This location of Bardo's is repurposed house and little on the darker/older/funky side. Plenty of seating inside and out, lots of drink choices, a good place to meet friends or bring your laptop and work. Street parking only and on busy Broadway so you might have to get creative. Coffee is from Kaladi Coffee Roasters and it is goooood.
Came here in the afternoon to do a little work and it was a great vibe! They have seating in the front by the counter, and another room in the back, as well as a patio outside (if you can call it that, it's got a roof and they put in some turf, but it's not very aesthetic and is an ideal for working if you need plugs. It was packed, every table, but one was full, and we were lucky enough to snag that. Even with a full house, the place was very quiet, people respected the "wfh coffee shop" culture, and did not seem to be talking loudly or taking meetings. The drinks were great, not too fancy, but my Matcha was yummy. We also tried a gluten-free zucchini bread and a lemon pound cake which really hit the spot. Prices are pretty fair, and I had no issue finding street parking even on Broadway, although I had a busier time of day, I can imagine it might be more difficult. I love that this place was open later and I would definitely come back I know people have different remarks about the Wi-Fi, the staff gave us extra Wi-Fi codes in case we ran out, yes, there is a timer and you have to make a purchase, but they are very chill about it and will give you a new code if you run out

I utilized this business eons ago. Why didn't I come back to it for such a long time is a question I had asked myself. While this Mile High City was busy growing, I kind of lost in time looking the other way. But when I finally came back here, I realized that Bardo hasn't changed a bit: it still was the Bardo I used to know. In a way, I'm glad. The background music (soft jazz) was so soothing to my (and others') soul (souls.) It certainly created the kind of ambience that many prefer in a good coffee shop. My drink, Viennese (breve with whip and nutmeg) was made iced upon request. Unless you ask for modifications it's unsweetened. I liked it as is. The lady who took my order and the guy who handed me my drink were both kind and courteous. This must be part of what they may be proud of; no wonder many have left great reviews. It was a nice occasion to pay tribute to this almost forgotten legend in Denver. As there are other more modern-themed places continuing to emerge in this city, I shall not forget to appreciate a business like Bardo. Thanks for being around for us.
The grinch had pistachio matcha flavor but I did not taste any matcha at all. It only tasted like pistachio and oat milk. The bardo (dark chocolate vanilla) tasted yummy however the latte art could have been better. Wifi is a 2 hour limit and you must have a purchase in order to get the WiFi paper password from the front. After your 2 hr limit is complete, you'll need to do another purchase to get another WiFi code from the front counter which I thought was kind of lame. Lots of seating indoors and plugs for your electronics. Very dark and moody vibe. Parking is street parking only as well so good luck on a busy day. Personally, with street parking, limited WiFi, okay drinks, and dim setting, I give this place a 3.
Friendly local quiet peaceful coffee shop! Right off of the two way bike lanes on Broadway. We drove our bikes here. It's a great place to chill while out biking. A unique vibe!
This is a great place for snack type food or cold sandwichs. What stands out here is, SERVICE!!! Prompt, efficent and most of all VERY PLEASANT!! WiFi is allocated in 2 hours, not sure if they allocate more, I'm an author, not enough time, BUT, My Aspen and I had the most DELICIOUS Lemon Poppy Seed Scone. Light in texture and perfect amount of Lemon and sweet not overly done. Very nice. MY LOVE was the CHAI!! Perfectly seasoned and not too sweet! WONDERFUL Location is great for Wheat Ridge and plenty of parking front and back. The eager HELLO as I walked in and inquired some questions became a perfect repartee! Plenty of customers working diligently on their computers, table and chairs or counters, with retro couches and tables. Great choices. Obviously my delightful Service dog enjoy the Lemon Poppy seed scone as well, we share most everything!!

But during my most recent visit, I learned something surprising: you must purchase a drink in order to receive a Wi-Fi code -- a policy that is not posted anywhere in the shop or clearly mentioned on their punch cards. In fact, the cards read "FREE WIFI" prominently, and the only fine print mentions how to earn punches for drinks, with no mention that a purchase is required for internet access. When I calmly brought this up to the manager -- without anger or attitude -- her demeanor changed immediately. She became noticeably defensive, which strongly suggested to me that this isn't the first time this concern has been raised, and she knows the signage (or lack thereof) is misleading. That kind of response from management says a lot. It's not the Wi-Fi policy itself that's the issue -- it's the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to own or correct it when politely addressed. If you're going to require a purchase for Wi-Fi, that's fine -- just say so clearly on your materials or in the shop. Customers deserve that honesty and clarity. I hope Bardo will choose to address this in a straightforward way, because until then, it comes across as false advertising -- and that erodes trust.

Really cool cafe with good pastries and different varieties of tea and coffee with lots of seating indoors and outdoors with small front and back patios. My friend and I shared coconut lemon and banana breads and I got a mocha drink. Both breads were tasty but I liked the coconut lemon slightly more, it had a good lemon flavor with real coconut bits. The mocha was sweet but not too sweet. People there aren't loud so we were able to converse easily without raising our voices. It's been 6 months since my previous visit!! I noticed they had a line out the door Saturday morning. I received an email for $2 off and it was about to expire. I got one of my favorite latte's, the Dente. It's made with orange, chocolate and cinnamon. A rich coffee drink. I added their house-made bacon breakfast burrito. It was well loaded with bacon, egg and potatoes. They provided a red salsa. The dining room was clean with soft music being played. I noticed all of the hot drinks increased by $ 0.20 (3% increase) since my last photo of Nov 2025. read more

I stopped in here Friday for coffee and breakfast, and it was great! At 8:15, it was fairly quiet, only a few other people were inside and outside. The person behind the counter was great, very friendly when taking my order. I had an iced blondie latte (espresso, steamed milk, caramel and white chocolate). It was a bit in the sweet side, but a delicious treat. I also ordered a bacon burrito, which comes with salsa - it was delicious - highly recommend! WiFi is free - they give you a code if you want it when you order, and it's good for 120 minutes. I will absolutely be back! read more

Thank to the lovely barista who served me today. My car broke down and I was looking for a spot to sit and get something to eat before getting a Lyft home. I love how many independent businesses are on this street- makes it feel like a "real city." Anyway, I tried the carrot walnut bread and it was incredible- delicious and delectable! I love having unique new foods to try. My large oatmilk decaf latte was refreshing. I will definitely be telling all my friends about this place. And I want to come back and play board games. I'm especially intrigued by "2 player Shut the Box" - just what is it?? read more

Sunday stroll ended with coffee and tea from the Bardo house! I got the matcha latte and husband got the espresso mocha - matcha was good however, the espresso mocha was realllyyyy something!!! I drank my drink and then half of husbands espresso mocha, so tasty! We got an outdoor table because ofcourse we had a furry animal with us that smells and licks people all the time! They gave us a pup cup and we could grab dog treats from the huge jar at the counter. Also, when I went inside to the place our order, I did see that they had tables placed with very little distance Between them, this did not make me feel comfortable considering the ongoing pandemic. I will come back to try their vast coffee options and I definitely enjoyed our warm drinks on a windy Denver Sunday! This place has my recommendation. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! Great place to catch up with friends over some java or get some work done. A lot of indoor seating (booths, tables, couches) and some outdoor seating. I got a cold brew and it was delicious !! read more

Great spot for coffee! We stopped by Bardo on our way out of Denver to Breckenridge, and I think it is safe to say whenever we are back in CO this will be our go-to coffee shop. My boyfriend ordered the zebra, which is a regular & white chocolate mocha, and I ordered a framboise, their raspberry mocha. Wow it was delicious - chocolate-y, fruity, and perfect for the rest of our road trip that day. If you're in Denver, I recommend putting Bardo on your list to try! read more

So very hip. Great barristas. Loved the drip coffee. Wish I had tried the large selection of pastries. Plenty of booths, tables and couches. Parking is not easy but try the side streets. read more
Walking into this coffee shop Sunday morning, you are immediately greeted by the scent of freshly brewed coffee and a kind barista behind the bar. I ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk. Scrumptious! Loved the art on the walls and the large selection of drinks. Great vibes and nice staff. read more
