Came for brunch on Easter Sunday. Beautiful ambience, attentive service, delicious food; highly recommend. They just started brunch a few weeks ago. Apparently they have a speakeasy downstairs. Great atmosphere.

BEET TARTINE. Delicious flavor, but bread was too hard.

Très délicieux! I came here for a friend's birthday and we had such a lovely time! We stayed mostly vegetarian. I noticed most tables looked like people were on dates and the atmosphere makes it a nice date spot. I'm grateful they leave a few tables for walk-ins. YES: Yellow Rose Cocktail was well balanced and not too sweet, like lemon meringue pie. I want another one tomorrow. The TREVISO & ENDIVE SALAD and FRITES were my absolute favorites. There were so many flavors in the endive, and the French fries were the way French fries should be. I have not had Maitake mushrooms that I can remember. The flavor was complex, and the au jus was worthy of sopping it up with a piece of bread. The creme brûlée had a nice hard sugary crust and creamy center. Not complimentary even thought it was a birthday celebration. Maybe not: I love beets in all forms, and the Beet Tartine comes with beets raw, pureed, picked and roasted, but the bread crust was so hard I couldn't cut it, even with the provided steak knife. The Roasted Butternut squash was tasty, but did not stand out compared to the "yes" dishes above. The French Onion soup is a small little crock, very yummy, but so rich and salty, it was too rich for my taste. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes. I would enjoy chatting for with the bartender Colin, a drink historian, about Ben Franklin's favorite beverage. He share a little history with us, and it was fascinating. The cocktail DUKE OF MIREPOIX (gin, celery cordial, lime acid, whey, carbonation) has something to do with the history around the America Revolution and I will try it the next time I'm back.

An absolutely outstanding French dining experience. The venison was the undeniable star of the evening--perfectly cooked, impossibly tender, and layered with deep, rich flavor that showcased both the quality of the ingredient and the skill of the kitchen. Every bite was balanced and elegant, with accompaniments that enhanced rather than overwhelmed the dish. The atmosphere was classic and inviting, the service attentive without being intrusive, and the entire meal felt thoughtful and refined. If you're a fan of French cuisine--or even just curious--this venison alone is reason enough to return. Truly exceptional.

AMAZING STUNNING BEAUTIFUL! Loved every minute of this wonderful restaurant experience. It transported us into a different world walking in the views were amazing. All the decor and fancy bathroom sinks made this experience like no other. The cocktails were delicious and made to perfection. The food menu offers a delicious variety of flavors to try from. They also mention to order family style to share with the table. Its a nice place located in a lively area. You wouldn't expect to be walking into such a beautiful place looking at it from the outside, its a nice surprise.

We've been wanting to go to this place for a while but there's always a wait & reservations are not taken. So we arrived at 5:15pm & got right in. We were sat at a pretty small table but it was cozy, one side was a cushioned bench. The Drinks- I had Summer in Provence & that was refreshing & delicious! I also had their namesake drink La Forêt, I really liked this drink, it was a bit more boozy, buttery & not too sweet. Side note- we were joking that this is like Rain Forest Cafe for adults & shortly after the theatrics of my table side drink (La Forêt) it started making gurgling frog & thunder-like noises so we thought for a second there was a soundtrack going that sounds like a forest, but it was the dry ice from my drink. lol. The food- After sitting down I almost left because I scanned the limited menu & thought there isn't anything that I can eat that's GF. So I talked to the server & she said all of the protein entrees are GF. THANK GOODNESS! We had the fennel salad, beef bourguignon, the side maitake mushrooms, & pomme puree. And we had the creme brûlée, not my favorite that I've had, it was a little grainy. With all that said, I can't see this being a place that we would go back to anytime soon seeing as how the menu is so small, I'm sure it changes seasonally so maybe we would go back in spring or summer.

The coolest thing is the atmosphere! I mean, it's like you're transported into another dimension when you step inside. I ordered a couple of drinks and small bite at the bar. The Duke of Mirepoix is so trippy as it's made with celery liquor, a thing I didn't know existed prior! It def does taste like celery, too, hah. The onion soup I ordered was just ok for me. I noticed it's different in Denver most places I go versus what I'm used to in the midwest where I'm from. It's sweeter here, which I don't prefer my onion soup to be sweeter. My guess is that it's red wine vinegar but I haven't had the chance to ask if that's what's going on in these here parts. A cool hot date spot if you are looking for one! It's not inexpensive, though, so make sure it's what you're up for!

A girlfriend and I found this place on TikTok and thought to give it a try. *They so not take reservations so up when they open or expect to be waiting a while. Walking into La Foret is like walking into a whimsical fairy forest. Plants and trees everywhere. Many different seating types, group couch, 2 -3 person tables and bar seating. Most tables are fairly close together so keep that in mind. *Please use the restroom, one of the most unique sinks I have every used. Now the food, everything we tried was delicious. The fries are a must starter, the escargot was good, I like that it was deshelled already as well. The beef bourguignon and the pomme puree was the perfect combo. I can't wait to come back and try a few other items on the menu. Service was good, nothing notable though. Not many alcohol-free drink options and that would have been nice to see. Also, would love to see the artichoke come back. Overall, 4.5 out of 5 :)

The decor was so unique & well planned! Romantic forest vibes. Sinks were so unique & and experience in itself. We came for birthday dessert & cocktails . But the food looked amazing so we tried 2 dishes. One was a special of Butternut squash & blue cheese . Also we tried the baked chicken, crème brûlée & 2 cocktails. Food was so flavorful & seasoned just right . Very unique flavors & sauces that just sent your tastebuds over the top ! Bartender & staff were all on top of their game. Highly recommended unique dining experience in Denver !

Located in the heart of South Broadway, this is a cocktail-forward, French rustic restaurant with some of the best vibes in Denver with a heavy forest theme, incredible ambiance, and seriously cool restrooms. We stopped by in October, and I was impressed the moment I walked in. The vibe is on point, and the service was warm and welcoming. What we ordered: Baked Brie Frites Venison Tartine French Onion Soup Frog Legs Pomme Purée Stag Au Poivre Beef Bourguignon Crème Brûlée Beets & Goat Cheese (off the menu) Roasted Artichoke (off the menu) Traditional Pastis Service Yellow Rose La Foret Sun King Best bites: Their French onion soup might just be the best I've ever had - perfectly cheesy with rich veal broth. The beef bourguignon was tender, packed with flavor, and I could've licked the plate clean. The stag au poivre? Amazing and cooked to perfection. And baked brie... well, can you ever go wrong with baked brie? You can't! The pomme purée was so creamy and smooth, we ordered it twice . This is hands down one of the best French restaurants in the Denver. Don't miss out!

    Creme brûlée

Overall, this restaurant has an amazing moody ambiance and good French food. I know French food is typically richer, so definitely recommend the salad or something fresh to pair with all the dishes. Baked brie: Nothing out of the ordinary, would not get again unless a softer brie was chosen and the ratio of brie to bread was equal. Frites: Surprisingly, our favorite item on the menu and maybe the best fries we've ever had. Not greasy at all (truly mind blowing). And the truffle seasoning with garlic-rosemary aioli was addicting! Frog legs: Lacked flavor, very wet (not juicy), and rubbery. ESCARGOT AU CHAMPAGNE: Wish it was presented in the shells, but that did not take away from them being cooked perfectly. The sauce was also a notable mention for one of the best things we had here- could dip bread in that sauce all day! Half chicken: Dark and white meat were cooked well and not dry. Personally, wish there were more micro greens, but the morel jus was delish and perfectly salted. STAG AU POIVRE: Great item to share. Can get quite repetitive if eaten as a singular main course. The venison filet was soft as butter, paired well with a STRONG peppercorn cognac sauce. Creme brûlée: I've seen other reviews and noticed that their creme brûlée is more solid (which I prefer) ours was on the runnier side, but still had the perfect sweetness level for us and the right thickness for the sugar topping. Chocolate mousse: Beautiful thicker consistency. I love the level of sweetness.

Very whimsical and cool vibe. Cocktails were off the hook! Beef Bourginon was a bit fatty but so so good. The stag (venison) was AMAZING as was the fennel salad. Friend had the chicken and ate every single bite. Riley was our wait person and took excellent care of us. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK

I was surprised with dinner at La Foret as a belated birthday gift and I couldn't have been more thrilled to finally go there. We were seated right away and the decor and ambiance were just what I expected- cozy and peaceful. Our server, Megan, was friendly and upbeat and had helpful suggestions about the menu. We started with the baked brie and escargot. The brie was served in a small metal pot with bruschetta. It was delicious and I'm told the escargot was in a rich broth and seasoned well - served with a rosemary garlic bread. I couldn't bring myself to try it though. Then I had the rack of lamb. It was 2 bones, served very rare but the flavor was amazing. I let Megan know that the lamb was not very tender where it was most rare and she said the kitchen wouldn't serve it any other way and wouldn't cook it more. She did offer to bring me a different knife but that wouldn't have helped. I was disappointed in that response and would have expected something more at a restaurant of this caliber. At least I should have been told up front that the lamb was served very rare. Anyway, the taste was good but I'd go with a different option if I went back.

8/26/2025 Foret by far is not only beautiful and different but has amazing staff; Collin and Mary at the bar were super sweet and friendly, Collin suggested drinks and gave me a run down of the food and drinks. The GM Connor who happens to be from Tulsa came over to say hi (friendly and handsome). You would expect a cocky vibe since the place is so popular for its food and aesthetics but the staff is so down to earth and inviting... that place would definitely be my regular if I lived nearby!!

I looked online and found that they were hosting an all Vinyl 80's dance party with no cover charge on Saturday night... how cool is that!! So, we took a rideshare from Downtown to The Delorean. I am not familiar with that area of town, but there looked to be several bars and restaurants nearby. Anyway, upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a library of cassette tapes. Then, we wandered further to see lots of neon lights and neon carpeting, cases of nostalgia featuring various toys and games from the 80's, as well as lot's of music posters. The cocktail menu was super cool, with drinks named after 80's songs and movies. There was a fun little photo booth in back. I ordered a Pretty in Pink cocktail, which featured jasmine and rose gin with champagne and elderflower liquor with a huge champagne bubble. My friend ordered the She-Ra Colada because it came it a really cute Tiki cup. I think she enjoyed it because she ordered a second. That night, there was an Ape (yes a man in an ape suit) playing 80's vinyl all night. Also, he was giving away records. If you enjoyed a song, you could ask and he would give you the record after it finished playing. I brought home a single by the Klymaxx (Meeting in the Ladies' Room). My friend and I had an absolute blast. We danced the night away and made 80's music-loving friends who we shared stories with about various 80's bands. A server wearing Strawberry Shortcake served us drinks at our table all night. The only bummer is that the dance night went from 9- midnight. After the Ape DJ left, the music was a bit on the quiet side, so we left rather than staying to dance, as the dance party had ended and it was still early. All in all, though I was disappointed, as I wanted to dance until 2AM, The Delorean was still one of my absolute favorite experiences during my Denver weekend stay.

I actually found parking literally right in front, so it wasn't bad at all. There's also super cute outdoor seating. When you walk in, there's a sign saying an 18% service fee is included, so just keep that in mind before ordering. I ordered the empanadas: one steak, one chicken jalapeño, and one chicken and they were all SO good. Fresh meat, flavorful, and they came out super fast. Definitely recommend trying them. One thing that threw me off a little was the menu situation with the bandeja paisa. Usually bandeja paisa comes with carne asada/grilled steak, but here they have a version called bandeja montañera that comes with ground beef instead. Personally, that was a little disappointing because I was really looking forward to a more traditional bandeja paisa. As for service, the woman taking our order wasn't rude or anything, just a bit serious and not super warm/friendly. But the lady bringing out the food was SO sweet every single time she came by. She honestly balanced out the experience because she was incredibly kind. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight and I'd still come back to try more dishes!

The staff was really friendly and I enjoyed the open concept kitchen where you could watch them preparing the food. The menu has a nice variety of options including gluten free and vegetarian options. We didn't have any drinks this nice but the beverage menu seemed nice as well. We both got a pizzette and a salad and everything was incredible! My friend ordered a gluten free sausage and jalepeno and enjoyed it. I got the side salad with house vinegrette and the prosciutto, burrata, and arugula- it was absolutely amazing. My mouth is watering thinking about how tasty it was. I especially enjoyed the sourdough crust. We will definitely be back for more!

They focus on naturally leavened sourdough pizzas made with a starter brought from Brooklyn and high quality ingredients, and it shows. I'm very lucky to live about 7 minutes away, which honestly feels like a blessing because it's just that good. Everything impressed me, starting with the frosé and then the lunch special, which is one of the best deals I've seen: any pizza, a house salad, and a bottle of wine. It's hard to beat. The pizzas themselves are sourdough-based and really well done. You can tell there's a lot of care put into the ingredients and execution. The space is also a big part of the experience. The rooftop patio has great mountain views, and there are plenty of spots if you want to hang out, work, or just relax with a coffee. Overall, this is an easy go-to spot for me now. I'll definitely be back... probably very soon.
