Yukon Yukon Gold Potato Pur-e

First time here, the interior was really comfortable. I think the theme like a cozy grandmother get together. Dont get me wrong. It was that level of cozy. Good for family outing as well as date. It was really pricey. In term of portion. The steak seems smaller than the ounce listed. Dont quote me on it. But it wasnt the best steak for that price. There is no salt or pepper on the table. As if they were confident in their season. They were wrong. I did not need extra condiments. But it felt like an average overpriced steak. Sides were good. Cant messed up mashed potatoes and roasted carrot. Overall, good for first time. Would not frequent for that price. Service was fast and attentive.

Always excellent! Charcuterie, Octopus, Bolognese, Pork Chop,... all top notch! Excellent wine program; enjoyed a btl of Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio. Service friendly and spot on. Fun vibe. Will be back!

We choose to treat ourselves with Urban Farmer on Christmas day with dinner reservations. The meal was $95 pp before drinks and gratuities, with several choices in each course. Each table started with a cheese and charcuterie board. We both chose lobster bisque, followed by your main entrees: prime rib and NY strip steak. We shared sides and ordered cheesecakes and butter cake to end the meal. While all the servers and staff were kind, tonight didn't highlight the best of what likely is a great steakhouse. Execution was fair at best. The sides and cheese/charcuterie board were the stars. Our entrees and desserts were mediocre, sadly. I was hoping they would've been the stars. When we asked to have our food packed to go, small details were overlooked. My prime rib wasn't packed with its au jus or horseradish. I was hoping the warm cheesecake would be better once I was able to chill it overnight, but it was still without personality. When spending upwards of $250 on one meal, we expected more. We didn't wait to be seated but we did wait often at our table for drinks and/or to request other things. It felt like the staff were trying their best to keep up but just couldn't. This is likely a one and done for us.

Came here on a Monday night 12/1 spontaneously around 7:30 pm. I was seated quickly. Menu was standard but everything was delicious. The potato side was amazing !!!!! The pasta was fine nothing special but the filet was tender and I was impressed. Moody dark lightning -- nice ambiance for a girls night ! Cocktails were tasty and the wine was great too. I was happy with my first experience !

TikTok brought us in, but their service and food will bring us back. Staff was incredible and on top of everything. We sat at the bar and started off with the Farmer #4, it was ahhhmazing. The grapefruit ice keeps it from getting watered down, but it was so refreshing and delicious we didn't let the ice melt much. The charcuterie was a tad smaller than I anticipated, but the selections were thoughtful. The greens they grew themselves. Cheese was delicious as was the salami. We will be back when we can try more of the menu and to get another farmer #4!

The Urban Farmer is an upscale steakhouse with rustic modern vibes. The service and food were both excellent! The gnocchi was to die for! Everything we had was top notch. I highly recommend if you are looking for a steakhouse in Denver.

Had a reservation dinner date on a Sunday and was promptly seated. Love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant with their farm/veggie theme. We had ordered the Burrata salad as a starter, I went with the 12oz NY Strip w/bearnaise as my main and we got 3 sides. Sides were the grilled asparagus, mac n cheese, and mash potatoes. Burrata salad was delicious...mix of greens, crunch of the peas and noodles, slight tasty hint of seasoning that went well with the burrata. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. Sides were all good too. The lemon/salty crunch on the asparagus gave it a good flavor with texture of the salt. The mac and cheese was super cheesy, interesting noodle type, and can't go wrong with panko crust. For the mash potato, that can be a skip next time. Overall, fantastic service and food. I would 100% return and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a steak!

Came here for dinner and drinks with my friends! The cocktail menu was extensive along with beer and wine, but I ended up ordering the Bunny Radio cocktail twice because I loved how refreshing and tasty it was. Highly recommend the mussels and the local mushrooms side. The service was fantastic, and I really liked the ambiance of the room. Good combo of restaurant and bar to watch sports. Bunny Radio PEI Mussels Blue Corn Bread Little Gem Salad Flat Iron Steak Local Roasted Mushrooms Brussel Sprouts I enjoyed almost everything we ordered. I think I'd skip the brussel sprouts, but I loved the rest.

When you first walk in you realize what a nice place this is. The steak was very good, maybe just a little over seasoned but nothing to complain about, it was also cooked to perfection. My with got the chicken and it was very dry and hard to eat. The sides were excellent and a nice compliment to the entree. The service was excellent, she was friendly and knowledgeable. We were a little disappointed that they did not make the basque cheesecake, it one thing we were looking forward to.

We stopped in for drinks and a snack on a Sunday afternoon. Our drinks were very good. I had the butter pecan old fashioned and the butter pecan was just enough to taste it but not be overpowering. We also had the cheese and charcuterie boards combined. Everything on the board was really tasty though a little more would be nice for the price ;) For a real treat, you have to head downstairs and check out the women's restroom. The melting horse art is some of the most interesting bathroom art I've ever seen!

The sinks in the restrooms were fab....

Bartender Noah and Server Extraordinaire Sara made this place awesome. Our party of 4 were greeted and seated at the bar, where we enjoyed lime gimlets, the "Painkiller", a glass of Malbec and an outstanding Old Fashioned made with Denver-distilled whiskey (the name escapes me...but so good). All were made perfectly and facilitated the walk to our table immensely. Once seated, Sara coached us through menu options (including gluten free, vegetarian and what could be "modified" to be GF or veg - so helpful!). Beef Carpaccio and Ahi Crudo apps were good, with the carpaccio solid but needing just a touch more spice IMO. The venison, veggie mushroom, filet and ribeye were excellent, with props to the venison (my order) which was seared proper with perfect salt and pepper combo. Desserts of cobbler (GF!), ice cream and an espresso martini (judge not...) topped off a perfect meal. Highly recommend - ask for Sara, and then let Noah soothe your nerves with painkillers and various libations.....

A prefect way to end my little vacation! I was visiting my friend and we celebrated his birthday with a beautiful dinner thank you to the great wonderful friendly staff that wrote a special birthday note to my friend. And we so enjoyed our restaurant week meal! What a feast! The wine was prefect. And the beer tartare was so yummy. And we both had the steak special wow! We both loved the crust / seasoning so so good. Such a must try! And I had the chocolate dessert- simply delicious! We also got the brussel sprouts to be a little green. Can't wait to visit again and try more of all their great dishes Oh and get the espresso martini! So much better than the one we had at union station. We went on a Monday night, very chill vibe. Super nice and relaxing dinner! Super fabulous!

FINALLY!! An awesome steakhouse! Haha This place is legit. Ana was just a sweetheart and always attentive and making sure we were doing great. She not only was our waitress but she was always making sure that she explained everything and suggested. What a rockstar !!!! Love the location it is somewhat in downtown, so try to make it 15-20 mins before your reservation because parking is NUTS!!! The vibe of the place is just upscale but enough to swing by and also just have a drink. THE FOOD, dayummmmm I had the filet and it was just so delicious. Veggies and mash were great The appetizers were O M G ... I licked the whole plate. Only suggestion I have for my filet is that I ordered the blue cheese sauce and I thought it was actual melted blue cheese crust on it, instead it was a melted buttery blue cheese "oil" .... But I wasn't mad at it lol Regardless a for sure GO TOO!!! Love love love this place !!!! I celebrated my birthday and what a way to make me feel special !!! Thank you Ana !!

The vibe is upscale, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. For food, my wife and I shared the Filet Flight, which included samples of their prime, wagyu, and grass-fed 4 oz filets. Such a fun way to experience the different cuts, and every one of them was excellent. We also started with the Yellowtail Hamachi Sashimi, which was incredibly fresh. We also got the Oak-Grilled Broccolini and Duck Fat Fries, both of which were fantastic sides. There were also so many other side items on the menu that sounded amazing, including the Hand Made Gnocchi, Black Truffle Mac & Cheese, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Whipped Potatoes. Definitely a place you want to come back to and try them all. As a small extra touch for our anniversary, the staff gave us a handwritten card along with a few dessert bites, which was really thoughtful and helped make the night feel even more special. An easy 5 stars and a perfect spot for a celebration or date night.

Lots of professionals seemed to hang out here after work. They offer a great selection of steaks, half size portions of sides (which is amazing) and an array of cocktails and wine. We got wine so o review on the cocktails, however the table next to us raved about them. Prices were reasonable for a steakhouse in Denver. Steak was cooked perfectly! I got grass fed New York and my friend got filet. Hers was slightly under but nothing she couldn't eat. The best thing on the menu... black truffle Mac and cheese!! Wow! The octopus was also tender and had great wood fire flavor. Our server was a bit all over the place and when we needed something, I had to track down someone else. Didn't love that. Would definitely come back again!

Celebrated a big business success recently and decided to go whole hog (is that even a saying these…read moredays?:) on a dining-extravaganza. Decided on A5 because 1) it's got some great appetizers / starters, 2) love the servers there, and 3) was in the mood to chow down on a hunka-chunka serious steak, and for the first time get a tomahawk slab o' beef that I had seen before on the A5 menu. Came in early on a Thursday night (6:15 pm) so the place was losing its happy hour crowd and had not yet been swooped down on by the hip dinner crowd. A great time to go. Could not have been better. Started with their crab and shrimp dip app and Japanese milk bread, both of which are stand-out non-steak items on their menu. Ordered the tomahawk steak which is ridiculously large (over 40 ounces (10 of which is from the large rib bone)) and ridiculously good (and ridiculously expensive . . . as in like over $225), along with an order of asparagus. Loved it all. Of course, we split the steak and had no room for dessert. Brought home probably 10 ounces of meat along with some other leftovers which will give us another night of good at-home eating. Bottom line . . . wonderful experience. Pricey but they made it a true celebration for us and it was well worth it. Go. You'll have a great time there, and if you don't want to blow a bundle and its your first time at A5, check them out at happy hour. It's probably the best deal for the best HH food in Denver.

Had dinner reservations for two, and was delighted that the table was ready when we got there…read more Everyone was super friendly and service was good. We started with the burrata based on Yelp reviews and they weren't wrong. Super fresh tasting, and the focaccia paired with it perfectly. It's an upcharge but worth it, and you aren't at a place like this to pinch pennies anyways. We both chose the rigatoni, we had a heavy lunch, and it was perfect. The sauce was deep and hearty and the pasta was exactly al dente. We split a strawberry guacamole sorbet and glad we did, it was larger than expected and absolutely delicious. Place has the feel of a modern restaurant, very sleek. My only complaint was that we were seated next to a room with a large group and it was hard to hear each other talk, but nothing to be done about that. Backed that up with a solid salad, then moved into a homemade pasta with ragù that had no business being that good. Very cool!! The food was good but not great. For the price, I'd expect something a little better but the beef tenderloin was cooked exactly the way I ordered it (complete with peppercorn crust). It was tender but maybe a bit dryer than I like for a filet. The peppercorn crust was amazing! The Saratoga chips are made in house and they are very good as well. Super crispy with the right amount of salt. We got a history lesson from one of the servers, about 10min worth of backstory about the restaurant and it was almost like dinner and a show. Parking is a bit tight if they're busy but it's downtown Denver so that's typical. Other than the price being a bit high for the quality, this place is a good time and a good meal.

This was by far the worst part of our trip to Denver... be warned. Parking: There is free parking in the back of the building. When we first walked in we were greeted and brought to our reserved tables upstairs. If you decide to try this place, get a reservation and do downstairs. There is so much more to look at downstairs! Instead, we were brought to a backroom that was much cooler(in temp) and had way less to look at... we felt "put into the corner." It was busy, and it appeared they were short staffed. It took a long time for our server to get to us. She was very sweet and I definitely felt for her, she was really trying! However, it took awhile to get our drinks, the complimentary bread came out after our appetizer and house salads... anything complimentary should come out right away. The food: We got the Rocky Mountain oysters and I actually thought they were good! The cocktail sauce is very tomato forward and the "horseradish sauce" was a joke! There was absolutely no flavor and I am convinced it was just sour cream! If you do order these, ask for their ranch- it was dill flavored and delicious! The house salad was good But wet... like I had water on my plate. If you want a Caesar Salad it will cost an extra 7.50!!!!!!!!! Why!? That doesn't make any sense! The complimentary sourdough was good but the whipped butter had no taste at all... we had to sprinkle some salt on it for it to actually taste decent. We got the New York strip 16oz and the Elk steaks. The New York strip was the worst steak we have ever had! It was supposed to be cooked to a medium but was definitely closer to a medium rare. The butter on top did not have any flavor and was pointless. It had a fair amount of fat on it and the crust tasted "ashy" to us. It was expensive so we ate it, but terrible! The mashed potatoes were not mashed well! I had a whole potato in it! The veggies were mushy and overcooked. The elk steaks were actually very good! I would recommend that! The wild rice was brown rice with a few wild rice pieces... and again mushy veggies! The total price for one alcoholic drink, one bottled soda, a half order of Rocky Mountain oysters, the New York strip and elk steaks was over $200 with tip. We went to the restrooms afterwards and they were disgusting and dirty! If we are spending over $200 on a meal it better be great service, food and ambiance! This missed the mark HEAVILY! If you do feel the need to go here, get a table downstairs, make a reservation, get the Rocky Mountain oysters with the dill ranch and the elk steaks.

People either love or hate the 50's decor that Mad Men picked up on decades later. I'm in the former camp and like sitting upstairs most of all. Today, we sat downstairs for the first time. Quiet and cozy with the Rat Pack looking on, the mood was chill, anticipation high. Service is consistently attentive, prompt, and friendly here. Jason greeted us warmly and followed this with soft, warm bread with Anaheim-spiced garlic butter that we could have filled up on and left happy. It's stellar. Drinks arrived quickly: my Great Divide farmhouse ale and a potent White Russian that had mom in silly mode. Mom took her salad to the woodshed. My cup of green Chile corn chowder hit the spot. We were stoked when our server from my last birthday brought our entrees. It felt like home. While the "Sugar Steak" is their calling card and a number of topping combos are available, we went for straight up beef. No regrets. Medium rare? Perfect. Mom's filet mignon torched the one I had at Gallagher's in Las Vegas a week ago--at a much better price. I tried the wagyu coulette (picanha). Unbelievably tender, it's my new Bastien's fave. Side and soup or salad come with your steak--none of the a la carte nickel-and-diming found at most steakhouses nowadays. This sets Bastien's apart. We enjoyed the twice-baked potato and white cheddar mashers. I can vouch for the loaded baked potato and French onion soup, as well. Overall, Bastien's offers unique ambiance, stellar service, solid steaks & value that fancier spots don't have. No BS service fees. It feels like they are here for you, not the other way around. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The lamb was excellent, but the sweet mashed potatoes absolutely stole the show and easily the best thing we ate all night. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. For an appetizer, two meats, two sides, and dessert, our total came out to $88, which felt like a great value for the quality. Overall, it left a really good impression and we'd definitely come back again.
