The family brunch I organized here is one of my favorite family memories. I made a reservation on OpenTable, and I ended up needing to increase the number of people to 8 a few days before the reservation. Accommodating our party was no problem. My mom, who usually scoffs at fancy restaurants and their fancy prices, absolutely loved her $10 ginger sunrise juice drink (I made her get it) and said that her sweet corn eggs benedict ($19) was one of the best things she's ever eaten. Our server Julie did an amazing job taking care of our party, some of whom arrived on time and some of whom didn't. The 20% large party gratuity was well-earned. I loved that the restaurant being connected to the hotel meant that the lobby was a beautiful space for those of us who got there early to gather and for us to all chat before we went our separate ways. Many of us were enthralled by the Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby, as well as the super cool "fire in a glass box" art piece. I had the $19 chicken philly skillet, which was tasty, but my family members who got the $29 steak and eggs knew what they were doing. My husband, who is incredibly picky about bacon, thought his $6 side of bacon with his $18 buttermilk pancakes was perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. Corrine is the dining experience inside the Le Méridien Denver Downtown hotel. You most definitely need to make a reservation. Walk-ins end up waiting a good 20-25 minutes, especially during Saturday and Sunday brunch. Having been here before a couple of times, I noted that the menu changed and I think it changed for the better. We ordered a couple of items to split, and everything was so good. We started with the BLT deviled eggs. Beautifully constructed and yum! These are one of the items that remained on the old menu, and it is clear why. They may be called deviled, but it certainly is more on the divine side. We also ordered the crab croquettes and they were ok, but nothing amazing to write about. For our main entree, we ordered the croque madame with the mornay sauce on the side. This was also a delicious, delicious entree. The gruyere was perfection and the mornay sauce was excellent for dipping the homemade biscuit in as well. Highly recommend all of what we ordered. It is more on the expensive side, so just be aware of what you are getting into. Servers and staff are polite and attentive, as they always are. read more

Several people complain about service in the main dining room, but this review is for the bar seating and small bites we had... We were staying across the street at The Hyatt Regency when this place looked interesting enough to try out. Plus, my cousin had been talking about steak tartare for a while now so when we saw it on the menu, we decided to stop by and let him get his fix First thing I noticed was the Cold Brew Martini and I definitely had to try it. I can comfortably say it was one of the best Espresso Martinis I've ever had, perhaps the best of all time!! We decided to split two dishes as neither of us were super hungry and wanted something in our stomachs besides just alcohol lol. First we got the Wagyu Beef Tartare and my cousin said it too was the best tartare he had ever had. I must say I'm not a huge fan of raw beef like that, but regardless it was pretty good. I can't see myself ordering and eating a whole plate of that, but it was worth trying it out. If you're a tartare fan, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it. I wanted something more of a comfort meal so when I saw they had Croque Madame, I chose to get that. Usually it's a ham and Gruyère cheese sandwich topped with a mornay sauce and a fried egg, but this one was more of an open face sandwich with one slice of bread. I'm not a huge bread fan in general, so it was perfect! It was very satisfying and I could taste each layer without any one ingredient overpowering the other. Have tried many places near DPAC but have not been to Corinne. So happy it was an easy walk about 3 blocks away even with the summer heat. We made our reservation for 5:30PM and showed up at 5:05... glad they were able to seat us at 5:20 even though the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. Maybe they were staggering for kitchen staff reasons. Marcos was very attentive and made tremendous amount of amazing recommendations. All of us decided to order the short rib from the prix fix menu and we all ordered some sides. We got the French onion soup, the bread pudding and the key lime pie. Also shared some mushrooms, asparagus and creamed spinach. The short ribs was very tender, the key lime pie was perfectly tart and sweet, the bread pudding is a little bit on the harder side as it came in a cast iron dish like a cookie... but the flavor was amazing and tasty w the vanilla ice cream. I have long suspected that restaurants, like people, occasionally wake up convinced the universe has declared war on their schedule. Corinne, on paper, is a pleasant enough place. It sits conveniently near the Convention Center, possesses a polished dining room, and harbors ambitions that deserve encouragement. On the Fourth of July, however, time itself wandered off to watch fireworks. Six coworkers and I arrived for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the back. The dining room was only about two-thirds full, which made the evening's upcoming mystery all the more impressive. That prompt seating, as it turned out, was the fastest thing that would happen to us all night. Our server greeted us, took drink orders, and brought out some warm Parker House rolls with Amish butter, alongside a bowl of French onion soup. This part was good. The rolls were soft; the soup was rich and comforting. Spirits were high. We ordered our entrees. Then the clocks stopped. Twenty minutes passed. Then forty. Then an hour. At first, we assumed our meals required extraordinary craftsmanship. Perhaps each potato was receiving a heartfelt, individual farewell before being mashed. Maybe the cows for our burgers were being transported from the farm where they source their meat in Wyoming fresh to order. But then we noticed something unsettling: nearly every table around us was waiting, too. Plates were strangely absent across the entire room. We had all been trapped inside an intermission with no second act. Our server, looking more exhausted with every trip from the kitchen, assured us our meals had "just been fired." I believed that he believed it. Ten more minutes drifted by. Our dinners finally appeared roughly ninety minutes after we had ordered. I felt bad for the man. He stayed friendly and professional while serving as the lightning rod for a kitchen catastrophe he had nothing to do with. Sometimes the person carrying the bad news is the one who deserves the most sympathy. The food, at least, tried its best. One of us couldn't stop talking about how excellent the pork chop was. Another declared the salmon outstanding. Three of us ordered the Brush Creek Wagyu burger. Mine arrived a perfect medium-rare. The other two, ordered medium, arrived practically mooing. But after waiting an hour and a half, nobody had the stomach to send them back into the void. They just ate their rare meat and kept quiet. To the restaurant's credit, our server chopped twenty-five percent off the bill without us having to ask. It was a decent, quiet gesture. It acknowledged that the evening had gone entirely off the rails. Corinne clearly has potential. The location is great, the space is nice, and when the food actually makes it to the table, it's mostly quite good. I suspect we simply wandered in on a spectacularly bad holiday evening. Even so, a ninety-minute wait and some undercooked burgers are hard to ignore. I hope our night was the exception, but I'm not entirely sure I'd gamble my evening to find out. read more

First time there to this pretty stylish downtown location inside the Meridien Hotel at 15th and California. Great service from Mauricio and felt very well treated. This was just for lunch, but started out sharing the crab croquettes. Fluffy and lightly fried with a perfect mayo-based dipping sauce. A great start. I had the Koji fried chicken sandwich that was very good and we shared a spectacular gooey butter cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for a shared dessert. Corinne is one of those good go-to spots. When we can't decide where to eat, we know it'll hit. This time we sat at the bar for brunch, which we don't do often, and Ryan was our bartender. He set the tone right away! Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Staying at the hotel and having flown in a couple of hours earlier this was a most excellent experience. It was busy and loud with convention people but it quieted down after 8 and didn't stop us from enjoying excellent food and stellar service from Shawna (sp?). We started with crab croquettes and moved on to cups of delicious French onion soup, a favorite comfort food. We were surprised and delighted by the tomato salad. It had an amazing combination of flavors with watermelon and hot peppers along with the tomatoes and left a heated impression that was quite different. We finished with the spare ribs which were a fitting climax to the evening. We shared our choices and they were brought to the table on individual plates and that was perfect. We are here two nights and were it not for the fact that I made reservations for Alma Fonda two months ago we would return tonight! Corrine was recommended by my son as a nice place to go downtown near DCPA, before attending a show. I came with 3 friends before attending a show at the Garner Galleria Theatre. The restaurant is located in the Meridian hotel and is it really beautiful. The staff was so friendly and the menu is lovely. Our waitress Jessica was very attentive and helpful even when we had a small hiccup with our order, she fixed it right away. I love going to places where we share and this was no exception. First order of business, 3 lovely flakey biscuits with butter and jam. Had I known they would be so I good.... I would have stopped there! We also had the pancakes with bourbon maple syrup, eggs bennie (with smoked salmon) and the omelet with gruyere cheese. I truly loved everything except the bennie.... We decided to try the pre fixe menu, it offered several things that we were interested in trying. The kale and apple salad was flavorful and crisp and great start. Our entrees, Scottish Salmon and the Short Ribs, both generous portions and delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly, served on a bed of lentils and broccolini. The ribs served with potatoes and carrots. Our desserts, key lime pie and bread pudding were both generous servings, also delicious. Started off with heirloom tomato salad, baked oysters and the carb croquettes. The only one I would get again is the crab croquettes. There was a decent amount of crab stuffed in there and was quite flavorful. The salad looked smashed down and was oddly spicy in not a good way. The oysters were decent but overpriced, only 5 oysters for $24!! Then we split the braised short rib for dinner, overall cooked decent just didn't love the flavor. My other friend had the burger and said it was tasty! Large amount of fries it came with so that's also a win! Overall, some good food. The burger was cooked exactly how we asked (medium), and the beef flavor was classic and straightforward. The bun was unfortunately pretty dry, but the fries were great. Portion sizes on both the burger and Caesar were perfect for sharing. The cocktails off the happy hour menu were okay, though a little too sweet for our taste. I loved having dinner at Corinne! My best friend and I came on Christmas, it was one of the few places that looked good and was open, and even stayed open until 11 PM ! We were able to find pretty close parking, although it is mostly street parking in the area. We got a cute table by the window, this place is inside a hotel and has such a relaxing atmosphere, with ambient lighting, and a colorful, full bar, lighting the back wall, bringing this place to life. They were even showing the Nuggets game on their TV in the corner :) and our server Chris was absolutely incredible, so friendly and gave the best recommendations. My friend loved her margarita and we both had salads - I had the cherry wood, and she had the wedge, we both added steak to it, and it was really delicious, with unique flavors, the goat cheese really brought out the cherrywood salad so well, the creaminess lining every bite with an explosion of flavor and texture. They even had these tiny little tomatoes with a swoop on one side that I had never seen before and were so delicious with a little crunch. Definitely will come back ! read more

We were looking for a new place near the DCPA for brunch before a show. Fortunately we chose Corinne. We had a reservation and I wasn't sure we needed one but they were full by the time we left. The service was excellent and our server, Jessica, made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant opens up to the lobby of Le Meridian Hotel and we had to go in to the hotel to find the restrooms. We started our meal with an order of biscuits and they were delicious. We had the pancakes, ham and gruyere omelet and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The Benedict came out with no salmon and the hollandaise was supposed to be on the side so it had to be remade. We were almost done with the rest of our food by the time the correct order was served. The kitchen was backed up. All our food was very good but the corn cakes under the Benedict were dry and not as good as everything else. The restaurant is comfortable and bright with large windows at the front. What do I say about a brunch spot that we chose to eat at, two days in a row. It was delicious and a great atmosphere. We're not always sure about restaurants inside hotels, but this one inside Le Meridian was fabulous. We were able to walk in on a Saturday and a Sunday, and we chose to sit inside, although the outdoor seating is very nice as well. (There are also a few bar spots.) On Saturday, we started with the BLT Deviled eggs - they were very tasty. My husband can be a little bit picky with deviled eggs and he really liked these!! For mains- my husband ordered the egg sandwich, and I chose 'eggs your way'. I had egg whites with chicken sausage and the potatoes - all very delicious! (We ordered the Mimosa me Crazy... it comes with orange and guava juices, which my husband got. I stuck with the classic OJ.) On Sunday, when we went back, we started with the crab croquettes- which was a great choice, they were fabulous!! Mains- my husband chose the Croque Madame- which sadly, I did not take a picture of- it was fantastic. I ordered 'eggs your way' again with egg whites. bacon & avocado (no potatoes this time!!) . **Both days I ordered the Ginger Sunrise: carrot, golden beet, orange, ginger, turmeric... wow- so delicious!! The atmosphere was really nice, and at first glance, it appears to be a small restaurant. But when you look around and see other rooms and the outside area, you realize it's a little bit bigger than expected, yet still very nice and quaint/cozy. Our server the first day was great- very knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job. CJ was our server the second day and was amazing. Talk about an awful impression of Denver for the first time being here. And to think I almost stayed at this hotel too. I recommend going anywhere else. In town for a conference and went to have drinks before dinner yesterday, and the bartender was more interested in trying different alcohols with his other bartenders than serve us drinks. And after 20 min of us sitting there patiently waiting, listening to him opine on the flavors of different drinks, he finally comes over and says flippantly, has anyone helped you yet? Knowing full well he handed us menus twenty minutes earlier. My wife then orders a specific drink and he says no sorry we're out of that and steps away again. If you need to have a tasting session in the afternoon maybe make sure your customers are served first, but what do I know... I was excited to take my friends here who were visiting from out of town. It had great reviews and said it was child friendly which was a must as a single parent. We arrived and the hostess took 10 minutes to even acknowledge we were there then said she needed more time to clean off some tables which she did very slowly. She then said she would seat the 4 of us at a 2 top with a high chair. She told us to wait until the table was ready. They set the table and brought over a high chair and then suddenly took the high chair away. In true "see you next Tuesday form" the hostess did not say anything to us and instead sat another couple who had just walked into the restaurant. They still said nothing to us until I walked over to the host stand and then blurted out that the couple they sat had been waiting before us for 50 minutes but got "lost in the system". Mind you, the couple had not been in there at all when we got there and we were told we would have the table. I am sure that we were profiled because we had a toddler with us and they decided to seat others in our place that they had set up for us. Not only that, but nobody ever came to talk to us and inform us about what happened. And then to top it off they told us we could order to go and sit in the lobby of the Meridian. Their behavior and attitudes were absolutely atrocious and definitely discriminatory based on us trying to bring a child during happy hour (before dinner seating had even opened). 0/10 do not go here if you enjoy polite hosts and wait staff and are looking for a family friendly establishment. The hotel lobby bar was everything Corinne was not. The bartenders and servers were friendly, food was delicious, and service was fast. They saved our evening which Corinne had done everything to ruin. read more
