. The bison was very tender. My friend didn't care for the sweet potato hash that came with the country breakfast, as it had sweetness added to it, and she prefers the natural sweetness of the sweet potatoes. The interior is always cute, although this time we were in an interior room with a minimum of light. The decor was adorable as always though! Still enjoyed our time and the service and coffee was great! Might go back to our original menu items or try something new though

I go out of my way, to visit this place and I live in California. This has and likely always will be, my favorite breakfast place ever. The food is absolutely fantastic, southern creole / New Orleans style cooking to perfection. The staff is friendly, the vibes are amazing. You're always greeted with faces that seem to genuinely want to and care to ensure you have a great dining experience. Situated in two historic buildings/ homes, which are a historic landmark, this place has a level of charm, charism and character you just don't get with new construction. I will continue to go out of my way, to get out here just for this spot as often as possible. If you do anything while in Denver, make sure it's come here for the best breakfast or brunch of your life.

I'd eat a whole Gooey Butter cake every day of the week. Big Dill was a little sweeter than expected but I'd order it again. Sazerac and sangria hit the spot. Pork belly was a great mov

This place is really cute. We were able to be seated right away as a party of 3, and our server came right over to start assisting. I had the catfish and grits, everything was so well seasoned and tasty. I tried a piece of the crab benny and it was really good. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits but could only eat a few bites. They add some sort of vinegar that completely throws the taste off. Instead of taking it off our check, we got $4 off. The plain grits, yes, shrimp & grits, no!

Stopped in for breakfast on the fourth and I'm surprised I haven't been here before. Amazing food and drinks! Great service with GF options for our friends. I loved the interior of the restaurant the most being in an older house had a unique feeling to the experience like you were in someone's home for a meal. Nothing disappointing here and I can't wait to go back

Found this location listed in the Michelin guide and thought... let's try it out? On the third story it's not your average restaurant set up... we were seated next to the kitchen where we got to see the magic! Johny was our waiter who was absolutely killing it! He and his whole staff were engaged, checking in, and even the chefs were bringing us our plates right to our table! Absolutely just one of the best experiences as we order the "Walk With Us" for 2. Walk with us: 5/5 Banchan style servings or tapas as I'm so used to... are ways of giving you the chefs vision of a story they want to paint with food. A taste so unique that I will say... only gets better as you keep going down this experience. Starters throughout the experience have so much flavor and textures that complement each other. The entrees... they get so much better.... Short rib Wagyu galbi that's so scrumptious and a Korean fried chicken that's crispy as can be with a perfectly cooked chicken through and through that's moist and just the perfect definition of a k-fried chicken! I would say my top 3 favorite bites would be: 1. Shaken rice 2. Oyster mushrooms 3. Entree meet: (chicken & beef) tied The chef who brought us the shaken rice explained the meaning behind the dish and what was in it... the back story is so wholesome and unique that it leaves you heartfelt and just happy to be sharing this experience. The oyster mushrooms have so much flavor... you would need to have them because. They mimic beef so well and they have been seasoned to perfection! Entrees.... Yes! They're that good! They will be a challenge to eat because everything else around you is also super good!!! The only thing I wish I would have tried would have been the milk rolls as they looked so good.... Also, he aware that there is a service charge for the walk with us as it is a full show and display of food. Think of it as a tip, but don't be scared to show them some extra love as it's well worth a star in my book. I hope they get one and I can come back and celebrate it! The venue was lively and everyone was so nice! 5/5 this is what you look for in an experience!

First, the meal was very reasonably priced. We opted for "Walk with Us". That means each person picks a main course (centerpiece) and then everything else on the menu is included with everyone's meal. It was a lot of food and it was a lot of deliciousness. Some of our favorites: The cucumbers were spicy delicious, kimchi perfect, the grilled mushrooms earthy and tasty. Hey Kiddo is known for its fried chicken and it should be--tender, crisp, crunchy and with 3 dipping sauces. The Wagyu Beef Galbi is served Korean BBQ style, to wrap in a lettuce leaf. Pork Belly tender and meaty. The grilled sea bass, with a butter sauce and mussels tender, tasty and tremendous. Potato Pave must have had 30 layers- incredible presentation and taste. ...and the shaken rice, aka a work of art, when presented, then shaken and eaten. Everything Asian influenced Our server was impressive; he knew a lot about the quirky, but specially selected wines by the bottle and shared his knowledge about several as well as providing a great road map of the food courses. We could not have had a better experience without him. Don't skip on the cocktails--all good with some subtle twists on old classics. Now to the downside. The place is NOISY. We were seated early and the music was deafening already. Just blasting out of multiple speakers. Then as the restaurant filled up, and everyone started yelling at their tablemates, it was just too loud to enjoy the rest of the meal. Hard floors, no soundproofing and a room full of people enjoying themselves makes for a very loud atmosphere.

We were not disappointed :) Ruperts has a great set up of booth, bar, table, and patio seating. They have cute little witty sayings strewn about their walls, so those are fun to find and read. Prepare yourself for a little bit of a wait if you go for brunch on the weekend. This just means Ruperts is worth the wait. Check the bar seats though, as those are first come, first serve and they serve the entire menu there as well. We lucked out and two spots were open for us so we did not have to wait for a table. The bartender who was also our server was very nice and gave some excellent recommendations. Rupert's classic reuben was a great suggestion. Add sweet potato fries, and you'll be in heaven! We also could not pass up the cinnamon roll that was so elegantly advertised in front of us! When in Sloan's Lake, Ruperts will be my choice of restaurants. As with most brunch places, Ruperts opens early in the morning - at 7am and closes early at 2:30pm.

I had the classic breakfast plate, with perfect scrambled eggs, yummy potato cakes (they were like a cross between a hash brown and a mashed potato, heavy on the green onion flavor and so delicious), good buttered sourdough toast, and turkey bacon. My husband had their classic burger; he added cheddar cheese and jalapeno bacon, and we both had oat milk cappuccinos. The coffee was good. Everything we had really hit the spot and was exactly what we wanted. We did have about a 25 minute wait on a busy, gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We opted to sit inside to be seated quicker, since most people were waiting to be seated out on the patio overlooking Sloan's Lake. Such a great spot! But the inside was totally fine too; I liked the basic, diner vibe of the place.

We had to inform the hostess. The drinks took a very long time and we then ordered food. Thankfully the appetizer came out timely because it took over about 1 hour and 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive. We saw about 3 other tables who ordered after us get their food sooner. The manager stopped by to apologize saying they were very busy, however that didn't explain the sequence of when we received our orders compared to those in the same section. The food was pretty good overall even though my steak and sides were lukewarm by the time I got them. My family didn't have the same issue. We didn't complain about the temp due to not wanting to take even more time. We did express our concerns and they offered 25% off the entrees but that was only about $26 off the total tab for drinks, appetizer, and 4 entrees. It is a cute restaurant so I am disappointed that the service was not that great and the fact that we brought my mother in law here while she was in town expecting a positive experience. We will not be returning or recommending this place to friends and family and hope that they are able to make improvements.
