The family brunch I organized here is one of my favorite family memories. I made a reservation on OpenTable, and I ended up needing to increase the number of people to 8 a few days before the reservation. Accommodating our party was no problem. My mom, who usually scoffs at fancy restaurants and their fancy prices, absolutely loved her $10 ginger sunrise juice drink (I made her get it) and said that her sweet corn eggs benedict ($19) was one of the best things she's ever eaten. Our server Julie did an amazing job taking care of our party, some of whom arrived on time and some of whom didn't. The 20% large party gratuity was well-earned. I loved that the restaurant being connected to the hotel meant that the lobby was a beautiful space for those of us who got there early to gather and for us to all chat before we went our separate ways. Many of us were enthralled by the Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby, as well as the super cool "fire in a glass box" art piece. I had the $19 chicken philly skillet, which was tasty, but my family members who got the $29 steak and eggs knew what they were doing. My husband, who is incredibly picky about bacon, thought his $6 side of bacon with his $18 buttermilk pancakes was perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. This is a fine spot in a hotel downtown, sure, but yikes the pricing was totally out of control!!! Brunch, you know simple cheap stuff like eggs and potatoes, was $130 for TWO people. I don't think I've ever spent more on brunch in my life. Yeah, we got a couple drinks, too. Thank goodness it was my partner's bday and we got the dessert for free. A fine place, but be ready to thin your wallet if you choose it! I wouldn't go again for that reason. I'd find another brunch spot where I can spend $100 or less. Which is still A TON for brunch!!! My boyfriend and I ate at Corrine for lunch Wednesday, September 30th while visiting Denver from California for a concert. Corrine was selected based on the reviews and menu. When we arrived, it was busy due to an education conference at the convention center. We were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes (as someone with hosting & serving experience, you should always quote a slightly longer wait than the actual time) so we put our name down and sat in the lobby expecting to have a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes, we checked our place on the waitlist and saw we were still 6th in line, after 45 minutes, 4th, after an hour, we noticed while longer had access to see the waitlist as the link had expired. I went up to the host stand to check about our table and she cleared one for us to sit at immediately. We noticed while it was busy, tables were not being bussed and turned over in a timely manner. At least 1/3 of the tables stayed dirty for our entire wait and meal. We wondered if we could have received a table earlier had we asked and if we ever would have been sat if we would not have asked. After waiting an hour, we were very hungry, so we put in our food and drink order right away. After we were sat, we noticed there was no longer a wait and other guests were being sat right away. After about 30 minutes, all of the tables who had been sat after us were also receiving their food before we did. After about 45 minutes, our server apologized and informed us that our "ticket had been lost" and that it would be out shortly. After an hour, we received our food. It had been 2 hours since putting our name on the waitlist. The food was okay, but definitely not worth a 2 hour wait. The server gave us a percentage off of our bill, but a table touch was never performed by a manager, even though we believed there were 2 different ones working since we were there long enough for a shift change. On top of the wait, we were in town for the one cold day of the week. We were sat at a table in front of the door and despite a sign on the door saying "please use revolving door" guests continuously used the regular door and left it open. My boyfriend and I both left our table multiple times to close the door to keep the breeze from coming in. Although there was plenty of staff around to see us do this, even walking through the open door and making eye contact with us when we closed the door, none of them made any point to ensure the door stayed closed. After about 5 trips closing the door, we decided to sit with our jackets on instead of bothering to get up. As we were paying, a large party was sat next to us with a server who had just started their shift (man, bald, taller, slender build) and one of the first things he mentioned to the table was the door (it was open). He asked if that was okay with them and they said yes. After sitting at our table for 1.5 hours, this was the first staff member to acknowledge the door. I have experience working at restaurants like Corrine and was expecting a good experience. However, it seemed like they were understaffed, under-trained, and lacked the attention to detail that creates a good guest experience. read more

Corinne is located downstairs in Le Meridien hotel. It's a really nice space with comfortable seating. We stopped in for breakfast before checking out of the hotel and it was just ok. Surprisingly the lattes & some of our food came out luke warm. I had the omelette which I enjoyed. Oddly it seemed to have a fair amount of butter seeping out but otherwise it was good. The potatoes it came with were delicious & crispy. Unfortunately two of our party got the benedict and were not too impressed. The egg yolks were hard and the corn cake was lacking. Of course they do more than breakfast here, so would like to give it another shot for dinner when I'm back in the area. read more

Several people complain about service in the main dining room, but this review is for the bar seating and small bites we had... We were staying across the street at The Hyatt Regency when this place looked interesting enough to try out. Plus, my cousin had been talking about steak tartare for a while now so when we saw it on the menu, we decided to stop by and let him get his fix First thing I noticed was the Cold Brew Martini and I definitely had to try it. I can comfortably say it was one of the best Espresso Martinis I've ever had, perhaps the best of all time!! We decided to split two dishes as neither of us were super hungry and wanted something in our stomachs besides just alcohol lol. First we got the Wagyu Beef Tartare and my cousin said it too was the best tartare he had ever had. I must say I'm not a huge fan of raw beef like that, but regardless it was pretty good. I can't see myself ordering and eating a whole plate of that, but it was worth trying it out. If you're a tartare fan, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it. I wanted something more of a comfort meal so when I saw they had Croque Madame, I chose to get that. Usually it's a ham and Gruyère cheese sandwich topped with a mornay sauce and a fried egg, but this one was more of an open face sandwich with one slice of bread. I'm not a huge bread fan in general, so it was perfect! It was very satisfying and I could taste each layer without any one ingredient overpowering the other. Have tried many places near DPAC but have not been to Corinne. So happy it was an easy walk about 3 blocks away even with the summer heat. We made our reservation for 5:30PM and showed up at 5:05... glad they were able to seat us at 5:20 even though the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. Maybe they were staggering for kitchen staff reasons. Marcos was very attentive and made tremendous amount of amazing recommendations. All of us decided to order the short rib from the prix fix menu and we all ordered some sides. We got the French onion soup, the bread pudding and the key lime pie. Also shared some mushrooms, asparagus and creamed spinach. The short ribs was very tender, the key lime pie was perfectly tart and sweet, the bread pudding is a little bit on the harder side as it came in a cast iron dish like a cookie... but the flavor was amazing and tasty w the vanilla ice cream. I have long suspected that restaurants, like people, occasionally wake up convinced the universe has declared war on their schedule. Corinne, on paper, is a pleasant enough place. It sits conveniently near the Convention Center, possesses a polished dining room, and harbors ambitions that deserve encouragement. On the Fourth of July, however, time itself wandered off to watch fireworks. Six coworkers and I arrived for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the back. The dining room was only about two-thirds full, which made the evening's upcoming mystery all the more impressive. That prompt seating, as it turned out, was the fastest thing that would happen to us all night. Our server greeted us, took drink orders, and brought out some warm Parker House rolls with Amish butter, alongside a bowl of French onion soup. This part was good. The rolls were soft; the soup was rich and comforting. Spirits were high. We ordered our entrees. Then the clocks stopped. Twenty minutes passed. Then forty. Then an hour. At first, we assumed our meals required extraordinary craftsmanship. Perhaps each potato was receiving a heartfelt, individual farewell before being mashed. Maybe the cows for our burgers were being transported from the farm where they source their meat in Wyoming fresh to order. But then we noticed something unsettling: nearly every table around us was waiting, too. Plates were strangely absent across the entire room. We had all been trapped inside an intermission with no second act. Our server, looking more exhausted with every trip from the kitchen, assured us our meals had "just been fired." I believed that he believed it. Ten more minutes drifted by. Our dinners finally appeared roughly ninety minutes after we had ordered. I felt bad for the man. He stayed friendly and professional while serving as the lightning rod for a kitchen catastrophe he had nothing to do with. Sometimes the person carrying the bad news is the one who deserves the most sympathy. The food, at least, tried its best. One of us couldn't stop talking about how excellent the pork chop was. Another declared the salmon outstanding. Three of us ordered the Brush Creek Wagyu burger. Mine arrived a perfect medium-rare. The other two, ordered medium, arrived practically mooing. But after waiting an hour and a half, nobody had the stomach to send them back into the void. They just ate their rare meat and kept quiet. To the restaurant's credit, our server chopped twenty-five percent off the bill without us having to ask. It was a decent, quiet gesture. It acknowledged that the evening had gone entirely off the rails. Corinne clearly has potential. The location is great, the space is nice, and when the food actually makes it to the table, it's mostly quite good. I suspect we simply wandered in on a spectacularly bad holiday evening. Even so, a ninety-minute wait and some undercooked burgers are hard to ignore. I hope our night was the exception, but I'm not entirely sure I'd gamble my evening to find out. read more

I have been to Corinne for brunch a few times, and I strongly recommend you make a reservation as your wait time will be much shorter since this is a popular restaurant located in Le Méridien Hotel. Today's visit was busier than usual. It was obvious that "all hands were on deck" as the hostess was also bussing tables and taking food to tables. We were seated close to the kitchen, so I could see a lot of orders were being packaged for carryout. Knowing that it was busy, I am usually patient, but our server, although friendly, didn't seem to be in any rush to take our order or bring us our beverages. We did order our food all at once (two apps and an entree to share) knowing it was busy. Even though our drink order was placed first, it came twenty minutes into our meal and after our first appetizer. Deviled eggs are always delicious. BLT style with lettuce and bacon on top, it's a delightful bite. The crab croquettes were a bit overdone and didn't really have a lot of crab flavor. A fan favorite, the Croque Madame, we decided to split. We had the mornay sauce on the side, which was perfect for dipping. For dessert, we ordered one housemade biscuit to share. It came with whipped butter and strawberry jam. The biscuit was more cake-like, which I liked, with a crisp exterior and a soft more dense interior. My Summer Year Round cocktail was pricey ($18) but good. It had jalapeño-infused tequila with watermelon and lime juice. We did have to flag down our server each time we wanted something. Corrine is the dining experience inside the Le Méridien Denver Downtown hotel. You most definitely need to make a reservation. Walk-ins end up waiting a good 20-25 minutes, especially during Saturday and Sunday brunch. Having been here before a couple of times, I noted that the menu changed and I think it changed for the better. We ordered a couple of items to split, and everything was so good. We started with the BLT deviled eggs. Beautifully constructed and yum! These are one of the items that remained on the old menu, and it is clear why. They may be called deviled, but it certainly is more on the divine side. We also ordered the crab croquettes and they were ok, but nothing amazing to write about. For our main entree, we ordered the croque madame with the mornay sauce on the side. This was also a delicious, delicious entree. The gruyere was perfection and the mornay sauce was excellent for dipping the homemade biscuit in as well. Highly recommend all of what we ordered. It is more on the expensive side, so just be aware of what you are getting into. Servers and staff are polite and attentive, as they always are. read more

This was just for lunch, but started out sharing the crab croquettes. Fluffy and lightly fried with a perfect mayo-based dipping sauce. A great start. I had the Koji fried chicken sandwich that was very good and we shared a spectacular gooey butter cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for a shared dessert. Corinne is one of those good go-to spots. When we can't decide where to eat, we know it'll hit. This time we sat at the bar for brunch, which we don't do often, and Ryan was our bartender. He set the tone right away! Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. The restaurant is located in the Meridian hotel and is it really beautiful. The staff was so friendly and the menu is lovely. Our waitress Jessica was very attentive and helpful even when we had a small hiccup with our order, she fixed it right away. I love going to places where we share and this was no exception. First order of business, 3 lovely flakey biscuits with butter and jam. Had I known they would be so I good.... I would have stopped there! We also had the pancakes with bourbon maple syrup, eggs bennie (with smoked salmon) and the omelet with gruyere cheese. I truly loved everything except the bennie.... Came here with some friends for dinner and though in a convenient spot for downtown, the parking is tough which affected my experience a bit. Started off with heirloom tomato salad, baked oysters and the carb croquettes. The only one I would get again is the crab croquettes. There was a decent amount of crab stuffed in there and was quite flavorful. The salad looked smashed down and was oddly spicy in not a good way. The oysters were decent but overpriced, only 5 oysters for $24!! Then we split the braised short rib for dinner, overall cooked decent just didn't love the flavor. My other friend had the burger and said it was tasty! Large amount of fries it came with so that's also a win! Overall, some good food. I loved having dinner at Corinne! My best friend and I came on Christmas, it was one of the few places that looked good and was open, and even stayed open until 11 PM ! We were able to find pretty close parking, although it is mostly street parking in the area. We got a cute table by the window, this place is inside a hotel and has such a relaxing atmosphere, with ambient lighting, and a colorful, full bar, lighting the back wall, bringing this place to life. They were even showing the Nuggets game on their TV in the corner :) and our server Chris was absolutely incredible, so friendly and gave the best recommendations. My friend loved her margarita and we both had salads - I had the cherry wood, and she had the wedge, we both added steak to it, and it was really delicious, with unique flavors, the goat cheese really brought out the cherrywood salad so well, the creaminess lining every bite with an explosion of flavor and texture. They even had these tiny little tomatoes with a swoop on one side that I had never seen before and were so delicious with a little crunch. Definitely will come back ! read more

We were looking for a new place near the DCPA for brunch before a show. Fortunately we chose Corinne. We had a reservation and I wasn't sure we needed one but they were full by the time we left. The service was excellent and our server, Jessica, made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant opens up to the lobby of Le Meridian Hotel and we had to go in to the hotel to find the restrooms. We started our meal with an order of biscuits and they were delicious. We had the pancakes, ham and gruyere omelet and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The Benedict came out with no salmon and the hollandaise was supposed to be on the side so it had to be remade. We were almost done with the rest of our food by the time the correct order was served. The kitchen was backed up. All our food was very good but the corn cakes under the Benedict were dry and not as good as everything else. The restaurant is comfortable and bright with large windows at the front. I look forward to going back to try the dinner menu. read more

Staying at the hotel and having flown in a couple of hours earlier this was a most excellent experience. It was busy and loud with convention people but it quieted down after 8 and didn't stop us from enjoying excellent food and stellar service from Shawna (sp?). We started with crab croquettes and moved on to cups of delicious French onion soup, a favorite comfort food. We were surprised and delighted by the tomato salad. It had an amazing combination of flavors with watermelon and hot peppers along with the tomatoes and left a heated impression that was quite different. We finished with the spare ribs which were a fitting climax to the evening. We shared our choices and they were brought to the table on individual plates and that was perfect. We are here two nights and were it not for the fact that I made reservations for Alma Fonda two months ago we would return tonight! What do I say about a brunch spot that we chose to eat at, two days in a row. It was delicious and a great atmosphere. We're not always sure about restaurants inside hotels, but this one inside Le Meridian was fabulous. We were able to walk in on a Saturday and a Sunday, and we chose to sit inside, although the outdoor seating is very nice as well. (There are also a few bar spots.) On Saturday, we started with the BLT Deviled eggs - they were very tasty. My husband can be a little bit picky with deviled eggs and he really liked these!! For mains- my husband ordered the egg sandwich, and I chose 'eggs your way'. I had egg whites with chicken sausage and the potatoes - all very delicious! (We ordered the Mimosa me Crazy... it comes with orange and guava juices, which my husband got. I stuck with the classic OJ.) On Sunday, when we went back, we started with the crab croquettes- which was a great choice, they were fabulous!! Mains- my husband chose the Croque Madame- which sadly, I did not take a picture of- it was fantastic. I ordered 'eggs your way' again with egg whites. bacon & avocado (no potatoes this time!!) . **Both days I ordered the Ginger Sunrise: carrot, golden beet, orange, ginger, turmeric... wow- so delicious!! The atmosphere was really nice, and at first glance, it appears to be a small restaurant. But when you look around and see other rooms and the outside area, you realize it's a little bit bigger than expected, yet still very nice and quaint/cozy. Our server the first day was great- very knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job. CJ was our server the second day and was amazing. Great personality, very knowledgeable about the menu and, just all in all, a great experience both days. Definitely recommend Corinne if you're in the Denver downtown area for brunch. read more

Corinne was a first-time visit for us for a birthday happy hour, and overall we really enjoyed it. The space is cute and tucked just off the main hotel lobby, with another entrance off the street that opens to outdoor seating as well. We started with the crab croquettes and baked oysters, and both were easily 5-star dishes for us. We then shared the Caesar salad and wagyu burger. Both were good, though neither really stood out. The burger was cooked exactly how we asked (medium), and the beef flavor was classic and straightforward. The bun was unfortunately pretty dry, but the fries were great. Portion sizes on both the burger and Caesar were perfect for sharing. The cocktails off the happy hour menu were okay, though a little too sweet for our taste. We tried the Strawberry & Me, Prickly Paradise, and Hugo Spritz. Service was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit, and overall we're glad we tried it. read more

We were in Denver, staying downtown, looked online for a dinner reservation. Decided on Corinne, their menu had a variety of dishes to choose from. We decided to try the pre fixe menu, it offered several things that we were interested in trying. The kale and apple salad was flavorful and crisp and great start. Our entrees, Scottish Salmon and the Short Ribs, both generous portions and delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly, served on a bed of lentils and broccolini. The ribs served with potatoes and carrots. Our desserts, key lime pie and bread pudding were both generous servings, also delicious. Our table was taken care of by Shane, who offered excellent service. Thank you, Shane! Corinne is adjacent to the lobby of hotel in downtown Denver, but this is a cut above your typical hotel dining location. Beautifully decorated trendy restaurant that is lively. Make a reservation or walk-in to sit and eat at the bar; first come first serve. Cocktails are made well, nice variety of wines, and a great menu. Ordered a fish that unfortunately came out overdone and had to be sent back; server was highly apologetic and did not make us feel bad about sending it back. Highly recommend the octopus. A bit on the pricier side. Open to going back but not sure if it is at the top of the list. read more

Came in for brunch on Sunday. Made reservations for 4 and then needed to add one more, but OpenTable said I couldn't get the 1PM time I wanted, rather it would end up being 8PM. So, I called them and they said it would be at least another hour, so we excluded the last person who wanted to come and kept it at 4. Got there, checked in and was seated pretty quickly. Service at the table was great, our server was helpful and sincerely provided very good service. The brunch menu isn't very impressive, mostly breakfast-type items, not so much from their lunch menu, which was disappointing, as we previously saw their lunch menu and were hoping for more along those lines. While we were there, we did see other tables empty, thus we could have had our 5th join us, made no sense why this was an issue, as they weren't that busy, even though a large convention was in town (and we were part of it). As for the food - The crab croquettes were really good! Nicely made, great texture, lots of crab, and flavorful. The deviled eggs were just OK. Somewhat bland, but decent. The Philly chicken bowl was pretty good, but seemed to be lacking something, a component perhaps to help round it out. The cobb salad for one guest in our party came out without dressing at all - so she had to wait until we could get our server's attention to let him know. He said "that's not good, it's been happening a lot lately" when we told him. What's up with the kitchen? Overall, nice place, would definitely return, just hope they square the kitchen and their reservation system up, as both seem to be deficient. read more
