In the summer, a rooftop bar is something in DTC one should experience. Halo Rooftop Bar is one of those places. Sit inside or outside, it's nice, cozy and calm atmosphere. At times the inside space can get loud as with any restaurant or bar. The menu has an a lot of adult spirits options and signature drinks. The Tequila Mockingbird is a recommend! Very nice drink. I'll enjoyed the Halo Smash Sliders and the Denver Nuggets with the Honey Mustard was yum . The server was real nice, knew the menu well and very personal able. Halo has a *great* view: outstanding & well worth going for a while. The food is Ok, and the service is good when things are slow. But... when they get busy [and they do] things get bogged down. This is the type of place to take out of town guests for a beverage or two, but then adjourn to elsewhere to dine. read more

After a quick dinner at a nearby restaurant, we came here for a few drinks and of course, the much talked about view. Despite the current ratings of less than 4 stars, I somehow was determined that this place would not disappoint. And my hunch was right; it didn't. We did make a reservation ahead of time. Upon arriving, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside to which we said inside (for a mid-October evening, the temperature outside was decent and yet we weren't sure about sitting outside the whole time. We made the right call. Occasionally the cool breeze came in from the side door at the bar (as it was left open; they said once closed it locks so it would inconvenience the people out in the open deck area to leisurely come in) and it felt a bit cold to our liking.) Inside was lively. The beautiful modern-looking lounge was filled with all kinds of chitchat by other guests. Our conversation was sometimes canceled by it where we had to talk into our ears but we certainly didn't mind it. Yes, the ambiance is what you come here for. He got the Juicy Bits IPA and I got the French red blend (Grenache and Cote du Rhone). We browsed the food section in the menu. Some looked interesting but we ended up not ordering anything as even though we ate lightly at the first restaurant we were still quite full from it. Our waiter (young male, I believe his name was Payton) was busting his bottom. When he was at our table taking our order he said he was pretty much the only one who was assisting with the guests in the main indoor area. He occasionally got help from his colleague. It appeared to be an understaffed night. We completely understood. Payton, you were pleasant to us; thank you. We truly enjoyed our drinks. FYI - Juicy Bits IPA is not on tap so even though they poured it into a glass the server couldn't pour everything into it so he brought the can as well (btw, it's a 16oz can.) As much as I enjoyed my bold red wine his IPA stole the spotlight at our table. He is a beer guy and he couldn't help but taking a photo of the can for future purposes/purchase. Juicy Bits is a local craft beer made in Greeley. Quite refreshing beer indeed. Well, we sat in our comfy couch for an extended period of time from 6:30 to 9pm. We both stepped outside to the open deck area for a quick view earlier in our dining experience. And we must say that this is one of the best rooftop restaurants we've been to in the Denver area. Halo Rooftop has been on my list for a while, and I finally was able to try it on a Friday night. They do take reservations, which is great for a bar as they do get pretty busy. It's inside the hotel on the top floor. Plenty of street parking nearby. The menu is standard, and the ambiance is nice. They had a DJ on a Friday night, which was a cool touch. The service is pretty attentive and helpful, despite them being super busy. Overall, I won't go out of my way to go there again but will worth another shot if I am in the area. read more

Insane views! This place is everything DTC needed. Light bites and burgers make the perfect combo with one of their signature cocktails. I even loved their zero proof cocktails. Service was attentive and presence was great. First come first serve on the patio but easy to get a table on a Monday night. Reservations for big parties recommend calling after 4pm when they open. It was good views for a rooftop bar. Because it's a small rooftop, there was very limited seating. There was both a retirement party and a pre-wedding reception so 70% of the space felt blocked off. The only available seating was outside with very few chairs. Sarah was our bartender who was so amazing. She really checked in with us and took care of us. We had a nice time. We shared the fries which were not bad with the mozzarella cheese on top. I wish there was more flavor to the plate, but it was nice to munch. We attended their New Year's Even event and it was amazing: probably the best NYE I've ever had. I tried their burger and it was great (I skipped the cheese this time and thought was still awesome). We had a ton of their drinks and they were all very interesting, but the best one was the alcoholic hot chocolate. Inside they had live music/DJ and the environment was great. Outside was even better between all the seating, the fire pits, the champagne toast, and the private drone show. The staff and everyone we met were friendly and answered all of our questions. They even had a few photographers going around that took a bunch of our photos (though I only saw photos from one of them). I highly recommend their NYE event. The only thing that was strange was they had this outdoor room (like a mini greenhouse, but for eating in) that was inaccessible and I heard someone say they were showing it off to rent for private events, but they should have just opened it up to everyone or had people take photos in there or something to advertise it better. The hotel has valet parking, but we parked in the garage immediately across the street for a like $6. read more

Such a fun, bustling, vibrant bar with great outdoor seating areas and beautiful views. We were there for happy hour and their menu has lots of variety. Our server, Madison, made some suggestions and was helpful. There were a couple of issues with our food - like not getting our salad until after our other food and not getting the aioli for the French fries. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the food, great drinks, and ambiance. The chicken skewers were a little too salty but the pickled green papaya that came with it was delicious. Halo does NOT offer happy hour. Don't let the earlier reviews and pictures of happy hour menus fool you! Our waiter informed us they stopped offering a happy hour menu 7 months ago! We were hoping to get a deal, but at $16 a drink at 5pm on a Wednesday, no thanks! My burger and fries were average. My friend enjoyed her shrimp cocktail. I used to love this place as I've been a regular since day one. I have happily brought a lot of business to Halo in the past. Corporate parties, clients, friends etc.. That being said, I would like to chat with the owner about the way I was treated by your food and beverage director Iona. She is highly unprofessional, and rude and said things to me in private near the elevators that I am not ok with. From the low food quality to not being efficient and courteous to guests, she was not a good pick as a F&B director. I think the 3.7 stars reflects what she's doing. Everything needs to improve! Got seated and no water, no server after sitting for 15 minutes. Went and asked for service and still nothing 10 minutes later. We got up and left. Sad situation. This new rooftop lounge is the tallest in Denver... Halo Rooftop Bar is the new hotspot in town and it's safe to say, we will be regulars here. This vibrant open-air lounge offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, craft cocktails, & gourmet bites. We arrived and were seated in the lounge area by the bar - the space was absolutely gorgeous. Halo staff were exceptional - polished & attentive. Manager & Master Mixologist, Evran had the best recommendations and whipped us up some gorgeous cocktails. Evran & Lauren ensured we had everything we needed while we dined. We started with cocktails. The Tequila Mockingbird was made with espolon blanco tequila, marigold, hibiscus, lime, & soda (to spice it up, it was made with ghost pepper tequila). The ghost pepper brought heat and complexity to this cocktail, and I loved it. The marigold & hibiscus added subtle floral sweetness (also the gorgeous pink color) while the lime & soda added brightness. The Sourpucker Spritz was made with midori, yuzu, umeboshi, pomegranate, prosecco, & soda water. The Sourpucker Spritz was refreshing with a nice balance of tart & sweet. The Jackfruit No-Hito was a zero-proof option made with seedlip, spiced umeboshi, jackfruit, mint, & soda. This non-alcoholic cocktail had a botanical base with notes of spice and citrus. The Brisket Griddle Burger was made with a double patty, lettuce, sweet onion, avocado, & cheese. It was served alongside sage fries and aioli. The double patties were blanketed in melty cheese & the meat had a rich, beefy flavor with a hint of smokiness. The Dungeness Crab Fried Rice was made with cucumber, avocado, mizuna, & cured yolk. The crab fried rice was savory & umami-rich in taste. The Little Gems Wedge Salad was made with double smoked bacon, cherry tomatoes, radish, pickled onion, & wasabi blue cheese dressing. I think I'd only go back if we could sit outside. $18 for a margarita that tasted poorly was outrageous. I've had $18 drinks that tasted ten times better. The Halo Rooftop Bar is an awesome place for Happy Hour. The spacious bright interior is only half the picture. It has a wonderful outdoor deck which has views of the mountains and south Denver. Came in really excited to check out this beautiful cocktail bar our friends have been raving about and even braved the cold because it was the only night my husband and I could get out of the house. When we got upstairs we were incredibly disappointed to see that they had decided to put on a massive tv for a college football game in what was otherwise a gorgeous cocktail bar.
