Peruvian Ceviche
Julia T.

The food was wonderful and the service was exquisite. We ordered several appetizers and dessert. Amarillo Ceviche came in a mango citrus sauce and was absolutely stunning. Flavor was pretty good. The Peruvian Ceviche was AMAZING, basically a Michelin star shrimp cocktail. I dream about that cocktail sauce. The Heirloom Tomato and Burrata was so unique and fresh. Loved the watermelon and of course the burrata was amazing. The blackened fish tacos were recommended by our server and I'm so glad we trusted him. The flavor profile really came out with the black salt and lime. For dessert, we had the molten lava cake. It was pretty good, I probably wouldn't order it again. However, I found the plating and elements overall to be unique. I just felt that the overall flavor was a little cheap to me. The reviews are not wrong when they say this place is NOISY. We did come on a Friday night so there were several large parties, but even dining outside of the bar area had my husband and I nearly shouting to hear eachother. Not a huge deal, just something to prepare for. Make sure to mention to your server that you parked valet! They will validate it which cuts your valet bill from $28 to $14. I would 100% recommend this place and plan to come back.

Absolutely a must try. Everything about this place was positive. Service, food and decor. I was impressed with their octopus and Jen steaks were amazing. When we thought we were done, enter La Bamba!! It was a must try experience. We will be back.

My husband and I went to Toro in Denver for brunch and had a great experience. The bottomless brunch menu was very tempting, but we decided to order à la carte--and we're glad we did because everything we ordered was delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail aguachile, bison anticucho, Boulder omelet, and the breakfast sandwich. Every dish was really good, flavorful, and beautifully done. The menu has a great variety and made it hard to choose. Our server, George, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We would absolutely come back again, and next time we'll definitely be trying the bottomless brunch menu!

Toro is a trendy place that I person's have only grabbed happy hour drinks and snacks. I do want to check out this brunch they have sometime, it's pricey but I believe endless. It's in a pretty boutique hotel so def has the vibes. Staff has always seemed pretty cool. Check out their HH specials!

This may be a one off different experience since I came for NYE. I would imagine that it's more of a rowdy atmosphere during this occasion. But service was attentive regardless of how busy it got. You definitely will need a reservation before hands, since it's part of a hotel. Seating is limited with hotel guess having priority. The food was a bit pricey for their portion. I would not consider this fine dining as how the price suggests? I guess it is small plates style. My favorite dish from the rest had to be the ceviche, yellowtail cubed, pairing with a citrusy sauce and eating it with the salty chip was a good combination. As for the lobster tail and steak (did not get a picture). Which was the main course was a bit disappointing. I felt that it lacked season. The side dishes were ok...it was a good experience to try.

We first had Toro at the Taco festival where they had a deconstructed Lomo Saltado as a taco and it was one of our favorites that day so we've had Toro on our list for a while now and finally made it in for date night. Toro is an upscale restaurant but I do like that the music isn't blasting and there's light at the tables so you can actually read the menu without a flashlight. Service is incredible. Food comes out relatively quick. Staff is super attentive (our water cups were refilled consistently). The food was delicious. It is on the higher price range but you leave filling full. With each dish, they do not cheapen out on you. Starting with the fish dip, it was smoky and full of flavor. The plantain chips paired well with it. The Angry Scorpion was a yummy roll. For the cost and amount, it's generally the same as every other sushi restaurant. It is Latin inspired so I was eating flavors I don't normally eat at Asian sushi spots (which isn't a bad thing. I like experiencing other cultures take on it). Our entrees were so tasty. The crispy veggies on the lomo Saltado with the sauce was perfection. The steak was chewy but not crazy. Full of flavor. I was surprised the lomo Saltado came with a ton of meat. The desserts were delicious. It just melted in your mouth. The cake was moist without being soggy. Overall it was so good. I'm still salivating as I'm writing this review reminiscing of the meal.

I've only been to Toro for drinks and bites, and I've never been disappointed. Located in the Clio hotel in the heart of Cherry Creek, this lounge strikes a perfect balance: relaxing, sophisticated and yet casual. The open floorplan still manages to feel intimate, with plenty of inviting sitting areas. Service is consistently professional, the food and drinks solid. No wonder I keep coming back whenever I'm in the area!

Was staying at the hotel, so initially went here out of convenience but it is actually a great spot! We did drinks, happy hour bites and dessert all great! They have some nice cocktails on the menu and make a great espresso martini that paired well with dessert. I went with the chocolate lava cake with gelato. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. The mango gelato tasted like the mango just came off a tree. The happy hour bites were great too. We got the guacamole, sushi roll and crudo. Everything was super fresh and packed with flavor. This is a great spot to grab a drink and hang out at the bar or lounge area, a date night, or coming in with a larger group of friends. I would definitely recommend if you are in the Cherry Hill area.

Chef Richard Sandoval's Toro Latin Kitchen & Lounge in Cherry Creek is a bold celebration of flavors spanning Latin America and Asia -- and it completely delivers. I joined a local couple who are big fans of Toro, as this was my first visit. Even though we had a reservation in the main dining room, we opted to sit at the lively bar. Great decision -- our server Michael was a rockstar. Friendly, knowledgeable, and spot-on with every recommendation. Starters: We kicked things off with the Shrimp Cocktail Aguachile and Sweet Corn Empanadas. The aguachile had big, juicy shrimp in a bright, tangy green sauce with just the right amount of heat -- super refreshing. The Sweet Corn Empanadas were golden pockets filled with creamy corn purée and a hint of cheese, paired with a savory sauce that added richness without overwhelming. Entrées: The Cusco Half Chicken was tender and flavorful, served with aji amarillo sauce that gave it a nice kick. The Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian-style stir-fry of beef tenderloin, tomatoes, and onions over jasmine rice, was comforting and a dish that satisfies on every level. But the star of the night? The 14-ounce Drying Pan Farm Organic Pork Chop. Hands down the best pork chop I've ever had. Juicy, thick-cut, perfectly seasoned, and served sizzling on a hot platter -- it had a beautiful sear and a pink, tender center that melted in your mouth. I came hungry, but this beast of a chop beat me. Dessert: We finished with the show-stopping La Bomba -- a white chocolate shell dramatically smashed open to reveal cookie crumble, fresh berries, scoops of sorbet and ice cream. It's as theatrical as it is delicious and the perfect way to end a memorable meal. If you're in Denver and craving inventive Latin fusion in a sleek, modern space, Toro is absolutely worth a visit.

Best dinner in Denver Best meal in Denver We started with the corn empanadas- these are a CANT MISS. I'll dream of these. For drinks we went with the margarita which is topped with hibiscus rosemary foam, DIVINE. Good luck of spice from the Japanese tequila so beware. We opted to share the rest of the meal as well so we did the filet with the Brussels, Mac, and potatoes. Filet was impeccable. Beautiful cut and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Brussels are a 5/5. Flavor is perfect and the crunch from the pomegranate seeds is nice. The Mac is also a 5/5. It has pork belly. Do you need to know more?

Lobster Quesadilla

We had a wonderful experience here the other night for my birthday. We came in for a late dinner, after attending a wine event nearby. Street parking is always hard around here, so we parked in a nearby garage. We had a reservation, and a few minutes after arriving, were greeted, and shown to our table. We had a two seater table, against the wall, which felt cozy. Our server, Aly, was great, and even brought over some birthday bubbles to celebrate. I ordered the Oaxacan old fashioned - and it was delicious! For food, we decided to split a bunch of the smaller plates - I can't say that I've been to any restaurant that serves both guacamole and sushi - I love the pan-Latin menu, and all the different very dynamic flavors. The only negative comment I have is just related to timing/pacing of the smaller plates - they all came out within minutes of one another, and at a small table, we were trying to find room to put everything. That aside, the food was amazing. We had the guacamole (super fresh, great flavor), the tuna and hamachi tiradito, the Amarillo ceviche, and the lobster quesadilla. For dessert, we went with the La Bomba - which was the perfect end to our meal, and in my opinion, way better than birthday cake. Thanks for an amazing meal - we will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

Went here for Mother's Day brunch and sat at the bar and it was the perfect low key day. Relaxed but stunning atmosphere, great service and food. Love the margaritas!

This restaurant is located inside a hotel in Cherry Creek. The area is so safe and beautiful. There is valet in front and also parking garages around the corner. They have a great selection of drinks and mocktails. Our server was amazing for our 11 top table. The food was a 10/10 and we all got to share and try appetizers and specialties. We were celebrating a graduation and ended with la bomba. I recommend everyone to get this for the experience and amazing dessert!

Despite the current ratings of less than 4 stars, I somehow was determined that this place would not disappoint. And my hunch was right; it didn't. We did make a reservation ahead of time. Upon arriving, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside to which we said inside (for a mid-October evening, the temperature outside was decent and yet we weren't sure about sitting outside the whole time. We made the right call. Occasionally the cool breeze came in from the side door at the bar (as it was left open; they said once closed it locks so it would inconvenience the people out in the open deck area to leisurely come in) and it felt a bit cold to our liking.) Inside was lively. The beautiful modern-looking lounge was filled with all kinds of chitchat by other guests. Our conversation was sometimes canceled by it where we had to talk into our ears but we certainly didn't mind it. Yes, the ambiance is what you come here for. He got the Juicy Bits IPA and I got the French red blend (Grenache and Cote du Rhone). We browsed the food section in the menu. Some looked interesting but we ended up not ordering anything as even though we ate lightly at the first restaurant we were still quite full from it. Our waiter (young male, I believe his name was Payton) was busting his bottom. When he was at our table taking our order he said he was pretty much the only one who was assisting with the guests in the main indoor area. He occasionally got help from his colleague. It appeared to be an understaffed night. We completely understood. Payton, you were pleasant to us; thank you. We truly enjoyed our drinks. FYI - Juicy Bits IPA is not on tap so even though they poured it into a glass the server couldn't pour everything into it so he brought the can as well (btw, it's a 16oz can.) As much as I enjoyed my bold red wine his IPA stole the spotlight at our table. He is a beer guy and he couldn't help but taking a photo of the can for future purposes/purchase. Juicy Bits is a local craft beer made in Greeley. Quite refreshing beer indeed. Well, we sat in our comfy couch for an extended period of time from 6:30 to 9pm. We both stepped outside to the open deck area for a quick view earlier in our dining experience. And we must say that this is one of the best rooftop restaurants we've been to in the Denver area. We shall be back.
