This most recent visit, my pastor brought our men's trip through here to gather before the new guys started their time here in Colorado. This place was busy! I got a hot coffee and a burrito. Unfortunately, the sandwich was sold out around mid-morning. I'm not sure where they get the burritos, they come pre-packaged and get pressed till hot and crispy. Once my food was up, we all gathered upstairs in an outdoor patio area. The narrow staircase leads you to two small, cozy areas to enjoy your food and beverage. Since we were a bigger group, we took our place outside. The burrito was excellent. Soft eggs, potatoes and cheese. It was filling and hit the spot. This location in the Platte River/Confluence Park area is located in the lobby of a business building including a WeWork so expect some foot traffic but there is plenty of seating and the same great quality drinks and pastries you would expect from Blue Sparrow. Keep in mind there is only paid parking around metered on the street or in lots and garages. Jeff, the owner, and team do a wonderful job of creating spots that are just slightly above the rest in terms of quality of drinks, phenomenal service, and beautiful spaces. Of course, Pat could not resist! We had a wonderful talk with Nathan and learned he was from Long Island, NY. His parents, brother, and sister had all moved to Denver as well. Nathan is a potter, attends a music writing workshop each year, and has started a new job in sales. You meet the best people in coffee shops!!!

Have to use the bathroom? Ask at the counter and they'll guide you to the shared bathrooms down the hall. If I had one critical feedback it would be on their smoothies. I've had a few, but most recently the Almond Hemp Protein Smoothie, and they are so incredibly thick that they are impossible to drink through a straw. The viscosity is such that they are really only edible with a spoon, like a smoothie bowl rather than a smoothie in a cup. Overall though, a great spot for some coffee and healthy snacks!
