I ordered an iced tiramisu latte half sweet and my friend got a chocolate croissant, she wanted it warmed up but didn't ask if it was possible but it still tasted good. Denver Union Station is a very large, very beautiful monument to the idea that old trains are romantic. Inside sits Pigtrain Coffee, which sells organic beans from a local roaster called Conscious Coffee, and pastries made by an executive chef, or so I am told. The iced latte I purchased was perfectly adequate. It was cold and it was wet, which are the two primary things an iced latte must be. The organic beans did their duty, though my nervous system could not tell the difference between these sustainable crops and the regular kind. The drink did its job with no particular ambition. The prices are exactly what you expect when you buy a liquid near expensive historic architecture. There is a five percent surcharge added to the bill. Three percent of it goes to preserving the old station, and two percent goes toward a fair wage fee for the staff. This means you are paying for history and economic justice at the exact same time you are paying for espresso. The staff members moved with the heavy, unhurried rhythm of a long afternoon. Nobody was unkind to me, but nobody seemed terribly excited about the grand human comedy of caffeine distribution either. They simply, eventually, handed over the cups. If you need to drink something before you walk out into Wynkoop Plaza or board a train, this establishment will do. It is fine. Some days, fine is all the universe has on offer. read more

Super convenient location inside the Union station, across from the Crawford Hotel where my husband and I are staying for the weekend. We ordered a cafe latte and a blueberry pancake latte as well as a lemon poppyseed scone. Service was quick The staff was friendly and helped us out with our 25% off benefit as hotel guests. Just ordered an iced horchata latte and it hit perfectly. Not too sweet nor too bitter but I can taste the coffee. She was quick too serving the drink. I've been there twice now and NEED to go back for their intriguing coffee cocktail menu! I'm not sure why I continue to be surprised when coffee shops here in Denver, offer coffee cocktails! Makes sense! Why not?! I love it. I feel delighted when I see it. I have been enjoying coffee cocktails for as long as I can remember! However, I was on a sugar-free binge when I happed upon PigTrain so I ordered your basic iced oat milk latte!! And it was very delightful. Light, fresh, rich with espresso flavor and the perfect amount of ice to chill it. I love the straw free cold cup tops and the staff, both times were very conversational and friendly! They do have a small selection of pastries, but I would say this place is about quality and delivery. I love the trendy color-drenched pink salmon walls in the shop meeting the fresh mint color-drenched walls of the ice cream shop next door! It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience for a gal on a break between gigs! I had passed by their previous kiosk installation so many times and never cared, but I love their new space! Cute little coffee shop inside Union station, the line was long but the coffee was yummy! I tried the seasonal peppermint latte and i loved it! They had a pretty expansive menu with lots of options and i almost tried a London fog tea but after asking the man at the register his opinion he said this was yummy and i am happy i went with this instead, it was so pleasant to have to sip as we walked around the area. The prices are average and fair for the area, and they have cute branded merch all over that they sell, adding to their aesthetic. The tiramisu latte was delicious! I was visiting Denver for the weekend; this shop in Union Station was convenient. The station is lovely and spacious, and there is a really great bookstore on the other side. But I'm getting distracted - back to the coffee. Lots of selections, reasonable prices, service was friendly and fast. There was a case of pastries and baked goods, they all looked great, though somehow I resisted. I definitely could come back here next time I'm in Denver, particularly since I would probably end up wandering over to Tattered Cover bookstore. read more

I love finding coffee shops that cater to non-coffee drinkers like myself. The ice matcha latte was very bold, very matchay which I loved but it was slightly too sweet. I substituted the milk for a non-dairy option. If I was in the area again in the morning, I would drop in for a quick drink. Great spot to stop if you're coming from the airport to Union Station! Quality service (was a bit busy today), great pastries, and good coffee! The ambiance is great as well. Enjoyed the pumpkin spiced latte and the cinnamon monkey bread. The drip coffee was not as good but it was complimentary for guests of the Crawford hotel. The line moves fairly quick and it spill out into the station hall. If you're getting a beverage it does take awhile for these handcrafted drinks. There's an outdoor seating area as well that you can sit and people watch. read more

Coffee here was bad, very sour. My guess would be that it was under extracted or too coarse of a grind for the type of coffee. The Raspberry Croissant was very delicious though, and it even had a raspberry filling inside. Location is convenient inside Union Station. However only bar style seating is available. read more

Most of the time it's Matcha mixed with a bunch of other stuff and at best it's culinary grade. The Matcha here was vibrant in color, smooth and slightly nutty. I elected to sweeten it with simple syrup and had it Americano. My husband opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk and while we've stopped at several places so far, this is the best latte we've had on our roadtrip. They make all of their syrups in house and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. The cafe is small and quaint. It does open up into a larger building with additional seating. Customer service was on point, and we even joked about the different types of Matcha and how some places use a ton of fillers and sugar.

There is a sitting area where you can watch them make the perfect pour over, which is great to observe if you appreciate this art. I had a half-caff mocha which was rich, with a good balance of coffee and chocolate. I give kudos for the nice latte art, too. And you have to try their works of art they call pastries..OMG. I highly recommend this place!

They have a food pop-up in the back patio that rotates between vendors, to my understanding. The back seating area is covered and has two space heaters nearby. That evening, I was craving pho. Pho 92 came recommended and I was immediately drawn to the clear broth in the photos while researching Yelp for Vietnamese food. It was a Thursday evening when we arrived at Pho 92, and the restaurant was packed. It was loud, with staff bustling about and patrons enjoying their meals. The aroma of the pho broth was just as I had hoped for a busy restaurant. We waited approximately 10 min for a table. The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.) The pho came with a plethora of herbs, which I of course used all of. Be warned that their chili oil is very spicy, which I accidentally put too much of without first trying (oops). I generally don't go to the same spot twice during a trip, as I enjoy trying out different local businesses, but Pho 92 would have been a spot I'd return to again if we had had the time and if I had wanted pho again. Their menu is huge, so there are plenty of dishes to choose from to satisfy your cravings, whatever those might be for any given day. We will definitely be back the next time we visit CO!

They no longer have the crab fried rice, but do have an imitation crab one. The photos from today look so different from before. It was damn near inedible and was actually gross. Our bill was over 100 bucks and it was so upsetting because the food was not worth it. The atmosphere is so chaotic and unfortunate. Definitely a miss.
