Very fun experience with yummy food (scones, sandwiches, pastries) and a wide selection of teas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun place to dress up and go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Employees were kind and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Harpist let us try out the harp.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in the atrium when one enters the hotel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely return.

Came here to enjoy some afternoon tea and had such a wonderful experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lobby is grand and elegant and the staff is very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had Hiwatt as our waitress and she was kind and knowledgeable. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and she brought me a whole platter of gluten free and vegan pastries! Everything was delicious!

I took my Mom here for a holiday afternoon tea . It was a great experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the beautiful atrium where the gigantic chandelier hung overhead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were served tea and sandwiches right away. I tried their Brown Palace Hotel Christmas spice tea, and my Mom tried their white peach tea; both were delicious! We had scones with the yummy Devonshire Cream, and plenty of cucumber and egg sandwiches. The waitresses were friendly and professional. We'll be back again!

This is the setup for the afternoon tea.

The Brown Palace afternoon tea is such a luxurious afternoon tea! A group of my friends have had a tradition of going for afternoon tea every holiday season (make sure you make reservations ahead of time for the holiday tea). During the pandemic we even purchased afternoon tea to go and had it at each of our homes. I wish they still offered that service! We like to dress up in our finest (with hats sometimes) and spend hours drinking tea and eating the yummy scones, sandwiches and tea treats. I LOVE the Devonshire cream to put on the scones! We like that they bring a second round of sandwiches. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's lovely to have someone playing the piano while you're having your tea.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decorations are so beautiful and elegant during the holidays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've also been for tea at other times of the year. It's a great place to connect with friends, celebrate something special like Mother's Day or a birthday or just have a time to treat yourself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With the $65 per person for the Classic Afternoon Tea it seems to be more of a special occasion tea. Valet parking is available. The price is hefty at $32, but can be reasonable if split amongst a group.

On the expensive side FOR SURE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the service is great and the ambience makes it worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its absolutely stunning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They either need to give you more and better food or make their prices cheaper.

My daughter hosted me for Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace Hotel. What a lovely treat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Hotel is a landmark of history in Denver.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My parents stayed there on their honeymoon in 1944! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The elegant setting was perfect; our waiter was very fun & attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were each able to order our own pot of tea from a large menu. Traditional finger sandwiches, scones & tiny desserts were brought on a 3-tiered tray with unlimited refills. Servers were dressed nicely; women wore cute fascinates. All in all a lovely celebration of Mother's Day!

Came here for afternoon tea with my family. The seating area is truly beautiful, the service is great, and it is an experience that helps you to connect with your senses and have some quality time with the people you go with. Also a great excuse to wear a fun fancy outfit. The food was good. I am gf and vegetarian and they accommodated me with a separate plate of food I could eat. I very much appreciated this and my food was good. My favorite was the cream and curd for the scones. My family also enjoyed their food. I don't know that any of them enjoyed the turkey sandwiches but that's more of a personal preference. We got 3 tea choices for our table of 5. The tea was good but I think we would have loved the opportunity to try more different teas. Overall my main complaint is the price to food/experience ratio. The basic afternoon tea is about $80 and although I understand there is a premium for the elegance and unique value of the venue, I have had other comparable afternoon/high tea experiences at places in Denver for about half that price.

The food is pretty good but not five star. I do wish they would step up the game a little bit for afternoon tea. But it's always nice. And you of course are paying for the ambience. For a special occasion. It's always fun. It's totally a Denver thing. So great for out-of-town company. Service was excellent perhaps really even more than excellent! Valet is $15 but that's pretty standard.

Always enjoyed the afternoon tea at the historical Brown Palace Hotel, one of the few places in town where the English high tea tradition is still honored along with impeccable service. It was even more so during the holiday season surrounded by splendid festive decorations. The tea selection is wide, but not overwhelming. The flavor is unique and enticing. The pastries were tasteful and delicious. Don't know why the scones were at the bottom plate, followed by finger sandwiches and sweets, instead of in the traditional order of sandwiches, scones and sweets though.

Tried our luck today with a very last minute reservation at the Brown Palace today for holiday tea and we were not disappointed. Holiday tea is a long standing tradition at the Brown Palace that many people come too year over year. Because of this, when the reservations open on June 1st, it can be hard to get a spot. Don't get discouraged. Call and get on the cancellation list and continue to check Open Table. We looked 15 minutes before the reservation started and one opened up. It felt like the stars aligned. The space itself is easily one of the most magical in Denver at Christmas time but the food and drink didn't disappoint either. At $75 a head ($35 for ages six and under) it's not an inexpensive way to spend the day, but it is worth it. Make sure you dress up, many people look like they walked out of a NYC Christmas movie, and you'll want to too.

First time experiencing afternoon tea and this place nailed it. The Brown Hotel is historical and they have afternoon tea down to a science. The pictures are pretty self explanatory. Everything was delicious: finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, blackberry jam, Chai tea, mixed drinks, oh my! What an experience and amazing memory with friends.

What a fun afternoon! If you're looking for a special experience please try afternoon tea at The Brown Palace. A group of girlfriends and I spent a wonderful afternoon sipping on champagne and tea while enjoying not only great food but wonderful service and the amazing atmosphere of this place. The dress code ranged from really fancy and beautiful hats to nice summer dresses. The whole experience is fun and special! The only downside was we sat right next to the piano. Don't get me wrong, the music was beautiful and the perfect accompaniment to the whole experience but it just made it hard to carry a conversation. I want to go back!

Afternoon tea at The Brown Palace is incredibly charming and delicious. The food, service, and ambiance are top notch. Thank you to the lobby pianist John who made our day by playing Elton John's "Your Song" and Phantom of the Opera for my wife.

I previously bought the pu-erh sampler box, but I struggled to figure out which flavor was which because the website doesn't specify which wrapping color corresponds to each flavor, and there weren't any instructions inside the package. I am sharing a photo of the breakdown here so other people won't have to guess. As for the shop itself, checkout was fast, and there were two helpful employees working up front if I needed any assistance. I didn't get any brewed tea to go this time, but the setup is definitely geared toward a quick grab-and-go experience if you are ordering a fresh drink. Since the shop is located right inside a shopping plaza, finding a place to sit nearby is incredibly easy.

It's a longer "narrower" restaurant that spans the counter where you walk past to build your poke bowl. Neat that they have like a loft seating like area next to the window with pillows. A couple tables and chairs here and there and an interesting small stair area. There were people hanging out and studying when I visited. There's something charming about this place. Reminds me of what SoCal was like before the giga overseas boba franchise take over and everything becoming minimalist concrete, bamboo wood, warm light (if you know you know). I love the little cute faces for the sealed lids. It's nostalgic of a lot of the mom and pop tea places we'd go to after high school. The Tiger's Blood Boba milk tea was an interesting mix of pineapple and rose sencha milk tea and the other was a honey flavored Hokkaido milk tea. You can do lots of customization and added toppings, but if you order online you can't really adjust the sugar unfortunately and the drinks do run a bit sweeter than what I normally would have liked. You can either build your own poke bowls or pick from the signature pre-builds. It's a heaping helping of a meal and it's definitely more than enough for a hungry adult. You can easily share a medium bowl as well. It is a bit pricier than what I'm used to for poke bowls, but then again California isn't as land locked as Colorado. I think an issue I had was how mushy the rice was, but other than that the other ingredients were decently fresh. Overall not bad, probably pretty good for this area, but not my favorite from my Denver visit.

Don't be confused, the building address may be 15th Street, but the stores on the main floor mostly face Platte Street. The tea shop is near the far east end. There is validated parking in the Parkwell lot behind the building. The shop is cozy and very cute with seating for about three dozen. We visited the day after Valentine's and things were still decorated for the holiday. The staff is very welcoming and we were soon seated after needing a bit of help with the Parkwell Web site. The rules for afternoon tea were quickly explained. Each person receives an individual pot of tea and can order as many different flavors/varieties as they wish to try. A traditional, vertical rack for each couple contains two plates of sandwiches, a plate of scones, and a plate of cookies and petit fours. This is a lot of food. We received three sets of sandwiches including turkey, cucumber, and curried chicken salad plus a bruschetta. These were all delicious, particularly the bruchetta which had a great mix of flavors. I love scones and we received both a strawberry and a traditional one with a plate of ramekins containing jam, clotted cream, and lemon curd. Very authentic and very tasty. Tea service included three timers to ensure the perfect steeping time, a plate on which to place the tea leaf basket after steeping, a strainer for each cup, and a little container to hold the strainer. Just be sure to keep a finger on the tea pot lid when you pour! We were stuffed at this point, so we only nibbled a bit of the chocolate petit four and were given a beautiful box in which to take home the balance of the desserts. We even each received a final cup of tea to go! Service was friendly and efficient. This is a great experience for my fellow lovers of afternoon tea and very authentic. We enjoyed every bit of it. The shop offers nearly 100 tea varieties plus cocktails, wine, and champagne. There's a happy hour from 4pm to 6pm daily. There's also a café menu if you don't want the full tea service and they love to host special events.

The concept sounded perfect: a traditional three-tiered tray of finger sandwiches and sweets, a plated item like quiche, and bottomless tea over a three-hour reservation. To start with the positives, the staff were kind and polite, and the owner was accommodating when our group size increased closer to the date. The tea was good, and I appreciated that the teapots were kept warm with tea lights. The space itself is charming, and we genuinely enjoyed having time to sit and catch up. The food was delicious, they are amazing cooks. The biggest issue was the timing of the food. In every afternoon tea I have attended, the three-tiered tray is brought out shortly after being seated so guests can graze while enjoying tea. A plated item may follow later, but there is always something to snack on early in the experience. Here, we went almost two full hours without any food at all. The quiches arrived around the two-hour mark, and the three-tiered tray, which is the centerpiece of afternoon tea, did not arrive until about fifteen minutes before our three-hour reservation ended. No one was rushing us out, and we did enjoy being together, but waiting an hour and a half to two hours for any food simply is not reasonable. We were genuinely hungry for the first half of the visit and then suddenly had a large amount of food placed in front of us near the end. Instead of grazing leisurely, we were left trying to eat everything in a short window of time. With a reservation made weeks in advance and only one other small table present, it was surprising that nothing was delivered within the first hour. Even reversing the order and bringing out the tiered tray first would have completely changed the experience. We also received only one three-tiered tray for six people at a price comparable to other Denver tea houses where each guest receives their own. When we asked for boxes to take the remaining items home, we were told they only had paper sleeves. Afternoon tea items are delicate by design, and paper slips are not suitable for transporting layered finger foods without crushing them. Given that the tray was delivered minutes before the reservation ended, proper takeaway containers should have been available. Tea service was steady for much of the visit, but toward the end all three teapots sat empty for about ten to fifteen minutes, and I had to go upstairs to request a refill. This was secondary to the food timing, but it added to the overall sense that pacing and oversight were lacking. I truly wanted this to be a special afternoon, and I appreciate the kindness of the staff and the availability of vegan options. However, afternoon tea should feel thoughtfully paced, with food arriving early enough for guests to graze comfortably. Waiting nearly two hours for any food and then receiving the full tiered tray minutes before the reservation ended does not align with what high tea is meant to be.

The hostess or employee sat me down, and I took a seat at the bar. I was immediately given water and a menu, which felt easy and welcoming. This is not a "background music while you catch up" kind of bar. The music is the experience, inspired by Japanese listening bars. The sound is intentional, the vinyl selections feel curated, and the space encourages you to slow down and be present. Located in the Arts District of the Santa Fe neighborhood, ESP HiFi is walk in only, so arriving early is a good idea since it fills up quickly. The menu includes seasonal cocktails, highballs, natural wine, warm drinks, non alcoholic options, and small bites, with tastings focused on Japanese whiskey and mezcal. I had a walnut mezcal based cocktail, and ordered olives and Marcona almonds as a snack, all of which fit the vibe perfectly. They also offer a daily happy hour or "social hour" from 4 to 5pm. It was also fun watching the mixologist seamlessly switch between making drinks and DJing, which added to the experience. Yes, it is dark inside, but that is part of the atmosphere. The staff is not overly talkative, but the music is the whole point here, and that focus feels intentional. It is a popular spot and definitely gives hipster energy, but in a self aware, well executed way. If you are expecting a loud, social cocktail lounge, this is not it. If you appreciate good sound and a focused atmosphere, you will enjoy it. Not trying to please everyone. Just doing its thing and doing it well.

Have tried many places near DPAC but have not been to Corinne. So happy it was an easy walk about 3…read moreblocks away even with the summer heat. We made our reservation for 5:30PM and showed up at 5:05... glad they were able to seat us at 5:20 even though the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. Maybe they were staggering for kitchen staff reasons. Marcos was very attentive and made tremendous amount of amazing recommendations. All of us decided to order the short rib from the prix fix menu and we all ordered some sides. We got the French onion soup, the bread pudding and the key lime pie. Also shared some mushrooms, asparagus and creamed spinach. The short ribs was very tender, the key lime pie was perfectly tart and sweet, the bread pudding is a little bit on the harder side as it came in a cast iron dish like a cookie... but the flavor was amazing and tasty w the vanilla ice cream. All in all we had a great time with our girls date after we saw a musical and really helped us wrapped up the day so sweetly. Thanks Marcos and team!

I was excited to take my friends here who were visiting from out of town. It had great reviews and…read moresaid it was child friendly which was a must as a single parent. We arrived and the hostess took 10 minutes to even acknowledge we were there then said she needed more time to clean off some tables which she did very slowly. She then said she would seat the 4 of us at a 2 top with a high chair. She told us to wait until the table was ready. They set the table and brought over a high chair and then suddenly took the high chair away. In true "see you next Tuesday form" the hostess did not say anything to us and instead sat another couple who had just walked into the restaurant. They still said nothing to us until I walked over to the host stand and then blurted out that the couple they sat had been waiting before us for 50 minutes but got "lost in the system". Mind you, the couple had not been in there at all when we got there and we were told we would have the table. I am sure that we were profiled because we had a toddler with us and they decided to seat others in our place that they had set up for us. Not only that, but nobody ever came to talk to us and inform us about what happened. And then to top it off they told us we could order to go and sit in the lobby of the Meridian. Their behavior and attitudes were absolutely atrocious and definitely discriminatory based on us trying to bring a child during happy hour (before dinner seating had even opened). 0/10 do not go here if you enjoy polite hosts and wait staff and are looking for a family friendly establishment. The hotel lobby bar was everything Corinne was not. The bartenders and servers were friendly, food was delicious, and service was fast. They saved our evening which Corinne had done everything to ruin.
