Middle Stare is right next to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver, so lucky me! The hubby and I swung by on a Sunday morning after they opened, only to find that there was one person working who was slammed with drink, food, and to go orders. She was busting her butt and very graceful about it all. The hubby ordered a drip while I ordered a triple americano. It was very smooth and perfectly balanced. We also grabbed a bag of beans to take home, which we opened today and they were just as good. The shop is bright, has lots of natural light, liveliness from the plans, and a clean setting.

the matcha latte was ok. i wish it had a stronger matcha flavour but overall the shop is very cute, small and in sick location with lots to do around. walkable and beautiful neighborhood.

So I am trying to go more local since certain name brand coffee chains are ridiculously priced and I try to support local when I can. I happened to stop by while visiting rosales Bakery and needed my daily caffeine fix so decided to give them ago. Just got a drip coffee with half and half and the coffee did it's job waking me up. I think it's also cool they sell bottles of wine (I mean coffee and chardonnay...is that not the best pairing? ) so on an afternoon you could split a bottle. I want to explore this area of Denver a bit more and I would come back here. Stop on in when on 32nd.

OK this place needs to get noticed more!!! How is such a chic coffee shop nestled in a chic neighborhood only having 2 Yelp reviews under its belt? Well, maybe I need to bring more friends here to have excellent crafted coffee! It was an accident that we discovered Middle State Coffee. The one closest to our lunch spot that day was closing early for the upcoming Labor Day holiday, so we went a little out of the way, dealt with street parking, to get here. The not-so-big coffee shop was already 2/3 filled with customers sipping their drinks and working on their laptops. We did still find a place to sit inside but also noticed cute patio furniture right outside. The menu both surprised and delighted us, we saw things like Dalgona coffee and Espresso soda which are rare finds! I couldn't decide between Dalgona and an Affogato but the girly barista carefully explained each drink to me and ultimately, I decided on the Affogato since I wanted "real" coffee and not "instant." (To the Dalgona's defense, my friend who ordered it said it was delicious!). Affogatos are those things that you almost can't get wrong, right? I mean, how can you mess up coffee with ice cream? As in, how would anyone complain about an Apple Pie A La Mode being not good? HOWEVER, I've never had an affogato THIS GOOD. I know the scoop of ice cream is vanilla bean, not sure if homemade or store brought, but it was the quality of the espresso, and the way it was carefully handcrafted, that swept me off the floor! I've been having dreams about it ever since leaving Middle State Coffee! A guy friend ordered the Espresso soda and was very pleased with it. He said recently he had a bad drink of the same kind at another coffee house and was a little worried about ordering it here. I wouldn't order the waffles again here unless you have a kid you're trying to calm down (in our case, that was it!) because waffles aren't their specialty, I can have better elsewhere. But the coffee, and the barista who is so good at her craft, are hard to beat!

Even though it's 18 degrees in Denver today, I was craving iced coffee. I loved the Espresso Tonic I got from @middlestatecoffee The staff are always very friendly, and the service is fast! The ambiance is great to work or catch up with friends.

Very cute coffee shop with eclectic flavors you won't see anywhere else! It's clean and although the space is small, they make the best of it. It is tiny, though, so if you're planning on working from home you may want to consider elsewhere as it'll start to feel claustrophobic if they get busy. To go in and grab a cup of joe, it's awesome.

Excellent latte and kind staff! The inside has about 4 tables and they also have a small outdoor area with a few tables out front. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area!

The three cozy pods were already occupied, but I was able to grab a seat at one of the two communal work tables, which gave me easy access to an outlet to charge my phone. They also offer free wifi. There were plenty of other seating options too, including lounge chairs and bar seating. They even have a billiards table! I ordered an iced London fog and opted for coconut milk, which is not typically available as a milk alternative. It came with vanilla syrup by default and was very good. I also tried the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. This was the only disappointing part of my visit. It seemed like a premade sandwich that had been reheated, so the bacon was soft rather than crispy, which is my preference. Overall, Vibe Coffee & Wine is worth a quick stop, but it is especially nice as a place to relax, hang out, or settle in and do a little work.

There are towering ceilings and comfortable chairs. There are enough electrical outlets to power a small army of laptop philosophers who are pretending to write important books. It looks like a place where profound human connections ought to happen. Mine did not. The baristas handled my order as though enthusiasm had recently been made a felony by the federal government. They were not malicious. They simply performed the transactional ritual of caffeinating a stranger with the exact emotional investment of a parking meter. The beverage itself was perfectly adequate. Bad coffee inspires anger. This coffee merely inspired a quiet acceptance of my own mortality. It was average in that completely forgettable way that makes you wonder why you parted with currency for a specialty drink in the first place. If you need a nice chair to sit in while the world falls apart, you will find it here. If you are looking for a memorable cup or a warm human interaction, you will probably leave remembering the furniture.

We always like to scope out the best coffee spots ahead of time. Little Owl did not disappoint! First, it's always difficult to find ceremonial grade Matcha wherever you go. Most of the time it's Matcha mixed with a bunch of other stuff and at best it's culinary grade. The Matcha here was vibrant in color, smooth and slightly nutty. I elected to sweeten it with simple syrup and had it Americano. My husband opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk and while we've stopped at several places so far, this is the best latte we've had on our roadtrip. They make all of their syrups in house and the coffee was smooth and not bitter. The cafe is small and quaint. It does open up into a larger building with additional seating. Customer service was on point, and we even joked about the different types of Matcha and how some places use a ton of fillers and sugar.
