Really cute matcha stand in Denver! They have a multitude of matcha and sweet treats like soft serve and taiyaki. We found this stand walking around in the morning and I got the mango matcha. I also tried the taro matcha. Both were pretty solid, mango matcha was on the sweeter side which I enjoyed. The taro matcha was less sweet but also had less matcha taste, lasted more like taro milk but also solid!
This place is super cute. Ran into this place while walking around downtown Denver and decided to stop for a drink and it was good. My taro matcha had a nice flavor and they offer a variety of drink and ice cream. The service was also super nice and chill.
Strawberry matcha is well flavored, their syrup does not taste artificial and easily incorporated into their drink. Matcha soft serve was perfect for a hot day as well, the matcha is not too overpowering and had a good balance with cream and matcha. Service was a little slow due to how big their shop is. I would come back again and recommend to people who visit.
The service was quick! The kiosk was easy to find. Theres cute seating nearby with trees for shade. The matcha soft serve was tasty and fresh! Great on a summer evening.

Every time I'm in Larimer Square, I have to swing by this adorable little matcha spot on the corner--it's basically a ritual at this point. But let's talk about that ice cream cone--it's next level. Creamy, perfectly balanced, and just the right mix of earthy matcha and sweet strawberry. I've been thinking about it ever since my first bite. They've got a solid variety on the menu, whether you're a matcha purist or want something a little more fun and fruity. Everything feels thoughtfully made and consistently good. If you're anywhere near Larimer Square, do yourself a favor and stop by--you'll probably end up dreaming about it too.
Been craving Matcha and this was such a nice, refreshing treat! They are located on the corner of Larimer & 16th ST, across the street from The Cheesecake Factory. If you'd like Matcha and like it well-made, this is it! I really appreciated that a lot of the options were dairy-free and they could accommodate with substitutions if requested.
A very solid addition of the 16th Strip Mall. The softserve is smooth and very creamy. The matcha and strawberry flavor goes hand in hand like Kenana and Kel. Perfect for those hot sunny days, you can't go wrong with Ichigo. It's one of the best softserves you can get in the Denver area.

Excellent matcha! I love that they don't make super sweet sugar bomb drinks. My taro matcha was barely sweet which I appreciated so much! Service was friendly and surprisingly quick. When I arrived there was no line but it did quickly form behind me. I couldn't resist the fish cone and loved it! I got the strawberry and matcha swirl - the sweetness of the strawberry and earthiness of matcha was a perfect balance for my frozen treat. The taiyaki is actually hollowed out with Nutella spread inside, and it comes with a mini macaroon (doesn't fit the Japanese theme). Can't wait to return again & again!
I think I've been here 4 times in the past 5 days. OBSESSED! I love being in different neighborhoods and getting to try different places like this! I was cat-sitting in this neighborhood and once I discovered this place, I had to keep going back! I love the iced Yuzu-matcha and I get boba added! So delicious! I had that thrice and then on my last day, I tried the strawberry iced match with added boba! It was so light, cool/crisp and refreshing and most importantly not overly sweet at ALL. Perfectly balanced! If I get more work in this part of town, I will definitely be back repeatedly!
This is instagram food... but it will still make you full Flavors are diluted and I question the ingredients since it made me too full after only eating a bit of it. The fish cone was actually very good with nutella inside but the actual swirl was mediocre
Sooooo cute and definitely worth the stop! We tried the matcha and strawberry soft serve, and both were so delicious. The flavors were fresh, creamy, and the perfect sweet treat. The service was quick, and while there isn't much seating inside, there are plenty of spots along the street where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your ice cream. What a delightful find on the 16th Ave strip. Ichigo is a little kiosk from which Japanese treats are served. We had the matcha and strawberry swirl soft serve. It was a good balance between the intense grassiness of the matcha and the sweetness of the strawberry. I ordered mine in a tayaki lined with Nutella. It came out as a sundae with the tayaki on top plus a little lemon macaron and two pocky sticks. To absolutely no one's surprise, this was too much dessert (at least for me) and could have been split with someone else. There are some fish sculptures to sit on and a couple Adirondack chairs, but otherwise you might need to stand while eating or take it while you walk. Less than ideal but comes with the whole kiosk thing. The staff wasn't so great at communicating options and so, for example, my friend wasn't given the option to choose her cone flavor though they clearly had 3 options. No big deal--definitely worth a stop on a hot day. read more
Having been to Japan a few years ago, I was extremely excited to hear about Ichigo Matcha. I have been a matcha lover for year, prior to going to Japan but fell in love with matcha soft serve while visiting Japan. Though not as good as what I experienced in Japan it was still a delightful treat. I highly recommend if you enjoy matcha and you're in the downtown area, stop by Ichigo Matcha and grab a soft serve for sure! They also have drinks and a sando to experience. You can get a plain matcha soft serve or swirled with strawberry soft serve. Their matcha drinks also have OG or fruit enhancements. read more

This is a cute little spot located down from Larimer street. It's been on my list for a while but it's harder to visit because I'm not in downtown a lot except for shows. We came an hour before they closed and barely beat the sudden rush. When we were here, there were 2 people working so it took a hot minute to get our order. They gave me a free fish cone for waiting. It's a really cute little stand and they were playing chill Japanese pop music. On a side note, please educate and teach your children to not hit someone else's decor. I watched two girls continuously jump and knock the koi fish and their mom didn't do anything. We got the strawberry matcha soft serve and a black sesame drink. The soft serve is some of the best I've had in Denver. It's not too sweet but a nice balance between the strawberry and matcha. The black sesame drink can be skipped. It was a very faint sesame flavor and it tasted watered down milk. I would come just for the ice cream. read more
Was strolling down 16th St Mall and came across a cute looking matcha shack. They had a cute and not too extensive menu. If I hadn't just had a rather large meal, I would've gotten their taiyaki soft serve. Opted for an Matcha Oat Latte $8.5 (.50 extra for oat). 4.5/5, it has a very strong matcha flavor. It was a little too sweet for my liking and wasn't fully sifted through but the most matcha like matcha I've had in some time! (They don't skimp on their matcha). We got the drink quite quickly ~3 mins. Since it's a small shack you can see them making it. Nearby there's plenty of seating and we opted for the fish chairs (not pictured) read more
Came here to try the matcha latte since I was around the Union Station area. It is a small little matcha stand the size of a little booth. Their main focus are the matcha drinks and soft serves. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It is on the corner of 16th street where the shuttle stop is. They were playing Japanese music and it felt like a little Japan for a minute. The matcha latte with oatmilk was pretty mid and there were still lots of matcha chunks at the bottom of the drink. It was a hot day when I came as well and I thought the drink was not adequately cold. They added very little ice. I should have tried their soft serve instead. read more
We were just on a stroll in Denver when we came across this cute little Japanese milk tea shop and we're so happy we got to try it! The menu options were adorable and aesthetically pleasing. It was tempting not to try every thing in the menu. The workers were also very friendly and sweet! I wish we had something like this in Chicago because I would've definitely been a regular! My recommendation: The new matcha espresso latte was smooth and creamy. It has the perfect amount of sweetness! The espresso gave me just the right amount of energy for the rest of the day. The cheddar taiyaki was amazing! Very cheesy and melty. We were considering ordering another one because it was so good. No sauce needed! We also got to try the banana latte which had an interesting taste. It wasn't the artificial banana flavor that we were expecting, I didn't like it as much as the matcha espresso latte but my fiancé did so to each their own! read more

This food stand has a good variety of boba drinks and ice cream. The matcha strawberry swirl was so refreshing. The fish waffle cone was a good sweet pair with the ice cream. The service was quick. The place is unassuming, but very easy to access being on the free bus route. I'm so glad we got off the bus to try it. While I was walking around 16th street mall with my friend we saw this little matcha shop and decided to try it. We got the matcha and strawberry taiyaki and it was a really good and smooth ice cream but I didn't really taste the matcha it just tasted like vanilla ice cream but it was still very good! My favorite part is always the fish pastry and dipping it in the ice cream. The lady who took our order was very sweet and we got our order in like a minute. Overall it wasn't bad if you want to stop by for a quick dessert but it definitely wasn't the best matcha ice creams I've had. read more

We were excited to try because my daughter loves Matcha. But we got there and they didn't have the matcha soft serve. They said it's too hot to run the machine. Yet they had strawberry machine going. They call themselves a matcha place and they prefer to run the strawberry machine! My daughter ended up getting the matcha Milk Tea and it barely had any matcha. We were disappointed. read more

This is a small hut on the corner of the street across from the Overland leather store. I ordered the Taro Iced Matcha. It was very good and a generous amount. Not too sweet or earthy tasting. I'm not sure if the man working spoke English as I was asking if the taro is like an ube flavor. I asked twice and he looked confused and didnt really say anything. Great ambiance and chairs to sit down at right in front. They take credit card. They get busy but my drink was made fast within 3 minutes of ordering. I will be back to try other drinks. read more

I went here for the strawberry matcha drink and the matcha Taiyaki ice cream. I wish the matcha flavor was stronger and more fragrant--since I prefer a bold matcha taste, it felt a bit mild for me. The ice cream was the better choice, though there are definitely better matcha spots elsewhere. That said, it's still nice to have a matcha option in Denver, where great matcha cafés aren't as common as in places like California or New York. read more
What's a better treat than a eye catching soft serve swirl ice cream with a cute and crispy fish cone on a scorching September day. Refreshing, creamy but not overly sweet. The fish cone has Nutella inside, which added chocolaty and nutty taste to the ice cream. Ichigo Matcha is at 16th Street and Larimer, right by the white Barclay Tower. read more

Tons of matcha and boba tea options with any type of milk you want. I tried the banana matcha today, no line around 2:30pm on a Wednesday so it was quick. Banana matcha was definitely on the sweeter side with a lot of syrup at the bottom so I didn't finish it but overall decent matcha experience and nice to be outside. read more

Ichigo Matcha has a cool vibe and a creative menu, so I was excited to try a few things during my visit. We ordered the matcha soft serve with taiyaki, the taro matcha latte, and the regular matcha soft serve in a cup. The service was pretty good, and the workers were friendly and helpful in recommending items. They suggested I try the taro matcha latte, mentioning it's a house favorite--which made me even more curious. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The taro at the bottom was delicious on its own, but once mixed, the flavor got lost. The overall drink tasted more like milk with just a faint hint of matcha and taro. I think a stronger matcha base and perhaps a taro cold foam on top would really help boost the flavor throughout. The matcha soft serve was probably the best thing we tried--good flavor, though a bit icy, which made it melt quickly. Still tasty, just could be creamier for that perfect soft serve texture. The taiyaki was a little hard in my opinion. A softer, freshly made taiyaki would make the pairing with the soft serve even better. Overall, I appreciate the warm service and concept. With a few tweaks to texture and flavor balance, this could become a go-to spot for matcha lovers. read more
