Solid service and solid food. Quick clean nutritious bites. Enjoyed my Baja Chicken Salad! Well structured menu and enjoyed the vibes sitting on the curb side patio.

I stopped here to fuel up before a beer fest that I knew wouldn't have anything for the vegans. I got the Buddha Bowl and a cookie. Both tasted great, but the bowl wasn't very filling. My friends got the Arugula and Goat Cheese Salad and Aleppo Steak Sandwich--both were pleased with their choices. Overall, this is a good choice if you're looking for a light bite.

I love a good Caesar salad and I love to get it everywhere I go! I ordered the salmon one at modern market and it was so good! I always love getting take out here after class because everything is so healthy and I don't feel crappy after eating here. It's always lively around lunch time and super busy. Some other items I like getting here are the garden steak and urban farmer!

Healthy, delicious and fast! I've eaten at Modern Market Eatery a couple of times when I've traveled to Denver for work and appreciate the fresh options they offer! Sometimes you just need a quick lunch that's tasty and nutritious, and Modern Market delivers. I like their salads and sandwiches. Tomato soup was decent but not amazing. -1 star for cleanliness and organization. This spot seems perpetually understaffed so the housekeeping could be improved.

I really enjoyed this! It's kind of similar to Sweet Green but less expensive. Did a build my own salad, which amounted to about $16 after tax and tip. It was not an excessive amount of food but a very reasonable meal. This location is right on the 16th street mall. It has WiFi and a lot of indoor seating. A good spot for lunch and doing work before or after catching a train at Union Station. Appreciate the vegan and GF options!

Fresh, fast, and reliable spot right on 16th Street Mall! During our cross-country road trip, my dad and I spent a morning exploring Denver and found ourselves at the 16th Street Mall. I was in the mood for something light but filling, and Modern Market Eatery totally fit the bill. I ordered the salmon Caesar salad, swapped the Caesar dressing for balsamic vinaigrette, and was really happy with the result! The ingredients tasted fresh and balanced, and while the salmon was a little on the dry side, it still had solid flavor and seasoning. Service was quick and efficient, which I always appreciate when traveling. The restaurant itself had good vibes to it also. The only hiccup was that one of the women's restroom stalls was out of order, which left a bit of a line; otherwise, no complaints. This is a great option if you're in downtown Denver and want something healthy, quick, and reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone needing a good midday pick-me-up!

Super fresh, healthy & delicious food. I tried their curry salmon bowl - really satisfying meal.

Had a mushroom pizza with the side arugula and goat cheese salad. That salad slapped. Pizza was tasty too. Decent option if you're near 16th!

While staying in Denver we came here as we love a good grain bowl, and wanted something a bit healthier. Upon arriving we got in line and browsed the menu, when it was our turn to order I had a question about one of the items and if it could be modified as I was considering ordering it but when I asked, the cashier turned around, left the register and started making salads, and another worker came up. The new worker that came up didn't understand my question, and ultimately I decided to order a chicken grain bowl. The food came out quickly which we thought was great! The food in my bowl was all room temperature/cold as if it had been sitting out. My husband had the same problem with his. We thought that maybe it was supposed to be a cold bowl, so we went ahead and tried it. It only took a few bites to then uncover the "sketchy chicken" pieces. After seeing these I refused to eat the remainder of the bowl. It's extremely unfortunate because the menu concept seemed neat, the prices were a bit higher, so I was really hoping for a quality meal, but was left hungry and out thirty dollars. I wouldn't recommend coming to this location currently. I do hope they are able to get it together in the future as it does have a neat menu and good potential!

The menu offered enough variety that any diet preferences or restrictions could find a delicious option. The gentalme that took my oddr was patient and helpful as this was my first visit. The space is bright and soothing. It felt clean and inviting. I ordered the build your own bowl with salmon, sweet potato mash, an arugula with goat cheese salad! It was delicious. I would recommend this as a quick nutritious option in downtown Denver!

Staff were friendly and menu had various options! We ordered various dishes including chicken and steak bowl/ salad and steak sandwiches. Unfortunately both chicken and steak were very dry and chewy! However we loved the drink selection particularly the cucumber mint. Pizza was good too.

The ambiance was indeed attractively designed, bright and open, not too loud even though we sat ourselves near the kitchen. We ordered from menus with our smart phones, and our drinks and food arrived promptly. I ordered the Shakshuka, a northern African dish of stewed tomatoes with feta cheese and spices served with warm crusty garlic bread. A perfectly poached egg was nestled on top, and the dish was accompanied by a side salad of baby lettuces dressed very sparingly in oil and vinegar. Now, ordinarily, for me more is more when it comes to condiments. But the way the salad was dressed allowed the flavors of the lettuces to come through, and its blend of tart and slightly bitter was the perfect foil to the shakshuka, which was hearty, delicious, and spicy indeed! The stew was a generous portion that could be easily shared if you ordered an extra side of garlic bread, which I did. I was lucky to be able to request it from an employee who came around to ask how our meal was. The overall experience was memorable in the best way. I'm already craving the Shakshuka!

Not the icky too sweet, too sour that I taste in others. The hummus also tasted very freshly made and was good, but they did not put anywhere near enough on the board. The ratio was so bad, it was like 1/4 cup of hummus and 8 triangles of pita, not to mention if you were to dip anything other than the pita in the hummus. It really needed like 3 to 4 times the amount of hummus I got. Then, they're weren't any vegetables to dip other than pickled beets. Something like carrots, celery, radish, cucumber, tomato... anything! The olives are a nice side bite, I love olives, but you need more veggies. The price for that was way overpriced and that was their "happy hour" deal, too. Ok, come on now! They also have some cocktails and wine for $5 - 6 for HH so, that is a good deal -- daily 3-5pm. The patio outside is pretty large. But, ps you not supposed to leave with your drink whether inside or outside. Terminal bar you can wander more on the inside.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted. The cashier was especially thoughtful and took the time to help me decide what to order for lunch. I ultimately chose the bánh mì, and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich was packed with flavor and served on a lightly toasted roll. It was easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Beyond the food, everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. This is definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in Denver!

review from mid May, 2026…read more This Yampa Sandwich Co. location is close to Union Station. It was my go-to after deplaning from Calif. and the metro transit. Good customer service as (solo?) staff member juggled a few in-person diners and takeaway orders. Not crowded on a Monday evening, so no waiting... but I made it in time for the last call for the soup of the day. Feel both dehydrated and not overly hungry, the Sherpa vegetarian was a great rec: roasted eggplant, asiago, sweet roasted red peppers, tomato, romaine lettuce, and garlic mayo. The sandwich master behind the counter happily subbed the lighter whole wheat slices for the French baguette. I enjoyed the playlist and the table top maps allowed me to remember a 2019 trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.

However, we ended up showing up an hour before our reservation hoping to just get seated and we got in right away. Cassey was our incredible waiter and he made the night very memorable. After learning it was our first time there, he very patiently walked us through the menu and how the restaurant generally worked with serving sizes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ambience was great and cozy. We sat on the patio and it was mildly windy but it still felt nice being kept away in a corner of downtown. Starting with the appetizers, you HAVE TO get the burrata with some bread. It's the perfect flavor combination with the texture of the bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious. The salad was also a really great refreshing balance with the heavier burrata and bread. It's such a simple salad with the most amazing flavors of pickled shallots, buttermilk dressing, and Parmesan. They truly have some of the best cheeses ever. For the mains, I got the lobster tagliatelle and my partner got the lamb rigatoni. We also got smashed potatoes to share with cheese. Everything was impeccable. I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!

There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. Today, I specifically visited Call Your Mother, a Jewish deli, and Izzio Bakery. Atmosphere: Since I went right around the time they opened, the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie.
