What was once a trendy and decent restaurant is slowly becoming another overrated, overpriced place on my skip list in Denver. We paid $80 for two drinks, 1 app and 1 entree to share (n/i tip). The rooftop having nice views is the only redeeming quality. While I completely understand inflation, when you have to self order and serve your own water (the cups were extremely dirty looking/stained) and the portions are very small, it feels like this restaurant isn't even trying to be good anymore. Sad to see it's gone downhill since last time I was here (years ago) and hopefully it improves for everyone else's sake. read more

My family took me to Linger for my birthday and it was fantastic. The food is designed to be shareable, with tapas style small bites and big bowl entrees. The egg rolls, shockingly, were a star. Three times longer than normal rolls or lumpia, but crisper and more flavor. The pork bao bun is super rich and filling. The duck fried rice is a must, but it is so rich it needs to be shared. Our server was friendly and fast, and was quick to ensure we were happy if things didn't come out on time. The atmosphere is perfect for family or date nights, it ia just a cool spot. read more

I've been to Linger a few times now, including celebrating both my birthday and a friend's birthday there, and it's always been a great experience. The food has consistently been delicious, and the atmosphere is one of my favorite things about the restaurant. Linger is situated on what used to be a mortuary. Spooky! However, there is nothing spooky about the service, food, and atmosphere here. It's all peachy! The atmosphere is super nice. Especially on a day with the sun out and a slight breeze, make sure to sit by the open windows for a phenomenal experience while looking at the Denver Downtown view. Bonus points if you get their bottomless mimosas! I was impressed with their food. I got a Mongolian BBQ Duck Bao as well as the Maine Lobster Roll. The bao was too salty for me but I typically like my food on the bland side. The lobster roll was great! I have had lobster rolls before with a weak portion of lobster but there was plenty on the one at Linger. The side of potatoes excellently complemented the lobster roll. TLDR: Elderflower Spritz is light & refreshing. Carrot Cake French toast was to die for. You might be a bit warm if you sit upstairs. It was 100 degrees outside so naturally we were a bit warm up there, but it wasn't unbearable. Casual vibes here - jeans, shorts, tshirts throughout. We ordered Elderflower Spritz's to start. They were absolutely delightful. Light and very refreshing. We also had their seasonal specialty Cashew Queso. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The cashew flavor wasn't overwhelming, it more so added a lovely bit of creaminess to the delicious homemade queso dip. We also shared the Carrot Cake French Toast. I truly have no words for how spectacular this dish was. I'll be fantasizing about it for the rest of my days. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft, rich, and cakey on the inside - paired with a scoop of some sort of fantastic whipped cream cheese *chefs kiss* Highly recommend getting this to share. If you're bold enough to order it as your entree, be prepared to take a nap shortly afterwards. I also ordered the "Make Your Own Breakfast" with cheddar cheese scrambled eggs and a side of avocado & home fries. It was all amazing. I can't believe it's been 5 years since I last visited Linger! I love the Edible Beats restaurant family. I'm pretty sure I still have a little money left on a gift card and would love to come back again. The most recent time was for a work dinner. We ordered an assortment of dishes to share. Their cocktails are tasty, though I don't recall which ones I tried. Not a bad seat in the house, either. I'm always a fan of their Devils on Horseback. I enjoyed the Steamed Bao and Sweet Potato Fries more than last time, though YEARS ago my visit was during the pandemic. The Ube Ice Cream was unique - would recommend. Actually, it's crazy to look at my food pictures from both visits and realize I basically ordered the same things. There are lots more options on the menu, which I'll try next time! read more

This was the best meal I've had in a long time. I loved every single thing I ate - my favorites were the sliders, dates and cheese curds. If I had to leave anything it would be the chicken satay (not photographed), but it was very well done. It was also one of my favorite vibes I've had in a restaurant - tastefully moody but inviting. I have a bit different opinion about this place now as I dined at this place with my daughter about a week or so ago on a Wednesday and from service to food to ambiance, everything went quite well (to my surprise.) Hence, I must write. We showed up to our 5:30pm reservation. We were immediately seated unlike the last time (at our last dining occasion 6+ months or so ago, despite making a reservation, we had to wait for AT LEAST 10-15 minutes or a bit longer until they had a table for us.) This sure was a nice start. Then our waitress, Lauren (Lo is how she goes by, I believe) was exceptional. Her attentiveness coupled with her quiet and yet eloquent delivery of speech to explain several different menus and her familiarity with them was top notch. She was also able to make great suggestions as to which dish(es) we should get when we stumbled. Some dishes were a bit too salty to my liking and yet overall, they entertained our palates and stomachs. To mention some of them, the presentation of the Crispy Filipino Spring Rolls (2) ($7 from the HH menu) was creative. The long skinny deep-fried spring rolls were unapologetically and perfectly deep-fried with the nicest crispiness. The two sauces that accompanied the rolls added some enhancement to the whole savoring. The Smashed Wagyu Sliders' meat was quite rich. HH price of $8.5 is one-piece price and we ordered two of those. The portion size was decent. Anything that's wagyu can be pricey; I can call $8.5 a decent price. My daughter wanted skewers so we got us the Bison Steak Kushiyaki based on our wonderful waitress' suggestion. The meat was quite tender. Well-seasoned. Now our dessert to conclude our night - and once again, based on our wonderful waitress' suggestion - we went with the Maduros & Crema (roasted plantain, crema de queso mousse, smoked almond & cotija). This truly shocked us as we had never had a dessert quite like this before. Although this takes long to prepare (as our waitress explained), it was worth the wait. $12 (as of early March of 2026) seemed like a fare price for it as the portion size justified it. I think I will dine at Linger again. Although it still isn't my absolute favorites, our last week's dining experience became a reason as to why we should consider Linger as we see fit. read more

Well... I used to really love Linger but this last experience was really just ok. For starters, it was extremely hot in the restaurant and incredibly loud even though it wasn't really that busy which just made it uncomfortable. The server was very nice though but the food.... Meh... we went for brunch and my mom had the BLT Biscuit which came out cold, she liked the salad however the plate was so hot it made her salad warm. I had the Denver Omelette Sammy and it was ok. It says it's a crumpet but it was 100% an English muffin and it just wasn't great. There just wasn't much flavor and the home fries were too salty. Maybe it was just a bad day... The drink prices were very high; two of us purchased the rose bubbly, and the pour size was very small f"and cost $16 per drink. My partner had a beer. My drink, plus his beer, plus tip was $30. Yikes! Neither drinks were fancy and a bottle of MCBRIDE SISTERS sparkling rose in a liquor store is $17.99. I know that venues and restaurants upcharge, however, for the pour size...ridiculous. This is a cool restaurant and bar that used to be a Mortuary. It has very comfy seating with an open air view of the funky Highlands area of downtown. Our server, Katie was attentive and also offered several great suggestions on the menu. The three of us opted to start with 2 of the pork belly Bao-so delicious! We then had the potstickers which were so flavorful on their own that they did not need the dipping sauce. Then we shared the duck confit fried rice which did not disappoint. We were pleasantly satiated with those three items that we did not have room for anything else. The bar on the second level looked like the old Light Brite game above and on the bar top. So fun! Tried Linger for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week and had a good overall experience. The special was $45 per person for a three-course meal, plus an amuse and specials on different alcoholic drinks. I went with one other person, which worked out well because we were able to try a lot of different dishes. For starters we chose the Mongolian BBQ Duck Bao Buns and the Crispy Togarashi Brussel Sprouts with pickled mushroom, hot honey, and yuzu kosho aioli. The bao had good flavor but could have used more fresh textural elements. That being said the brussel sprouts were delicious! They were crispy with a really nice balance of sweet, savory, and a little heat. For mains we ordered the Crispy Trout and the Hanger Steak. The trout was the standout of the night it was super flavorful with punchy spices and just the right level of heat in the sauce. The different textural elements in the dish with the fresh notes and crunchy notes kept the dish so interesting. The hanger steak was a bit disappointing in comparison. The beans on the plate were slightly tough and overall the flavors didn't quite come together the way we hoped. For dessert we had the Italian Coffee and Donuts and the Maduros and Crema. The donuts paired with the chocolate ganache were fantastic. The maduros dish was really creative and interesting conceptually, though for my personal taste it leaned a bit too sweet. For drinks, I tried the Resting Place cocktail (lavender vodka, raspberry, lemon, and tonic), which was very refreshing and well balanced. Service throughout the meal was incredible and the dishes came out perfectly paced, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The only downside is that parking in the area can be tough, so plan ahead. Overall, a a fun Restaurant Week meal with great service and I will definitely be coming back to try their regular menu! read more

Linger's food definitely surprised me, but in a good way! You have the option of sitting in the restaurant or going up to their rooftop, however, their rooftop has less food options than the actual restaurant, so beware. Me and my friend ended up on the rooftop, since we wanted to be seated more quickly. We decided to split the smash burger and the ramen. The smash burger was perfectly seasoned! The hot honey sweet potato fries were unique and very tasty. The ramen was also a surprise! It was also very cold that day in Denver, so it was the perfect entree to split. The broth was pretty flavorful for being a fusion restaurant. I would definitely be curious to eat from their full menu in the future to try other food options, but I would say Linger is a great spot that would satisfy many different tastebuds! read more

We have always had dinners at linger and never had the chance to try their brunch - I must say, I like the brunch here too! Got a half order of the pandan waffle and regretted my decision on not getting the whole order!! This waffle is just too good to miss out on especially if you like pandan. I also saw another item with Ube Pandan - I'm sure that must be really good too. I got the breakfast dosa and my husband got the birria tamale - both really good. I did wish if my dosa was a tad bit hot! It was crispy and I loved the addition of apricots in my dosa. The tamale was birria heavy which my husband loved. Service is always good out here. The pork belly is crispy and soft with adequate flavor. Fried chicken bao 5/5. I love the orange sauce. The fried chicken is crispy Duck bao 4/5. I think duck bao was okay. What happened to the best part? Duck skin?! It didn't exist sadly. DUNGENESS CRAB BURRITO 5/5 is a total recommendation! The wrap is Okonomiyaki Style of Scallion Pancake. Inner fillings include Soft Scrambled Egg, Kewpie & Bonito Flakes, and obviously Crab. The combination is fantastic. Scallion pancake is ultra thin, crispy, not as thick, boring, and bad carb as tortilla. It is served with okonomiyaki sauce, making it more flavorful. CHURRO FRENCH TOAST 5/5. It doesn't come with maple syrup but is served with Salted Cream Cheese Whip. The toppings include Grilled Pineapple & Smoked Almonds. I don't know what kind of bread they use but it was so fluffy. While the outside churro style crust is crispy, It melted in my mouth with every bite. Service was fantastic. Food was serve slow though. There is a mandatory 5%b service fee whatever. This was actually my third time at Linger - surprised I haven't reviewed yet! First time was on the roof for frozen cocktails and waffle fries, second time was during restaurant week. Third time will be the review below! Came with the hubs and baby on a Friday night around 5:30 for drinks and dinner. Despite the early hour it was bumping! We made reservations so didn't have to wait for a table. They were able to get us a spot to accommodate the stroller, but it was a pretty tight fit and a bit louder than I would have liked for little baby ears. I think it was the best they could do, though. All the staff was helpful, attentive and everything came out quickly. For drinks, I went with the Mojave Muerte which was different in a most delicious way and my husband had the Baharat Old-fashioned and very happy with his choice. And now, the food! We started with the Sweet Plantains - top notch. I wouldn't mind having those on a daily basis. Next up came the Korean Fried Chicken Bao - some of the best bao I've had of late. Perfect flavor and texture and just yum. Our larger dish was the Duck Fried Rice and I have to say, pretty unimpressive and a big reason why I couldn't give full marks. It was boring and way too salty and absolutely not worth the price. We did end on a high note though with the Dubai Chocolate Bombe - tasty but the pistachio did not come through which was a little disappointing. We had a reservation for a bday dinner at 6 for 3 people and while it did take a bit for us to get seated despite the reservation and the restaurant being only 1/4 full, the overall experience was amazing! We ordered the duck fried rice $22, Korean bbq tacos $15 (plus I think $7 to add another taco to make it 3), chicken satay $15.50, ginger chili shrimp $15, crispy duck wings $16, and ube ice cream $7.50. Duck fried rice was good! The basmati rice was different but pretty good. They were able to accommodate and put the mushrooms on the side for us. The Korean bbq tacos were decent. I wouldn't necessarily call them Korean flavored but they were definitely bbq flavored. They're more like Korean inspired if anything. It was nice that they could accommodate and add another taco for an additional charge! The chicken satay was okay to me. I didn't care for the sauce. The ginger chili shrimp on the other hand was so good but it was on the salty side so I had to chug water. My absolute favorite was the crispy duck wings which is a shame they're only a seasonal item! I would order these every single time (and go here more often) if they were a permanent addition to the menu! The staff was super friendly and answered any questions we had. Because 2 of us ordered drinks, the bar gave us 2 free shots of one of their lavender drinks and the kitchen gave us a mini appetizer that was really good and also not in the menu unfortunately. Service was awful. And the 2 1/2 hours we were there we saw our waitress all of three times. It took 20 minutes from us sitting down to see her for the first time, then another 20 minutes or so until we would finally order drinks. once we ordered food, (a salad and fries) we did not see her again for another hour. We would've loved a refill on our drinks and to order 1 or 2 more dishes but literally never saw her then when we got our checks, we saw there was a 6% service charge for "employee wellness ". We asked the waitress what this was for and if it went to the employees - she claims she had no idea what it was for and that the employees do not see the 6% at all...idk something about it just rubbed us the wrong way.
