Shakshuka Danish

Came here after a morning run and I got the iced mocha and Shakshuka croissant. I've never had anything like this and the flavor and texture is amazing - it's must try!

My friends and I shared a cake slice there. It was a little dry but not too sweet. There was a lot of seating inside and the ambiance was cozy. The staff was very friendly and kind. We got a table for 6 and ate the cake while playing games. It was really nice cafe.

Little Finch is lovely! Located in bustling downtown but still keeps a cozy cafe vibe. We came in the summer but I bet it's great in the winter with that fireplace going. Decently sized outdoor patio. Staff was friendly and spot was clean. We both had the Bleeker Street cocktails (think Manhattan) and each enjoyed it. Nice and strong but still flavorful beyond booze. We also split a slice of carrot cake which was delicious (though I'd vote for having cream cheese frosting) - would totally get that again. Had no trouble finding a spot to park our stroller where my husband and I could also relax. I will say it could have used more outlets - especially along the front wall that looks ripe for those wanting to get some work done. I'd also love to see a changing table in one of the bathrooms. That little gesture makes a difference for moms like me!

This chocolate almond croissant was to die for!

This is a very cute space, with good service and good food. I had a latte, which was decent, a breakfast sandwich, which was also decent, and a chocolate almond croissant, which was out of this world delicious. Little Finch is on the 16th Street Mall, so very convenient for those staying near the convention center.

3x shot caramel latte $9.67

Cute atmosphere, delicious looking pastries. I'm only going to speak for my $9.67 triple shot iced caramel latte. It's not good and it's egregiously over priced. Tastes like pure flavored syrup not a hint of coffee insight. Which tends to be common that's why I always add the extra shot, still to no avail. I probably won't come back.

We came to Little Finch because of a promotion they were a part of. Restaurant was clean, bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly... but they were out of the majority of the items needed to make their drinks that were part of the promotion. Out of 11 drinks, they could make two. Very disappointing. We ordered the two drinks and they were not great. We also ordered a lemon bar and that was really good and had a nice tart lemon flavor.

Loved this place!! Cute corner spot with lots of windows and natural light, warmly decorated with industrial lighting fixtures and furniture with wood tones. Decent enough amount of seating, someone was leaving as we were sitting so our party of 5 was able to push a couple small tables together and have a nice place to sit. I ordered the roasted carved turkey and fig sandwich - delicious. The sourdough bread added a little texture and the fig jam was the perfect accent to the fresh warm turkey. I also had a cinnamon roll which was its own flaky crispy style and so delicious, as well as a peppermint shaken espresso - everything was perfect. My family had the avocado toast, the ham and cheese croissants, and the hot apple ciders. Everyone loved what they ordered. Can't wait to come back here.

Dirty hot sauce containers All 3 bottles were like this.

Pastries were fresh and a good variety. We got the cinnamon creme muffin, pumpkin bread slice, egg and cheese burrito with 2 lattes. Everything was tasty. Burrito needed hot sauce but was good and good size. Service was friendly. About $31 for everything. only suggestion is all the hot sauce containers need a good cleaning. The sides and tops of all of them were kinda gross for such a nice place. Ok so one more thing. I noticed they were bringing some people's food and drinks out and others they just called their names. Not sure but guessing that if you tip at the counter then maybe they will serve it to you otherwise you just pick up from counter. If so, I think that's fair. I like that policy.

I loved almost everything about this spot. The service was fantastic, the food was delish, and the coffee was perfect. The only thing I don't love is that it is located on 16th street but what can ya do? The customer service of the gal at the front was so amazing and refreshing. She walked me through the pastry case and guided me to the quiche florentine. I am so happy I took her recommendation because it was out of this world. The coffee was perfection and put a pep in my step. I would 100% recommend this spot to friends when they come in town!

Came in with the family due to the reviews and pictures. We really wanted to like this joint. We did love the space and decor, very tastefully done! I approached this review from the point of view that my wife and I are home cooks/bakers (who throw home parties and are part-time caterers) and my son being a chef. We reluctantly ordered, seeing that some of the food is pre-made and just being heated. I ordered the smoked salmon tartine, which was rubbery and the toast was cold and soft. She ordered the blueberry scone, it was hard and somehow lacked blueberry flavor. We didn't finish it and threw it away. My cold brew coffee was good, but Boss Lady took her latte back to be re-heated because it was already cold. Sorry y'all, we won't be back

An awesome outdoor area that looks like a lovely place to hang on a warm sunny day.

I found "Little Finch" by serendipity...literally wanting dessert, and making a turn to "see where this road takes me" and found this very lovely cafe. Probably the best, most lovely cafe I've visited in a long while. I visited very late in the day and they still had some pastries left ! Bought two that looked and sounded awesome but there were plenty (left) to chose from...if I was at all thinking rationally I should have bought one pastry because they both looked rich and more than capable of satisfying my sweet tooth craving ! The two I bought: The "Nutella pop tart " was a delicious and decadent rendition of the pop tarts I grew up on. In fact so decadent..I couldn't finish it during that sitting. The "Vegan date bar", has the texture of fudge...so, so good... as any dessert I've had in a while...great texture, flavor and sweetness. I also got an Americano, to wash it all down, that had a wonderful chocolate note...served in a mug that reminded me of one I had a home. The pastries, the americano, the service/people and vibe was beyond. I wish I could come here every afternoon and repeat this experience.

This place is one of my favorite cafes, with well rounded offerings from coffee, alcoholic beverages, wine, fresh pressed juices, food, pastries and cakes. What really stands out for me are their cakes. I've tried every single one with the chocolate fudge being my ultimate must have at least once a month. Yes they re pricy for their size, but packed with quality and taste out of this world. Definitely a must try, and don't forget to let it sit out to acclimate to room temperate before engulfing. Their flatbreads are a great choice as well. They have a plethora of coffee drinks from classics to specialty ones. I typically stick to espressos, Americanos, or drip coffee, but I tried the Cafe De Olla and actually enjoyed it. The service is always delightful and pleasant. The interior is comfortable and well lit, and very modern with a warm finish. There is ample seating inside and out. Overall a place to check out when living in or visiting downtown Denver., it won't disappoint.

Blueberry scones, breakfast sandwich, and Nutella pop tart.

Staff were super friendly. Nitro cold brew was strong and tasty. Baked goods were delicious. We are visiting from out of town and I wish we had more time to come back here to try other things.

Well, I have visited this restaurant 3 times. All 3 times have been for a holiday brunch or…read moredinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

During the last few Denver Restaurant Week events, I've tried to take the offerings as an…read moreopportunity to sample restaurants that I haven't tried, or otherwise may not try, and see if I can add to my list of favorites. I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.
