Such a quality spot. Street parking, or there is usually a visitor parking spot just inside this Novel Uptown apartment building (just to the left of the store). High quality baked goods and warm interior design greet you as you enter. Usually 1-2 staff members are behind the counter. I love how it's just a large open area that seamlessly shares space with the apartment leasing lobby with lots of comfy areas to sit including a bar counter - my favorite type of seating choice! It's a nice neighborhood stop for me while out and about as a place where I know that whatever I order will be delicious and high-quality. They had a chocolate cinnamon soft cookie over Christmas which was sooo tasty - chewy with some walnuts in there too. Corvus is a local coffee roaster that has its own standalone stores and also supplies other coffee stores with its beans. Patrons are friendly here and I always end up in a friendly convo with other people - usually regulars waiting for coffee and or just hanging out. They do also offer coffee cocktails which, if I lived in the building, I'm sure you'd find me downstairs chillin' with a coffee cocktail at happy hour!

Coffee Cupping class I attended
Rika M.

Have you attended a "coffee cupping" class? Well, that's exactly what I did this AM (April 3, 2025) at the newest location of Corvus Coffee on Logan between 15th and 16th. Corvus Coffee has been my favorite place to get coffee for years. And when I found out about this event on some website, I, without hesitation, signed up for it which cost me only $8-$9 at the most. It was such a nice way to break the boring morning routine and do something I had never done before for a change. I even took the light rail to get to the class site so I would be able to do a brisk walk in the cold air to refresh myself. First of all, for those of you who are Coffee Cupping virgins, here is the definition of it: "Coffee cupping is a formal method used by coffee professionals to evaluate and assess the flavor and quality of coffee, involving a standardized process of tasting and scoring. It helps identify distinct characteristics, aromas, and potential defects, aiding in quality control and understanding coffee's unique qualities". To me, this was an elevated coffee tasting in a semi professional setting. Two Corvus workers with wealth of knowledge lead the class. Alex and TJ(?) eloquently spoke about the whole process of the most proper coffee cupping by first demonstrating what to do so we wouldn't be lost (10 people signed up for the class; only 4 of them (including me) showed up hence the class was an intimate one.) By the way, this newest (6th) location of Corvus is inside this apartment or condo plex building. It's extremely modern where the staging/decorating of it was something out of a trendy magazine. It's got that boutique hotel feel to it. Not only there are couches and tables, but a spacious bar seating is also available. Before the class started I had one of the ham and cheese croissants to fuel my body for the intense coffee cupping learning. The lady who assisted me for the pastry was above and beyond. Let's go back to the class. It was a full one hour session where nothing was rushed. Both gents' speeches were not only eloquent but they were also meticulous. They spent time with each participant by giving us hands on education to ensure that nobody was left behind. 10 different coffee beans (ground) were used so we could use our best senses to determine flavor and taste notes by sniffing and slurping etc. They also gave us handouts/decks to help us understand the depth of the cupping. We also took notes on it. Once the hour had passed Alex and TJ remained available for the next 15 minutes so they could answer any questions we might have. And at the end, as a token of their appreciation, they gave us attendees a card for a free coffee at any of the Corvus location for today or future. Wow, I felt like we participants owed them a huge thanks. Corvus is not just a coffee shop that only serves and sells coffee; they are SME (subject matter expert). They care and appreciate the people who reside in the community so they are compelled to educate them for what they are passionate about. So when you are at one of the locations next time inquire about some educational classes they offer periodically. And visit the newest location on Logan (it opened just last Saturday so it's brand spanking new!)

Very swanky coffee shop inside Novel hotel lobby. Some seating outside and fun spots including a fireplace inside. Simple menu, great coffee and tea and a couple pastries - only thought was that glass mugs would have been nice

Great coffee with a comfy vibe. Staff was super nice and it seems like a great place to study or get some laptop work done.

I love Corvis coffee and am so happy they have a location now open uptown. I went on opening day and the space is gorgeous. It's a good spot if you need a place to work meet friends or have a date. The coffee is incredible as well as the variety of pastries. This will definitely be my new local cup of brew. Looks like they will be holding various events in the space as well. Definitely check it out!

Card description for the coffee.

Went in late April 2025 and the coffee was really good! Whenever I see that places have coffee flight I have to get them. The flight came with a little card breaking down each cup (see attachments for photos and descriptions). The shop was well decorated and fit the vibes. The lady also let me know the flights take a minute. The reason for the 4 star is because of the price. The flight alone was $32 for 3 small cups! For that price I could get 3 full size lattes from other coffee shops and make my own flight! You have to factor in prices for coffee when rating your experience and this was way too much.

$15 for a black coffee, very slow service, and they just left my $15 dollar coffee sitting on the bar without saying anything! Crazy

I knew of this place, but had never been until the new year began after it was recommended to me by another Yelp Elite (shout out Caroline!). From the outside looking in, you might not know this is a coffee shop. Very minimal signage from 38th. However when you walk in, you are greeted with smiles and a warm welcome almost instantaneously. They brand themselves as an Indonesian specialty coffee shop. I think it's cool that they've have a special Lunar New Year menu. And their pastry game is top notch, sourcing from heavy hitters like GetRight's and Banh & Butter. But for me, I can't help myself from ordering their espresso tonic. They pair the espresso with a coconut yuzu tonic, with a hint of vanilla, and a dried lemon wheel for garnish. It's sweeter than what I typically enjoy, however it's so damn delicious and refreshing! OBSESSED. It normally gets crowded in here, with plenty of people like me working remotely on their laptops. The owners are also extremely nice and have been behind the counter every time I've been. Coffeegraph has quickly risen to the core of my coffee shop rotation! I hope you give 'em a try!

There's plenty of comfy seating to lounge on, as well as a bartop for folks to sit on. This place operates as a cafe and light brunch place in the mornings, and a dim, moody vibe with a full bar in the evenings. All the workers here are really nice and approachable. When coming in, there are menus by the front door. When I went, it was around 11am on a Sunday, so it was pretty crowded. They have a food pop-up in the back patio that rotates between vendors, to my understanding. The back seating area is covered and has two space heaters nearby. They also have a great breakfast all day menu and some solid lunch options too. When I went they had an absolutely bomb Birria grilled cheese, but I unfortunately don't think it's a regular item. 3-star might justify based on everything I experienced at this coffee shop today…read more Its inconspicuous existence (especially the secondary door that is facing Larimer) is quite intriguing. Utilizing the existing brick walls, the interior layout is creative with all sorts of art. Their location is their luckiest part as it consistently draws steady footprints. It thus gets packed in a few seconds. It offers (firstly) coffee based drinks. It does have a kitchen where they make more than just pastries and the like. It's definitely more than a simple coffee shop for sure. Service, however, was quite basic. The lady upfront smiled but hesitantly. She wasn't rude but I simply didn't feel welcome. Hence describing their current customer service system or skills as "good" might fuel their egos (wow, did I really say that?? LOL!!) My quad latte was decent/good. I could have done less espresso shots as it sure was strong or too strong (this wasn't their fault; it was mine.) Yes, in conclusion, the shop can and should refine its service (upping it one more level might draw solid raves from the people). Well. I'm not that distraught by any means so in due time, I might utilize them in the future.
