We always like to scope out the best coffee spots ahead of time. Little Owl did not disappoint! First, it's always difficult to find ceremonial grade Matcha wherever you go. Most of the time it's Matcha mixed with a bunch of other stuff and at best it's culinary grade. The Matcha here was vibrant in color, smooth and slightly nutty. I elected to sweeten it with simple syrup and had it Americano. My husband opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk and while we've stopped at several places so far, this is the best latte we've had on our roadtrip. They make all of their syrups in house and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. The cafe is small and quaint. It does open up into a larger building with additional seating. Customer service was on point, and we even joked about the different types of Matcha and how some places use a ton of fillers and sugar.

I tried the Vanilla Latte which was nicely sweetened, creamy, and soothing. The espresso was pulled well and gave me the caffeine kick I needed to start my day. The coffee breath was unpleasant, and we were glad to have mints to eliminate the taste. The pretzel/croissant with ham and cheese was served cold. The staff was very efficient, but they were heads down and nose to the grindstone. There wasn't a warm greeting when we entered, and service felt transactional. They were very busy, but there was still plenty of seating. The seating is extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere is bright, interesting, and extremely pleasant. The music was a little loud for conversation. Parking was no problem on a Saturday at 10 AM. Some parking is metered.
