    Small Entertainer Cheese Board

Highly recommended ordering any of the cheese boards online for pickup on the day you would like to serve it. Very convenient and honestly priced fairly. If I were to make this myself, I'm sure I would spend more at the grocery store.

I only live a few blocks from this spot and am sad I waited to long to come in and try to deliciousness that is So Damn Gouda! Wow. The shop itself is laid out in such an inviting and lovely way, it's clean, and the service was wonderful! My partner and I learned so much in such a short visit! I ended up trying out the Bad Hamma Jamma sandwich on their fresh baguette and dare I say... the ham just melts in your mouth. I couldn't believe what a treat it was and I am so glad I stopped in. I will surely be back in no time to try more sandwiches and taste some of the rare and unique cheeses!

Perhaps we stopped there for the first time because we needed a dessert after BSH. Maybe it was after the Jefe bottomless. It doesn't matter. Perhaps I am not a father but love dad jokes. Perhaps we all agree that cheese is the best thing...like ever. Moving on. A) it IS a good dad joke and pun B) the atmosphere lures you in...in the best way C) they actually know a LOT about cheese. They have some ridiculous gouda cheese that you should go there for alone. I have included some pics of our latest cheese plate and the place itself. They have a cheese from Switzerland that a family on top of a mountain only can make like twice a year. Ask them questions. They will answer them. And they will be specific about their follow up questions. The place is a cheese utopia. But, just know you are missing out for not checking this place out. Definitely recommend and see you there.

Charcuterie, I made it myself with So Damn Gouda meats and cheeses

It's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said about So Damn Gouda! This cheese shop definitely lived up to the hype. Wonderful products, served by a really knowledgeable staff! We got some meats and cheeses for a charcuterie board it was amazing!

Top left, bottom left are all the things we got from So Damn Gouda. Absolutely amazing. Nothing disappointed.

Honestly, what makes me happiest about this place is that when I tell them I like Tillamook cheddar and ask for recommendations, I'm not turned away. Instead, they don't skip a beat and give me a whole list of options, saying which may be outside my comfort zone, which ones I may like the most and which ones I should probably avoid. They've got some of the highest quality meats I've ever had. They create a comfortable atmosphere when ordering and are more than happy to answer any questions. For Christmas Eve, I ordered their 13x18 platter with four additional meats. The French onion Emmental cheese spread surpassed expectations and was like an ultra fancy onion dip, but much thicker. The hard chorizo was a big hit with everyone. Honestly, everything was a hit. In fact, I dare say their platter made everyone forget just how miserable 2020 has been. They've even got different sized boxes pre-made, like grown-up Lunchables. They are perfect for a picnic or a drive through the mountains and you want a snack for the road. I cannot imagine a better cheese shop to have in the neighborhood.

Delivery for cheese plate and bottle of wine

I've been privy to the massive cheese plates from So Damn Gouda pre-COVID-19 and was always impressed. And then I saw on the IG that they're offering delivery for wine and cheese plates during the current pandemic. And let's face it, making your own food (including cheese plates) gets old after awhile... plus I MISS going to wine bars so much these days. This was the next best thing. Ordering directly through the SDG site was simple, you should plan on ordering at least a day in advance. I placed my order on a Monday for Wednesday afternoon delivery and paid via credit card + tip. It came out to $52 which included a cheese + charcuterie board for 2-4 people, plus a bottle of wine and $10 tip. Free delivery. Kudos to the contact-free delivery. It was a little early and they were very friendly when I greeted them through my front screen door. They did verify my age so they knew they weren't serving a minor (let's face it, who in Park Hill would be ordering white wine and charcuterie that's under the age of 45?). Not gonna lie, I was a little bummed when I saw the small box that the food came in... Until I opened it up and saw that there was plenty of cheeses, meats, nuts, crackers, apricots, jam, pickles and olives for two hungry people. I chowed down on that bad boy and so did my husband, we treated it as a pre-dinner snack and I ate the leftovers for part of my lunch the day. So Damn Gouda, you made my #StayHome experience last week just a little brighter. I looked forward to to the delivery and was more than pleased with what you brought to my house!

Date night cheese/meat and bottle of wine delivered!!!
    Mallory C.

Literally, our best memory from the last four months, living this quarantine life. I had experienced SDG before, when my friend had it delivered for girl's nights, and I decided to take the plunge for our 9th dating anniversary, since our options for celebrating were limited. IT WAS AMAZING. The delivery came at EXACTLY the scheduled time, and everything was packaged carefully, with lovely presentation. We got the date night package, with a bottle of sparkling wine, and had ZERO leftovers. We need to order again, because I crave their food! It is also worth mentioning that the prices are incredibly reasonable, for the quality and presentation. You would pay WAY more than they ask in a restaurant for lower quality. I am an SDG fan for life, and cannot wait for our next order!

The Cheesemonger's choice meat and cheese selections and we added on our own selections of shop jams, chips, and wine.

So Damn Gouda is such a breath of fresh air. TLDR: if you like quality charcuterie, this is exactly what you're looking for. We explored here and were overwhelmed by this shop's selections and kindness among the staff. Amateur cheese enthusiasts ourselves, the owner not only curated a scrumptious cheese plate for three- but offered tasty aged meat selections and samples of his finest and favorites. We went a little overboard and added Jamón Iberico potato chips (tasty Spanish ham), French onion compote, and strawberry rosé jam (I'm a lush) as well as a couple bottles of French rosé... did I mention they charge liquor store prices for the bottles? I was so stoked for paying for a bottle what I expected to pay for a couple glasses! What should have easily cost us double next door (where we had planned on sharing brunch), ended up in hours of incredible charcuterie and effortless conversation over this shop's humble but carefully curated offerings. I'm not a friend, nor have I ever been here before, but let's just say we will be *frequent* regulars because of our experience here.

Since the family is Celiac and we're not, we needed a little glutenous snack before the gluten-free holiday. This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center next to a few specialty shops and a Burger King. We went in and there was a line of people waiting to pick up their cheese boards for the next day. We checked out the menu as we waited, watching the beautiful boards come out one after the other and deciding if we should just order a board to take with us. We went with the Bay of Pigs - their Cubano style sandwich with a side of the southwestern pasta salad. After grabbing a table and drooling over more of the gorgeous cheese trays that walked out, they brought our sandwich over to us. While small, it was still generously stuffed with perfectly slow roasted pork, ham, spicy mustard, pickles, cheese and an interesting addition of cabbage that gave it a fun crunch. The southwestern pasta salad was SPICY and studded with small bits of cheese. We inquired about the boards which ranged from $13 - $150, and learned they average about $10/head. Since we needed to get up the hill, we decided to stop by another time to grab one for a future holiday since they offer gluten-free options. Super friendly and quick staff, delicious food, and just a cute atmosphere overall.

There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. Today, I specifically visited Call Your Mother, a Jewish deli, and Izzio Bakery. Atmosphere: Since I went right around the time they opened, the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie. The pastry itself was perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious yellow vanilla cream and cinnamon on the inside. Overall Experience: Overall, I really enjoy coming here and trying new places. It is a fantastic destination for groups or just a solo morning out. Whether you want a savory breakfast bagel sandwich or a beautiful pastry, The Denver Central Market always hits the spot. I'll definitely be back to explore more.
