I have passed by this place many times and it is beautiful, right on the corner, well decorated with an airy open space, lots of light, and an indoor outdoor layout. We sat outside, it was three of us on a Tuesday afternoon at lunchtime. We ordered drinks, I decided to try the Matcha latte martini, which sounded interesting but ended up tasting more like melted ice cream than anything else. My friend had the espresso martini which was pretty good. We tried the dynamite shrimp which were super good to start with. Then we both tried the lobster roll, which doesn't have a price on the menu and just shows market price. I asked what it comes with and it since it generally just comes with potato chips there is an up charge for a side salad or fries. When you choose the fries, heads up, it brings the total of the sandwich to $50. It was good, but it wasn't the best I've had. And the best I've had wasn't $50. The service was great. Absolutely -- here's a polished version that still sounds like a real review: I've been to The Hampton Social in Nashville and Chicago and loved both, but this was my first time at the Denver location -- and I will absolutely be back! My wife had the ribeye, and it was delicious. I had the sea bass with coconut rice and mango salsa, which was so fresh and flavorful. The sea bass could have used just a little more salt for my taste, but overall it was still really good. We also shared the mac & cheese, which was probably the only thing I didn't love. Oh! We also shared the roast of brussels sprouts with goat cheese, and they were amazing! For drinks, we shared a bottle of the Daily Rosé, and my wife finished the night with an espresso martini that she loved. The vibe was great -- lively, fun, coastal, and perfect for a date night. Stopped in for a friend's birthday celebration! There were 7 of us total and luckily we had a reservation so we were quickly taken to our table. The interior is really cute and definitely reminds me of the east coast. Windows run along the walls so there's plenty of natural sunlight that comes in especially if you're coming during brunch. Our table ordered a couple different drinks and the monkey bread and berries and cream French toast to share and agreed our favorite was the monkey bread. Although the French toast was also good just a little too much basil for our taste. For our mains, my friend and I shared the truffle lobster melt with a bisque and the breakfast croissant. Both were good but we agreed that we wished the lobster melt had more lobster. Nothing special about the croissant personally but it was good. I used to think Hampton social was a crowd pleaser, but after my last experience, it fell short. We stopped in on a hot summer afternoon, for a quick lunch and it was fine, but not worth the price point. For a $100 lunch, I would expect a lot better. The air conditioning was not great. The chips were soggy, my tuna tartare was bad, my brother did enjoy his lobster roll - but it was incredibly expensive (I could get it anywhere else cheaper and better). I really wanted to enjoy since I've been to plenty of these chains around the country, but for a place that claims to have the freshest fish around, the tuna from my freezer is much better than this. read more

My coworkers, customers, and I visited The Hampton Social for lunch during a weekday. The place is very spacious, bright, and the music volume is at a level to facilitate conversation. I think it's a great place to either come with friends or coworkers/customers to enjoy a good meal and converse. The food was tasty. We started off with a dozen west coast oysters. They were probably some of the best oysters I have had. They were very flavorful. My honey glazed salmon was cooked very well and I liked the carrots and vegetables that came with it. The sauce it came with was too overpowering in my opinion however. Service was decent. It started off really good but towards the end we found ourselves waiting on our waitress quite a bit especially when we wanted our check to leave. It was pretty dead in there. I came here for brunch while I was in Denver, and overall I had a good experience. The biggest highlights were our waitress, who was fantastic, and the drinks, which were excellent. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was delicious, but the waffle was a letdown. It was oddly inconsistent, being rock hard in some spots and super soft in others, which made it hard to enjoy. My friend ordered the French toast and absolutely loved it. If you're going purely for the vibes, this place absolutely delivers. The ambiance is immaculate--fun, coastal, and just a great overall energy. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for that alone. That said, the food and service didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. Drinks are on the pricier side, and they were already out of a red wine (Shiraz) early on, which felt a bit odd. We started with calamari, Brussels sprouts, and truffle fries--those were all solid and great for sharing. For mains, the burger and pasta were highlights, and the Greek bowl was good overall, though the chicken was unfortunately overcooked. I also asked for tzatziki on the side when my bowl arrived, and it didn't come out until we were basically done eating. There were also a few service hiccups. One person in our group ordered a prime rib sandwich without mayo or horseradish, but it came out with both. They remade it, but the replacement didn't arrive until after the rest of us had finished eating. She ended up taking it to go--and frustratingly, it still had mayo and horseradish on it. We were also surprised it wasn't taken off the bill. To their credit, the manager was very kind and gave us a gift card, which we really appreciated. One of the worst meals I've had in Denver. I genuinely don't understand where all the great reviews are coming from. The restaurant was extremely loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. The theme is beach front and it was well kept with the decor and menu item names! None of my friends drink, so we all got the mermaid mist. It had blue raspberry, Sprite, and glitter. Normally, when we order mocktails places will charge us the same price as an alcoholic beverage, even though we are getting essentially juice. We thought this was a really great price for a fun mocktail. Only five dollars! We got the Parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer to share. They were hot and fresh and topped with Parmesan galore. Highly recommended for your appetizer. I forgot what my friends got, but I got the burger. I added tater tots as my side. It is an additional charge. Food: Coopers beach calamari: Excellent starter - crispy, well-seasoned, and served with tasty sauces that made it perfect for sharing. Fresh oysters: Super fresh and flavorful. We ordered a dozen but only received half a dozen initially. Our server apologized for the mistake, and honestly, it worked out since we had plenty of food. Smash burger: A burger lover's dream. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Don't skip the tater tots on the side, they were crispy and addictive. Crispy coconut tofu: I'm not usually a tofu person, but this dish blew me away! Alec went above and beyond by providing edible glitter for my friend to add to her birthday tea. It was gorgeous. We ordered several items from the menu and all were quite tasty. To start, the calamari was cooked well and was paired with a lovely sauce. The west coast oysters were delicious as well. I ordered the lobster roll (hot) and it was very good. We picked this place because the fish and chips reviews were good, and we know fish and chips. Typically we are annoyed by cod as the fish but these guys do an excellent fish and chips, the batter is great, the cod is great. In addition we had the bang bang chicken (thought that it was weird that it was not shrimp), it was a really good appetizer with very good breading, was crispy, yet moist inside. We also had the crab bruschetta, also very good but for us - we thought maybe a mix of crab, tomatoes and onion would be better than a creamy mix with a sundried tomato on top... But it was great still the same. Our server did an excellent job, looked after us well. We dined upstairs in the patio with the view - it was excellent. As for the drinks, the Longhouse Reserve was just okay--not sweet, with a bit of a sour edge. The Hampton Frosé was slightly bitter and not very enjoyable, while the Aperol Spritz was fine but nothing special. The food was a mixed bag. The Lobster Roll Maine Style was absolutely delicious but the portion was far too small to be satisfying. The avocado toast with an over-easy egg was disappointingly salty, which overwhelmed the other flavors. The tuna tartare was just okay--not particularly memorable, lacking anything to make it stand out. I got to dine at The Hampton Social for one of my coworkers going away lunch. When we arrived on a weekday at lunch time it wasn't very busy. I was little shocked because they do have a great location taking over the old Amato's Ale House. The decor is much brighter than before and is welcoming with vibrant colors and open windows with nice lighting. We were seated and our server went over the specials and the cocktail of the month. Everyone ordered and the drinks arrived quickly. After looking over the menu and realizing the cocktail of the month was $17 I see why the place wasn't so busy. They are pretty pricey. Especially for lunch and no lunch specials. I went with the salmon and asparagus for lunch. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice sauce drizzled on it and topped with a shredded crab salad and laying on top of spinach and asparagus. It was very refreshing and light. Great flavor. To go with it I ordered an espresso martini. It came with edible glitter making the cocktail look shiny and beautiful. It tasted great as well. Overall it was nice lunch with good food and atmosphere however for the cost, I doubt I will be here often. read more

This is a nice, fairly new addition to the Denver dining scene. When I took a group there, I think they had only been open for a few weeks. The decor & ambiance couldn't be beat. They can accommodate solo diners, couples, groups, and even groups that change size! LOL. Staff was gracious and patient, however my receipt did not match the credit card charge, but only off by a nominal amount. Unfortunately after my call & conversation with a manager, the issue was never resolved. I will return when I'm back in town, as a leisure diner, and pay with cash. Made a reservation about 2 weeks in advance for our party of 9 for Denver Restaurant Week. After being seated we were presented with the regular menus and had to ask for Restaurant Week menu. Server said those were only available for advance reservations, which I had made. Why she assumed that a party of 9 could show up on a Saturday night of a special promotion & holiday (St, Patrick's Day) weekend without a reservation escapes me. And why her response wasn't posed as a question instead of an assumption also escapes me. And it was downhill from there. There were such long gaps seeing our server our party took turns running to the bar to get our own drinks. One sandwich entrée arrived entirely filled with fat (and will forever will be known as the fat sandwich) and was inedible, 2 steak entrees arrived more rare than requested (one person ate it because he was starving, the other person did not), one salmon entrée arrived so overcooked it was a hockey puck, and nothing was as hot as it should have been. French fries were barely warm. The quality of the entrees was so bad we spoke to the manager and he offered to replace them, but by then the recipients had lost faith and declined. At the end of service when we received our bill both parties who declined to have entrees replaced were charged for inedible food. So manager had to be summoned again to have tab adjusted. As we settled up our server acknowledged and apologized for the huge lapses in service and poorly prepared food, which was appreciated. Our group will continue to gather for Denver Restaurant Week, but I would not suggest anyone gather at this business. But if you just want to gather at the bar, the bar staff was perfect and even stopped by our table to check on us. 5 stars for them! read more

We had a great experience here. I loved what it was before, and they didn't change the general building layout that much, and I still love it. Expansive bar area, if you are a bar person. LOTS of seats. We went for brunch, and we even got live music as a bonus. Conner and Maxwell were the two bartenders we dealt with, and they were on point. I was so boring. I have lived in Denver since 1997, but still got the Denver Scramble. What can I say? It read well. I added cream cheese. Damn good. They don't have Hollandaise in house, but I am weird and pour that stuff on everything. No hit for that. Wife loved the oysters she had, and she liked the Caesar salad also. We really liked our experience. Little pricey, but nothing out of market price. I need another trip here to bump this to a five, but we will try it again. Stopped in for happy hour last week and left feeling unimpressed. The drinks were fine, nothing special, same with the fries we got as an app. Service was good, our server was attentive and friendly, although we did get an incorrect beer and nothing was really offered as far as correcting or remedying it, he kind of just acknowledged it was the wrong one and apologized. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to either offer the right one or take a bit off the price or something. The atmosphere is nice, light and fun and it was very lively, that was the bright spot of everything. My issue is with the service charge. You can pay on your phone using a QR code on the table, which we did. The total looked higher than it should and we noticed there was a 20% service charge plus around 15% additional tip added on top of that, just included in the total already. We had to go in and remove the additional and it was not easy to do, the screen did not give options for $0 without selecting the tiny "other" button and inputting it there. If we had just paid the total it showed like we should have been able to do, it would have included that additional amount. It just felt super shady and we will not be retuning because of this. There are plenty of restaurants with service charges added that let you add more for additional if you would like, but to automatically include the additional in the total to try and sneak one by is a no-go for me. read more

i really do want to give this place a better review honestly, but as it stands today 3 is where its at for the following: i went here twice now, two different days two different occasions and also two different times to make sure i had enough of a well rounded opinion. first time- i came with a group of girls for a bday. it was a random tuesday evening after 6. there was 8 of us. it was fairly empty, so i am not sure why or how the whole thing just seemed really dragged out server taking extra long to bring simple drinks , checking refills, brings our foods, etc..i can understand this if a place is busy buut, this had me a little puzzled. so slow service..not my favorite thing. There should be a happy medium i assumed because we were a bigger party- the added gratuity, no big deal (more on this later) there is a way to scan and pay pretty typical..(more on this later). all and all i enjoyed the inside environment but more important to me, the food alot which made me want to come back. i had the seafood gnochi and a platter of oysters, and their banana cream pie dessert which all was to die for and exceptionally executed i can rave about. i dont mind paying for good food. fast forward to the second visit- it was a monday after noon around 2. def not busy again. sat on the other side, still really cute, super nice server. i ordered the same thing, still delicious- except- the gnochi was a dinner menu item so i had to ask for this to be a possibility, no big deal and i am thankful staff obliged my request. this server was exceptional, sweet, and pretty attentive to me. however here are my biggest gripes and reason for the three stars- that gratuity charger that i thought was due to party size- was actually a standard "service charge.." and i think that's a really scandalous thing when, i was serving myself water from a bottle at the table-what exactly is being done here that other really good established [laces dont do but don't have this?? my concern is, nobody even mentions this when bringing your bill..a mandatory 18% service charge is kind of crazy when you just tack it on there and dont even disclose it to your guests. comes off very entitled. parking here is crazy, location can be a bit inconvenient so if someone chooses to come here that should be considered too. again, a service charge yet service itself is mediocre at best, regardless of how sweet servers can be. i should be able to chose what i want to tip based on my experience there should not be an automatic oh and to scan and pay-there is a service charge for that too but again is not mentioned. these things come off a bit dishonest. as mentioned , i don't mind paying for good food but there is opportunity here to be corrected and proven. again, a service charge yet service itself is mediocre at best, regardless of how sweet servers can be. will i come back? probably in a group, but i am not sure it is somewhere i will choose to frequent for a casual meal on the fly like other nearby spots, which is conflicting because i do enjoy the food ive had there. its worth checking out and going into with the things i mentioned . :) read more
