This is a very cute coffee shop inside Union Station! They have an extensive menu, with lots of food goodies and merch available for purchase as well! The lines can get pretty long depending on the day, but they move pretty quickly! There is a long table to stand and chat by inside the coffee shop and plenty of seating in the main area of union station to sit! I usually go for the matcha latte and I love how it is not too sweet! Raspberry in coffee.... Ummm YES please! Visiting Denver and came across this coffee shop inside the Union station and what a great find. As we came in we were greeted right away friendly staff and patient while we made up our minds , very clean areas and didnt take a long time to order and get our drinks. Our stay at the hotel in Union Station included two free drip coffees at this location so we took advantage of the offer. We just got two small coffees and showed them our hotel key. Unfortunately, we found the basic drip coffee kind of bitter. Perhaps their other coffee drinks are better but we skipped getting coffee here on our second day. read more

I stopped by here before my train back to the airport. Pigtrain Coffee is located right in Union Station. You can expect long lines of people during rush hour. People are either coming into the city or about to leave so everyone is rushing. There is a large table that you can eat your food at but not much space otherwise. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a cold brew. Coffee was decent but the sandwich was not that good. It tasted like it was premade and just pushed out of a microwave. I guess everyone was rushing but the lack of quality showed. Everything here is already expensive due to the location so I expected better. I would come here again for a cup of coffee before boarding a train but otherwise there are much better options around the city. read more

There could be a coffee vending machine at Union for all I care, the fact there's a proper coffee shop is the whipped cream and cherry on top. If it's cold, I'll order an Americano or their dark roast. If it's hot, I'll order a cold brew. Yes, I'm a creature of habit when it comes to my coffee. And though not the most exciting of orders, I'm usually satisfied with the results. If it's late and I'm not in the mood for caffeine, they have a nice tea selection. Pre-COVID, lines could get pretty long depending on the time of day. I sneak over to Union every week or so now, and the baristas have found their stride in a COVID world. Hands down the best coffee in Downtown Denver. I've lived downtown for over a decade and have visited almost every, if not all, coffee shops in the area. Pigtrain is my absolute favorite. The biggest thing I look for is the overall taste of the coffee. Whether I get a cold brew or a latte, Pigtrain always has the best tasting drinks. The service is always inviting and while they tend to be very busy most of the time, my order is always prepared in a timely fashion. The only negative comment I can give is that the pastries are priced a little higher than others but the selection is good. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a quick coffee in Downtown Denver. read more

Given that I went in the afternoon, there was no line and the drink came out pretty quickly. I wanted a caramel coffee type drink (similar to a frappucino) and they totally delivered with their version of my favorite tasty treat. I ordered one and it came out quickly. My sister and I walked out to the nearby patio and sat outside as we sipped our drinks. It was a very pleasant experience and we had so much fun we didn't want to leave! Went here twice this weekend! It's a great location right in Union Station with entrances both inside the station and from their patio. The first time I got their seasonal maple rosemary latte, which was surprisingly tasty. It had a mild herb after taste with a lightly sweet flavor. Very mild overall. Second time I got the seasonal coconut cream cappuccino. It was a tad "syrup" coconut flavor but overall well made and enjoyable. The vanilla scone tasted fresh and homemade. The prices are a bit higher here, but, as explained on their website, it ensures their staff is paid a decent wage. I'm all for it. Covid related - the staff all wore masks and people stayed distanced. No indoor seating. The patio had well-spaced tables, though I wish they had their one heat lamp on and working. read more

Found this coffee place inside Union Station. Got a latte and a toasted buttered bagel. They have creamers on tap, including almond milk. What a genius idea! People are really nice here. I sat outside in the patio area and enjoyed my cup of Joe and bagel. Both were good (even though I have NYC coffee and Jewish deli bagel standards).
