Second time coming here. Tried a normal latte which was great the first time visiting. Nothing special but a solid cup of coffee. The second time trying pigtrain, got to try their seasonal pumpkin pie latte with oatmilk. Delicious, tasted more spiced and warmer then a normal pumkin spiced latte. There was no extra charge for the non dairy substitution which was nice. But it was fairly pricey costing almost $7 for the normal size, but still enjoyed it and would come again if I ever visit the area again. read more

Came here with my wife just to check out the "terminal" and we got Lured into this coffee shop by the smell of their coffee beans. We received great friendly service from the teller and barista. I am a coffee lover and usually just take my coffee black, but this time I decided to be bold and try a latte with coconut milk and caramel. Best decision ever. What I loved was that the coffee taste was still there and the flavor of the coconut milk mixed just perfectly, then a small hint of caramel came into play. Great work by the barista. read more

Overall a very nice coffee shop. The service was cozy and quick. I got the Carmel blendi which is very popular. It was very good, however on the sweeter side. The chai is also very good. Would recommend stopping by if you are in the area. read more

I can't speak to the quality of any of their fancy expensive drinks, nor to any of their pastries, though it certainly all looked good - I just had an espresso here, because walking by Milkbox, which at first I thought was a Milk Bar, made me think of how good the affrogatos at Milk Bar were, so then when I saw it was right next to a coffee shop, clearly I had to get an affrogato. It worked out, too, because Milkbox doesn't really have any place to sit, so I got a scoop of ice cream, came here, had a place to sit, got an espresso. I can certainly speak to the quality of the espresso: great, and totally reasonably priced (I'm used to paying $3 for espresso at any decent craft coffee shop, and theirs was $2.85). Tasty in an affrogato, and also by itself. Got it reasonably fast, too - about as fast as you'd expect. This is only a review of their espresso, which is a. Great, and b. 2.85 for a double. I was only here because as I was going to milkbox, it reminded me of the affrogatos at milkbar and made me think, I would like to pair that ice cream with an espresso. So I did - great, since milkbox didn't really have seating, so I would definitely recoomend going to milkbox, getting an icer cream, then getting an espresso and consuming them together. I will also say, one thing I love about Denver is that they're clearly a lot more relaxed about who is allowed to sell alcohol - we just don't have coffee shops with cocktails in California! They have some fun-looking coffee cocktails for $10, which I'm sad I didn't have a chance to try. Next time! (Especially took bad because they also have a 15% discount for checking in on yelp, but only once - I decided *not* to use that to save like 40 cents, in case I was ever back in Denver and the discount was still available.) read more

Stopped for a coffee and breakfast before catching the train to DEN airport. This place is cute and has a ton of merchandise for sale. The menu has a good variety of options in regards to food and drink. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sammie. We are nuts and took the Amtrak from Omaha to Lake Tahoe, BUT, during our 50 minute stop at Union Station in Denver, we took full advantage of some amazing coffee at Pigtrain. I did a honey lavender latte and my husband got some sort of banana creame brulee option...I am drawing a blank on the specifics. They were both outstanding and provided a much needed caffeine boost! read more

We've stopped here twice on our trip to downtown Denver. The breakfast burrito is a must have! It was piping hot the entire time I ate it - it comes with a green chile sauce that I didn't notice until after I had eaten the whole thing but it was still delicious! I also opted for the raspberry Italian soda as I'm not currently drinking caffeine. If you need a quick bite for breakfast or a good drink, definitely stop here. read more

This was one of the best parts of our stay at The Crawford Hotel. The staff are the sweetest which does not compute considering the Starbucks level crowds they have to deal with having to serve the coffee starved touristy train station & hotel guests each day. We had breakfast here 3 times on our 5 night stay. The free coffee with our Crawford Hotel stay was actually pretty sizable an amount & delicious! The baked goods were also good quality fuel for your day. Despite the long lines, the servers moved things along quickly & with genuine customer service. If Union Station loses this place, it will be a big hit to the amenities of the hotel/building. read more

Pigtrain Coffee had a fantastic chai tea latte! It was the perfect mix of sweet and spice which seems to be hard to find at most coffee shops. It's my go to drink, so I have definitely had a lot to compare to. What gives Pigtrain only 4 stars is the wait time. I know it was a farmers market Saturday morning, but they had at least 8 people behind the counter. I will for sure be back with how good their chai was and perhaps I'll see a quicker turn around for my chai! read more

In passing through the area, I'd stopped in to get a cappuccino a couple times. It was noticeable the quality of coffee, and the expertise that went into the foam. Delicious to the last drop. Today my partner and I decided to get a coffee on our day about town, and to our surprise, we found that they have cocktails on the menu. We usually get two different menu items and split to broaden our experience. The matcha slide cocktail was my first try. I was blown away. It is one of if not the best cocktail that I have had this year. I thought to myself, there is no way that the Irish coffee could even come close, but I was very soon proved wrong. The cold foam on the top of a delicious blend of hot coffee and whiskey are put together in such a perfect way. I knew that it would be a disservice to all reading Yelp reviews not to mention this place;a must try for coffee or cocktails. read more

Stopped in for a latte for the Lovely Bride before a trip in the Zephyr. Quick service, good options for coffee and teas and such. She approved of the latte, so that'll help my day. ;-) The train was delayed, so I went back for a cappuccino and a quiche. Good decision. Fluffy eggs and a good bit of Black Forest ham and cheese. Warming and filing. read more

Very cute and convenient coffee shop nestled inside of Union Station. Clean and cozy, it's got most of the standard orders and some off the trodden path orders. I got a coconut milk matcha latte and my boyfriend got a regular latte. The matcha latte was okay -- the grade of matcha isn't the best and therefore isn't really flavorful. The latte is made with a matcha concentrate so that may be the source of flavorlessness. The regular latte was quite tasty!! I think I would've gone with one of those instead. It's not too coffee forward and the foam was good. It was cool to see their milk add-ins on tap. Cleaner and takes up less space. The shop has a lot of options for reusable branded drink ware, if you're into it. Staff isn't your happy Starbucks or Peet's crowd but they are nice enough. read more

Pigtrain Coffee Co @ UNION STATION I want to like you. But sometimes, you always have LONG LONG Lines, aka never-ending long lines to get a simple coffee, tea or some treats. Its GOOD when there is NO LINE. Yes, you offer some sweet pastries and other savory items. YES, there is some seating outside if weather permits. But because of the long lines waits, I will go somewhere in town.. One advantage for Pigtrain Coffee Co that I like they open till late... A really cute shop in the Terminal at Union Station, but lacking service. We popped in and got water and a chocolate croissant and bagel before we hopped a train. The cashier was almost nonverbal and they burnt the bagel! The croissant was OK, but had like 1 square inch of chocolate in it and really needed to be warmed. Water came in a box! That was a first, but I kind of liked it. It worked, it didn't wow. read more

Pigtrain coffee is right on the money, nestled inside of Union Station in downtown Denver, Colorado this spot has what you need to put the pep back in your step. Opening their doors at 6A and brewing up the caffeinated goodness until 11P this coffee should brings the small town local vibe while delivering some of the most delicious coffee I've ever enjoyed. I smashed a 16oz Carmel Blended Cold Brew and it's fucking delicious. My lady took down a 12oz Lavender Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk, they didn't mind our Los Angeles vibes asking for Almond Milk so that earned them extra points in our book. This was one of my favorite coffee shops when I was in Denver this week. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us even with recommendations of what was around, and the overall vibe was very relaxing. PIgtrain is all that. We stopped in for a couple of Chai Lattes, only to be lured into looking at the baked goodies available while waiting to place our order. The Chai was excellent... spicy, sweet and hot. Just the way I like most of the things in my world. In short, we also walked out with a lemon bar and a mixed brownie. I can't comment on the brownie, however, the lemon ba was the most delicious lemon bar to pass my lips in this lifetime. Wow,Yum,Savor... spot on lemony perfection prepared with just the right amount of flakey shortbread crust, the tart and the sweet mingling across my taste buds... delightful indeed. If you happen to be roaming around downtown after dinner in search of coffee and dessert, stop in at Pigtrain and take a seat in the main hall of Union Station to do a little people watching. No complaints on the service, there was a line and our wait was fairly short. Nice job Pigtrain! read more

These five stars shall be awarded to the salted caramel bar here at Pigtrain. I'm pretty sure my latte did the job, too (they have the usual alternative milk options, after all! Including a rather beachy-tasting coconut). But let's talk about that caramel bar. The outer crumbly stuff is rich, buttery, and would put any pie crust to shame. The inner filling is so sweet, rich, velvety and (obviously) CARAMELY that I almost forgot I was in Union Station (because, let's face it: who wants to be anywhere in Union Station during rush hour?) But WOW! I actually bought that caramel bar as a secret backup in case wherever we went for dinner later didn't have a dessert menu or only served sorbet or something (tragic, but it happens). And I didn't end up needing the backup, but I ate it anyway. It's BLISS. True, true bliss. Like all the good parts of pecan pie. Or of life. This caramel bar is not for non-sweets people, but it's AMAZING. I cannot wait to try the other pastries! read more

Great place in Union Station. The beverages are not as flavorful as I thought they would be, but still tasty. The staff is awesome and very patient with the volume of people they deal with. My family and I had a Golden Turmeric Latte, chai, cider, shot of espresso, and basic americano. The coffee was delicious, but the chai and turmeric latte were the ones I hope to have a bit more flavor from. I will still definitely be back, just might go the classic route! Get the cold brew slushie!! Oh wow! It was the perfect treat on an unusual hot October day in Denver! It was way more creamier than traditional cold brew but the barista warned us. She explained it as a coffee milkshake and that's exactly what it tasted like! It was so yummy! Also I loved the decor here! Very unique and it fit right into Union Square. The coffee was ok. The level of cleanliness and hygienic practices of the staff left a lot to be desired. The staff definitely needs to be retrained in this area. For example, we saw a staff member pick her nose and then wipe her hand on a cloth towel used in the food prep area. We also saw the same staff member use long spoon used in stirring customer drinks to stir a personal drink that she was drinking from. I came away from this establishment worrying that I might get sick!! read more

Grabbing a coffee at the bustling Union Station gives me those exciting, wanderlust-y vibes, even if that's as far as I'll get from home that day. This is probably the quickest stop to grab a caffeine boost before catching your train to your next destination. The shop itself (like everything in Union Station) is stately and pretty. They have all your typical coffee drinks, including my go-to americano with steamed coconut milk. Their treats are pretty on point--the ever popular "popster" and more recently, some good lookin' doughnuts from Hotbox. There are a few places within walking distance to grab a solid cup of coffee (Mercantile, Amante), and to be honest Pigtrain's coffee doesn't stand out to me. I *do* like hanging out at those tables outside to get some work done or take a meeting--the people watching isn't bad either. Maddie C made a good point that as a work-from-home lady, it's a good spot to work and avoid getting side eyed by your barista after you've been there for more than a couple of hours. The downside? I haven't had great luck with the wifi and typically use my own hotspot. Not a big deal for me, but something to think about if you head there for a workday. read more

Management, these women were so disgustingly rude this morning I won't return and I'm a every morning customer on my way to work. I took my parents here to grab food and coffee and was horrified at how they were treated. (Photo attached) The brunette on the far right took our order with so much attitude. If you're unhappy to be here, quit. But don't be an a**hole to my parents and question their order and roll your eyes. Then the blonde was a real treat (bright white bob) My dad was confused that the milk was on tap and asked for some and she said "So there's no milk in the taps. They're broken? That's what you're telling me?" Would it kill you to explain it to your elders and be polite? I don't drink coffee, so this review is about their hot chocolate and pastries, which are both excellent! Sometimes the line can be long (Union Station is a popular place), but I think they do a decent job of keeping things moving. They also some cute Union Station and Denver-branded items, like water bottles, umbrellas, and pictures. The shop itself is pretty small, so there's not seating space inside, but they have a very nice outdoor space that looks out on the fountain in front of Union Station, and there is plenty of comfortable seating inside Union Station (with great people-watching). read more

I love this place, and will deal with horrific parking just to enjoy it. The greatest thing about Pigtrain is that it's in Union Station. I know it's a tourist trap, but it's beautiful, and I love hanging out there. If we aren't getting a real drink at the Terminal Bar, Pigtrain is our go-to. Pigtrain offers only slightly elevated prices, and is pretty comparable to other shops in the area. The coffee is always fantastic, like really fantastic, and the food is pretty good, too. I've tried a homemade pop tart, and an espresso chip cookie, and both were delicious. Service can be a bit abrupt sometimes, but I imagine it's not easy to deal with a barrage of tourists all day. Also, the wait once you order is always pretty bad, so expect to stand for about five minutes. I will definitely continue coming here for delicious coffee and to enjoy the beautiful Union Station for years to come. Just writing this made me crave a vanilla latte! read more

Grab and go coffee ok. All five of us had cups that leaked. Tops didn't fit well. Nice location.

I've been in a couple of times for a latte and have found them to be just okay. My coconut milk latte tasted burnt the last time I had it and it was not enjoyable to drink. The service was also okay but not particularly friendly or helpful with the few questions I asked. I love sitting in Union Station with a coffee so I will probably be back to try something else and see if the experience improves. read more

This place is conveniently located, you can enter from inside or outside of Union Station. I just wanted some coffee and it seemed like a good choice at the time, but since I judge a coffee shop by their espresso, Pigtrain was okay at best.
