Moontime Crepes food truck was stationed at New Terrain Brewing Co. today and for a relaxing Summer afternoon, great beer and a delicious savory crepe really hit the spot! I got the Big Lily Mammoth crepe and I'm blown away by how good it was. Deceptively big portions and the crepe holder is a sturdy and perfect way to eat without getting your hands dirty. Pricing may seem high right off the bat, but these things are packed with ingredients and are worth it! I was given a buzzer and waited less than 5 minutes for my order to be ready! The staff was super friendly with big smiles all around and I didn't realize until looking back at photos that the guy was posing for the photo in the back holding up crepes, which is hilarious. Great attitudes, very quick turnaround time from ordering to receiving food and I would highly recommend trying these out if you see them! All their offerings sound delicious and based off my experience, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. read more

Y'all I had the best encounter/service at Moontime yesterday! When I was ordering the food, he was talking to the previous person about how the crepe was made. I already had a smile on my face and cause it was so nice to hear. This is my first time at moontime crepes and it absolutely won't be my last! I ordered the Big Lilly Mammoth, which was absolutely stuffed with fillings (chicken, Brie, bacon, green chilies, red onions, tomatoes, & spinach). The flavors balanced each other out perfectly. The only problem, was that the crepes are so stuffed that you have to be careful to be sure nothing falls out when you're eating them. You've heard the phrase "a party in your mouth." My crepe was like the best party ever - great mingling, not too much or too little of anything, contrasts and harmony, bright notes, satisfying, fun. As good as anything I have ever eaten! I had the Big Lily Mammoth because each of the ingredients sounded appealing. (But that's true of the entire menu.) I wasn't too sure about Sweet Heat sauce but thought "What the heck, try it," and I was glad I did. Each bite was a different symphony of flavor. Because of all the veggies, it felt really healthy and tasted decadent at the same time. The whole combination was incredibly good. It was huge but wasn't over-filling or heavy - just right. A note to the wise: We had tried to get crepes at Moontime the evening before, but the place had just closed at 8 (an hour early). Don't know if they ran out of things or what the problem was, because there were plenty of people looking for what they wanted to eat at the Edgewater Public Market. Tonight we went in earlier. We wanted to try the Monte Cristo Crepe Bites but they were out. Next time, I hope. That was our original reason for trying this place. I love a good crepe, whether savory or sweet and I have had my fair share all across our great divide. Something about Moontime just didn't sit well. Not sure if it was the crepe itself (it was hard and dry not light and fluffy) or the fact it was loaded so much with butter (there is such a thing as too much). I had the Bananas Foster and it wasn't until 5bites into it that i hit that banana. So the fruit itself was minimal. Then there's the sauce. It was oozing from everywhere and it was uber thick, uber sweet and just a plain mess. I think I'm crashing this morning from all the sugar. Mom had the Disco and thale nutella mixed with strawberries and banana wasn't too bad but again, the crepe was overcooked and the nutella, over abundant. Yes, we could've eaten these with our hands but the mess made it impossible. They didn't gave plasticware for us and I think I ended up using all my wet wipes to clean up. Yikes! The food here is good. General portions. Crepes a bit on the stiff side so they fall apart in your hand. A couple of things to note. We LOVE tater tots and decided to go with the 10 piece of their cheese stuffed ones for the 4 of us. Turns out? They're HUGE. the size of a small Apple or a plum. We should have just ordered 4. Also, if you are a fan of crunchy bacon, don't add it to your crepe. Holy crepes! Huge, delicious, fresh crepes are the best! And they are even better when the food truck is parked outside my office building. The crepe itself was light, chewy and airy, with just a bit of crisp crunch on the edges. The filling for the Little Lilly (brie, chicken, onions, spinach, and tomato with garlic and cilantro avocado sauce) was fresh, plentiful and tasty. I love how they serve the large crepes folded up into a small paper cone which is wrapped with paper plate, making it not only easy to carry but then you can just unfold and eat off the paper plate. I'm excited to see that they are back on the schedule again for Colorado Center for lunch again! P.S. My wife had been bugging me to try out Moontime Crepes for some time now and each time I told her another time. Sadly for me, I didn't realize that her choosing Moontime Crepes for dessert introduced me to a whole new love of crepes. You see, I don't really like crepes. I'm more of an ice cream or chocolate cake type of guy, but after trying their S'mores Crepe I must say crepes are now added to the list. Onto the food! The s'mores crepe was absolutely delicious. It was massive in size, gooey in the inside and chocolatey all the way down. My only complaint being they added too many nuts. I decided to go to Edgewater Public Market on a Sunday morning and saw that Moontime Crepes offers brunch crapes! So perfect! I got an egg bacon and cheese one of my partner got one with chicken, goat cheese, and spinach. Both were equally delicious in their own way. I appreciated that the crapes had handheld cones that you could tear off on perforated edges as you eat the crêpe down. That was pretty cool. Delicious! All of the ingredients were really fresh and it had TONS of flavor. I only wish I ordered 3-4 different ones to try out because it was so delicious! Crepes are one of those meals where I can never decide if I want sweet or savory and the savory versions don't ever tend to live up. This one did for sure! There were sweet options available, and I bet they were delicious as well. I can't wait to go back and get a sweet version next time! The employee working (not sure if he was the owner) was awesome. This is my favorite spot in Denver. I used to hit up Stem Cider every Thursday when their food truck was there, so having a permanent spot in Edgewater Public Market down the road from me is AMAZING. I really love the Papa Legba as a savory choice and you can't go wrong with any of the sweet ones, but my favorite is the Happy Camper. The staff is so friendly and has begun to recognize me (don't know if I should be proud of this or embarrassed?) I recently tried the "Balls of Confusion" - the tater tots stuffed with cheese. The large order size is definitely LARGE. I could only have two of these before tapping out, they are filled with cheesy goodness and filling. Very decadent. Dying to try some of the other "Snacks/Apps" as I think those might be a newer additions to their menu. Big fan of all the brunch crepes with Hollandaise, too. YUM. read more

We ordered the Big Lilly Mammoth and Trouble savory crepes and both were outstanding. Served hot, huge and great flavors. For dessert I ordered the bananas foster sweet crepe and it was awesome. I'm just going to start by saying wow. This place has it all. Extensive menu with well thought out ingredients and something for everyone. Mike, the owner is a gem all on his own but put him in his element and magic happens. These crepes (basically full handheld meals) are loaded with top shelf ingredients and crafted with the utmost attention to detail. They even come in a sleeve designed by mike himself with perforated rip off points so you don't have to fumble with your bare hands. 10 out of 10 would recommend this spot to anyone looking for awesome elevated street food that leaves you just simply satisfied and impressed.
