    LOBSTER ROLL

Honestly - I've never had a bad time here. Their happy hour is FIRE. $1.50 oysters can't be beat! It's wild the price difference outside of happy hour for oysters. Also $9 martinis on happy hour. A different time, I got the lobster roll and it was drool worthy. It was stupid expensive but that's pretty typical for lobster rolls right now. It was truly delicious though. Perfect amount of mayo/sauce and lemon. I don't like when they are super lemony. Also they had live music in the bar area on weekday happy hour which was super pleasing to the ears This place is huge so easy spot for groups and sadly they are never full so you can easily find a spot

Met up with a friend for a late happy hour and did not realize the happy hour is ONLY in the bar. So we didn't realize this and got charged full price on our drinks and food. The ambiance is bright and almost like sea-fairy. The service was good, granted we were the only ones in there. The food was a great star. The oysters were delicious, both east and west. The shrimp was perfectly sauced and a minor kick of spice. Brussels was super sweet and savory blend. Drinks: the Pink Reverie and One of the Margaritas, crafted with perfection. Overall I would be back, but it is on the higher side of price.

If you go to the Hampton Social, PLEASE get the frosé. If there is one thing you take away from this review, it is that. It is the best I've ever had! Our server was so wonderful and very attentive! We unfortunately spilled our frosé and he got us a new one and was very chill about it. He also gave great recommendations on the menu! The pretzels were really good, nicely balanced. The spicy vodka pasta was alright. I've had better and I've had worse. The short rib was so tender and the sweet polenta was really interesting! It was a little too sweet in my opinion, but still good nonetheless! The carrots are also good. Everything was good, but nothing was out of this world. I think you come here for the vibe and drinks! The actual restaurant is so freaking cute. I love the hanging decor and beachy vibe. It is gorgeous and great for a girls night out.

Went here for a friend's birthday! Great atmosphere and calm relaxing vibe. Pay to park street parking all around the area. The inside is huge and there's a second level with rooftop access! The theme is beach front and it was well kept with the decor and menu item names! None of my friends drink, so we all got the mermaid mist. It had blue raspberry, Sprite, and glitter. Normally, when we order mocktails places will charge us the same price as an alcoholic beverage, even though we are getting essentially juice. We thought this was a really great price for a fun mocktail. Only five dollars! We got the Parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer to share. They were hot and fresh and topped with Parmesan galore. Highly recommended for your appetizer. I forgot what my friends got, but I got the burger. I added tater tots as my side. It is an additional charge. The burger was cooked to my liking and I thought it was really juicy and fresh! Because we were celebrating a birthday, we got two desserts! We got the donut drops and churro cake. There was enough for everybody to share. They both were very sweet and came with a scoop of ice cream. Overall, I thought this was a really great experience and a fun place to celebrate. It is a little pricey, so just keep that in mind for the budget, but it's definitely worth it.

We made a weekday dinner reservation, but with how spacious the venue is, you could probably walk in without much issue. Parking is definitely tricky, there's street parking all around, but it was surprisingly busy, so it took some time to find a spot. I did see a parking garage nearby as well, so you have options. Service: 5/5 The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. While we were taking photos at the entrance before we left, one of the team members kindly offered to snap a group pic for us - a thoughtful touch! Throughout the evening, service was attentive and friendly, with frequent check-ins to make sure we were taken care of. Drinks: Starlit espresso martini: Smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced. You get the choice between vodka or tequila (went with vodka and were not disappointed). Sand and smoke: Their creative twist on an old fashioned. It was so good - ordered two. Smoky, rich, and incredibly well-executed. Hampton frosé: Their signature drink, and it lives up to the hype. Sweet but balanced, with a sugared rim that complements it perfectly. Pro tip: Ask for a straw, it makes a big difference with this frozen treat. Food: Coopers beach calamari: Excellent starter - crispy, well-seasoned, and served with tasty sauces that made it perfect for sharing. Fresh oysters: Super fresh and flavorful. We ordered a dozen but only received half a dozen initially. Our server apologized for the mistake, and honestly, it worked out since we had plenty of food. Smash burger: A burger lover's dream. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Don't skip the tater tots on the side, they were crispy and addictive. Crispy coconut tofu: I'm not usually a tofu person, but this dish blew me away! The textures, the flavors, the mango salsa - all of it came together beautifully. Even the plantains, which I don't typically like, were delicious. This is a must-try, even for meat-eaters! Overall 5/5 The Hampton Social exceeded all expectations. Between the welcoming staff, fantastic drinks, and standout dishes (seriously, try that tofu), it's an easy 5/5. Whether you're visiting Denver or a local looking for your new favorite dinner spot - this is it!

Excellent food, service and decor. Really loved our first visit and our server was amazing. Definitely a repeater for us!

Have been here a few times now. Love the bright and coastal decor and the fact that they have live music. I've found the service to be lacking sometimes and the food to be quite pricey for the quality. The exception to that is the happy hour oysters which are a great deal! Last visit I had the salmon which was good, my husband had the mac n cheese which was small and basic for the cost.

Very nice restaurant with indoor and patio seating. We were greeted and asked if we wanted water and since we'd been out walking were thirsty. She asked if ??? was okay and I said yes not knowing I was going to be charged $9 for a bottle of water. We looked at a menus for the happy hour. Very limited and non filing choices if drinking. Pricey for dressed up basic food. The tenders were fresh and tasty but $18 for four tenders is absurd. The pizzas were good but not great. We had a couple of drinks and they were tasty. Honestly we left hungry we wanted more but it wasn't worth the prices. Watch the auto gratuity! Good for cocktails

Came here for a friend's birthday and had a great time. We were seated on the patio at dusk and the views were marvelous. We had two servers, Alec and Connor, both were very helpful and attentive. Alec went above and beyond by providing edible glitter for my friend to add to her birthday tea. It was gorgeous. We ordered several items from the menu and all were quite tasty. To start, the calamari was cooked well and was paired with a lovely sauce. The west coast oysters were delicious as well. I ordered the lobster roll (hot) and it was very good. I would've rather had the fries or side salad over the tots, but definitely not a big deal, just my preference. The girls ordered the truffle Mac n cheese, glazed salmon, and the shrimp tacos. Everybody loved their meal. Also GET THE PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES! So delicious. When we told Connor it was our friend's birthday, he brought out 3 n/a birthday shots and one regular as well as a sparkler in a champagne glass. They were so fun and delicious!definitely made the night special. It was sweet of him to match the drinks to our preferences. We would all definitely come back here.

Fresh oyster and seafood in the middle of Midwestern state like Colorado. It was pretty early hour to dine in LoHi so the venue felt more private. The server was very attentive and everything came out very fast. The decor was straight to the point with beach vibe. Oysters were fresh (east cost ones are my preferred choice) and happy hour specials definitely are not to be missed such as roasted Brussels sprouts and tuna tartar. Although skirt steak with the balsamic glaze was too sweet for savory eater like me but overall experience was delightful!

Every single thing about this place was amazing! I am not a big fan of salmon and took a chance. It was SO delicious! Live music, great vibe. We are definitely going back!

I've been for happy hour, dinner and brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it all! Sometimes they have live music for brunch which is nice as you don't get that many places. I love the ambiance in the bar and restaurants, definitely instagram worthy and the rooftop if wonderful in the summer.

Fish sandwich. I did not like the cheddar.

It was okay. Service was very good. It's a nice location with a nice feel. Live music was good, but a little loud. Food was okay.

Well, I have visited this restaurant 3 times. All 3 times have been for a holiday brunch or…read moredinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

My sister opted for a benedict, cousin got the massive breakfast burrito, and I opted for the breakfast salad - which was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, salty with a runny egg on top. SERIOUSLY YUM!
