Cute little local coffee shop! We love the matcha and pasties here. Recommend it to anyone looking for a good date or study place.

You know the coffee will be good when the menu is made up of tiles that look like Scrabble tiles. So naturally I ordered the drink that I use to assess any new coffee shop - a flat white with a shot of vanilla. The drink was super smooth and delicious. I'm just sad that I had to get it to go instead of hanging out and enjoying the space.

The Blue Card - loyalty program, 8 feather stamps gets you a free coffee. $6 latte with almond milk means a 12% discount.

I would say it was love at first sip - I have liked Blue Sparrow Coffee since the first time I tried their coffee years ago. Things I love about Blue Sparrow: 1) The coffee is delicious. The latte that I usually order here is smooth as silk and the almond milk is creamy and doesn't taste like it came from a cardboard box. The latte is $6.05 for 12oz, with all the add ons including a $0.10 single use cup fee, if you choose that option. 2) The space is intimate and the design is high end. The space reminds me of a Tiffany box; there are sophisticated hues of blue, the bling comes from metals of the lighting fixtures, and the geometric floor tiles provide additional visual interest. 3) Location, location, location! Platte street is a great place to explore and Confluence Park is a perfect place to take your single use cup and stroll. Great people watching in the park. 4) You can bring your [well behaved] dog! Note: This Blue Sparrow opens up to the lobby of an office building which has additional seating, including comfy couches. Note: street parking is paid all the time so make sure you take care of that. Everyone complains about parking but I've always found a spot within a five minute walk. Note 2: it can get busy here, however I find that coming in on the weekends before 8:30 gives me the peace I want at the beginning of my day. Note 3: service is good and the team does their best to get your coffee to you as soon as possible. There is only one machine and when it gets busy you will wait. Take a seat and relax while your coffee is being "crafted."

Decent cold brew but not the best or worst I've had. Hard to create the vibes when in the middle of a working space but nothing super special. Service was good and danish was good

A cute cafe in a fun area! Delicious drinks and even more delicious pastries! I got a Golden Milk Latte, my friends got a chai and a cold brew. All rocked! Friendly and helpful service

Such an awesome vibe! It's the perfect place to work or do schoolwork. Lots of seating and charging stations (even on top of the tables!). The coffee is great and they have several options! We went with the chai and the nitro cold brew. They are both super good! They have some milk alternatives as well.

This place is so cute & small but packs a punch. The pastry display case is packed full of delicious rotating treats - we got a lemon poppyseed bread and ham & cheese croissant. The lemon loaf was super bright and tangy and the tiny poppy seeds gave it such a satisfying touch. I loved the croissant as well it was soft and the cheese was flavorful and delicious. I got a Japanese iced coffee that was amazing - it's a Japanese style cold brew from my understanding. Cute spot with quick service - perfect for a coffee or pastry on the way to work.

Very nice coffee shop in Denver. We were greeted when we walked in. Good assortment of pastries and indoor and outdoor seating. Relaxing vibe and unique decor. Great coffee!

Cute cafe inside an office. Cute place to study, work, and catch up w friends. The barista was a one-man worker, so he deserves the recognition for making a good latte while serving his customers! The iced vanilla latte was great a solid 4/5 and the pain au chocolat was yummy, even without warming it up! Check this place out!

The picture says it all, my favorite on-the-go coffee spot for a latte that gets me going even on my slowest mornings

Walking into this coffee shop is any remote worker's, book lover's, or people watcher's dream. Blue sparrow coffee has a modern and fun atmosphere with light music and plenty of work space. When it comes to coffee, I'm more of a plain Jane, but their ice latte truly gets me out of bed in the morning. If you get there early enough, you'll have your pick of a selection of fresh pastries, starting your day off with a little treat. My favorite part? Bring in your furry friend. They have a selection of dog toys!

The hubby and I hit up this location of BSC a few different times on our trip to visit our family and friends in CO. We used to visit the Blake St location when we lived there, but the Platte location was close to our rental and provided easier parking. It's a gorgeous shop with good vibes, beautiful colors, textures and tile, delicious pastries and an even better selection of coffees and teas. During our multiple visits, we ordered a double espresso, a cortado with almond milk, an iced vanilla latte with almond milk, a cup of drip coffee and a matcha latte. All the drinks we received were well made and smooth. Thank you for also providing multiple plant based milk options like almond along with oat and soy. The whole movement to oat milk has annoyed me since it's higher in carbs and makes the drinks way too milky tasting for my liking. Keep doing what you're doing BSC.

There were plenty of other seating options too, including lounge chairs and bar seating. They even have a billiards table! I ordered an iced London fog and opted for coconut milk, which is not typically available as a milk alternative. It came with vanilla syrup by default and was very good. I also tried the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. This was the only disappointing part of my visit. It seemed like a premade sandwich that had been reheated, so the bacon was soft rather than crispy, which is my preference. Overall, Vibe Coffee & Wine is worth a quick stop, but it is especially nice as a place to relax, hang out, or settle in and do a little work.

For decades now, this tiny, unassuming storefront has stood as the quiet matriarch of third-wave coffee in Colorado--an institution of undeniable importance that has anchored the local scene while flashier, more corporate trends have come and gone. Long before everyone on the block knew what a tasting note was or argued about the specific origin of their morning cup, Little Owl was there, acting as a gatekeeper of craft, precision, and dedication. It is the kind of place that does not need to shout to be heard; its reputation is built entirely on the flawless execution of every single beverage that crosses the counter. For me, this shop carries a deep, nostalgic gravity. It was the very first specialty coffee shop I ever walked into back when I was a deeply serious, hyper-particular hipster who only drank manual pour-overs and viewed the entire world through a lens of strict coffee purism. In those days, I treated coffee like a science experiment and a religion all at once, refusing anything that didn't meet a rigid standard of extraction. While I like to think I have relaxed a little bit as I have aged--learning to appreciate the simpler joys of life and a good, solid morning routine without the accompanying pretension--walking into Little Owl instantly brings back that initial spark of discovery. It reminds me of why I fell in love with the craft in the first place, back when a perfectly dialed-in cup could alter your entire perspective on what coffee could be. What makes Little Owl stand so far above the rest, even after all these years, is its absolute refusal to compromise on the fundamentals. The aesthetic of the space mirrors the coffee itself--it is crisp, minimalist, and entirely focused on the liquid in the cup. There are no gimmicks here, no massive menu boards filled with sugary distractions, and no frantic, chaotic energy. Instead, there is a serene, intentional atmosphere that commands respect the moment you cross the threshold. The team works with a focused, quiet mastery that feels less like standard cafe service and more like a carefully orchestrated ritual. They treat the bean with a level of respect that you rarely find anymore, balancing technical perfection with a genuine warmth that makes the space feel like a true community sanctuary. As the years have rolled on and Denver's downtown has shifted and grown around it, Little Owl has remained a steadfast beacon of quality. It has survived the turbulent tides of the modern coffee boom because it understands that true luxury lies in simplicity and consistency. Even as my own habits have mellowed and my rigid purism has softened into a more relaxed appreciation, my standards for a truly exceptional cup have never wavered. Little Owl meets and exceeds those standards every single time. It remains a legendary pillar of the Denver landscape, a place where the history of the third-wave movement is preserved in every extraction, and where a weary traveler or a lifelong purist can always find a perfect cup of coffee.

Did someone say ceremonial Matcha? Hell to the yea!…read more I had bookmarked this place for our stay in Denver on our trek from California. We always like to scope out the best coffee spots ahead of time. Little Owl did not disappoint! First, it's always difficult to find ceremonial grade Matcha wherever you go. Most of the time it's Matcha mixed with a bunch of other stuff and at best it's culinary grade. The Matcha here was vibrant in color, smooth and slightly nutty. I elected to sweeten it with simple syrup and had it Americano. My husband opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk and while we've stopped at several places so far, this is the best latte we've had on our roadtrip. They make all of their syrups in house and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. The cafe is small and quaint. It does open up into a larger building with additional seating. Customer service was on point, and we even joked about the different types of Matcha and how some places use a ton of fillers and sugar.

    ## An Absolute Gem in Downtown Denver: Novo Coffee Sets the Gold Standard…read more**Location:** 1600 Glenarm Place, Denver, CO Novo Coffee isn't just another quick stop for caffeine; it is a masterclass in what a local coffee shop should be. Nestled right in the bustling heart of downtown Denver, this cafe offers the perfect urban retreat for both locals and travelers. The space effortlessly hits that sweet spot between industrial chic and genuinely welcoming. With its soaring ceilings, exposed architectural details, and massive windows that flood the room with natural light, the atmosphere is incredibly energizing. While the seating can fill up fast during the morning rush, the wait is more than worth it. As a steadfast pioneer in Colorado's vibrant coffee culture since 2002, Novo's deep dedication to relationship-based sourcing and precise daily roasting is immediately apparent the moment you walk through the doors. You can immediately sense that their beans are treated with an almost reverent respect before they ever make it into a cup. It is the kind of place that appeals equally to the busy commuter grabbing a perfectly balanced, house-made oat milk cappuccino and the serious aficionado chasing nuanced, single-origin flavor profiles. But what truly elevates this Glenarm location far above every other shop in the city is the exceptional team behind the bar--specifically, a barista named Danny. In a fast-paced industry where efficiency can sometimes overshadow true hospitality, Danny is an absolute revelation. He brings a remarkably kind spirit and a deeply attuned coffee knowledge to every single customer interaction. Danny doesn't just mechanically take your order; he genuinely engages with you, intuitively understanding exactly what you are looking for. His passion for the craft is palpable and infectious, making the entire cafe experience feel personalized, warm, and wonderfully human. It is incredibly rare to find someone who offers such thoughtful recommendations and brightens your morning with such effortless sincerity. And then, of course, there is the coffee itself. If you want to experience the true peak of their offerings, order a manual brew. Under Danny's expert guidance, the pour-over is, quite simply, on point. Watching him work is like watching a skilled artisan in his element. The exact precision of the bloom, the slow, steady spiral of the kettle's pour, and his careful attention to extraction time all translate directly to the final product. The result in the cup is absolutely flawless. Every subtle tasting note--whether it is a bright, floral acidity or a rich, grounding chocolate finish--is perfectly extracted and showcased exactly as the roaster intended. It is a clean, dynamic, and profoundly satisfying cup of coffee. To round out the visit, pair that impeccable pour-over with one of their generously portioned breakfast burritos or a warm, flaky almond croissant. The meticulous care applied to their high-quality ingredients across the board proves that Novo absolutely refuses to cut corners. If you are anywhere near downtown Denver, do yourself a favor and visit 1600 Glenarm Place. Seek out Danny, trust his expertise on a pour-over, and take a moment to enjoy the best coffee experience the city has to offer. Five stars simply are not enough!
