I stopped for a Honey Rose iced latte before my stroll around the park, and was pleased by how flavorful it was. Service was quick, and luckily I got my drink before the morning Sunday rush I saw after me. The only downside was the price. Almost $8 for my medium drink, granted I opted for the $1 oat milk replacement instead of their typical whole milk. But the most surprising thing the pre-added "service charge" of 15% which the front register girl tried to hide on the screen when she turned it around to me for a signature. She initially showed me the screen without it, but then said she forgot something and added that to the tab. I think transparency with these forced gratuities/tips/charges would be great to prevent these surprise encounters, especially with to-go orders. Other than that, I do like the vibe of this place and would find it to be a good quick stop if you're craving a coffee or small bite.

Crepes are so much more of a surprise and delight situation so let me give that a shot. Even though they didn't have any reviews, I peeped their social media presence to make sure they were legit. Last-minute booking was super easy. Adam's communication style was laid back but professional. He charges by the hour and his set up includes some great combos that satisfy savory and sweet toothies alike. I've got to admit that I usually put my nose up at crepes because they never seem to fulfill the desire for a hearty meal but these were outstanding! The Saucisson for dinner and cookie butter + banana for dessert hit the spot! Oh my gosh! Almost forgot...he brought a speaker and was playing the classic music you'd hear at a French cafe. Very nice touch.

Every crêpe we make is made to order from scratch right in front of you on our giant grill. We offer sweet options with classic fillings like cinnamon sugar, Nutella, cookie butter, bananas, and strawberries, as well as savory options like ham, sausage, Gruyère and Brie. We even do specialty crêpes from time to time like the S’morgi with chocolate and marshmallow, and the Pumpkin Spice Crêpe with pumpkin butter.

But I am glad we had time today and went shortly after they opened for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to share one savory crepe and one sweet. They are very large yet delicate and we barely finished them. Our savory was the Parisian and the sweet was the classic lemon. They were perfect in every way. Order at the counter when you arrive and choose a seat in the dining area. It's classic white walls with art and wood tabletops and metal classic cafe chairs. The food was excellent, the French chef owner made the crepes and delivered them to the table. We had picked up our drinks as we paid before choosing a table. It's usually been full when I've seen pictures in the past but it was a very cold day and students at CU as well as other families just getting back from the holiday season. They also offer Build Your Own Crepe and we probably will next time. For a sweet crepe next time I would do one with Nutella but without any banana as many of the standard choices had. For savory next time I would take the Normandy. We chose quickly today as a line started forming behind us. I had looked online at the menu though my husband had not had time. A plan would be good. It appeared that the counter staff may also be family. It is such a welcoming place with really good food, not found elsewhere in Boulder. And very good pricing for quality and portion size. They opened in an unusual little spot, almost downtown but not quite, in the stretch along Broadway between CU and the Pearl St Mall. They have a small parking access to 4 shared spaces with the shop next door to it and the access is on Arapahoe. If you are staying at the large new hotels on the Hill it's an easy walk, the equivalent of one long block. If you know Boulder well and need to easily park, there is paid parking in the library lot across Broadway and an easy flat walk both ways.
