Small family owned business with boba and poke bowls. Lots of personality and wall art inside. Probably popular with the community and locals since a lot of the customers I saw coming in and out knew what seemed to be the mom and son duo (I'm just inferring here). It's a longer "narrower" restaurant that spans the counter where you walk past to build your poke bowl. Neat that they have like a loft seating like area next to the window with pillows. A couple tables and chairs here and there and an interesting small stair area. There were people hanging out and studying when I visited. There's something charming about this place. Reminds me of what SoCal was like before the giga overseas boba franchise take over and everything becoming minimalist concrete, bamboo wood, warm light (if you know you know). I love the little cute faces for the sealed lids. It's nostalgic of a lot of the mom and pop tea places we'd go to after high school. The Tiger's Blood Boba milk tea was an interesting mix of pineapple and rose sencha milk tea and the other was a honey flavored Hokkaido milk tea. You can do lots of customization and added toppings, but if you order online you can't really adjust the sugar unfortunately and the drinks do run a bit sweeter than what I normally would have liked. You can either build your own poke bowls or pick from the signature pre-builds. It's a heaping helping of a meal and it's definitely more than enough for a hungry adult. You can easily share a medium bowl as well. It is a bit pricier than what I'm used to for poke bowls, but then again California isn't as land locked as Colorado. I think an issue I had was how mushy the rice was, but other than that the other ingredients were decently fresh. And, she noticed that it's our first time there and gave a quick overview of the store (like how they provide taste tests before they fully make your drink and how they have variety of options to choose from to customize your drink). She also seems to know her regular customers personally and I overheard them having small talks! I got Assam milk tea (basically a brown sugar milk tea I assume?) and it was good! Not super sweet like other brown sugar drinks I've tried so I can definitely tell it's healthier and less processed! Also ventured into Tea Cloud during the past week. It has been in the red sandstone Boston Building for more than 10 years, probably longer than most of the other boba shops in town. The street art decor was kind of audacious, but the overall ambience was modern and cozy. They could serve their boba drinks in cold brew, vegan, ice, blended or hot and also served a varieties of loose leaf teas. They used jasmine green for most of their one of the kinds boba teas mixed with fruits and flowers. For the more adventurous and creative, customers could also mix and match their own flavors. Before they prepared the drink, they would mix a sample for customers to taste whether the sweetness and flavor were as expected. They prepared their boba in house and cooked it to the desired texture and consistency, so the boba was well done, chewy and lightly sweet. Besides the drinks, they also served freshly prepare pokes. Ordered their Sunshine Paradise, which mixed jasmine green tea with whole milk, mango juice, peach juice and boba. The drink was well balanced between the flavors of the green tea and the juices, with a light tea and fruit aroma. Quite different from the taste of other boba drinks I was used to, but very refreshing. Yes, the boba was indeed chewy but not half done or sticky. Food: I showed up for lunch one day during work. Ordered a "build your own" poke bowl. The fish and ingredients were fresh. You got to choose 4 toppings but apparently you can't have two crab toppings without being charged extra. The small pile bowl was pretty small -- a little too small for the price but really delicious. I also ordered a "peachtini" boba. Apparently it was a vegan option, which was fine for me but my biggest complaint was she asked if I wanted milk and I said sure just regular milk. She said no it's vegan so you need to choose one of the milk alternatives. I chose almond milk and then was charged $.75 or a dollar extra for it. I don't understand why it's specifically a vegan option but then I'm charged extra for the milk I need to choose. Didn't love that. They do you have a pretty cute interactive thing with the bobas where they make the drink and then give you a little taster sample so that you can request it to be sweeter or not. Also very very expensive. I know poke isn't cheap but woof - $27 for the boba and a tiny small poke. I will be back but probably not for the $8 boba. read more

Holy crap. I read a few reviews saying this is some of the best boba in Denver. I was immediately skeptical, especially after paying $10 to get Taro Milk Tea. That's INSANE!! But this really IS some of the best boba I've ever had. Made with condensed milk, there was a perfect amount of ice, and the boba itself was fresh. It was two people but they are so personable and told me all their tea is in-house. James made my hi chew drink and let me taste it before I got it. He asked me if I wanted sweet or less but it was perfect. They don't use fructose and I could tell. To make it less sweet they would add more tea than diluting it with more milk like some other places. I love popping boba. They have lychee, mango, and strawberry. I didn't know which one and they put all three and it wasn't even a lot of boba but the right amount. I do plan on coming back tomorrow to try their food items. James said the bulgogi is really good. I've been here a couple times now and their poke is so tasty! Fish seems fresh. Ingredients are refreshing. And just the right amount of flavor. The flavor is just enough to satisfy, but not enough to overpower your fish and other toppings. Love it! Generous portions as well! I recommend having their milk tea boba as well. They have a few really great options and they do a taste test before they mix the whole drink. So you can taste it. Make sure the tea is good for you. Make sure the sweetness is just right. As usual, I was looking for a good boba spot and saw that Tea Cloud also had a good food menu. I recently cut out seafood, so I was happy to see they had tofu as a vegetarian replacement in their poke bowls. You can build your own bowl, but I ordered their signature firm tofu bowl and a hot Jasmine Dream tea. They offer the option to sear the tofu for an extra dollar, and it's absolutely worth it! The bowl was loaded with protein and veggies. Not only was the food amazing, but the customer service was top-notch. Tea Cloud had a decent variety of topping options. For protein, I got spicy tuna and salmon. I enjoyed the tuna, but the salmon was noticeably fishy to the point I picked it out; I found myself wishing I got a single-scoop bowl with just the spicy tuna. This was a spur of the moment decision to get boba while family was visiting from out of town. We all collectively decided we HAD to come back the next day to get the poke and more boba! The service here is absolutely wonderful. It's a family owned business, run by mom and son. Everyone there really makes sure you feel comfortable asking questions, giving you recommendations, and walking you through every step if you've never tried something before. The vibe of this place is so cool. Graffiti murals on the walls and stickers all over the drink fountain. It gives a laid back vibe without being too try-hard. They are very generous with portions, and for big orders/business orders, they will often give you discounts. When you order drinks, they'll let you try it in a little cup to see if you like the sweetness level or not before they bring out the full thing to you. We came from the Bay Area California where there is a boba tea house on every corner. We decided to pick up 16 orders for a team. We found Tea Cloud on Yelp and decided why not try it.
