It's odd that I'm nearing 100 documented check-ins and have not submitted my take on Nixon's. It would also be odd if I visited this place 100 times and gave it anything less than 5 stars. The inside is what you look for in an upscale coffee shop, clean, great lines, artwork, and quality coffee. I always order the nitro cold brew here and it never disappoints. It will definitely charge me up for the day or evening. Their cold brews are crafted using Kaladi Full City coffee and it has a bolder, yet similar smoothness to say a Starbucks Cold Brew. They also have a wide variety of kombuchas on tap as well! I've heard some good things about their Venetian Crème Cold Brew if you like a sweet flavor with your charge. The interior includes high ceilings and garage doors that open to allow for a breezy experience when the weather is right. The music is usually good and is constantly changing, which leads me to believe that the baristas may play their own mix sometimes. I almost exclusively drink cold brew but I have had their coffee too and it is awesome. I also order their almond poppyseed bread (APB) quite often; however, today they were out so I tried the pumpkin spice bread instead. It was good but not mind blowing like the aforementioned APB! I'm the only one that calls it that so don't try to order the APB! :D Feel free to spread the word via an APB though. :) With so many options in my neighborhood that are within walking distance I choose Nixon's quite often and enjoy supporting this quality independent shop. read more

Loved this coffee shop !! They know what they are doing .... I got a mocha and it was sooo good ... the quality of it is just so exquisite... I enjoyed their location , kinda hard to find parking but it's ok ... very worth the extra steps haha ... The guys helping were super great ... easy to talk to and very helpful with suggestions ... Fun fact--this coffeehouse has the largest selection of kombucha in Colorado! My husband is a coffee aficionado and loves the coffee here. I'm more of a tea lady myself, and they have a decent selection of flavorful teas here. The staff is always friendly, the vibe is nice and open, and it's a nice place to spend some time on your laptop while getting work done, sipping something hot and delicious! read more

After braving the crowds at the South Pearl St Farmers Mkt this Sunday, I stopped for a cold beverage and a snack. I learned they are a local (only 3 locations) coffee house. The other two are near Broadway and Hampden & much farther south in Littleton. They offer hot & cold beverages plus breakfast and lunch. I saw a cooler of Kaladi Coffee Roasters. Lots of room inside for dining and co-working. I got a seasonal special of Coconut Raspberry Lemonade and a warmed up blueberry muffin. The coffee here is really good you can tell why it's a popular spot. It's quiet and has a nice setup for sitting and relaxing. But the staff gave me a bit of a look when I was taking a short video of the coffee machine (I was just filming the process, not even faces). We happened upon Nixon's one day just wandering around Washington Park while on vacation. I was looking for coffee and Nixon's serendipitously showed up! Of course, I had to give it a try. We had a regular dark roast and an Americano, and both were bold and robust in flavor, and hot (surprising how rare it can be to get actual hot coffee sometimes). The prices were good and the staff was super friendly. It was very busy in the chic and comfortable cafe, but we found a table and sat for a few. It was a really clean and nice place to chill out for a bit. I went back for one more coffee before our trip was over and I'll be back on our next trip too. read more

I was super excited to try Nixon Coffee House as I frequently drive by it on my morning route to my work out classes. My mom was in town and we drove by it and decided to stop in for coffee and a pastry. We walked in and greeted by the cashier. It smelled delicious inside so I decided to comment on it. I said "it smells so nice in here!!!" The blonde girl who was making coffee said "DOES IT REALLY?" In the most sarcastic voice like she had never heard the comment before. She then immediately turned to her friend behind the counter and started giggling, as if proud of the comment she just made. I was so taken back. I always go out of my way to compliment people - sorry you had heard that compliment one too many times. I love this place. Cozy interior and there's always seating to work at, despite them constantly being busy. My favorite drink is the Vienna: iced coffee with heavy cream. I can't drink much caffeine these days and have had to stop. But if you want a pick-me-up, that's the drink! read more

Parking was a bit tough nearby due to some construction but it is in a great spot right off i25! I wish I got a mug with my coffee because that's one of my favorite things about sitting in a coffee shop. But the coffee itself was delicious! Lots of seating and great atmosphere to focus. read more

Great place to grab a cup of coffee and work at (probably not the best for conference calls). You are limited to 90 minutes of wifi, but luckily it's super easy to reconnect so you can work for longer than 90 minutes. Coffee here is pretty cheap compared to other cafes in the vicinity. It tasted good though. coffee is overpriced too but that's normal for denver. coffee: my iced dirty chai couldn't stay mixed (see picture- espresso grounds / chai mix at the bottom). i'm not a coffee connoisseur but the americano was very intense and bitter in comparison to others i've had. service: while our barista was really kind, it took 5 minutes for someone to come take our order (there was no one in line, and the shop didn't seem busy because everyone was sitting down doing work). Stopped in after an amazing breakfast (at Hoja) and ordered a Chai Tea latte with whole milk. Total disclosure - I rarely stop in (anywhere) for coffee / tea but really digged the vibe of Nixon's. Next time I'll try one of their kombuchas - such a cool set up, bar style. And, maybe next time, I'll stay a while. They have a cozy set up, pandemic style. But, not too long, as there's a two hour max to allow other customers to soak up some Nixon vibes also, lol. read more

I was visiting my daughter and walked to this cute little place. The Americano was excellent and so was the friendly staff. I went here around 2pm to study for a few hours, and wow what a great choice! This place is perfect for studies, which you'll probably pick up on given that most every table had someone working away on a laptop or reading. The background music was not too loud or distracting, and the other people there weren't too distracting either, given they were pretty much all studying. I didn't try any pastries (though they looked really good) but I did get the Italian cream soda with lots of whipped cream and that was amazing! All in all, great place to study or relax. Came here after I saw someone mentioned it was right off the light rail. It really is right across the street from the Louisiana-Pearl station. Love the decor - it really makes the place feel modern and lively. There is plenty of seating, although a lot of it is shared without enough outlets. What matters to me is that I was able to get a lot of work done in the span of three hours spent here. Don't forget to ask for the WiFi password! Ask for their seasonal coffee, too. Today's was the Honey & Lavender Latte, and it was all kinds of yum. I also got their Sammie, an English muffin with your choice of protein and cheese inside. The way their hot food works is similar to Starbucks - you choose from a pre-packaged sandwich (they also have paninis and croissant sandwiches) up front and they grill it for you. I was most impressed with their kombucha options. They have 17 different flavors on tap for you to choose from. Took me a bit to decide, but they give you samples to try if you're on the fence. I got the Lavender Grape and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back for another kombucha. read more

Love this local coffee shop! Great location, although parking can be tough, but close to the RTD station. Went here just to do some work and had a lot of available tables, extremely clean, and super friendly staff. I just got a regular black coffee (yes, super boring I know), but looks like there are a lot of other options here on the menu. If you're a fan, they even have Kombucha on tap!! There are two things I look for in a coffee shop: 1. Good coffee at reasonable prices 2. A good space to work Nixon's checks both boxes easily. My nitro cold brew tasted great and was on the reasonable side of coffee these days (~$3.60). The space is also great to work or hangout with plenty of seating, huge garage doors that are opened with warm weather to let the breeze in, and low enough noise level to have an easy conversation. The staff here is exceptional. So friendly and unique. Caring and curious. I love coming here. Only flaws are the cost and I wish they would revert back to pre-COVID hours. 4 pm is too early for such a gem of a place! But I get it. It's quiet enough but not too quiet that you don't feel comfortable having a deep conversation with a friend but can also study alone without headphones. Nixon's is an awesome little coffee shop. It has a super great atmosphere for working. A friend and I sat at Nixon's for 4 hours working on budget stuff. We were comfortable and focused. It is very well lit, and has large windows to allow for great natural lighting. The drink menu is large and they also have a full kombucha bar! I got loose leaf tea. It came with a pot of hot water, the loose leaf tea, and a mug. You seen the tea to make it as strong as you want, pour yourself a mug full, and enjoy. You can refill your pot with hot water to steep more tea as many times as you need to. The bathroom situation is a little odd, but it's fine. I would definitely return to Nixon's if I was ever back in Denver. read more

Nixon.. yes, you got both of them right. great location, right off the highway, close to the Old Peal Street and nicely situated. got the favorite drinks, lots of freshly roasted Kaladi Brothers coffee to take home and also pastry case filled with yumminess. all of the hot drinks will be poured into the nice mug if you are sipping in house while listening to mellow music to whine down or cram your brain for new ideas. This coffee shop is just the place to get your work done, reading done or anything you need done for the day. Even if it is to get out of the house to clear your head, there is light music playing in the background, but you can have headphones to tune it out. There is always wifi available. It can be crowded at times or not depending on the day and time. They have delicious pastries, sandwiches, salads, and oatmeal as well. There is also coffee, tea, and different kombucha flavors if that is your thing. Some people have been coming here to move on from their depressive state of mind after the coronavirus. This cafe has survived the pandemic and a lot of humans have gotten through hard times within the past difficult few years. Thanks to this wonderful place. Tasty little coffee bar with LOTS of great seating and outlets. It's really the perfect place to work. The drinks are made to order and fresh (I would opt for espresso drinks over the hot coffee), and while they do have food, the breakfast sandwiches were all pre made. Really enjoyed the aesthetics of this place from what I could see for the few minutes I was there to do a coffee pick up. Their selections are pretty good and they have a HUGE list of teas. I got a blended vanilla latte to play it safe, but I would love to try their other beverages next time. This is my new favorite coffee shop. 1. Lots of options for non-coffee drinkers. 2. TONS of kombucha on tap!!! And you can get a flight of 4. The only other place I know of that does kombucha flights from the tap (minus kombucha taprooms) is American Cultures downtown. Very cool to have somewhere in south Denver that does this. 3. Awesome garage door so you can enjoy the Colorado weather. 4. Fantastic coffee. I had a plain vanilla latte but they also had some cool seasonal specialties that sounded good like a honey lavender latte. Always nice to have unique options. 5. Tons of seating. 6. Just a short walk from the Sunday South Pearl Farmers Market! I think a lot of farmer market attendees stop off at Stella's. Do yourself a favor and walk the extra 5 minutes to Nixon's. Way less crowded. The only slight negative comment I have is that the baristas weren't the friendliest. They weren't rude by any means but just didn't go out of their way for any customer service.
