Chicken pot pie
Will S.

What a solid spot! We came for the happy hour (5-6) and we really enjoyed it! We got 3 beers, 4 dishes off happy hour and the biscuits off the regular menu and it was $85 with tip! Not terrible! Inside was smaller than I expected but they did the best they could. Seating runs along each wall with a long dining table in the middle for multiple parties. We got the biscuits (AMAZING), the pork bbq wings (delicious), the lamb eggrolls (really didn't like) and the chicken pot pie (wow omg good)

Checked out this spot for dinner this evening and I must say Work & Class lives up to its reputation. Although the portion size is small the flavors are HUGE! All of the plates I ordered paired exceptional together and I would recommend all of the following: The coriander lamb, the brisket, the jalapeño cornbread, and the green chile Mac n cheese. I loved all of these dishes and I was extremely satisfied with this dinner! I finished it off with the seasonal palisade peach tort and boy am I glad I did because this entire meal just knocked my socks off!!! Highly recommend this spot!!!

Went to dinner after a long work day and it was just what I needed. Everyone was cheerful and nice. We got a seat at the chef's counter and I was SO impressed - I spoke to one of the 3 cooks briefly and he confirmed they were the ones cooking and prepping all the food. The restauramt was busy, our food was delicious and came out very efficiently so I was amazed by this 3-person team. Our server, T, was also phenomenal - just a genuinely nice and easy-going personality! I spilled water at some point and the staff was even really gracious and cracked a couple jokes to put me at ease. I was happy with the food choices. It was a mix of HH and regular dinner menu. The Smoked Picanha and Lamb were both good but the lamb was cooked perfectly and was my favorite. We also got the plantain empanadas, chicken pot pie, and fries - solid choices. The pot pie had a flaky crusted top and fries ended up being a nice late night snack. Drinks: Sesame Piña Margarita, and Blood Orange Tomato Basil Gin cocktail

4.5, rounded up! W&C has been on my list to try for what feels like years, and it was time to make it happen! We went on the early side on a Saturday and got counter seats without a wait, woo! The food was solid and I loved our friendly, helpful server. It's happy hour from 5-6, so we tried the lamb barbacoa tacos. They were good - big fan of the homemade tortillas. The tacos definitely had a bit of kick. For the main, we tried the steak (picanha) and the lamb, paired with harissa roasted veg and the mac and cheese. Everything was good! I preferred the lamb to the steak and my husband was the opposite -- so both were top-notch. And I was grateful for some veggies in this meal w the roasted veg! The mac and cheese was good but the reviews on here make it seem potentially life changing, and it was not that for me ;) We didn't have room for dessert but I'll be back to try it on another trip!

Pretty good, nice ambiance and friendly waiters but frankly the food didn't blow me away. I think this place is great for a night out with coworkers but won't blow you away from a culinary the shrimp and grits + jalepeno cornbread was the star of the show. The proteins were nice too, with the lamb being our favorite. The trout was hard to debone and clean and the steak was decent but at around $60 per pound the value ratio felt off for me. Desserts were ok; nothing memorable in my mind but at the same time none of them were off putting. I expected a little more but wasn't utterly disappointed.

Work & Class was a cool and casual spot to hang out with friends. The service was amazing and the tapas were absolutely delicious. Among some of the many tapas we shared were the massive attack salad (amazing), empanadas, whole trout (which was deboned tableside), brandy mushroom brisket, and chickpea croquettes. I'll definitely be back to try the tapas I missed.

A Front-Row Seat to Culinary Excellence at Work & Class! My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Work & Class this past Saturday, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the energy--the place was absolutely hopping, buzzing with the happy chatter of diners, without an empty seat in sight. We were lucky enough to snag two spots right at the chef's table overlooking the kitchen, which turned our fantastic dinner into an unforgettable event. Watching Chef Antonio and his team was like watching a perfectly choreographed performance. They moved with incredible skill and precision, crafting one beautiful meal after another. Chef Antonio himself was working a million miles a minute, yet he was still incredibly personable, taking the time to share stories with us and even passing along bites of other amazing dishes he was preparing. He told us how everything is prepared from scratch starting at 6 am every morning, and that his own mother comes in to make the tortillas fresh daily! It was truly dinner and a show! Now, for the incredible food and drinks. We kicked things off with some fantastic cocktails, the standout being the Pomegranate Ginger Thyme with gin--a perfect start to the meal. Everything we ordered to eat was a home run. The Achiote Citrus Fried Trout was a standout--so fresh, perfectly fried, and absolutely delicious with its accompanying house-made tortillas, lime-oil slaw, and jalapeño aioli. We also savored the Hickory Smoked Picanha, a simple yet perfectly executed salt-and-pepper fat cap sirloin. The Plantain Empanadas were another highlight, and for sides, the Harissa Roasted Veggies and Caprese Potato Gnocchi were fantastic. To top it all off, the Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream was the perfect rich and decadent finish. As if that wasn't enough, we also got to taste the incredible coriander-roasted Colorado Lamb and a heavenly Butterscotch Pudding. Every single bite was a delight. The fantastic service wasn't limited to the chef's counter. Every single staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and efficient. The manager, Johnny, also stopped by and chatted for a while, really making us feel at home there. It was clear we were watching a well-oiled machine where everyone played their part to perfection. The restaurant's setting is just as unique as the experience. Housed in a building constructed from shipping containers, the decor has a cool, modern-industrial aesthetic that pays a fitting homage to the "working man" as its name suggests. Work & Class isn't just a restaurant; it's a complete dining experience. The combination of incredible food, a vibrant atmosphere, and a truly passionate and engaging team makes this a must-visit spot in Denver. We will absolutely be back. If you get the chance, I highly recommend grabbing a seat at the chef's counter--you won't regret it!

Went here for dinner with my family of four on a Thursday night at 6:45. It had been years since I'd been here but was excited to go back! Forgot how small/intimate the interior is - it was quite loud but unfortunately outdoor seating wasn't available. Our family did the following for shareable: - Massive Attack Salad: very fresh and tasty, although the tempura broccoli were WAY too crispy - Meats: One trout and 1/2 pound of smoked picanha. These were both delicious but quite pricey for the size of the portions. The trout was prepared table side i.e., our waitress removed the backbone and did a note job explaining how to eat i.e., trying the meat in the fish cheeks. The crispy seasoning was delicious and we enjoyed making fish tacos. The flavor on the steak was also delicious but a little rare for me. - Sides: rice and beans, and mashed potatoes. Would never have thought to get rice and beans but the waitress said this was her favorite side - it didn't disappoint! Again though on pricing, for a small portion being $11, the sides were honestly way overpriced in my opinion. The waitress warned it was going to be a light dinner with the items we got, but it was a good portion for the four of us and we didn't feel stuffed when we left!

Blue Corn Empanadas & Chickpea Croquettes Both yummy

The food was great. Ryan our server-very helpful. Fun atmosphere. Try several plates - they are small.

Great place for date night! Definitely should make a reservation, but if not, they have an area to sit you next to the kitchen. We got the whole fried trout, mac & cheese, harissa roast vegetables. All very delicious and flavorful. I wish the mac & cheese have more cheeses, but it was so good. There is free parking around the restaurant. Service was very attentive, friendly and informative.

A cocktail with a frothy, creamy surface is presented in a coupe glass on a dark bar counter. The background is blurred, showing bar equipment and bottles, indicating a bar or lounge setting. The drink appears to be a coffee or dessert cocktail, with a smooth, foamy top and a dark liquid beneath.

The service is truly unlike anywhere else. The GM Johnny, clearly loves his job, but he loves happy customers even more. My husband and I stopped by without a reservation on a busy night, and even though the restaurant was packed, we were offered a drink while we waited. We were seated at the bar within 15 minutes. The drinks were unique and refreshing, and the food was absolutely amazing. We wish we had room for dessert, but at least we got to take some delicious leftovers home! I will definitely be bringing my out of town friends here.

I'm glad I made a reservation here because this place was popping! It's a bit louder than I like and the tables are a bit close together, but the food here was all so delicious! Next time, I will make sure to come with a bigger appetite so I can try more of the delicious sides and meats on the menu.

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

The entire experience was elevated by the amazing service from Kristi, who was attentive, friendly, and truly made our night special. The bar boasts a super fun goth vibe that's perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit, or just taking a well-deserved break from binging True Blood. While the aesthetic is a bit cleaner than the grungier charm of their previous location (as we've heard), it's still highly stylized with fun signage and great photo ops everywhere you look. Most importantly, the drinks were delicious. They clearly know how to mix a cocktail here. We highly encourage the "666 Shots"--they are fantastic and a perfect fit for the bar's theme! That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Cozy spot for some classy bites and cocktails. I think I probably got off on the wrong foot when I asked for sparkling water instead of flat and found out it was $7 per personal mini bottle (and they don't have club soda). My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.
