I graduated from a school out of state with several friends that also live in different states. Since we graduated from CSU, we found this spot in Denver to eat at to celebrate our graduation. We made a reservation well ahead of time without really knowing what to expect. The parking situation was pain in the butt. There is supposedly valet, but there was a big line and we opted for parking in a ramp and walked the rest of the way. We arrived for our reservation, so I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. They have some very unique offerings that I tried with my group, most of which were very tasty. When it was time to sit down, we were moved to a large table set up for around 20 people in the middle of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy, so it was not too loud. Our server was amazing. She tended to our very silly group with humor and grace. Since we were a large group - we quite literally ordered tons of items and shared. Came here for dinner with my husband prior to our reservation at Mirror of Illusions. The ladies (servers and bartender) working were very attentive. While the food took awhile, it was definitely worth the wait. The beet it martini was super yummy. I also loved the grilled cheese and tomato soup entree. Our first experience with Apple Blossom was disappointing. The smothered breakfast burrito was uneventful with burned bacon, and the green chili was like eating kindergarten flour paste. The bloody Mary was also forgettable. We sat at the bar and had to request a wipe down. The restaurant overall is dirty and unsanitary. Our server took the food order of the person sitting next to us first, even though we were seated several minutes before her. One of the servers was surly and constantly complaining under his breath about his coworkers. We had to ask for everything, including a to go box for leftovers. The staff was inattentive, and appeared inexperienced, overwhelmed and unprofessional. There are better options close by, so we won't be back. read more

We are here a couple times as I had some hotel credit to use staying at Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver. I have nothing to complain about with any of the items we got at lunch. The baked Brie was really good for a fall theme as the raspberry/cranberry spread tasted so yummy. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty solid - seasoned really well, juicy but not too soggy, and great for sharing with your partner. The lunch was pretty good but the breakfast burrito we had a few days later was so amazing! I didn't know Denver really liked their pork green chile, but that was the perfect ... sauce? to go with the breakfast burrito. And for it being $15 the portion was crazy big! Definitely try the breakfast burrito if you have any interest in Apple Blossom. One note - lunch menu changes at 11am but it is close to 10:50am as the kitchen packages up ingredients early. read more

Wow! Now one of our favorite breakfast venues! After just one visit!! We stopped in on Mother's Day, as our other favorite venues were all doing big brunches. Our preference is to order off the menu vs surfing the brunch buffet. So, we made our way to Apple Blossom - 11 blocks from our home. Not far, but sort of outside our typical range. Especially during a consistent light rain storm. No worries! A shuttle ride from Union Station got us really close. Then a short one block walk to Apple Blossom restaurant - in the Hyatt. Here, the restaurant just had the menu to order from, with a few specials for Mother's Day! Perfect! Along the way we had stopped for coffee. This time, 2 soy milk lattes as the coffee shop was out of oat milk. No worries! These coffees, from Illy, were delicious! On to the menu at Apple Blossom. Our server, gave us a nice overview of the menu and was very friendly and engaging. We loved the menu and after input from our server we decided on pancakes - cooked in a cast iron skillet and then finished in the oven. This would yield one pancake for each of us. She ordered hers plain. I ordered mine with sliced banana on top and Nutella. Both versions of their pancake were fantastic. Light! Fluffy! Delicious! Big! These pancakes take a bit longer to cook. Yet, ours came out fast. In any event, they are worth waiting for! Highly recommended if you like pancakes. Especially if you love pancakes!! Service was great. The venue is very comfortable. Since it was in our hotel we eat there every morning. Staffs are very nice. All of them were super friendly and helpful. They make very good espresso and breakfast. Also they serve tea in a little pot and then you can pour on your on. Avocado toast comes with arugula and tomato and pickled onion with some balsamic vinegar and it was amazing. I took without egg on the top, and also comes with whole potato which was a good combination. Also their burgers are very good but if you want side of bacon or avocado they will charge you 6 bucks. Little over priced. Alo breakfast burrito was very good and very Big couldn't even finish it. Everything Is so clean and tables are always set up for dinning. I am extremely disappointed by my experience at the hotel's restaurant this morning, which sharply contrasted with the otherwise beautiful property. When I entered the restaurant, I was not greeted or acknowledged by staff. After standing there for some time, I politely asked the bartender whether I should seat myself. Her response was shockingly rude and dismissive: "No, just wait there and try to be a little patient." The tone was unnecessary and unprofessional, and I was left genuinely taken aback. Once seated, I informed the waitress that I was waiting for my friend to join me. About five minutes later, my friend arrived and sat down. After reviewing the menu, we politely let the waitress know, with a smile, "Whenever you have a moment, we're ready to order--no rush." Her response was openly hostile: "Can't you see I'm busy right now? Just wait your turn." At that point, another server stepped in and took over. While she was more professional, her demeanor was cold and unwelcoming. There was no sense of hospitality, warmth, or attentiveness--qualities I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The rooms themselves were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the treatment we received at breakfast left such a strong negative impression that I will not be returning to this hotel. I truly expected better service and professionalism from an otherwise outstanding property. read more

Service is terrible, extremely passive aggressive. I got takeout and the bartender helped take my order and make the drinks. She was extremely passive aggressive. I saw a dessert menu and tried to ask about that and she was so dismissive and rude about it. Apparently for brunch they don't have a dessert menu, which is fine but they didn't need to be rude about it. The restaurant was empty for brunch, she told me the food would take 15-20 min so I waited in the lobby, but she didn't pack it up until 30 minutes later. I opened up the package not even five minutes later and the food was cold? Did she just wait until the food was cold to bring it out? Marginal experience for brunch this weekend. In short, satisfied with food, disappointment in service and value. This restaurant charges a 23% service charge in lieu of gratuity. I have no problem with this concept, except it obvious there was no incentive for quality service. At the end of the day, we had to ask for menus, ask for a share plate, and did not get checked on after receiving our food. As I was looking around the restaurant, I noticed a wall mounted airplane plant above us. The plant was neglected and was starting to wither away as the vase was bone dry. To me, this was a perfect illustration of the my experience of the service received- inattentive, didn't care, everyone said "it was not my job" and no one stepped out of their way to help After all, they were already getting their tip automatically. Pretty average experience to start with- had reservation, was greeted at door, slight wait for a table to be cleared. Once seated, the waiter came and asked if we wanted to start with any drinks. This was a bit awkward since we did not yet have menus and had to ask for them. For a drink, I had the $12 espresso martini. For $12, I was disappointed it was small and came in a wine glass despite being a martini. However, it did taste good. My companion and I shared the breakfast burrito. We had to request a second plate to split the burrito, but it was good. Could have been spicier and hotter in temperature, but good nonetheless. Waiter did not check in us until after I had already cleared my plate. Ambiance and atmosphere was good The place banks on being a trendy hotel lobby in a downtown space. Apple Blossom is a restaurant that is oriented towards serving locally-sourced/seasonally available dishes. Being at the ground floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel is fitting as the new Hyatt concept looks to highlight local sights and activities in its decor. The restaurant's hotel-based location also allows opportunity to experience a full portfolio of menu items -- from breakfast to late night Happy Hour, every day of the week. However this is not your typical hotel-based restaurant food and service, and a visit will squash any bias a diner may have had. Following a restaurant design trend, Apple Blossom has a variety of seating configurations and semi-private nooks, and as such is poised to meet the needs of a range of diners' needs, from solo hotel visitors to large gatherings of friends, family, or colleagues (even event-sized (20-30 people)). The restaurant design appeared as if it came from Anthropologie's design and buyer teams, with modern, organic dining chairs, large olive glass water tumblers, and wall art. Service is impeccable, being attentive, yet non-Intrusive, as well as informative. Service tips are embedded in the bill at a flat rate of 23%, and are reportedly distributed to all restaurant employees as an equity move. Another impressive move was the serving of gratis appetizers at dinner. Since menu changes, it might be best to solicit the recommendations of servers. The following were recommended fall 2022: Breakfast: The egg sandwich, smoked trout sandwich, burrito, and Croque Madame were recommended by two servers (apparently beloved pancakes are not on the menu at the time). The smoked trout is complimented by peppery arugula and think slices of tart green apple, and served on a toasted poppy seed bagel. Hot Earl Grey tea paired well. The egg sandwich also included peppery arugula, but also a thin layer of beet purée. This added brightness and color to the common sandwich. Don't recommend selecting the optional addition of bacon as it is chewy, rather than crisp, and difficult to bite into. Macchiato paired well with this dish. Both dishes are served with French bistro style potatoes-- small cubes with crisp exterior. Dinner: The skate and fried chicken dishes were recommended. However we hesitated to order as they were relatively expensive, and one dish was totally unfamiliar (skate), while the other was overly familiar (fried chicken). We went with the duck French dip, a twist on popular beef sandwiches served with a cup of broth for dipping. This was disappointing. Unlike the other restaurant dishes, there was no effort to add color or surprise to the dish. The sandwich would have benefited with some color and complexity, such as adding pickled Julienne carrots to the sandwich. Just doesn't belong on the menu as is. Sticking to server recommendations would likely have supported a better introduction to the chef's creative efforts. Dessert: A trio of sweets were spectacular and I bookmarked the idea that the restaurant is a worthy late night destination for this desert, coupling it with a glass of wine. The mocha -themed trio included Mexican wedding cake cookie with ground ancho pepper and coffee beans, a slice of layered opera cake, and a tiny bowl of Panna Cotta. Valet parking is available at rate of $10 for two hours, but metered parking and parking garages are also in the vicinity. read more

The other amazing burger I had this weekend was from Apple Blossom. It's the restaurant downstairs in my hotel. I order the regular burger with fries. Another super flavorful, juicy burger cooked a perfect medium temp. There's an herb butter added to the burger that's odd but a really good addition. For the fries, I've never been a fan of shoe string fries. The show string fries here were nice and crispy but lacked flavor unless you happened to grab one of the fries with salt on it. Also, the beet ketchup was very different. It wasn't bad but I'm not a huge fan of beets so it was hard to eat. When I asked for a to-go box for the rest of my fries, my server gave me regular ketchup. I went back the next day for breakfast and although I really wanted another burger, I ordered the Corned Lamb Shank Hash. I regretted not ordering the burger. The flavor of the hash was okay but not as good. The horse radish sauce which helped the flavor tremendously was scarce and place at the bottom of the dish, underneath everything. The addition of the spaghetti squash was a first for me. I eat spaghetti squash but I don't think I've seen a restaurant add it to a dish, especially not a dish like this. Lastly, let's talk about the Skillet Cookie. I had it two days in a row. The cookie comes out still hot, crispy around the edges but soft and gooey in the middle. It's also a salted chocolate and the addition of the salt really pairs well with the sweetness of the chocolate. It's topped with your choice of ice cream that starts to melt just a little as they bring it out, making the cookie even softer and creating it's own sauce. 10/10 recommend. I loved this place! I had a hearing at the courthouse down the street and I just needed a place to have lunch and hang while I waited. Because it was just me, I sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly. The grain bowl I got was surprisingly delicious. The ambiance was really nice. This restaurant was part of the Hyatt Centric when I visited. So the restaurant and the lobby just melded together. It gave me a nice place to chill after lunch before my hearing. But the restaurant was huge - the lobby was pretty tiny. I'm going to crave that grain bowl fortnightly. I just know it. I'll be back. read more

If there's one thing you need to order from here do their PANCAKE. It's enough to warrant a measurement when it gets to your table. It's not dense by any means . It's fluffy! It's crunchy exterior and almost melt in your mouth overall effect that we kept on coming back for more! Their CORNED LAMB SHANK HASH. So pretty and oh so delicious. There's many things happening with this dish. The diminutive size is not an issue believe me. You will love this dish! With a side of shoe string fries. If you woke up wanting something sweet for breakfast get this- Deep Fried Bananas Foster French Toast. It's a mouthful of a name but it'll satisfy your yearning for that dessert for breakfast! :) Their Brunch on w/e is from 8-2. Awesome staff. What a really cool and unique place! We came here as it's across from our office and some of our coworkers were staying at the hotel. The flavors on the dishes were really unique and impressive. We ordered the burrata to start and it was delicious. I would never think sweet corn and mushrooms with a burrata would work - but wow! For dinner we ordered the chilled buckwheat chitarra, rigatoni, and tofu steak (it is butter basted but my friend is vegan so they made it without butter). All the dishes were really impressive. They were very accommodating to our friend who was vegan, and she said it was the best Tofu she had - cooked perfectly. The portions were great to fill you up but not leave you overly full. They also gave us a carrot tartare complimentary, which was full of flavor and really good - not something I would try normally but I was glad I did! We ordered wine and the nonalcoholic drink - Texas Mohito - which was good but very sweet! Nestled at the bottom of Hyatt Hotel, we believe in downtown Denver; is this nice little brunch spot called Apple Blossom. The interior is nice quaint & cute according to the ladies in our brunch group. There are nice little paintings on the wall and flowers on the tables. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted by a smiley person & offered water while we looked over the menu. The drinks were really good. I opted for the Corned Lamb Shank Hash, which is to die for, and it came with fries and an amazing Beet ketchup. Yes, you heard right!!! You don't want any other ketchup after having this Beet ketchup. For your information they should bottle & sell it to customers. This is what I have come to expect from the great farm to table restaurants in Colorado, such great bright & flavorful bites, drinks, and main dishes. As a group, we shared THE most amazing pancake I have ever had! I didn't get a picture, but uts the big fluffy one you see on their site, or others have photographed. My best advice is to get a main dish & share the pancake as like dessert. I don't know if they served this pancake during dinner, but if they did, I would order dinner and then have that pancake with a scoop of homemade ice cream for dessert; it's that good So if you want great service, good drinks, and great farm to table food, come on down here and enjoy a nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere with clients or for a date. Don't Bother! Apple Blossom never really blossomed for us when my wife and I dined there In April of this year. We were looking forward to a good meal on our last night in Denver. However, nothing could be more from the truth. We started out with a very nice interaction with the bartender, but then were turned over to a waitress who did seem to care about serving us. After 20 minutes, we received four tiny pieces of bread that were certainly not worth $12.50. Next, another 40 minutes passed before we received our entree. The food was below average and not hot.
