Did someone say ceremonial Matcha? Hell to the yea! I had bookmarked this place for our stay in Denver on our trek from California. We always like to scope out the best coffee spots ahead of time. Little Owl did not disappoint! First, it's always difficult to find ceremonial grade Matcha wherever you go. Most of the time it's Matcha mixed with a bunch of other stuff and at best it's culinary grade. The Matcha here was vibrant in color, smooth and slightly nutty. I elected to sweeten it with simple syrup and had it Americano. My husband opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk and while we've stopped at several places so far, this is the best latte we've had on our roadtrip. They make all of their syrups in house and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. The cafe is small and quaint. It does open up into a larger building with additional seating. Customer service was on point, and we even joked about the different types of Matcha and how some places use a ton of fillers and sugar. read more

Ordered: 12oz Vanilla Latte (~$7) Aya's take: Little Owl Coffee has a few locations in Denver so I figured the coffee here must be good! I tried the Vanilla Latte which was nicely sweetened, creamy, and soothing. The espresso was pulled well and gave me the caffeine kick I needed to start my day. They have some bar seating here but the cafe also extends into the lobby where you can sit and have a slow morning if you choose. Good try! read more

Small coffee shop connected to a hotel. It's a very small space good for intimate conversations. I will say it does get a bit loud when there are more than 4 people having conversations I ordered the drip coffee & matcha latte hot. Surprised that it wasn't that hot. I would say it was close to room temperature. It was nice to be able to drink it without waiting for the cool down, but I was expecting a nice hot drink. Little Owl Coffee in LoDo is a cute little coffee shop with a great vibe. Their specialty drinks are amazing, and I highly recommend ordering one instead of a standard coffee. The Chaider was so unique and delicious. Of all the coffee shops in the area, this one might be the best and is definitely worth checking out! read more

I don't know what's up with Denver cafes not having a way to heat up pastries. Here's what we got: - chocolate chip cookie - jalapeño cheddar challah When asked if both could be heated up, we were told they didn't have a way to do so since they're baked fresh daily - what does that have to do with anything? Both the challah and cookie were still cold and somewhat flavorless because of the temp. Rather than staying at the coffee shop and potentially purchasing more items, we had to go back to the hotel to heat up the pastries. My wife got the seasonal Glamour Shots for coffee. Pretty refreshing. 18.83 for everything. Pretty steep. read more

i simply cannot turn away from a seasonal menu during the holidays. i was immediately drawn to the YAM QUEEN LATTE. this caffeinated treat featured house made canned yam and marshmallow creme sauce and a smattering of fall spices. it was topped with teeny tiny marshmallows and not too sweet! the service at the little owl coffee branch on blake street was exceptionally quick. the latte was in my hand within a few minutes of ordering! while the space was quite compact, there was a good amount of seating available at the time of my visit on a saturday morning. read more

I had a nice experience overall, though I didn't totally love my drink. The space itself is really cute, very minimalist and modern, with a clean, chill vibe. It's a bit on the smaller side, so while there is seating if you want to hang out or work, it's not quite the size of your typical coffee shop. Still, it has a cozy feel that I appreciated. The staff was super kind, and there were a few pastries on display that looked great. I got distracted and forgot to order one, but there was a "pop tart" that caught my eye, and I believe they had some croissants too. My crew ordered a few different drinks: - Iced chai with oat milk - solid, from what I heard. - An iced latte with orange notes - a good latte, but not much orange came through flavor-wise. - A drink that was their take on a creamy Baja Blast - definitely creative and had fun, floral elements, but didn't remind us much of an actual Baja Blast. That said, the presentation was cute, and the barista added a tiny umbrella which made for a fun moment. As for my drink, it just wasn't for me. While I didn't love it, I appreciated the effort behind the menu and the creativity of the drink offerings. Their amazing drip coffee tells you a lot about the quality of their coffee overall. The location is slightly off the main shopping street, but it's definitely worth the walk. I went one morning to grab some coffee for my group, and I found the shop to be very cute. It's small and pro ably has enough for 6 customers to comfortably enjoy their coffee in the shop or wait in line. There was only one employee when I went, and she did a great job servicing me even though it was relatively early in the morning. This shop was a bit out of the way, but I'd still consider it way more worth than a few of the other coffee locations that were closer to me. If you're looking for something sweater, the vanilla latte are also a solid choice. Price is pretty reasonable for a local coffee shop, and it's something I'd recommend others to visit. read more

Adorable coffee shop. We popped in after a trip to Postino just next door. Super glad we did, this vibey little spot is just presh. It's a tiny little nook but would be a perfect study spot! Yam queen latte was a nice alternative to the PSL- it was so good and I love that they focus on natural flavors instead of preservatives and artificial stuff. Super impressed. This is an adorable little shop serving some excellent coffee! I accidentally forgot to order an extra shot of espresso in my latte like I normally do but my latte was so good I didn't miss it at all!! The flavors were fantastic and I love how they have house made syrups! However I am still kicking myself for not trying the yam queen special! One thing I will say is my chocolate chip cookie was good however it did absorb some of the flavor of the lemon poppy seed cookie it was displayed next to so maybe they can store them separately. The barista was so friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we had this coffee shop where I live! read more

Cute spot, beautiful interior. Small selection of pastries/donuts and the usual drinks. I'm not a coffee connoisseur but the Americano was really good, smooth/light/fruity. Hardest part was finding parking. Interior- Few seats inside - 3 at the counter and 3 or 4 at the window, bar style. Little couch that can seat around 3 and a bathroom. read more

Little Owl Coffee was such a cute spot. It's located off the downtown shopping area. It's a fairly tiny cafe and have few seating options both inside (bar seating) and outside (a couple of tables). The decor was up my alley - modern and minimal. Worth a try if you're in the area! read more

Heard great things about this place, they have a couple locations in the area. This one was a bit of a smaller coffee shop, not a lot of space for sitting but some. I ordered a seasonal latte, the iced Yam Queen with almond milk. Made with a housemade sauce with yams, marshmallow creme, and fall spices. I thought it was pretty good... a bit more spiced than it was sweet. Think if the marshmallow creme was more present it would taste more balanced. Still enjoyed it but didn't love. Would try something else next time. read more

I was super excited to try out this coffee spot and for all the architecture that comes with it. This place was beautiful and the art including vegan materials were interesting to learn about. I asked what their drip coffee was & he said the bean kind **insert eyes rolling** I do not like dark roasts so I simply wanted to know if it was a medium roast, Ethiopian etc. Something a barista should know. I was in Denver for a few days and I hadn't tried this spot during my last visit so I made sure to give it a go this time. The staff are super friendly and the same is small and cute, with seating indoors and outdoors. I had a decaf vanilla latte and wow! Most places don't have great decaf espresso so my expectation is always low but theirs was incredible and it was probably one of the best decaf lattes I've ever had. If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular. read more

Cute small coffee bar in the lobby of a corporate building. Only open during weekdays. Service was fast. Latte art was solid and flavors were good. The PB&J cappuccino didn't have too much peanut butter flavor but the freeze dried raspberry powder added a nice aroma and flavor. It was a bit pricey for the size. read more

I love cute coffee shops... My guy turned me into a addict... he said nooo to SBX... he assured that I will love this place 10x over. First off the pastries... all of my rigorous workouts ... went out the window... The banana fritters!! Mannn!! The vanilla lattes! And 3 days later I had a london fog!! I had a London fog latte for the first time and it was life changing. They brand themselves as an Indonesian specialty coffee shop. I think it's cool that they've have a special Lunar New Year menu. And their pastry game is top notch, sourcing from heavy hitters like GetRight's and Banh & Butter. But for me, I can't help myself from ordering their espresso tonic. They pair the espresso with a coconut yuzu tonic, with a hint of vanilla, and a dried lemon wheel for garnish. It's sweeter than what I typically enjoy, however it's so damn delicious and refreshing! The staff was very efficient, but they were heads down and nose to the grindstone. There wasn't a warm greeting when we entered, and service felt transactional. They were very busy, but there was still plenty of seating. The seating is extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere is bright, interesting, and extremely pleasant. The music was a little loud for conversation. Parking was no problem on a Saturday at 10 AM. Some parking is metered.
