I came to Milk Tea People after it was recommended to me from a friend in New York. Maybe my expectations were just too high but it does not live up to its hype in my opinion. I got the matcha wafchi, which came with lavender gelato, blueberries, and condensed milk. It didn't really taste too special and I would have preferred a different ice cream flavor but the waiter said they could only do lavender or vanilla. For my drink, I got the green Thai tea almond sweet cream. It was a bit too sweet for my liking. There are no tables inside -- only 4 stools. It made me unsure if these stools are meant for people to sit on while they are waiting for their food/drink or if people could actually stay and eat while sitting here. There are some tables outside but it seemed like it was for the public and not exclusively for milk tea people, and it was really hot outside.

This is easily the best matcha place in Denver. I first visited several years ago, and the quality still tastes exactly as great as I remember. It is definitely on the pricier side, but you are paying for the beautiful aesthetic just as much as the beverage itself. I highly recommend ordering anything with matcha here, since the employees painstakingly hand whisk every single drink right in front of you. The only downside for me was the cream cheese series, which tasted a bit too overwhelmingly cheesy. The cheese foam and the drink separate quite a bit, and it is hard to mix them together just by swirling the cup around. I am not sure if you have to explicitly ask for a straw, but I will probably request one next time to make drinking it a bit easier.

The first time I came to Milk Tea People, I thought it was good but it was definitely not worth the drive and it was a pricier matcha than I have seen. But fast forward to 2026 and the era of tariffs and inflations, a $10 drink is the norm. And I'm glad I decided to give MTP another try. First time was good but didn't stand out. This time around, I left impressed. We were in Downtown to see Hell's Kitchen and I decided to bring my partner here since he's never been. This time, I ordered the ube jasmine sweet cream drink because it didn't look too powdery and artificial (the light purple color spoke to me). We also ordered the black sesame drink and both drinks were quite delicious and definitely worth the drive for the drinks (or at least the 14 min walk from the entertainment venues to here for a pick me up before the shows). They're not too sweet and I'm glad that they don't overload the drink with ice because I've been to some places where you get 90% ice. It's a modern milk tea shoppe but it's currently located in a plaza with plenty of outdoor seating and it's enclosed so you don't see the loudness of the city. I know they're relocating soon but I'll be back for sure.

Great matcha and very cool interior. I just got a plain matcha latte with whole milk and no sweetener. It was definitely high quality and strong. $9.96 was very steep but it's ok for once in a while. They weren't busy at all when I came around 1:30p on a Sunday. I'm sure their flavored drinks are probably really good I would totally come back

Such a unique drink spot. The service is fast, the ambience is simple yet trendy. The drinks taste natural with the perfect amount of sweetness. There's a few spots to sit inside but not tables but there is ample seating in the shared space outside. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I was craving some Boba tea and saw this on the map and had to stop by because of all the good reviews. Turns out they don't actually have any Boba, but they're milk. Tea options are unique and cover a range of amazing flavor combos. I went for the black sesame, it was absolutely incredible. They have an open " kitchen" if you will, grinding the Matcha by hand constantly, right in front of you. The entire vibe is very zen, it's a very small place but the entire front has very tall windows, giving it a larger field, and very natural, minimalist energy. Prices are pretty average a little under $10 for a drink

A great tea spot! Inside is super serene with a few stools and open layout to be able to watch the drinks be crafted.

FIRE matcha spot in Downtown Denver. ambiance is so minimalistic and clean. drink menu had lots of latte options, fruit tea options and a few desserts. not too much to be overwhelming but enough to want to go back and try something new. the cinnamon horchata matcha was INCREDIBLE, one of the best matchas I've ever had!

Not quite as impressed as last time, but maybe I ordered wrong. We got the golden yunnan cheese cream which had a nice salty cream layer but I was recommended to not stir it which was hard because you only tasted the cream. The tea itself tasted very fresh and had a lot of depth. Very similar to a boba milk tea flavor. I also tried the orange blossom matcha (not my favorite, the artificial orange flavor covered the matcha completely) and the orange creamsicle which just tasted like ice cream so how can it be bad.

i think their syrups are exactly accurate, but the fundamental tea base is lacking. none of the matcha drinks tasted like matcha imo the orange creamsicle is yummy, tasted like a push pop the pistachio matcha had a strong pistachio flavor and same with orange blossom which started out tasting like cereal milk, but changed into a more artificial orange taste

Another five stars for Milk Tea People! My husband just started working downtown, and on our walk to the light rail, he somehow has not been here yet. WHAT?!?!? If I worked this close, half my paycheck would be going to Milk Tea People. I got the Uber Cream and it was DELISH!!!!! I only wish I'd gotten a waffle. Next time! Cause I will def be back soon

Amazing drinks but pricey. Service is also great, they hand you your items once they're done making it. You can really taste the Jasmine in the ube drink. Hojicha is also really good. More of a grab and go place. Not much room to hang out inside

Whaaatttttt. How have I not been here!? Tucked away in the Base Camp marketplace is an extremely aesthetically pleasing milk tea shop! The decor is simple, clean, and really beautiful. I ordered the hojicha milk tea latte and it was delicious. Hojicha is so toasty and nutty and delicious and mixed with the milk and sweetness, it was utter perfection. I think I need to get it hot too! I also ordered the coconut ube waf chi. Waf what, you say? It's a mochi waffle. It's fantastic. You gotta try it. I love the texture of mochi and I love waffles so there was no way I wasn't going to love it. I ate the whole thing by accident. Hahaha. Ube and coconut is a perfect combo. The coconut ice cream was delish. The waffle texture was superb. I need to come back and try all of the other flavors. Needless to say, 10/10 recommend stopping by you guys.

As a tourist myself, I had to try it for myself. At first, I noticed that there was a growing line of people in front of the big silver Little Man Ice Cream tin located in the middle of the area. But found that the express line had all the flavors that I was intrigued by. So, I gladly skipped the long line to join the very quick express line to quickly get the flavors that I wanted. I personally decided to try a small cup with 2 flavors. SALTY O's Just like it says, Salty O's is salty. I expected a slightly less salty flavor like flavors such as salted caramel do, but it was almost a bit too much salt content inside an otherwise very sweet flavor. I almost regretted getting this flavor because with each bite, the salt was getting a bit overpowering. BANANA PUDDING This was probably my preferred flavor of the two. It didn't necessarily have a strong banana flavor punching through, but it was the right amount of sweetness that I wanted in an ice cream flavor.

As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer.
